very nice b & b

4.4 on September 15, 2018

This is a very nice B & B with lots of personal attention. Wonderful breakfast prepared by hosts with great attention to food allergies. Wonderful turn down every evening as well as little snacks left for guests. Beautiful property and great location to downtown Ogunquit, Perkin's Cove and Marginal Way. We stayed in a smaller room but is was lovely. Will definitely go back!!

Perfection times a hundred!

Wonderful stay. Too short. Delightful in all respects. The environment created by the hosts is spectacular. The decor. The food, the staff and of course Bentley!

Chic oasis in a vibrant seaside village

5 on August 10, 2018

Not sure we have ever stayed in a more peaceful, quiet and beautifully decorated B&B. The Trellis House is about a four minute walk from the ocean in the most beautiful part of Ogunquit; set back off of the busy main road. This is important to note as downtown Ogunquit can get very busy, so if you’re looking for a peaceful respite you will not want to be located on the “main drag”. Accommodations in the eight extra-large rooms feature stunning decor, hand selected by the proprietors. Personal refrigerators, your own beach flip-flops, beach chairs, and towels; nightly turn-down service with home baked goodies and fresh flowers throughout are the special touches which make this establishment spectacular. If we could have fit the pillows in our suitcase, we would have. It’s the kind of place you’d see featured in Architectural Digest magazine. A big wrap-around porch and quaint backyard are the common spaces where guests come to mingle and have afternoon G&T’s, before heading out to the ocean walkway (called the Marginal Way) for a sunset stroll, watching the tide go out. The gardens on the property (including the blueberry bushes for your snacking) were hand selected and planted by the owners, and are overflowing with blossoming flowers of every kind. You can lose yourself for a few hours playing with Bentley in these gardens, watching Koi fish swim, and dozens of birds fluttering about. If you have not heard of Bentley, look at the website. Our favorite bit about the location is the close proximity to the walkway over to Perkins Cove, which is straight out of a storybook with a handful of exquisite seafood restaurants and a view, which is unmatched in the area. Just ask the owners for dining recommendations: guaranteed they will exceed your expectations. Oh yes, let’s not forget the breakfasts; prepared with fresh ingredients ...many grown onsite by the two skilled owners (Glenn and Lawrence).

An Outstanding Stay in Ogunquit

5 on August 07, 2018

I had a wonderful stay at the Trellis House in Ogunquit. It is a bed and breakfast with a big emphasis on breakfast. Every breakfast was a gourmet experience...the food could not have been better. Additionally, there is a wonderful snack in the afternoon after you return from the beach and a delicious treat before you go to bed. Laurence and Glen, the proprietors are so welcoming and friendly and can't do enough to make your visit a memorable one. It is also a perfect location being halfway between Perkins Cove and the center of Ogunquit so walking everywhere is easy. I would highly recommend this place!

Beautiful home

My husband and I stayed here for two nights and had a wonderful experience. The owners and staff go above and beyond for each guest and treat them all like family. Would definitely recommend this place!

Trellis House, Ogunquit, Maine

5 on July 30, 2018

The Trellis House in Ogunquit, Maine is a premium bed & breakfast. Conveniently located near both Perkins Cove and Ogunquit Beach. The downtown area (with its fine shops and restaurants) as well as shops in other areas are all within walking distance. Beautifully furnished rooms in the main inn, the carriage house, and a smaller one-party house. The owners go out of their way to provide a comfortable, friendly stay. A gourmet breakfast each day, an afternoon snack on the large front porch, and an evening sweet treat are always outstanding and delicious! We will only go to the Trellis House when in Maine.

Highly recommended !

Anniversary Vacation

5 on July 27, 2018

The Trellis House is our favorite B n B in Maine. Location is great and the rooms are beautiful. There is a wonderful porch to relax and enjoy your day. The breakfasts are amazing- you must purchase their cookbook. Lawerence and Glen are the best hosts and Bentley is so friendly.

Great stay at Trellis House

Outstanding in every aspect! Great location in a great town! We have stayed 3 consecutive years and plan to do so for many more!

