The main house, with five guest rooms, some with fireplaces, offers a romantic setting for couples to recharge and reconnect. Great Weekend at the Inn at Richmond

4.8 on July 27, 2018

Peaceful, richly appointed in a an understated horse country manner, the Inn at Richmond was a total delight. Great bed and room in general, plus beautiful common areas. Johnny was a delightful host and his tasty and overwhelming large breakfasts would satisfy any palate. A hidden gem.

A lovely inn at a great price for a special weekend

4.0 on July 07, 2017

My friends and I have stayed there for every James Taylor concert for many years. Their prices are reasonable, 2 day minimum compared to other inns in the area and the guy who runs the place is very friendly. We'll be going back there for a long time.

Friendly Service & Relaxing Time

3.6 on October 31, 2016

We stayed for 2 nights in October 2016 and Johnny saved the day by allowing us to take our daughter with us when our childcare fell through. Though not the typical policy, we lucked out having the Inn to ourselves and thankful to Johnny for the upgrade to a suite. Great escape and warm friendly service that can't be beat. Johnny is knowledgeable of the area and we followed his recommendations for family friendly fun at nearby farms and parks. Until next time...

Johnny is very hospitable and goes above and beyond in making you feel like you are at home. He has suggestions about everything one might want to do in the area. The only issue we had was ahead of our stay, with confirming our reservation. I had to call several times on different days before reaching him.

A True "Johnny on the Spot"

3.8 on August 05, 2015

The biggest asset to the Inn at Richmond is the manager (if that's his title), Johnny. He does a great job at breakfast, is extremely knowledgeable about the area at its attractions; in short, couldn't be more helpful and accommodating. The Inn has a perfect location within easy driving distance of the major attractions, including Tanglewood, summer home of the Boston Symphony Orchestra.

Great Hidden Gem!

Loved this place was so pleasantly surprised. In the beautiful Berkshires the grounds are pretty, house is historic but still very clean and freshly painted. Room was spacious and each room has its own bathroom. Johnny is so hospitable and wants to make sure your every need is taken care of. And he cooks a great breakfast every morning. Even made a special purchase of apple juice for my kids. I highly recommend this place for a quiet, scenic getaway!

This is a lovely spot, gorgeous grounds, perfect location, clean, and Johnny is friendly, welcoming and a great conversationalist!

little bit overprice

3.2 on November 02, 2014

The Inn was very clean, calm, and restfulness. Owner of the inn, Johnny, is very friendly person. We really enjoyed beautiful fall leaves around the Inn and watching horses in the farm next to the main house. However, the breakfast was little bit downgrade---just frach toast and sausages... Given that the price per one night including breakfast was over $230, I don't think the quality of the breakfast was met my expectation...except that, overall our stay was fine. FYI, free wifi is not working!

Amazing Wedding Weekend

4.4 on October 09, 2014

Words cannot express how grateful we all were for such an amazing wedding weekend. The grounds, the staff, the vendors were simply wonderful. The list could go on and on. Despite the rain on Saturday, everyone rose above it all and spirts were high. Our guests LOVED everything and cannot stop speaking of it. Thank you, thank you, thank you. The Constantine's

wonderful, peaceful inn

We were greeted and shown around the inn when we arrived by the innkeeper, Johnny. He was friendly and welcoming. Our room wss nicely decorated and very comfortable and quiet. The grounds were also beautiful, the inn is situated on the property of an equine center, and guests are welcome to roam the horse barns. The food was very good and the staff was very accomodating.

Signature Dish

Inn at Richmond Baked French Toast
This recipe is a guest favorite ... finally sharing the recipe with our friends! But, it's still better served in our dining room! :-) 1 loaf of either Challa or Vienna Bread, unsliced 6 apples and/or pears, peeled, cored and sliced Fresh Cranberries, blueberries, raisins or dried cranberries 12 eggs 1-1/2 cups of half and half 1-1/2 cups of 2% milk Cinnamon Nutmeg Vanilla Slice bread in nice size chunks and place in large mixing bowl. Add fruit. In separate bowl wisk eggs and then add remaining ingredients, wisk together and pour over bread and fruit mixture. Fold together so that bread, etc. is combined with custard. Pour all into buttered glass oven safe dish. Place in 350 degree oven for approximately 45 minutes, check to be sure that toothpick inserted in center comes out clean before removing. Can take up to 60 minutes to be fully cooked. Remove from oven, place foil over top and allow to rest for about 5 minutes before cutting. Enjoy!
