Royal Street Courtyard

2438 Royal Street , New Orleans, LA 70117 USA (Show map)

You're greeted with stately columns and regal galleries. Inside, the charm of antebellum New Orleans surrounds you. This grand Greek Revival house of the 1850's exudes both the elegance and decadence of old Creole Louisiana. With soaring 14-foot ceilings and intricate, hand-crafted cypress trim, your room is a respite from the bustle of the street. Some feature 4-poster king beds, others queen and full sized beds. All have private baths. An intimate courtyard invites you to relax in our soothing spa surrounded by tropical greenery and yet you're close to the action. Just six blocks from the French Quarter, a 15 minute stroll to the non-stop energy of Bourbon Street. Fine restaurants, famous jazz clubs and sidewalk cafes are literally a short walk from our front door. Royal Street Courtyard, where you're at home in New Orleans.

Great hosts, great location!

My sister and I just returned from our 2nd stay at the Royal St. Courtyard, we had a wonderful time, the Hosts Philip and Davis are the best. The B & B is historical, comfortable, with great beds, the front porch is a great place to people watch. The location is 5 minutes walk from Frenchman St., a great area for music & restaurants. The location is an easy walk from the French quarter and Bourbon St. I would recommend without hesitation.

An absolutely fabulous experience!

From the moment we arrived, our gracious and lovely hosts made us feel welcomed and provided us with recommendations to get the best experience of New Orleans during our stay. Phillip and David are simply wonderful hosts and what a beautiful accommodation. Our room was exquisite, with a balcony overlooking a lovely residential street. Our room was kept very clean and it was very relaxing when we took a break from the hustle and bustle of New Orleans during Mardis Gras. The location was perfect - you can walk into the French Quarter very easily and safely but return to a quiet oasis. Phillip and David were full of ideas about where we should go and where we should eat, and all affordable. We will tell all our friends about this place!

Loved our stay

Phillip and David are the best, just lovely people, and so helpful. Very spacious room, quiet, great location and just a very comfortable and homey experience. We would definitely stay here again.

I can recommend this BB highly. The hosts are very friendly and knowledgeable and will do anything to make your stay enjoyable. The location is super, very close, in walkable distance to the French quarter, and the place and rooms are cleans and inviting. The price is very reasonable. The little garden behind the house has tropical plants and is very much cared for.

Every visit gets better!

Perfect location in a quiet neighborhood. Beautiful older historic home with lots of history. The inn keepers live nearby and are among the best for ideas of where to eat, help with getting to and from the hustle a bustle of bourbon street. It's a good but safe walk if the weather is pleasant. I wouldn't stay anywhere else in New Orleans if you want the best experience of this great city!

Perfectly Situated for French Quarter

Philip and David were very welcoming hosts, making sure we knew about all the local restaurants and area. They were engaging and interested in learning more about their guests. The B&B is only a 15 minute walk to the French Quarter, and less to Frenchman Street. We felt comfortable walking everywhere, and were able to easily take Uber at night. We had a very pleasant stay, the house was quiet, historical and we felt safe. Would recommend to anyone looking for a more "local" place to stay visiting Nola.

stay here!

Great way to experience New Orleans

A five-minute stroll from Frenchman Street in a lovely historic neighborhood, beautiful 14 ft high ceilings, very comfortable and Phillip is a great host. No restaurant (but no need for one, with so many great restaurants and cafes nearby), but they do have a small breakfast room that has everything you need. Quieter than the French quarter, every bit as nice (or nicer) than the Garden district, this is a great find.

Great host & location

Extremely helpful host that went out of his way to recommend restaurants. Loved our room with it's own balcony. Great Marginy location - walked everywhere!