4.8 on July 19, 2018

We had a three night stay in July. It was our third trip to the Trellis House. We visit each year. We plan to go back again in October. Lawrence and Glenn, the owners, have created an exceptional in experience. The rooms are bright and well appointed, in addition to comfortable. The common areas are relaxing, and the breakfasts are exceptional. They also provide good restaurant advice to local eateries. The best inn in New England!

Another great stay at the Trellis House

5 on July 08, 2018

This was our third visit to the Trellis House and each time is better than the last. Hosts Laurence and Glen make you feel at home from the first moments with a glass of champagne upon check in. From making reservations for us for dinner or the theater to the nightly homemade turndown treats, no detail is missed. But the highlight is always the delicious homemade breakfasts. We enjoyed them so much that we took home a copy of Laurence’s new cookbook! We highly recommend the Trellis House!

5 on July 07, 2018

On arrival at the Bed and Breakfast, we were greeted by Lawrence, Glen and Bentley. They took the time to inform us when breakfast would be served and also the hors d’oeuvres. Breakfast was served in the diner where we had the most delicious food, compared to a 5 Star hotel. Hors d’oeuvres were served at 4:30 pm where we met a lot of great people. The Trellis room was beautifully laid out with all the necessities. We enjoyed every moment during our 4 day stay at The Trellis House.

Couldn't have asked for more!

We were so welcomed and well taken care of our entire time there. Exceptional service, amenities and boarding. Thank you!!!

My boyfriend and I stayed for 2 nights during Ogunquit Fest. The Arbor Room was beautiful, and we loved the hammock swing outside our door. The happy hour was great, and the pizza swirls were fantastic!!! Abby and Robin we’re extremely attentive and friendly. Also, the “really good” bacon we had for breakfast was really freaking good!!!!

Relaxing Time

5 on October 26, 2017

We had a great time. Everything was perfect from the property, breakfast, service to the Glen and Laurence. They were helpful with everything we needed including local information.

Second Visit - Will go back again and again!

5 on October 22, 2017

We returned to The Trellis House because our fist visit, last year, was exceptional! We wanted a quiet few days to drive around, enjoy the scenery, eat out and relax. Oh, and we wanted to visit with Bentley. This lovely dog has such a calming influence. He loves everyone and assumes that everyone loves him, too. AND.....they do :-) The B & B is immaculate, beautifully decorated and comfortable. Laurence and Glen couldn't possibly be better hosts. The breakfasts are the best that we've had anywhere, and we always stay at B & Bs. We always meet interesting people when we stay and enjoy talking to folks from different parts of the country. We will definitely be back again soon!

Still No 1 in Ogunquit

5 on October 16, 2017

The relatively (over 2 years now) owners / innkeepers at the Trellis House, Laurence & Glen, are the perfect hosts, the very hearts & souls of good cheer, and continue to outdo themselves on every count. The Trellis House is, of course, wonderfully well situated on a quiet side street in the middle of Ogunquit town, and within easy walking distance of everything: shops, restaurants, the beach, etc, etc. You can, for the most part, park your car and forget it. Our favorite rooms are either the York or Ogunquit suites, in the main house. Both are quite huge, lovely & bright. Scrumptious, elaborate breakfasts are provided on a daily basis. Also a tasty good night snack is brought to your room every evening. There is a lovely porch and lovely gardens too, in which to just relax in an easy chair. We've been coming to the Trellis for at least 17 years now. We hope to be coming back for at least another 17 years.

So glad we found the Trellis House!!!

5 on October 15, 2017

From the moment we walked in we felt so welcomed! The rooms are beautifully decorated ! Breakfast was amazing! Can not wait to back in June and July! Also can not forget Bentley !

Great place to stay in Ogunquit

4.2 on September 15, 2017

Trellis House is an amazing place to stay in beautiful Ogunquit. The breakfasts were super gourmet quality and Lawrence and Glen are the best hosts. Plus you can park your car in their lot and leave it. It's convenient to the town and Perkins Cove. We will go back.

Just as good the second time.

5 on September 13, 2017

This was our fifth visit to the Trellis House, and the second time under new ownership. They've done a great job improving the decor and elevating the service. The breakfast is outstanding, and the attention to detail is evident throughout. The owners enjoy providing a welcoming environment for their guests. They make you want to return again and again..

