About

The Green Turtle is a floating bed and breakfast as luxurious as it is unique set in historic Boston Harbor. It offers an expansive view of the Boston skyline and comfort and amenities of a modern bed and breakfast. It is easy to get around by foot, ferry or bus. Our houseboat and yachts were designed for comfort above all and the only reminder you are floating in Boston Harbor is the sound of the gulls, slight motion of the sea and the reflection of the ocean dancing on the ceiling. It is delightful starting your day sipping coffee or enjoying a cold beverage after a day of sightseeing sitting on your aft deck or dock watching the harbor traffic and city skyline. The Green Turtle offers 3 boat choices. The Green Turtle I is a houseboat that has two private suites(Loggerhead and Sea Turtle). Each has a kitchenette and en-suite bathroom/shower and dock chairs. Each sleeps 2 or rent both for 4 people. Green Turtle II is a 45ft. motor yacht and sleeps 2-6. She has 2 private queen staterooms , a full sleeper sofa , a galley, dinette a great aft deck with comfortable furniture. Green Turtle III is a 43ft. motor yacht which sleeps 4 in 2 queen staterooms, a salon, galley, dinette and aft deck with comfortable furniture. Your suite/yacht is stocked with gourmet coffee, tea, juice, water, granola, yogurt and snacks. We deliver fresh breakfast each morning to your door. All boats are docked in protected marina slips permanently moored during your stay.

Wonderful

My husband and I recently stayed at the Green Turtle Floating Bed and Breakfast. We loved EVERYTHING about it. The location! Room! Serenity! Breakfast! Bed! And the view! Our son's ship was coming in to port, and we were fortunate to see the ship, as we looked out the window! We would certainly love to stay here again.

Very special place!

A very special experience! Jon and Karen are wonderful hosts...provided great info on nearby places to eat, and the boat was immaculately clean. Good, hearty breakfast, too! A different kind of place to stay for those special occasions! Thank you, Jon and Karen!

A wonderful alternative to a hotel!

3.6 on October 12, 2017

I was in town for a conference and all of the decent Boston hotels were either sold out or very expensive. After a lot of searching, I found The Green Turtle. I'd never stayed on a yacht let alone been on one but I'm open to new adventures and the reviews were great! I was not disappointed. Fantastic location, unique accommodations and, most importantly, the hosts, Karen and Jon, were attentive, cheerful and lovely. I highly recommend the Green Turtle and intend to return!

Fun place to stay

Great fun staying on a houseboat. We were able to walk almost everywhere from the boat: the north end, USS Constitution Museum, lots of restaurants. Loved being rocked to sleep at night. Our hosts were fabulous, gave us tons of information about things to see and do as well as restaurant recommendations. We were there when Jose threatened the coast and our hosts had a plan to move us if the hurricane came too close but that turned out to be unnecessary. Breakfasts were plentiful, tasty, and filling.

Been rocked to sleep!

What a wonderful way to fall asleep! The gentle rocking of the Turtle, a cozy suite that was well stocked with refreshments and comfort. Karen indulged us with very tasty breakfasts each day and a great way to start our daily explore of Boston. They made us feel like family and wanting to come back.

Great place to stay. Loved being on the water. Very convenient to downtown Boston. John and Karen are the perfect hosts. Couldn't have been more helpful in guiding us to great restaurants. Karen is a great cook and breakfast each morning was delicious. Definitely would recommend and hope to be back some day.

excellent location and unique stay

my husband and I stayed at the Green Turtle Inn for just one night but I really wish we had booked more so we could have really enjoyed the place. The location is SO unique and the views are amazing from every window! The owners were more than outstanding and our breakfast was yummy! I would recommend this for couples, not for families. Since it is on the water, there was SLIGHT movement but it was a relaxing motion for sure to us.
