Named one of the top 12 standout places to stay in Maine "right now" by Downeast magazine, the Trellis House is an oasis in the middle of a bustling beach community. Located on a quiet side street midway between Ogunquit village and Perkins cove. A short walk in any direction will take you to all that is special in Ogunquit. If you're not in the mood to walk, the trolley stops at the end of our street just steps away. In the afternoon, after a day of exploring, enjoy a cool drink on our large wraparound porch. The Trellis House has over a dozen flower gardens to please the eyes and enhance a truly relaxing atmosphere.

This is a very nice B & B with lots of personal attention. Wonderful breakfast prepared by hosts with great attention to food allergies. Wonderful turn down every evening as well as little snacks left for guests. Beautiful property and great location to downtown Ogunquit, Perkin's Cove and Marginal Way. We stayed in a smaller room but is was lovely. Will definitely go back!!

Wonderful stay. Too short. Delightful in all respects. The environment created by the hosts is spectacular. The decor. The food, the staff and of course Bentley!

Not sure we have ever stayed in a more peaceful, quiet and beautifully decorated B&B. The Trellis House is about a four minute walk from the ocean in the most beautiful part of Ogunquit; set back off of the busy main road. This is important to note as downtown Ogunquit can get very busy, so if you’re looking for a peaceful respite you will not want to be located on the “main drag”. Accommodations in the eight extra-large rooms feature stunning decor, hand selected by the proprietors. Personal refrigerators, your own beach flip-flops, beach chairs, and towels; nightly turn-down service with home baked goodies and fresh flowers throughout are the special touches which make this establishment spectacular. If we could have fit the pillows in our suitcase, we would have. It’s the kind of place you’d see featured in Architectural Digest magazine. A big wrap-around porch and quaint backyard are the common spaces where guests come to mingle and have afternoon G&T’s, before heading out to the ocean walkway (called the Marginal Way) for a sunset stroll, watching the tide go out. The gardens on the property (including the blueberry bushes for your snacking) were hand selected and planted by the owners, and are overflowing with blossoming flowers of every kind. You can lose yourself for a few hours playing with Bentley in these gardens, watching Koi fish swim, and dozens of birds fluttering about. If you have not heard of Bentley, look at the website. Our favorite bit about the location is the close proximity to the walkway over to Perkins Cove, which is straight out of a storybook with a handful of exquisite seafood restaurants and a view, which is unmatched in the area. Just ask the owners for dining recommendations: guaranteed they will exceed your expectations. Oh yes, let’s not forget the breakfasts; prepared with fresh ingredients ...many grown onsite by the two skilled owners (Glenn and Lawrence).

I had a wonderful stay at the Trellis House in Ogunquit. It is a bed and breakfast with a big emphasis on breakfast. Every breakfast was a gourmet experience...the food could not have been better. Additionally, there is a wonderful snack in the afternoon after you return from the beach and a delicious treat before you go to bed. Laurence and Glen, the proprietors are so welcoming and friendly and can't do enough to make your visit a memorable one. It is also a perfect location being halfway between Perkins Cove and the center of Ogunquit so walking everywhere is easy. I would highly recommend this place!

My husband and I stayed here for two nights and had a wonderful experience. The owners and staff go above and beyond for each guest and treat them all like family. Would definitely recommend this place!

The Trellis House in Ogunquit, Maine is a premium bed & breakfast. Conveniently located near both Perkins Cove and Ogunquit Beach. The downtown area (with its fine shops and restaurants) as well as shops in other areas are all within walking distance. Beautifully furnished rooms in the main inn, the carriage house, and a smaller one-party house. The owners go out of their way to provide a comfortable, friendly stay. A gourmet breakfast each day, an afternoon snack on the large front porch, and an evening sweet treat are always outstanding and delicious! We will only go to the Trellis House when in Maine.
