A remarkable transformation and renovation has taken place here, where you literally step back in history into an 1860's Grand Inn with every comfort of the 21st century at hand. Our location, in the historic Faubourg Marigny section of New Orleans enables our guests to enjoy the close proximity of the French Quarter (only 5 blocks) and the Frenchmen Street shops and restaurants

Excellent location. You can walk and be at Jackson Square (center of French Quarter) within 20 minutes. Free parking. Hosts had many suggestions for eating, clubs, attractions--all within a short walk from your room. Excellent breakfast included. Room 201 had a couple quirks, but it's an old house so it didn't detract from the good character of the home. Steep stairway if you book an upstairs room, but it was manageable. We would stay here again.

This is a majestic old house with big bones. It is nicely furnished. The breakfast is copious and very good, and the innkeepers are very nice. There is some traffic noise on Elysian Fields.

My partner had never been to New Orleans, and I wanted him to have an authentic experience. This place was perfect. It was a remodeled old house, with original details, but with modern comforts like Aveda products in the bathroom. The couple who ran the B and B were lovely, friendly and helpful. Their passion for New Orleans was clear, as they enthusiastically recommended restaurants and activities, and gave us tips for how to experience New Orleans like locals. The location was perfect, walking distance to Frenchman Street, filled with art and music but minus the tackiness of Bourbon Street. A bicycle rental place was down the street. The breakfasts were unbelievably delicious. Sincere thanks for the incredible experience we had staying at Elysian.

I just got back from another great stay at Elysian Fields Inn. Michelle and Bob are gracious and warm hosts who make me feel like I'm staying with friends, yet also give me the privacy to come and go as I please. Breakfast is always delicious and it is really nice to be able to grab a bag of Zapp's Potato Chips on my way back to the room after drinking a couple of beers while watching some great music on nearby Frenchman Street. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

The Inn is only about 4 blocks from Frenchman street and the French quarter. Really nice place to stay. Bob & Michelle made you feel right at home. Michelle is also a great cook. Both went out of their way to show you all the attractions to go see if you have never been to New Orleans. Inn is very clean, well kept and comfortable. Highly recommend.

Bob and I met in high school and have lived in Louisville KY and Atlanta GA before moving to New Orleans to take ownership of Elysian Fields Inn. One of our two daughters started her nursing career here and soon after met her husband, a native of New Orleans. We decided to consider a move here and we stayed at Elysian Fields Inn on one of our many visits. We fell in love with the Inn and are honored to carry on it's 15 year tradition of wowing guests.