Loved every bit of Trellis House!

We absolutely loved our time at Trellis House. This was one stop during our "mini-moon" shortly after our wedding and it was by far the best placed we stayed. Absolutely loved it!

Trellis House - A Must Stay in Ogunquit

5 on August 22, 2017

What a fantastic experience. Laurence and Glen (OK, Bentley their wonderful dog too) are the best hosts. They really know how to make you feel at home. And, the breakfast is superb. Our room (the Veranda room) was great and we truly enjoyed our stay. Can't wait to return. From Scott and Chris, thanks so much Laurence and Glen.

Best B&B in Maine

5 on August 20, 2017

The Trellis House exceeded our expectations. From the minute that you walk in the door, Laurence and Glenn are making you feel right at home. The porch is perfect for relaxing and reading with a cocktail or coffee. The location is perfect for getting to the beach along the marginal way or getting to any of the many restaurants in the area. Our room was comfortable and clean. we didn't have a view because I booked late but all of our free time was sent on the Marginal Way looking at the ocean view. Breakfast was amazing. You will not be disappointed. It was so good that we bought their cookbook to try and recreate our meals at home. The Trellis House is not to be missed. We are going back again soon.

The Best of the Best!

Our visit to the Trellis House was a surprise Christmas gift from our daughters. We could not have imagined how charming, relaxing, and lovely this experience was! Lawrence, Glen, Bentley, and the ladies could not have been more welcoming and attentive to all their guests! And the gardens! and the Breakfasts! and the Sweet treats at night! All made for a magical stay in Ogunquit! Until next time.... Laurie Beth & John

Once again another great stay at The Trellis House! Everything was great! The breakfasts are amazing and they now have a cookbook- which of course I purchased! This is the best place to stay in Ogunquit. Laurence and Glen are the best hosts. Let's not forget Bentley- he is so friendly and adorable. This is the only place we stay when we visit the area. Looking forward to our next stay.

Excellent stay - will definiyrly return

5 on July 24, 2017

My husband and I stayed here to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. This was our first visit to Ogunquit, and we choose the Trellis House due to their good reviews. The location is great - a short walk to the town center, the beach and Marginal Way. Rooms and grounds are exceptionally clean and beautifully decorated. Glen and Laurence are excellent hosts. We arrived well before check in and they provided us with backpack chairs, beach bags, and towels to spend some time at the beach. When we returned, we were served champagne and homemade blueberry bread as we waited for our check in to be completed. They helped us to arrange wonderful dinner reservations, and left us delicious home baked goodies in our room each night. The breakfasts were absolutely delicious. We will certainly return.

Outstanding find in crowded Ogunquit

5 on July 18, 2017

If you’re planning a trip to Ogunquit, ME, try to book a room at this charming B and B. Our accommodation was spacious and comfortable and the breakfasts were creative and delicious. Our hosts, Laurence and Glen, were friendly and knowledgeable of the area and very helpful in making dinner reservations. The inn is a short walk to the beach and to the town with its many shops and restaurants. I wouldn’t hesitate for a minute to make a return visit.

Could NOT have been more pleased with our stay at the Trellis House! From the moment we arrived and were greeted with crisp glasses of champagne and immediate calls to nearby restaurants for a late dinner, our Host Laurence and his partner Glenn made us feel like treasured guests. The homemade (from scratch!) breakfasts were to die for, beds and linens cozy and comfy with gorgeous flowers everywhere we looked

Quiet Maine Getaway

5 on June 06, 2017

My husband and I recently stayed at the Trellis House for our 25 year anniversary. We had never been to Maine before and Lawrence and Glen were so helpful with suggestions on sites to see and restaurants to try. The level of personal service at the Trellis was outstanding. And the breakfasts! So creative and filling. They also have afternoon snacks, fresh flowers in your room and special small desserts as part of turndown service. There are also many quiet little places to sit and relax on the property. Central location in Ogunquit also. We will be back!

