Just What We Needed

5 on February 05, 2018

My friend was planning on going on a trip to Louisiana, and asked me to tag along the day before he was leaving. He hadn't planned a place to stay, so I thought I would surprise him. I was looking up B&B's online, found 2439, and immediately knew this is where we were meant to stay. We didn't plan on the trip being a pleasant one, so I knew we would need to be in an environment that would make us feel comfortable and at home. We found it to be just what we needed. Brian was incredibly welcoming and informative. We were overwhelmed by the decor and how well the house had aged. Jimmy and Brian have taken really good care of it. The history behind it is amazing. I genuinely loved everything about my stay, I would recommend this B&B to anyone. I just want to thank Brian and Jimmy for making our trip much more meaningful and peaceful.

Warm and cozy

5 on January 10, 2018

We visited during a very cold part of Dec.2017. Our rooms were very cozy and our hosts were very welcoming and friendly and full Of pleasant conversation over a most delicious breakfast. The home and our rooms were beautifully restored and decorated. We regretted only staying one night. This will be our place to stay in Shreveport from now on.

Innkeeper Response
Thank you for the very kind review. We enjoyed having you stay with us. Maybe next time you can stay more than one night. Shreveport has a lot to offer and we would love to see you again. Thank you

While we only had reservations for one night due to holiday travel to visit with family, we wished we could have stayed longer. Everything was absolutely perfect and we cannot wait to stay here again in the near future! John and Paula Bascom

Had a GREAT time!

5 on March 23, 2016

It was our first ever Bed and Breakfast. We just stayed one night. Our host recommended the R.W. Norton Art Gallery in the area...It was awesome we spent about three hours looking around and it was free. Breakfast the next morning was great and we had a great conversation with a couple from Oklahoma. Would love to come back if the opportunity presents itself.

About the innkeepers

I have always loved BnB's, so when I bought this home and started on the restoration, we decided it would make a great BnB. So 28 years later, here I am. Still running the BnB and enjoying every minute of it. We get to meet so many great people from around the country and the world. Many we have remained great friends with over the years. I love being able to offer our guests something better in accommodations other than the generic, run of the mill hotel chains.
