Wonderful stay at Charred Oaks Inn

Great place to stay while enjoying Lexington. Pamela and Richard were fabulous hosts with great suggestions for what to do. They accommodated our schedule in every way. The evening deserts and morning breakfasts were both fantastic!

Nice place with great hosts!

Stayed at Charred Oaks Inn after Keeneland day; wish we would have read the details of the B&B offerings, before we ate dessert ou. We were enamoured with chocolate tort that was left out in the living area, but too full to eat anything. Breakfast was accomodated early before we drove home, and was a delightful tasty experience. We will come again. Not sure I would call this place a "value" because I usually use the word to note a small price compared to what is received. It is appropriately priced for the value that you receive and we are always happy when places live up the hype. MC

Warm Welcome From New Found Friends

On a recent visit to Lexington, we had the great good fortune to stay at Charred Oaks Inn. Pamela and Richard have beautifully restored their home and appointed it with lovely furnishings, many of them antiques and family pieces. Charming guest rooms are spacious, and welcoming with comfortable beds, and new ensuite bathrooms. Pamela and Richard embrace their guests with gracious hospitality, assistance with dinner suggestions and reservations, suggestions for daily activities, and generously share their arts both fine and culinary. Pamela’s passion for cooking and baking is immediately evident in her delicious gourmet breakfasts and tempting evening desserts. It was a lovely experience!

Signature Dish

Baked Oatmeal with fresh seasonal fruits
This is not your mother's oatmeal! It's more like dessert than breakfast - it's like eating a giant oatmeal cookie chock full of fresh fruits of any season like raspberries, blueberries and blackberries in the warm months and apples, pears and cranberries in the cold months. Topped with plain or vanilla yogurt or a little milk makes it even more yummy!