Charming B&B

Outstanding B&B in Ogunquit, ME

5 on May 23, 2017

My wife & I have just experienced our first trip to Ogunquit and we couldn't have picked a better place to stay. Laurence & Glen have done a wonderful job of turning the Trellis House into a modern, stylish B&B after buying the place in 2015. They are both incredibly personable, amazingly helpful & really know how to keep guests happy. The hot gourmet breakfasts & night-time turndown treats are incredible. We spent 3 night in the Veranda Room... it was very comfortable (great bed) with a gas fireplace that we weren't able to use due to unseasonably warm May temperatures and a private deck with long-range view of the ocean. We will be back!

Best breakfast in New England!

5 on March 31, 2017

My room was so cute and comfortable that I really didn't want to leave it, even for breakfast, but I also didn't want to miss the delicious meal Laurence had promised. I was not disappointed. Absolutely delicious! I had such a peaceful, restful, fun 24 hours at the Trellis House that I didn't want to leave. I promise to come back one day with my husband for more than one day. He will love it too. Tip: Don't miss the Happy Hour on the porch. So fun and a great way to get to know these amazing owners, Laurence and Glen. Take a walk along the coast and for history buffs, visit the old cemetery nearby and see some Revolutionary War soldiers' graves. Wow!

Still The Best B&B in Ogunquit

5 on October 17, 2016

We've been coming here for many years, first under the old owners, Pat & Jerry, now under the new owners, Laurence & Glen. We cannot recommend this place highly enough. The rooms are lovely, the breakfasts sinfully scrumptious, the location perfect and completely walkable to everything in this great little town. We will be back.

Fantastic transfomation

We stayed at the Inn a few years ago. When booking it again we realized there were new owners. When we entered we were greeted warmly and wow! Glen and Laurence had remodeled the inn and it is incredible. The colors and decor are so tasteful. We felt so comfortable and the hospitality was terrific and fun. We wanted to take the bed home with us it was so comfortable. The breakfast was outstanding. Cannot forget to mention Barkley their well behaved dog. Thank you Laurence and Glen for a great stay. We will surely return in the future.

We celebrated our 49th Anniversary at The Trellis House, and everything was perfect! Laurence and Glen were very gracious hosts, and prepared delicious breakfasts each day. The decor was beautiful and our bedroom (the Kennebunkport room) was very comfortable. Marginal Way is just a few minutes away, and it's an easy walk to either Cape Neddick or the center of Ogunquit. We will be back!

Outstanding in every way!

5 on August 18, 2016

This past July was my fourth yearly visit to The Trellis House. My first stay was under the former ownership which was lovely, but since Glen and Laurence have taken over ownership, I have been simply amazed with the transformation. Every detail is attended to, from the clean and simple lines in the decor, to the individual pampering by Glen and Laurence, not to mention the outstanding home cooked breakfasts in the mornings. My visits to Ogunquit would never more be the same if I could not stay at the Trellis House. Thank you Glen and Laurence for making my summer getaway so much more memorable! See you next year!

5 on July 28, 2016

Can't wait to come back. Laurence, Glen, and Sara were incredible. Our weekend away was perfect, so relaxing and romantic.

Unforgettable Experience

5 on July 22, 2016

Our visit to the Trellis House was one to remember. We were greeted promptly and warmly by Jenn as she handed us two glasses of tasty champagne (with Maine blueberries from the property, of course). The house felt like a home, and the design and decor were exceptional. Our room upstairs was quaint and was equipped with everything we needed and more. Everything was very clean, organized and tastefully arranged. In the afternoons we were treated to hors devours on the front porch while we sipped beverages with friends. The owners, Laurence and Glenn, were so pleasurable and inviting. We were then treated to exceptional breakfasts in the morning. I can't say enough about the whole experience - except you must check this place our for yourselves! Can't wait to visit again.

Anniversary Stay

Pure Bliss!

5 on July 15, 2016

Our stay at the Trellis House was absolutely wonderful! You can’t beat the location or the premises, stunningly beautiful and just a short walk from town or the beach. We stayed in the Camden Cottage which is truly lovely - private, quaint, and very comfortable. Our hosts Glen and Laurence were such a pleasure and had fantastic recommendations for food, fun, and everything in between! And the daily breakfasts – out of this world, I can’t compliment the cooks and staff enough for going above and beyond to make the guests feel happy and at ease. We were surprised and delighted by every detail of our stay – we can’t wait to come back!

