A peaceful and private hideaway, just blocks from New Orleans' famous French Quarter! Each room in this beautifully restored 1850s Creole home is hand painted by a local artist, and several have private entrances into our tropical courtyard. Located in the historic Faubourg Marigny, we are just steps to Frenchmen Street with its jazz music clubs, bars, art galleries, and fine dining. Free and easy street parking. We are a 9-block stroll (or 2-minute cab ride) to the French Quarter. Enjoy our complimentary breakfast - featuring freshly-baked goodies as well as healthy organic options - in the parlor or courtyard, before heading out on your adventures!

We had fun on honeymoon here. Very relaxing place near the French Quarter(about a 10-15 minute walk). I would highly recommend it.

Wonderful accommodations, very unique rooms with hand painted murals. A very charming home. Jessica the Innkeeper was awesome and very helpful, plus she is an awesome cook preparing our daily breakfasts. Would definitely stay here again. Very close to French quarter, easy access to interstate 10.

Our family of 6 occupied 4 rooms at Sweet Olive and were guests of Nancy & Jessica. Their B&B is an awesome historic place to stay. Close to the French Quarter as well as an amazing food hall called Roch Market. Nance and Jexxica were wonderful hosts and attended to our every need and provided great suggestions for things to do while we were in New Orleans. The breakfasts are fresh made and delicious and the accommodations are clean and spacious. The most amazing part of our travel from Houston to New Orleans is that we had to stay with Nance and Jessica for an additional 4 days past our intended departure date due to Hurricane Harvey's impacts to the Houston area. They were so kind, accommodating, and sympathetic to our situation throughout our stay. You won't find a better property and you definitely won't find a more accommodating staff anywhere in the city. Nancy & Jessica will always have a special place in our hearts and we won't stay anywhere else for our next visit to New Orleans.

Great neighbourhood- safe and quiet and full of character. A 15 min walk to the French quarter. Close to Frenchmans Street for great music. This B&B was a pleasure to come back to every day.

This is a wonderful little B&B. The neighborhood is amazing. There is a food co-op across the street and a food court like place a block away that has awesome food. The neighborhood itself is very quiet, although walking distance to the French Quarter. Plenty of free parking nearby. There is a nice little garden to sit in as well as quiet places to sit indoors. And it is good value for the money. We will definitely be back.

We were so glad to get rooms here for our last visit. Everything was perfect, from the room (Palm) to the hospitality of Nancy and the new inn keeper, to the breakfast. Nancy found our family member another B&B room for a night due to our late reservation, and that was much appreciated as no rooms were available in Faubourg/Marigny without her help. Such a convenient location, far enough from the commotion of the quarter, but near enough to walk or take a bus or cab. The new St. Roch food building on St. Claude is just a block away and offers a dozen or more food vendors, serving everything from hamburgers (why?) to gumbo..

We stayed at the Auld Sweet Olive B&B for three nights at the end of May & thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house is beautiful & packed with original features as well as some interesting artefacts. The service was excellent, we were met on arrival & given lots of friendly advice and recommendations. The choice at Breakfast was limited but to a very high standard & freshly prepared (we were not disappointed). You can walk to/from the French Quarter very easily which we did a few times during the day but not sure we would at night as the streets were quite quiet. That said, Uber was very quick & inexpensive. We would definitely recommend it & stay again

Without doubt the best B&B we've stayed in. Anywhere. Well located away from the hustle and bustle, but a pleasant walk into town through a charming area. Jessica, our hostess, was superb: pleasant, helpful and knowledgable, without being obtrusive. Breakfast was different every day and had everything you could wish for. Wouldn't consider staying anywhere else in New Orleans.
