Amidst towering pines, The Inn at Bay Ledge literally clings to the cliffs of Mt. Desert Island, which is locally referred to as "The Eden of New England". The decks which overlook the spectacular coastline are extremely inviting and guests may enjoy a swim in our pool, relax in a hammock, or take a walk on our private beach. The elegant bedrooms compliment the style of the inn which was built in the early 1900's, and possess an upscale country ambiance. Beautifully decorated with antiques, all rooms are unique with views of Frenchman's Bay and nearby mountains. King and Queen canopy and antique four poster beds are covered with designer linens, down quilts and feather beds. The cottages off extra privacy and more country style. Each morning a lavish full breakfast is served either on the deck overlooking Frenchman's Bay or before a roaring fire. Unique in character, size, location, and privacy, The Inn at Bay Ledge offers its guests the finest blend of luxury and Maine rustic living.

This Bed & Breakfast is lovely and perfect down to the smallest details. Our room was small but very comfy and exactly what we wanted. The bed was soft and amazing - feather pillows, super comfortable. The toiletries were even good all natural brands. Jeani and Jack were incredible hosts. The breakfast was never just eggs and toast. It was always something meticulously prepared with quality ingredients that was utterly delicious. They were sweet hosts and Jack had some great stories. Our mornings there before adventuring in Acadia were treasured to be sure. The property was gorgeous and even if the weather isn't great, the walk down to the beach below is well worth it. We would go back in a heartbeat. Thanks so much to our hosts!

Our first visit to this B&B was in 2015. We loved the location so much we returned in 2016 to elope and most recently returned in 2017 for an anniversary get away. Jack and Jeani are very welcoming hosts. The food and service are excellent and the location is wonderful for observing spectacular sunrises. We've stayed at several B+B's and this one is definitely a favorite.

The hosts were very helpful and congenial. The view from our room and the dining porch was spectacular. We enjoyed walking along the shore, but the steps down to the water are not for the faint-hearted. Sturdy but steep. The breakfasts were delicious, as were the afternoon baked goods set out with tea. We loved our stay and hope to be able to return.

This B&B was in a perfect location close enough to town for a short drive but out of the hustle and bustle. Jack and Jeani were great hosts and create a special atmosphere of relaxation. I loved tea and homemade cookies in the afternoon! A beautiful Inn overlooking the bay with steps so you can get down to the ocean as well.

Both having left the corporate world for the tranquil life of Maine; this is our second Inn on the island of Mt. Desert. Our first was in downtown Bar Harbor, but there was one thing missing...the Ocean. Thus our Inn sits atop an eighty foot cliff with a private beach. A great place for our sailboat. We also enjoy golf, hiking, biking, and skiing. What better place to enjoy it than Acadia National Park...our own back yard!