Wow !

Everything about this experience was positive. Would highly recommend.

5 on June 06, 2016

Every year my sister and I take a trip together to reconnect and this year we went to Ogunquit, ME. Every where we have traveled we have stayed at a B&B and this was by far the best one we have been to. Their website does not deceive. It is just as spectacular in person. We had the Ogunquit Suite located in the main house and it was great! Very roomy and comfortable. We really enjoyed sitting on the front porch or downstairs visiting with other guests. The property is beautiful and is the perfect location as it is between Perkins Cove and downtown Ogunquit. Was an easy walk also to the beach and a path called Marginal Way that is along the coast. Breakfast was a true delight. We were there for four days so we were able to enjoy four great breakfasts. They fixed lobster hash, strawberry stuffed french toast, breakfast strata, and pecan pie pancakes. Laurence and Glen were such great hosts and every day they went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and make our stay the best it could be. My sister and I did a sailing trip one day and she ended up getting seasick. When we made it back to the B&B Laurence and Glen did all they could to help her out by giving her some fruit, crackers, and tea. They even gave me a ride into town while my sister rested. They scheduled our dinner reservations and in the evenings there was always a little treat waiting for us. It was all the little things that made our time so special. They also have a labradoodle, Bentley, who was also fun to be around. But for those that are not dog lovers I have to say that he is very well behaved. My sister is the dog lover, me not so much. Bentley would always go to my sister to be loved on but he knew not to sit on my lap which I appreciated. I don't know if I will be back to Ogunquit but if I do I will for sure stay at The Trellis House again.

Top notch!

5 on June 03, 2016

The Trellis House totally exceeded my expectations. The beautiful beachy decor, awesome staff, fabulous gourmet breakfast, stunning gardens, and perfect location (we never had to drive once we parked in their driveway, except for a drive to an awesome restaurant recommended by Laurence and Glen in Kennebunk). I cannot wait to go back! .

This is not just a Bed and Breakfast, but a place where Glen and Laurence have made you feel like you are part of the family. It is a comfortable place to relax, laugh, and enjoy your surroundings. The food is beyond excellent, and Glen and Laurence are very accommodating in your dietary needs. Rooms are tastefully decorated and so, so clean!! They offer suggestions on places to eat and visit and offer discounts at certain locations. If you need something, just ask and they will help. Great happy hour to say hello to other guests or relax with Bentley, the house dog! And, a food treat awaits you at bedside each night! Honestly, you won't be disappointed!! “A Perfect Getaway”

5 on October 23, 2015

This was our 5th stay at The Trellis House the first 4 with the prior owners and this time with the new owners Lawrence and Glen. Lawrence greeted us upon arrival with a friendly smile and a welcome by Bentley, their sweet dog. Lawrence and Glen have transformed a very nice B & B into a beautiful welcoming place to stay. The colors are bright and comfortable. After spending the day on a long drive and quick trip to Perkins Cove we decided to have an early evening. A visit about 8:30 p.m. from Lawrence with pecan tarts and flowers was so thoughtful and tasted wonderful. The breakfast area is nice with seating encouraging you to have a conversation with others that are staying there too. Breakfast both mornings was excellent along with all of the coffee you can enjoy. This was a perfect get away from our daily life in Texas! We will be back again.

We were celebrating out 8th wedding anniversary and spent a lovely 2 days with Laurence and Glen at the Trellis House. Laurence prepared 2 fine breakfasts which we thoroughly enjoyed. Bentley, the resident Labradoodle is a sweet dog and was a source of companionship on a rainy afternoon as well as amusement. Our room was large, iimmaculately kept and decorated beautifully, yet comfortably. We enjoyed the special attention we received from Laurence regarding the area and his care in making dinner reservations for us. We plan to go back.

Laurence and Glen are natural B&B hosts. They really get it right - very welcoming and attentive without being overbearing. Special touches, like a welcoming glass of champagne and a special lemon cake to help celebrate our anniversary, were both a pleasant surprise and a very nice touch.

