Great room, great location

4.6 on March 14, 2018

We had a wonderful night at 14 Union Park. We stayed in a king room. The room was clean and roomy, the bathroom was fantastic with a huge shower, and there was a nice walk-in closet. We walked to the Wang Theater and to dinner and back. The location is great. Our only issue is that leaving in the morning, my partner slipped and nearly fell down the entire, steep flight of stone steps which were covered in ice. But I would absolutely recommend this B&B to anyone looking to visit Boston.

Wonderful stay, beautiful room.

Loved the room, my husband and I love the little street with all the Brownstone buildings. It just kept with the beauty of the city.

Great area!!!

The room was lovely! Tv was in a weird spot on the side wall but just caught the news for a few minutes one night so it wasn't a big deal!! Great air conditioning!!! We stayed on the third floor all stairs so ok for us but could be tough if you can't do 3 flights of stairs. Great area!!! Trendy spot, great restaurants etc!! For the price you pay it would be nice to have some sort of breakfast besides a granola bar. That was disappointing after some of the amazing service we've received over the years of b&b's.....Also could include the car parking. We realize parking spot scarse but it's about the service. Bobby the property manager was very pleasant and accessible. Thx Bobby!!

Neighborly Option in the South End

The key was waiting when I arrived, although there was no one around. I walked three flights of stairs up to my room (not handicap friendly) and was pleasantly surprised by the warmth and light of the room. The bathroom was lovely with a clawfoot tub and separate walk-in shower. The bed could have been more comfortable and was likely an old mattress. The pillows also left a lot to be desired. This is a good option if you are coming during a season when all the hotels are more expensive or sold out.

One of the best places we've ever stayed at!

This wonderful guest house is on a quiet, lovely park in the middle of the Back Bay area of Boston. Many terrific restaurants are within walking distance. The room we had (#2) was huge, clean and beautifully appointed. The bathroom and walk-in closet were so much more generous than any hotel we've stayed at. We never saw any staff, but instructions on how to get in on our first day were emailed and very clear. There are lots of stairs so if that's a problem for you, this isn't your place. On the other hand, all those stairs help you work off some of those great meals!

A real gem

Great B&B in a Fantastic Location

I've stayed here a dozen times and enjoy my stay each time. The owners/innkeeper are wonderful and very accommodating. Rooms are very clean and well-maintained. The location is perfect - walking distance to so many amazing restaurants and cafes. I highly recommend the Union Park Guest House.

Beautifully Restored Townhouse

Beautiful restored townhouse on Union Park. Rooms combine charm and modern amenities. We wanted to be in the South End, so the location was perfect. The innkeeper was very pleasant when we arrived, and available by phone when we needed. The price is high, but this is a city with incredibly expensive hotel rooms.I do think at this price a B&B should include at least a continental breakfast. They did have coffee and breakfast bars available.

We had such an amazing time in Boston and The Union Park Guest House was just a perfect place to call our home for 3 nights we were there. It was so relaxing to come home and enjoy hot bath in that beautiful clawfoot tub. We enjoyed coffee bar every morning! We would be coming back definitely!!!!!

Picturesque and High End Accommodations

We stayed in the King Deluxe room for our anniversary in Oct. We were able to wait in the parlor being that we got there early until our room was ready, which they allowed us to check in early. They were kind and provided a bottle of wine and glasses to celebrate our special day! The room was GORGEOUS, walk-in closet, espresso /coffee machine, the bed and the bedding was pure luxury! The BEST and most comfortable bed I have EVER slept in. We have a tempurpedic at home and this beat that! The shower was awesome so was the shampoo and conditioner. Generally I do use hotel/bed and breakfast soap, shampoos etc because they just aren’t that great, that wasn’t the case here, I wanted to ask what kind of Shampoo and Conditioner it was! Our room look out onto the picturesque street lined with brownstones, it looked like a movie set. The only down fall is they are a guest house and do not serve breakfast and there are A LOT of stairs to climb. That goes with the territory though of staying in a brownstone.
