The Gilded Lily is situated at 4 Claremont Park, a quiet residential side street in Boston's Historic South End. The neighborhood is celebrated for its rich Victorian row house architecture and extends over 500 acres. It is populated with many chic restaurants and boutique shops and is immediately adjacent to Boston's Back Bay, Fenway, Bay Village and Beacon Hill neighborhoods. We are within walking distance to Newbury Street and the Copley Place Mall and an extraordinary array of cultural, civic, academic and medical facilities; Historic Fenway Park, Boston Symphony Hall, The Museum of Fine Arts, The Huntington Theatre, Boston University Medical Center, and MIT.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Gilded Lily. The location was perfect as it was a short walk to the T station and the room was lovely! The only thing that could be improved upon was the breakfast. What was provided was good but the variety could have been better. Otherwise, its a great hotel!

I recently spent two nights here and was completely impressed with the loveliness of the buidling's architecture and outstanding quality of the room, private bathroom and kitchen facility available to me. The room was very comfortably and tastefully furnished with a cosy seating area, table and chairs and luxurious bed! The bathroom was modern with all amenities including shower gel, shampoo, thick towels and excellent lighting. A kitchen fully stocked with a variety of breakfast items (juice, bagels, croissants, yogurt and cereal) along with a range, coffee maker and microwave was outside my door. The location is excellent as only two blocks from the Massachusetts Ave. T stop. There were a variety of restaurants in the neighborhood and I felt completely safe as a single female walking around the neighborhood.

Recently stayed at this awesome B&B. Unbelievably clean & well maintained . Almost didn't want to write a review to try & keep this a hidden secret but it wouldn't be fair. James was kind & took the time to share his knowledge about Boston with us. Will most certainly plan on returning !

This was our third stay at The Gilded Lily. Perfect location with plenty of dining options within walking distance. When we told James (the owner/manager) our plans for one day, he suggested an alternative that we were so thankful for! Having a kitchen with juice/coffee available all day is a must.

The Gilded Lily was such a fun treat and a rare find in this big city. We loved that it was close to the train and in a quiet section of town. This place was full of charm. James was a great host and he made sure we had everything we needed. The room was spacious and very comfortable. We liked being able to leave our bags early so we could start exploring the city without the hassle of hauling around our luggage. There were a lot of stairs as we were on the top floor but that didn't affect our stay. If we ever make it back to Boston, I would definitely want to stay here again. Thanks for helping us make our Boston experience a huge success.

The Gilded Lily is a beautiful and comfortable place to stay while visiting Boston. The neighborhood is very nice and very convenient to get to the downtown area. It was a short walk to the Back End and Copley Square neighborhoods. There is a Orange Line train stop just two blocks away. We stayed in the Garden Room and it was decorated very nicely and very clean. There was a kitchen area connected to our room where we could help ourselves to continental breakfast items if we wanted them anytime of the day. James, the owner, gave us an excellent overview of the area and the use of a map to get around the city. He also provided a great commentary of the city since it was our first visit to Boston. We would definitely come back and stay at The Gilded Lily on our next trip to Boston.
Thank you so much for you thoughtful review. We are delighted you enjoyed your visit to Boston. We hope to see you again! James

We have stayed at the Gilded Lily twice now as our daughter goes to Northeastern. Love the local, non-chain dining options nearby. If you walk down to the end of the street there is a lovely connector trail that is allows for a beautiful walk through the city. James is a wonderful host, friendly and helpful. We personally love having a stocked kitchen vs a sit down breakfast, as it allows for more flexibility.
Thank you for coming and staying with us again! It was a pleasure hosting you and are grateful for your review. James

While my boyfriend and I were only able to stay for one night, our time at The Gilded Lily was nevertheless wonderful. We stayed in Parlor room 2, and upon our arrival it was cozy, clean, cool, and beautiful. We couldn't have been happier. James was incredibly helpful, and shared his expertise of Boston with me, making my maneuvering around the city significantly easier. We hope to be planning another trip to Boston in the near future and will definitely be staying at The Gilded Lily again!
Thank you for the opportunity of hosting you and for your reviw. We hope you come back for a longer visit. James
