Canal Street Inn exceeded my expectations. The pictures online don't give it justice. The room I stayed in was the Royal Street Room and it was beautiful. The staff was wonderful and breakfast was amazing. I slept good every night. There is nothing that I would change about the place. Thank you all for the wonderful service. Love Chardee.

Fortunately we were double booked at Fleur de Lis so we were able to enjoy the superb Canal Street Inn. Monica and Christina were so helpful and such fun. They served wonderful breakfasts and suggested places to visit and to dine at. It is a fabulous old house with beautiful furnishings etc.

My husband and I stayed here three nights last week and couldn't have made a better choice. It is a large, beautiful historic home with large guest rooms with the Canal Street Streetcar stopping across the street which made for convenient traveling throughout the city. Our room was large, well furnished and comfortable. The bed was comfortable and the room and attached bathroom was spotless. Breakfast was served each morning on the back screened in porch and the food was wonderful. Wine, coffee and tea was available 24 hours a day if you wanted it. The gorgeous front porch was a great place to relax and talk with other guests. Monica the owner and Christina the innkeeper are two of the main reasons this B&B made it a favorite of ours. They are both very friendly, funny and helpful. When we checked in we were told about a quickly put-together Second Line Parade and Tribute to Prince later than afternoon and we did go. This is why I prefer B&Bs to hotels. Hotel staff is most likely not to even know about local events going on but B&B owners and staff are part of the community. My husband and I own a B&B ourselves and are picky about where we stay. The Canal Street Inn met all our expectations and we definitely recommend this inn.

I can not say enough about this wonderful place. This was my first experience staying at a bed and breakfast and it was fantastic!! The minute we arrived we were warmly greeted. We instantly felt comfortable and at home. The house itself is beautiful with attention to detail. Our room was large and very comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and we were able to relax and enjoy the company. There were nine of us all together and we were well taken care of. I will recommend the Canal Street Inn to anyone staying in New Orleans. We will be staying there again on our next trip. A true gem and a great experience.

We truly enjoyed our stay at the Inn. The staff provided us with a 5 star experience. They made us feel at home and we would highly recommend this B & B to our friends and neighbors. We hope to visit New Orleans again and the Canal Street Inn would be our #1 choice of places to stay. We want to thank the staff at the Canal Street Inn for making our first visit to New Orleans a great experience.

So glad we chose the Canal Street Inn for a long weekend in New Orleans! Wonderful the minute we walked in the door! Monica and Michael ensured we felt right at home and they were the greatest hosts. Very relaxing environment and they were very helpful. Every inch of the Inn was beautiful, comfortable and well-appointed. Each breakfast was delicious and gorgeous. Location was perfect - it was quiet and easy walking distance to great restaurants and the streetcar. Cannot imagine a better experience than this!

A comfortable and charming inn right on the trolley line, making it convenient to get just about anywhere you may want to go without needing a car. A fabulous breakfast is served each morning with a choice of 8 am or 9 am seatings. Our room was a comfortable first floor (basement) room, quite large and convenient , with a refrigerator right outside the door. The inn has lovely style in the common areas, particularly the dining area and parlor, as well as a front porch and a screened back porch. There is outside seating as well on a veranda with arbors. Thoroughly enjoyed the charm and hospitality at Canal Street Inn.

We can't say enough good things about our stay at the Canal Street Inn. Michael was a true delight, as was Maria. The atmosphere, the comfort, the food, the location all was perfect. I recommend this B&B without reservation, we will be back and I advise anyone visiting New Orleans to consider staying here, you will be delighted. Michael, see you next time! Sheila & Jerry

As B&B owners ourselves, we definitely enjoyed meeting Monica and her husband, discussing the details of the business. The mansion, the grounds, common areas, as well as the suites were immaculately clean and impeccably designed. Breakfast was plentiful, delicious, and beautifully presented. The owners did a fantastic job transforming this historic mansion into a comfortable and relaxing place for the guests without detracting from its historic ambiance. The location is perfect to visit New Orleans as well as plantation homes such as “Laura’s plantation, “Oak Allie “, “St. Joseph” , and many other gorgeous antebellum homes in the area. We most certainly recommend “the Canal Street Inn” to anyone visiting New Orleans and the surrounding area!!!
