A remarkable transformation and renovation has taken place here, where you literally step back in history into an 1860's Grand Inn with every comfort of the 21st century at hand. Our location, in the historic Faubourg Marigny section of New Orleans enables our guests to enjoy the close proximity of the French Quarter (only 5 blocks) and the Frenchmen Street shops and restaurants

This was our second time at Elysian Fields Inn. Michelle and her husband are amazingly sweet and couldn't have made our stay more comfortable. The place is cute, clean, and safe, and perfectly located. We'll definitely be back!

Immaculate and gorgeous house. A short, short walk to Bourbon and Frenchmen's Street but far enough away to avoid the hoopla. The hosts are pleasant. Would recommend without hesitation.

Idk where to start Michelle & Bob are kind, they waited up for us to make it into town. They made sure we had parking. Bob gave us a map and showed us the well light areas to walk to get onto Frenchmen street late at night. Super close you can walk to everything or catch a cab. The room was nice and clean. Michelle even offered to keep our bag after check out if we didn't want to take them. I can't wait to go back!

Elysian Fields is warm, welcoming and beautiful. It's also well located. Really enjoyed my stay.

The inn itself is just the right size, allowing for the privacy of a hotel combined with the friendly service of a B&B. The location is also great - the French Quarter is about a 15-minute walk, or you can save a little walking with the Rampart St. streetcar just a block way. Frenchmen Street, with many bars, restaurants, and lots of live music, is also just a couple of blocks away, as is the trendy Bywater neighborhood. The rooms are comfortable and spotless and are a great value. I don't take full advantage of the breakfast, but the offerings are high-quality and often include a hot option. Highly recommended.

The innkeepers were absolutely wonderful in helping us with recommendations and directions. They provided us with a list of great place to eat and hear the music of New Orleans. The inn was also so convenient to walk to Frenchman Street for music and dining and to the French Quarter. Also very close to a trolley car stop.

The interior of the building is lovely and the owners very gracious and helpful. The facility is on a busy thoroughfare. While it is in fact only 2 blocks from the French Quarter, the areas one needed to walk through to get to the heart of the French Quarter were not necessarily the nicest so late at night a taxi might be preferred.

This was a great place to stay. So close to the music scene on Frechman Street. The innkeeper was very helpful in giving us information on where to go and how to get there. We also meet some of the other guests at breakfast, which really enhanced the experience!

yes, this inn really is outstanding in every way. Enjoyed the food, the company, the area (so close to Frenchmen Street and lots of great music and food). Bob and Michelle are really terrific hosts - open, comfortable, knowledgeable - truly love people.

Bob & Michelle Hagan
Bob and I met in high school and have lived in Louisville KY and Atlanta GA before moving to New Orleans to take ownership of Elysian Fields Inn. One of our two daughters started her nursing career here and soon after met her husband, a native of New Orleans. We decided to consider a move here and we stayed at Elysian Fields Inn on one of our many visits. We fell in love with the Inn and are honored to carry on it's 15 year tradition of wowing guests.