I made the right decision when booking The Trellis house for our anniversary weekend away. Laurence and Glen, the cottage room, Agunquit and the weather all made for a perfect weekend. The trellis house is decorated in a fun beach theme and is well located on a quiet street with a 10 min. walk to beach, 15 min walk on the Marginal Way to Perkins Cove and 5 min. walk to town. The 2 breakfasts Laurence served us were very tasty and the treats left at the turndown service were a very nice surprise. Laurence and Glen are masters at keeping their guests happy and would be glad welcome you, too.

Enchanting escape!

14 Years and Counting

4.6 on September 17, 2014

My husband and I got engaged in Ogunquit 18 years ago in September and have been coming to Ogunquit the same time every year since to celebrate our engagement. Of those 18 years, we have stayed at The Trellis House for 14 and for the past 4 years we have had our friends join us for this annual trip. They love this B&B as much as we do. We love Jerry's wonderful sense of humor and Pat's delicious breakfasts and can't imagine staying anywhere else. The location is perfect walking distance to the Marginal Way, Perkin's Cove and downtown Ogunquit without ever having to get into your car. You will not be disappointed staying here.

Best B&B Ever

5 on September 16, 2014

Wonderful hosts, gourmet breakfast, beautiful location, beach close and best restaurants. Don't pass this one up!

High point of our vacation!

5 on September 02, 2014

This was the 4th year that my daughter and I have stayed at the Trellis House and we absolutely love it! Pat and Gerry are amazing - make us feel like we are part of the family. We have stayed in the York Room and the decor is beautiful. Breakfasts are delicious and beautifully presented and Gerry performs his "waiter duties" with wonderful humor. Can't wait to return next summer.

Ideal Stay and Location

The Trellis House is on Marinal Way and walking distance to everything for a great weekend getaway. It is quiet and restful. If you want a peaceful vacation with little internet access and no hustle and bustle, this is the place to stay.

Two Wonderful Days

This is my favorite place to stay in Ogunquit. This is a charming inn.Jerry and Pat are warm and friendly. The breakfasts are outstanding in their quality, quantity, and presentation. The location is perfect midway between the square and Perkins Cove. The gardens around the inn are gorgeous. I look forward to coming back.

Lovely B&B in Ogunquit

5 on August 24, 2014

My husband and I escaped to nearby Ogunquit, Maine for a brief vacation. The Trellis House was a hidden gem, located halfway between Perkins Cove and downtown Ogunquit. Our room was very clean, the homemade breakfasts were delicious, and the innkeeper was gracious. We would definitely return.

Wonderful Experience !

5 on August 20, 2014

Location, location, location ! Walking distance to the beach, beautiful Marginal Way, fabulous Perkins Cove, many shops and restaurants. Jerry made us feel very welcome. Our room was immaculate and it is very evident that the owners take great pride in their property. The gardens, including a beautiful water garden, are spectacular. Great breakfast of fruit salad, juice, lemon cake and Belgian waffles with Maine blueberries was superb. Very good experience !

Best Bed and Breakfast

5 on August 11, 2014

Jerry and Pat run such a wonderful bed and breakfast. Not only are their breakfast plates to die for, but they are such caring individuals. The location is perfect; a nice and cozy location, only minutes away from the beach and walking distance to everything! The rooms are always clean. If you are looking for a private and charming spot to get away from reality for a little while; I'd highly recommend staying at te Trellis House!

A last minute hidden gem

4.4 on August 05, 2014

I wanted to extend my Maine vacation one more day and stay the last night somewhere different (started out in Camden), and that much closer for the drive home. It was a lucky thing that there was one room available at this charming and really well located B and B. The house and grounds are just what I like, the owners are welcoming and warm, and the breakfast was delicious and larger than I had expected. The English Suite is what was available for me and it suited me perfectly. Since my last night it was not that big a deal that it was a shower and no tub. I did not realize the rooms had refrigerators and that is a plus. Very comfortable mattress and the sheets were so soft. Good seating, good lighting, and a little table was perfect for using my lap top. One suggestion would be a listing of channels, but maybe there was one and I did not see it. I was mostly reading, so it was not that big a deal that one night. I have been in Ogunquit before, but stayed with friends just outside of town. Tucked in behind one of the main roads, the location is so convenient and actually is quite quiet, too. I was happy to find it and recommend staying here.

