Labor Day Weekend Heaven in the Berkshires.

5 on September 08, 2017

This was our second stay at the Birchwood Inn and we know we'll be back many times. Everything about this place is a 5 with the exception of Debby and Tom who deserve at least a ten.

Innkeeper Response
Thank you for your fabulous review. When you call to reschedule, let us know if you have a favorite dish and we will try to work it into the menu for you. Hurry back!

Cultural Respite

4.6 on August 21, 2017

The Birchwood Inn is a treasure: spacious covered front porch, gourmet breakfasts and afternoon teas, conveniently located near Tanglewood and the Shakespeare Theater, and easy drives to Williamstown (for the Williamstown Theater Festival and the Clark Museum) and to Becket (for Jacob's Pillow). The relatively new owners, Tom and Debbie, are gracious and welcoming, and have done a great job of maintaining and updating this historic property.

Innkeeper Response
All the wonderful sights and museums you mentioned are exactly what drew us to this area. The cultural treasures, the proximity to everything and the natural beauty combined with an historic inn made this an easy choice for us to become innkeepers. Thanks.

About the innkeepers

Tom and Debbie love their Inn. Buying the Birchwood Inn (June 2016) and leaving behind the life they knew in St. Louis, Missouri, was a complete leap-of-faith, that has met all of their expectations. They are truly enjoying their guests and the Berkshires. When time allows they both love to travel, try new restaurants and get together with family and friends.
