About

You're greeted with stately columns and regal galleries. Inside, the charm of antebellum New Orleans surrounds you. This grand Greek Revival house of the 1850's exudes both the elegance and decadence of old Creole Louisiana. With soaring 14-foot ceilings and intricate, hand-crafted cypress trim, your room is a respite from the bustle of the street. Some feature 4-poster king beds, others queen and full sized beds. All have private baths. An intimate courtyard invites you to relax in our soothing spa surrounded by tropical greenery and yet you're close to the action. Just six blocks from the French Quarter, a 15 minute stroll to the non-stop energy of Bourbon Street. Fine restaurants, famous jazz clubs and sidewalk cafes are literally a short walk from our front door. Royal Street Courtyard, where you're at home in New Orleans.

Great way to experience New Orleans

A five-minute stroll from Frenchman Street in a lovely historic neighborhood, beautiful 14 ft high ceilings, very comfortable and Phillip is a great host. No restaurant (but no need for one, with so many great restaurants and cafes nearby), but they do have a small breakfast room that has everything you need. Quieter than the French quarter, every bit as nice (or nicer) than the Garden district, this is a great find.

Great host & location

Extremely helpful host that went out of his way to recommend restaurants. Loved our room with it's own balcony. Great Marginy location - walked everywhere!

Would not stay anywhere else in New Orleans

4.8 on November 02, 2016

This is a beautiful and cozy house...our favorite part being the room opening to a balcony where, each morning, we enjoyed coffee and breakfast while overlooking the quaint Marigny neighborhood. Also, we enjoyed drinking coffee on the porch and saying hello to all the friendly neighbors (and their pets) as they went by. The neighborhood itself was filled with unique shops and restaurants that could have kept us busy for our entire vacation without even making the trip to the more well-known New Orleans neighborhoods. But, because it is just a 5 minute walk to Frenchmen Street and only a few more minutes into the French Quarter, we did visit these iconic locations daily. These are all great reasons to stay at Royal Street Courtyard... but they're not the reasons we will never stay anywhere else in New Orleans. The reason is Phillip and David. Their dining and entertainment recommendations helped us to make the most of our trip. But, even more important, they made us feel instantly at home... so much so that we often spoke of "going home" at the end of the night (not back to the B&B or the hotel), and when we left we were not only sad to leave New Orleans, we were sad to leave Royal Street Courtyard and Phillip & David. 10/10

Best B&B I've Ever Stayed In!!!

I absolutely loved the Royal Street Courtyard, as did my fiancee! Our hosts were very helpful in identifying places to eat and things to see, laying everything out on a map, and giving us some super helpful advice about how to get around since we didn't have a rental car. I can't recommend this B&B enough and definitely plan on coming back in the future!

Home away from home

Wonderful historic home with the BEST host ever. We felt as though we were visiting extended family (that we want to visit). Philip is definitely the Host with the Most. There is plenty of space for relaxing and taking in the ambiance of the neighborhood. Not far from the French Quarter.

Really Great B & B

This is my 2nd visit to Royal Street Courtyard. The location is really convenient to walking to the French Quarter. Philip, one of the owners is really great. The rooms and feel of the place is perfect for a nice New Orleans visit. Complimentary breakfast is included. Really quaint feel. Would highley recommend this place for a place to stay while in New Orleans.

The best place to stay in New Orleans--Philip and David are wonderful!

This is my go-to place when I visit New Orleans! Philip and David are perfect hosts, and have wonderful suggestions on sights and restaurants. It's in the Marigny, just a short walk to Frenchmen Street and the Quarter, and a great place to come "home" to at the end of the day. I cannot recommend Royal Street Courtyard enough!
