Still outstanding

5 on August 30, 2018

This was our first stay under new owners Tom and Debbie. Everything was just as outstanding as it had been under Ellen. Breakfasts were creative and delicious. The hospitality was warm and friendly. Birchwood’s location is ideal for walking to town or hiking through Kennedy Park right down the street. We certainly will plan to return.

A Gem in the Berkshires

5 on August 04, 2018

My wife and I spent 4 nights at this wonderful and exceptionally well managed Inn. Our hosts, Tom and Debbie, and their staff made us feel welcomed and made sure everything went smoothly. The breakfasts and tea in the afternoon were delicious and creative. The Inn has an interesting history and is designed with comfort and privacy in mind. We highly recommend it and look forward to our next visit.

Great Visit to the Birchwood Inn

From the welcome to the good bye three nights later, the inn keepers and staff of the Birchwood Inn were friendly and accommodating. The historic inn is beautifully decorated with antiques and comfortable spaces for guests to relax. The breakfasts were delicious and varied to accommodate guests. A great place as a base for exploring the Berkshires!

Great, relaxing getaway.

What an awesome experience. Tom and Debbie are really great inn keepers. Their service, hospitality, and knowledge of the area is A+. The Birchwood Inn is super clean and cozy. The breakfast was very tasty and made with fresh ingredients, the olive oil muffins were some of the best muffins I've had. Would definitely stay here again in the future.

Hurray for the Birchwood Inn!

5 on April 16, 2018

This was our first trip to the Berkshires and the Birchwood Inn and we were completely delighted. Our stay at the Birchwood was as pleasant and comfortable as can be, beginning with meeting the very hospitable Tom and Debbie, the innkeepers. We were originally expecting to stay in a sweet room in the carriage house, but because of a problem with the cable, we were graciously upgraded to a sensational room in the main house. Debbie's breakfasts were among the best we have ever had, as were the "sweet treats" she left out for afternoon tea and late night snacking. The inn is an easy walk to town for restaurants and a little shopping, and is also centrally located to all things Berkshires. We would highly recommend the Birchwood Inn. Thank you Tom and Debbie for a memorable stay!

A perfect place

We could not have asked for a better experience. Our hosts were charming, informative and great cooks. The inn itself was cozy and inviting and felt little Ken Home, were home to have a roaring fire and delicious snacks. We will be back!

About the innkeepers

Tom and Debbie love their Inn. Buying the Birchwood Inn (June 2016) and leaving behind the life they knew in St. Louis, Missouri, was a complete leap-of-faith, that has met all of their expectations. They are truly enjoying their guests and the Berkshires. When time allows they both love to travel, try new restaurants and get together with family and friends.