OUTSTANDING place to stay

5 on July 31, 2014

This year was our third staying at The Trellis House with Pat and Jerry. We got married on the beach this year and were treated like a king and queen! We don't have enough good things to say about our visits to Ogunquit staying at The Trellis House!! Give it a try - you won't be disappointed!

4.4 on July 30, 2014

Lovely home-away-from-home with Excellent breakfast!

4.6 on July 23, 2014

We arrived late in the evening but were still greeted promptly and kindly, and given a thorough tour. The grounds are full of lovely, manicured gardens, and the private (detached) cottage that we stayed in was clean, tidy, and well-appointed. Breakfast on the porch each morning was delicious, served with personal attention, and Pat and Jerry graciously accommodated our dietary needs. We appreciated the proximity to the beach, shops, Marginal way and the coves. Definitely highly recommended!

Innkeeper Response
Thanks for the nice review. We're glad you enjoyed your stay and hope to see you again soon.

I am a repeat guest to The Trellis House. Location is perfect .. everything within walking distance. Rooms are comfortable and very clean with private bath and fridge. Best part is the great breakfast prepared by Pat and served by Jerry, who are very pleasant hosts. Beverly and niece Emily, Rhode Island

A quick getaway

4.0 on July 17, 2014

The room was perfect for my wife and I and very clean. Pat and Jerry were a welcome change from the stiff personality people standing behind a counter that usually check us in. Breakfast had a lot of thought behind the preparation and presentation, but more importantly the breakfast was as good as we could have ordered in any restaurant. We would definitely make The Trellis House one of our first choices for lodging in Ogunquit.

July 2014

5 on July 17, 2014

The Trellis House is the best place in Ogunquit! The location is perfect. The B and B is beautiful- all the rooms are great. The breakfasts are wonderful. Most of all Pat and Jerry are the best hosts. We have been staying there every summer.

A beautiful way to enjoy Beautiful Maine

5 on July 11, 2014

Our room accomodations were charming and very comfortable. The grounds are typical Maine...very colorful and very natural looking. The owners could not have been more pleasant and friendly. And the breakfast....yummy!!

Trellis House review

4.8 on July 09, 2014

Clean and great shape. small shower (well, the place was built in 1907, so limited space to work with!). Hosts are GREAT. Breakfast was EXCELLENT. Access to Marginal Way and ocean very close. I would book again!

Best anniversary!

5 on July 04, 2014

Our children surprised us with a two day stay at The Trellis House and it will be hard for them to top that gift next year. We enjoyed the beautiful home and our room was perfect...Loved everything about it from the conversation, food, gardens and the décor right down to the crisp linens. We loved that the location made it so easy to enjoy the beaches early in the mornings and late into the evenings. We will be back!

Innkeeper Response
We're glad you had a good time and hopefully we can do it again next year. Thanks for the glowing review.

special place

Jerry and Pat are wonderful! Great breakfasts! I'll go back every year

Do not hesitate.

4.4 on May 22, 2014

My wife and I, we enjoy staying in a B&B when travelling and we have some basic standard, like very clean room and site. But we are looking for more; Well decorated room and site because it helps for romance! Great location, so that you can do a maximun by just walking with your love one. Excellent breakfast, because you can't survive with just love. They have all of the above! And in a Bed and Breakfast, we expect to interact with the owners, because it is part of the experience. You can't find a better example of pleasant owners, because you would be so bless to have them as your friend. Ask the owner, the Marginal Way access is just the street beside the B&B. Do not hesitate.

Innkeeper Response
Thank you so much for your kind words. It's nice to know that you enjoyed your stay and we look forward to seeing you again.

Super B&B

4.4 on May 22, 2014

Always an enjoyable and pleasent stop

5 on February 09, 2014

You can expect great smiles and a lot of warmth from this couple who enjoy receiving their guests. The rooms are comfortable, the food great and not to mention you are just in walking distance to the center of the village and ocean....more important the fun in discussing whatever with Pat & Gerry during breakfast.

