All around wonderful

5 on August 31, 2018

My wife and I went here for our anniversary and it was incredible! The room (second floor of the cabin) was more than we could have asked for with an in-room nespresso machine and delicious cookies waiting for us upon arrival. However, the crowning experience was breakfast! Jennifer is an amazing chef and the breakfast was the best I’ve ever had....homemade granola, fresh fruit, grits with spinach and bacon and—to top it all off—smoked salmon egg & cheese on a brioche bun! Highly recommended.

Charming B&B

3.6 on August 14, 2018

Breakfast far exceeded any from any other B&B’s we’ve stayed at.

Innkeeper Response
Thank you for your review. I am happy to hear that our breakfast exceeded your expectations. I only wish that some of the other area's could have done the same. If you would like to call the Inn and let us know how we might have done a little better, we are happy for any and all feedback! Jennifer Goodman Innkeeper

Anniversary weekend

5 on August 13, 2018

First time staying here and couldn’t have asked for a better place to spend our anniversary weekend. The breakfast is delicious and the little treats left in our room each day were scrumptious!! Also, the linens feel like you’re floating on a cloud. Loved it!

Innkeeper Response
Thank you for celebrating your special weekend with us! And thank you for your kind review. Maybe we will see you next year! Jennifer Goodman Innkeeper

Best B&B We’ve Visited

5 on August 10, 2018

We’ve stayed at a number of nice B&B’s throughout the country, but this one tops the list for charming accommodations and delicious breakfasts and treats. The grounds are well kept with ample parking and numerous outdoor gathering spots where you can enjoy the lush and peaceful surroundings. Close to local attractions and just minutes from the airport (without all the noise). Definitely a great place to stay!!

Great Experience

One-year Anniversary Trip

5 on July 26, 2018

My wife and I stayed at Willis Graves B&B for 4 nights in the William Rouse room. The rooms were absolutely beautiful, and everything was extremely clean. Jennifer and the staff were very courteous and helpful. My wife and I agreed that our favorite part of our stay was the breakfasts! Jennifer is a fantastic chef, and graciously accommodated my special dietary needs. I highly recommend Willis Graves B&B for any reason, just for an unwind or a special occasion.

Excellent Service!

5 on July 25, 2018

We had excellent service from Jennifer and her staff. She has the cleanest and nicest accommodations. She makes the best sea salt, chocolate chip cookies ever! You won’t find a more delicious breakfast anywhere! We were so full, we didn’t eat again until 5:00 pm. This was our second stay here, but our first with the new owner. We were very impressed with all the upgrades, king beds, added furniture, and the new fire pit, which was so nice to sit around in the evening. We highly recommend staying here, especially the cabin. We can’t wait to back with our family!

Wonderful Stay!

5 on July 02, 2018

An absolutely wonderful stay. We've stayed at many BnB's and the "Retreat" room with steam shower at Willis Graves is arguably one of the nicest! A new Cabin being converted for rent will be our next stay. One (and only) minor negative comment - we're use to fuller pillows and these felt paper thin.

Fabulous Stay at Willis Graves!

5 on June 29, 2018

We had the joy of spending our 25th wedding anniversary at this wonderful bed and breakfast. Our accommodations were on the lower level of the William Rouse Log Cabin, which is located behind the main house. The history of this cabin is fascinating, but we were really impressed with how well this cabin was reconstructed. Although the upper level was also occupied during our stay, sound didn't transfer to our level - unless they were coming down the stairs to go outside. Our room had a working fireplace, a four poster king bed, an antique wardrobe, and dresser with a flat panel TV, a small table and chair, and two chairs at the foot of the bed. There was adequate lighting, in keeping with the theme of the room, and most of the lights had dimmer switches on them. The room had AC, and I found a small tabletop fan that I could put on my bedside table. Being a white noise user - I really appreciated this fan! There was a small hallway in the back of our level that had a backdoor that led to a porch ( with seating), and the hallway connected to a modern bathroom with tub and a separate steam shower. Plush towels, a Nespresso with a variety of coffees, as well as an electric tea kettle were all supplied for our use. We had a small refrigerator too. We were welcomed with two wonderful cookies in our room, and the next day two pieces of homemade chocolate candy. Jennifer, our innkeeper, was warm and welcoming. She was available to answer any questions and inquired as to any food allergies that we might have. Breakfast the next morning was located in the dining room of the main house. And if I might add, the kitchen in this inn is fabulous! Breakfast was exceptionally tasty - and we actually had choices to make off of a menu! Jennifer warned us that we wouldn't need lunch - and she was absolutely correct. We had a wonderful time and definitely plan to go back!

Beautiful Property

5 on June 29, 2018

We stayed for two nights while I attended a teacher workshop in the area. We had a wonderful little get away. The room was adorable, the breakfast was wonderful and the evening treats were delicious! The owner and staff of the Willis Graves were friendly and accommodating. We would highly recommend to anyone staying in the area.

