In a Kitchen Aid or other mixer beat cream cheese until soft. Add eggs 1 at a time. Scrape down sides of mixer add all other ingredients and mix well.Fold in drained sausage.
Line a 9 inch springform pan with pastry.
Pour in cheese mixture.
Preheat oven to 375 and cook cheesecake on middle shelf for 1 hour. Cool for 15 minutes. Cut into wedges and serve.
This recipe freezes well. Thaw completely and reheat at 350 for 30 minutes
Note: You can add any ingredients you like to the basic recipe, such as cooked diced onion, sliced mushrooms or crumbled bacon or minced fresh herbs.
