  • 8 oz French bread
  • 1/3 cup Half n Half
  • 2/3 cup Orange Juice
  • 1/4 cup Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 tablespoon Vanilla
  • 4 Eggs
  • 1/3 cup Butter
  • 1/2 cup Chopped Pecans


  1. Cut french bread into 8 pieces approx 1 inch thick. Place into 9x13 baking pan.
  2. Whip eggs until well blended. Add half n half, salt, juice, sugar, vanilla and cinnamon. Mix well. Pour mixture over bread to coat evenly. Cover with plastic wrap and place in frig overnight.
  3. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Remove pan from frig at least 30 minutes before baking. Melt 1/3 cup of butter and spread on cookie sheet. Remove bread from baking pan and place on cookie sheet spacing about 1/2 inch apart. Sprinkle with chopped pecans. Bake for 20 minutes. Serve with homemade orange sauce.