1830s Charm with Modern Amenities

4.4 on May 07, 2018

Elegant. Formal. Well-manicured historic property inside and out. Gourmet breakfasts with plenty of choices. Many thoughtful room touches like a reading light for the bed, a writing desk, wing chair, compact room refrigerator/freezer, luxury linens and bath toiletries, sky light in my bathroom. Since the house is an historic property, outside areas have been built to provide spaces to relax and socialize, including a covered porch, fire pit with seating, and a separate building with serving counter and games. You will be in the lap of luxury here. One caveat: The stairs leading to rooms in the main house are narrow and steep, making those rooms unsuitable for persons with significant mobility issues. A separate cabin with wider and fewer stairs is available out back. Please check with the owner Jennifer if you have mobility issues.

Innkeeper Response
Thank you for your kind and detailed review! Those steps are narrow, and steep..... keeps us on our toes here!

Soccer tournament for grandson

5 on April 25, 2018

Even though I had to change my plans at the last minute, Jennifer was so accommodating. As it turned out I got switched to the Graves Suite. How about that? It is roomy, comfortable furnishings, and a room I want to come back to soon. The breakfast is fabulous and the nighttime treats, WOW. Jennifer I love what you have done with the place. Can't wait to return.

Innkeeper Response
Thank you very much! We love happy guests, especially ones that have been coming for years! See you soon......

Amazing B & B in Burlington!

5 on April 15, 2018

My husband and I escaped the snow of WI over Easter to take on warmer weather in KY! With a disc golf course as a destination goal, Willis Graves was close and looked interesting. Little did we know, that Willis Graves B & B will now become a vacation destination in the future! We stayed for 3 nights and were treated to hospitality and breakfast like none other! Our host provided an experience that will be tough to repeat anywhere else. Thank you so much for your gluten free options and the amazing loaf of banana bread that you sent along with us for our return trip home. Bourbon balls, muffins, cookies and even a rec room in the evening in which to play games was "over and above" anything we imagined! Lyle and Christie Timm (Franklin, WI)

Innkeeper Response
Thank you! You brought a smile to my face, thinking back to having the 2 of you here. We enjoyed your company and cant wait to see you again..... your officially family now.

Southern Hospitality at its Best

5 on April 09, 2018

The Willis Grave’s Bed and Breakfast Inn has all of the grace and charm that one associates with Southern hospitality. Attention is paid to every detail from the fresh baked cookies welcoming you as you begin your stay to the inviting decor that embodies the history of the Northern Kentucky region. The innkeeper, Jennifer, and her staff provide such a warm and friendly atmosphere. This Bed and Breakfast even provides several nice outdoor settings to enjoy the lovely landscape as well as a gathering room to visit with guests and relax if the weather outdoors is not to your liking. You almost feel as if you are visiting family. The delicious gourmet breakfast offers a wide variety of menu items to fit the needs and tastes of all of the guests. We have stayed in many Bed and Breakfasts throughout the years and Willis Graves is at the top of our list as far as favorites. The Stevens Family

Innkeeper Response
Thank you Ron and Jo for your kind words. You guys are awesome! We hope to see you again sometime. I think I owe you a recipe? In a few months all the recipes will be on the website!

Weekday getaway

3.6 on April 01, 2018

Great time! Only negative comment is that the stairway to bedrooms ,upper level, is VERY steep. I would not recommend upstairs stay for that reason.

Innkeeper Response
I'm so sorry to read your review. And you are right, this old house has very steep steps. We try to let everyone know ahead of time, I guess we missed it with you. We typically get 5 stars, so as you can imagine, this is very disappointing to us. Please let us know if there is some way to make it up to you. Most sincerely

My wife and I stayed here for three nights in February, and it was one of the best B&B experiences we have ever had. Jennifer and her staff were excellent hosts, the accommodations were very comfortable and immaculate, the food was excellent. Would definitely recommend!

Great getaway

5 on January 08, 2018

My husband and I enjoyed a one night stay just after Christmas. We were blown away by how nice the room was- we stayed in the William Rouse Log Cabin Retreat on the second floor. The bathroom was ah-mazing. We had a delicious, gourmet breakfast the next morning. We only wished our stay had been longer. We will come back sometime when it is warmer out and we can take advantage of other amenities they have onsite, such as the fire pit and the community room.

Innkeeper Response
Thanks so much for your kind words! Hope to see you at the firepit!

- Jennifer Goodman (innkeeper)

Food was amazing!!

4.6 on January 06, 2018

The chef and owner served a 4 course dinner on New Year’s Eve and a 3 course complimentary breakfast on New Year’s Day. You could not have better food at a Cincinnati restaurant!! Only complaint was our suite was very cold in the morning (even with a space heater and fireplace going).

Innkeeper Response
Thank you! And yes this winter was a bit of a bear, and the Suite does get chilly! Next time we can load you up with another down.