Mary and Gary enjoyed our stay as always!

5 on October 27, 2013

Excellent all around! Our favorite place

A Beautiful Place by the Ocean

3.4 on October 21, 2013

The Trellis House was lit up as we pulled in our first night. We were greeted and welcomed by Jerry. Loved the front screened porch and could visualize relaxing there on a summer morning or late summer afternoon with the breeze blowing. We stayed in adjunct building and appreciated the little fireplace. My one suggestion is to add an ottoman to put your feet up as you sit by it. Everything is very clean, the breakfasts were quite tasty and the proximity to the ocean, Marginal Way walk and town is perfect. Look forwarded to going back some day.

Trellis House is the BEST!

5 on September 28, 2013

Love The Trellis House....we have stayed there many times and it is like a second home to us....great breakfast and friendly/hospitable hosts

Why We and I Keep Coming Back

5 on September 26, 2013

My sisters and I keep coming back during summer+ months....because we LOVE Trellis House and most affectionately Pat and Jerry. It feels like a second home. Trellis' rooms are cheerful, homey, sooo clean!, beautiful, and always in the best condition. Also, the beds are sooo comfortable. Pat and Jerry serve a great breakfast before the guests start their day. Also, prices are reasonable and more than competitive in terms of value. It's also convenient for shopping, walking the Marginal Way, walking to great restaurants, hanging out, and taking lobster cruises in Perkins Cove and hanging out there, too. Pat and Jerry's guests are also lovely lovely people...met many over my 3 years of staying at Trellis House...and my sister has been going for over 17 years---ya think she likes it?! Well, we'll be returning again in 2014 for our Sister's Vaca---can't wait! Cathy B

Pat & Jerry can never retire

4.8 on September 11, 2013

My sister discovered this gem of a B&B 20 years ago, and she's kept coming back annually. When my two sis' and I decided to begin our annual "sister's" trip 3 years ago, we began it at the Trellis House. On our last night there we looked at each other and said well, "where do we go next year"?...the rest is history...We've been back every year since. We just returned from spending 5 wonderful nights at the Trellis House.

Keep returning

We keep returning every year for 14 straight years. There is a reason. Great place. Pat and Jerry are great people. Mary and Vinny

Great location within walking distance of everything, we parked when we got there and didn't use the car again until we left. Nice find in Ogunquit

We've been coming to the Ogunquit, Wells area for many years. This is truly one of the nicer places in this area. It has a great location. Walking distance to everywhere. The grounds are impeccable. Not commercial. Could actually lay back in a chair and read a book in the beautiful grounds. The breakfasts were delicious especially the waffles with wild bluberries. There is a lot of attention to detail. We stayed in the Barbarry Cottage and it was really special. Louise and Jim

First time

4.0 on July 11, 2013

After much research reading reviews of many potential places to stay, I took a chance on The Trellis House and it was the correct choice indeed. Warm and comfortable were the first impressions when we walked through the doors. Our room was very clean and nicely decorated. The breakfasts were yummy as we sat and watched the hummingbirds feed right off the pourch. Close to everything you want but far enough away for it to be quiet. We enjoyed our stay tremendously. We most certainly will stay there again.

Quick stop in Ogunquit

3.6 on July 06, 2013

We stayed in a room behind the the main house, so more like a motel feel. The hosts were friendly and helpful. The house a little far from town, but right beside an entrance to the scenic walking trail. We left early w/o breakfast (our schedule) so really can't rate

Wonderful Bed and Breakfast

I recently spent four nights at the Trellis House which I enjoyed very much. The innkeepers are a delightful couple, and I feel I have two new friends in Ogunquit. My new home away from home!

Hurricane Irene Weekend.

5 on July 05, 2012

My sister gave me an anniversary gift certificate towards a weekend stay at the Trellis House. We decided to make it a family weekend. Despite the fact that Irene was hitting the Maine Coast, our stay was so relaxing. We had the main house to ourselves. Came and went as we pleased. The rooms were spotless and charming. The meals that Pat and Jerry prepared were delicious. So close to the beach and a short walk or drive to town. Can't wait to go again!
