My wife Kathy and I went to Nashville for our 21st anniversary. It was nice but way too many people !!! Anyway. This is the first vacation for just the 2 of us in about 14 years. We would use our vacation time to visit 2 of our sons who were in the military. So after about 3 days in Nashville Kathy thought it would be nice to find a place a little more laid back. She saw the signs for Patti's and The Rose of the Lake on our way down to Nashville and called about a room on our way back. Not only did we get a room on pretty short notice, they called and got us reservations at Patti's !!! Just walking up the front steps you can feel yourself slowing down and relaxing !!! The flowers, the pool and the house itself are instantly inviting you to sit down and forget anything that may be troubling you. if you are LUCKY, You will be greeted by James !!! If this guy can't make you forget your troubles and feel at home in the first 3 minutes you are there, you may as well tie a rock around your neck at jump in the pool !!! There is NO hope for you !!! The tour around the house and pool area with James is an experience that is contagious !!! The love that this man has for his job and the grounds and the animals warms the heart !!! Chip ( an owner ) Is great to talk with. his knowledge of the area and just about any other subject is amazing. Then there is Ronnie. Chips sister who lives there now is a real sweetheart !!! I do believe if we had more time I could have sat and talked with here for hours !!! just a fantastic lady !!! And the 2 I call " The ladies of the house " I cannot for the life of me think of their names but they sure lay out a feast for breakfast !!! And the rooms are spotless !!! they will sit and drink coffee with you and converse like you are part of the family. We have stayed in quite a few B&B's but this has got to be one of the best !!! Thanks to everyone at the Rose of the Lake !!! I'm SURE we will be back !!!

We just returned from our vacation at Land Between the Lakes. We stayed at the wonderful Rose of the Lakes B&B. We cannot say enough about the accommodations, the owners and the staff. Everything was exquisite. We stayed in the Gentle Persuasion Room--very roomy. The beds were comfortable. We had our own full bathroom, satellite T.V., refrigerator and private entrance. Chip, Patsy and James went out of their way to welcome us into their home--and home is what it felt like! The breakfast was out of this world! I never ate so much for breakfast in my life. They called it just a simple country breakfast, but it was anything but. Scrambled eggs, eggs Benedict, bacon, sausage, sticky rolls, fresh fruit cup, biscuits and sausage gravy, fried potatoes and more if you can believe it! And all was prepared in the house before our eyes. We were given a tour of the property and enjoyed hearing Chip's stories of his Mom and Dad who started (or were the inspiration for) Patties 1880 Settlement. If you are planning a trip to Land Between the Lakes Rose of the Lakes B&B is a must! Thank you Chip, Patsy and James for an enjoyable evening and morning. David Camp Carolyn Winkler Connie Burlison

I rate this beautiful B&B a 5 out of 5 all the way! The most amazing people to deal with and hospitality was off the chart, the room was perfect, the meal was quite possibility the best breakfast I have ever ate. Cant say enough good things about Rose of the Lake. Take the time to visit, you will not regret it!

This was such a wonderful experience. There are so many things I could elaborate on that I will try to give the highlights. I loved the room - Kiss of Desire it was warmly decorated that met our needs perfectly along with its own shower and bathroom. We loved the feel of family and home. Chip and Mike thank you for your great hospitality. The beautiful lights and gardens and creek was so tranquil . We just loved the breakfast while listening to the family stories. We stayed at this B &B over the weekend of 10/24/14 for two nights. What made this a unique and memorable stay? It was the innkeepers Mike and Chip. They cared for us like family and made us feel at home. Mike and Chip, your Southern hospitality was very much appreciated and we had a very nice time. Maizy mae and Maggie, the two little dogs and Buddy the cat are very entertaining. The koi fish pond, the beautiful tropical plants and the variety of pies on the kitchen table for the guests after a day of hiking or being outdoors in the area are very welcoming and refreshing. You guys are just wonderful and God Bless you and your lovely home!

Such warm and gracious hospitality, beautiful facilities kept immaculate and most delicious home-cooked southern breakfasts, including home-made honey glaze biscuits and the best sticky buns you have ever tasted! We highly recommend this and we definitely plan to go back! Thank you Chip, Michael and Patsy!

The service was none I had ever experienced before, so nice, very helpful, even let us take golf cart through town which was great first time on golf cart also. Looked at several rooms all very nice, very clean and the breakfast was great. We will be visiting again very soon. Also loved maggie, mazy & buddy!!!!!!!!

Our group of friends stayed at the Rose of The lake over the Labor Day weekend August/September 2013. A few of the ladies in our group had been there before. Prior to our trip they had told us how nice it was. Upon arriving we were met by Chip & Mike. We were given a tour of the home and the surroundings and then shown to our rooms. From the moment we walked in we were treated like family. I have been going to Grand Rivers/Land between the Lakes for over 43 years and I have never stayed anywhere as nice as the "Rose". Chip, Mike and the rest of the staff were OUTSTANDING!!! I cannot wait to come back. Thanks for everything. John E Griswold Member--Second Annual Red Neck Yacht Club Kentuck Tour

This is a magic place. Mike & Chip & all involved with the operation were genuinely warm, hospitable, attentive & just plain nice people. The rooms & setting are spectacular, extremely comfortable, slow paced, kicked back. Delightful swimming pool & hot tub, beautiful plants & flowers. Wonderful all you can eat home cooked breakfasts. Can't say enough good about this place. A little piece of heaven indeed.

My cousin had his wedding and reception here a couple weeks ago. You could have not of asked for better hospitality or service. Our family had the entire resort and Mike and Chip went above and beyond. Even for our last breakfast they were told just pancakes. They still went all out. Thank you gentleman and ladies for a wonderful weekend and a spectacular wedding for my family. We will be back

Absolutely the best Bed and Breakfast I have ever stayed at. The service, hospitality and rooms were amazing! No where have I ever had such a better breakfast. I have taken family and friends down now several times. I've rented both a room as well as the whole B & B for family and friends. Wonderful, memorial times!
