A remarkable transformation and renovation has taken place here, where you literally step back in history into an 1860's Grand Inn with every comfort of the 21st century at hand. Our location, in the historic Faubourg Marigny section of New Orleans enables our guests to enjoy the close proximity of the French Quarter (only 5 blocks) and the Frenchmen Street shops and restaurants

My wife and I have stayed at several places during our visits to New Orleans. Michelle & Bob, the hosts at Elysian Fields made this our best visit so far. The Inn is a beautiful house just down the street from the music clubs on Frenchmen Street and a block away from the new street car line on Rampart / St Claude. Every morning we had a delicious breakfast and got a chance to talk about New Orleans with our hosts and other guests. We were joined by two friends that have never stayed at a B&B, and this trip showed them why we prefer to stay with locals over a hotel chain. When Michelle found out this trip was to celebrate my friend's birthday, she brought out a bottle of champagne which we enjoyed on the huge front porch. The rooms are very clean and well decorated. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting New Orleans.

My wife and I have stayed at this place a few times and highly encourage you to choose this place. The rooms are beautiful, with hard wood floors, comfortable beds and tastefully decorated. When you walk in you can see the attention to detail that has been put into the house with regards to comfort, style and attention to detail all tailored to make you feel at home. The location is excellent for walking to the French Quarter or Frenchman St. which is a few blocks away. This is perfect to go experience the craziness of the Quarter and just far enough away to relax and get away from it when your done. As wonderful as this place is the best part of it is Michelle and Bob (the owners) by far. Their hospitality, cheerfulness and friendliness make you feel as if you'r old friends or relatives dropping by for a visit rather than just some client. So my question to you is this, why stay at another mundane hotel where you're simply the nameless faceless client in room 45 when you can be a welcomed guest of Elysian Fields where they will happily greet you at the door and make you feel like this is where you belong. Choose wisely my friends. Anthony Aleman

Spent 4 days with friends and couldn't be more satisfied. Bob and Michelle are the perfect hosts. They go out of their way to ensure you have a great time. Located within walking distance to the Quarter but in a quiet residential area. Outstanding breakfasts are icing on the cake.

The location, hospitality, room, and breakfast were perfect. Bob and Michelle were so accommodating and provided us with a map and a list of recommended restaurants, sites, bars, and music venues. The Inn was just a few blocks from Frenchman Street and a very close walk to the French Quarter. The Inn is gorgeous and the room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. This was our first trip to New Orleans and we definitely plan on staying at Elysian Fields Inn.

Bob and I met in high school and have lived in Louisville KY and Atlanta GA before moving to New Orleans to take ownership of Elysian Fields Inn. One of our two daughters started her nursing career here and soon after met her husband, a native of New Orleans. We decided to consider a move here and we stayed at Elysian Fields Inn on one of our many visits. We fell in love with the Inn and are honored to carry on it's 15 year tradition of wowing guests.