Overnight get away

4.8 on December 26, 2017

This is the second time we have stayed here. The cabin is wonderful. Gives you the old time feel with all the luxuries of current time. The oversized whirlpool tub is amazing! The food is amazing. The staff are so kind and helpful. We will definitely be returning!!

Innkeeper Response
Thank you for your kind review! Hopefully when you return our new social room will be open for dinning, reading, relaxing! And a little warmer to sit at the fire pit!

BEST bday experience of my life.

5 on December 23, 2017

I avoided BandBs because I think they seem like a ripoff, but I cant even begin to tell you all what an incredible experience this place was. I now have a new Bday tradition. Jenn and the ladies took great care of me. Im excited about the new space!

Innkeeper Response
Thanks for your kind words! The Social room is open!

5 on December 11, 2017

Where do I begin.....I have never stayed at a B and B before because I think theyre a little weird, but this changed everything for me. Jennifer and the ladies were so gracious, greeting me and giving me a personal tour of the grounds. The Room was beyond spectacular, EXCELLENT linens and so uniquely furnished, and CLEAN, The best part was hands down the food. Jennifer can cook incredible things in that kitchen. Think about this: you could spend a lot of money just to try to find a meal as amazing as this chef can prepare, and here you get a room the Best breakfast in Kentucky, I think that is what they should put on their sign. "Best Breakfast in Kentucky" -Anonymous I went for my birthday, and it was honestly one of the best times I've ever had, which probably means I need to get out more, but hey, I don't think so, I just think there's something going on at this place that is really unique, and I'm so excited to say I experienced it. Thank you!

Innkeeper Response
Thank you so much for your kind words...and honesty. I think there are folks that have pre conceived notions about BNB's. lol And we do our best to change any falsehoods here!

Great getaway to Northern Kentucky

5 on November 17, 2017

We recently enjoyed a great weekend staying at the Willis Graves B&B Inn in Burlington. Stayed in the Thomas room and it was very comfortable. Took day trips into the nearby towns as well as downtown Cincinnati and enjoyed a romantic dinner at the Tousey House Tavern just down the street. The Inn keeper Jennifer could not have been nicer and attended to our every request. The breakfasts were wonderful and she offered a menu of great choices. For us this was the perfect Anniversary setting to get away from the rat race and spend time with just the two of us. We will be back.

Innkeeper Response
Thanks for your great review! Im glad you had a great time. Hope to see you again!

Great Stay in Cozy Room

4.8 on November 17, 2017

It was COLD in KY when we arrived! Especially for two Floridians. But we received a warm welcome and we're taken to our cozy cabin room. We soon had the fire going and later enjoyed the steam shower! Everything about the Willis Graves Inn is perfect! As others have said, the breakfast was outstanding! We only wish we could have stayed more than one night.

Innkeeper Response
Thank you for your wonderful review. It was really really cold! Hope to see you again!

Felt welcomed

From the moment we got there, we were greeted at the front door by Jennifer. From that point on we had lots of privacy, something we enjoy. Our first at a B&B, hopefully not the last.

Best B & B

5 on November 14, 2017

We had the best stay at Burlington's Willis. It was the perfect way to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We stayed in the William Rouse room on the lower floor. The gas fireplace was wonderful to use with temperatures in the 30's at night and the bed was so comfortable. The double person whirlpool and steam shower were so relaxing. Jennifer spoiled us with the breakfast in the mornings. My husband and I fell in love with the banana and blueberry parfait with homemade granola on top. I really loved the Orange Crème Brûlée French Toast too. We had cookies and chocolate waiting on us in our room after check in and cleanings. Jennifer was so sweet and so was her staff. Wonderful hospitality! We definitely plan on coming back. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Innkeeper Response
Thank you for your kind review. Hope to see you again. Come check out the new fire pit and social room!

Charming B&B in Kentucky

5 on November 07, 2017

I recently stayed at this Bed and Breakfast in Northern Kentucky with my husband. We only stayed two nights. I say only because I would have happily eaten many more breakfasts at this delightful place. The owner and chef is creative and well trained, as are her staff. The rooms are super clean and cozy. They provide wonderful robes in each room. They also have and extensive video library for those who want to just relax in their room in the evening.

Best 3 Days

5 on September 30, 2017

Comfortable, friendly, delicious...you fill in the rest of the superlatives! We had been here before, so this time we brought friends. They were happy to go, but were astounded once they actually arrived. The setting, the food, the accommodations, and the price! What a wonderful place. If you are passing through, or just looking for an ideal get-away, put Willis Graves on your list! It's a must!

4.2 on September 13, 2017

We were only there one night--glad we were able to stay--would like to go back again. Jennifer made us feel right at home, was willing to sit down with us, gave us some of the history of the B&B. Breakfast was awesome--willing to fix us anything we wanted.

A Perfect Getaway!

4.4 on September 10, 2017

I had no idea a Bed & Breakfast of this quality was so close to Cincinnati! Our room was in the main house yet it still felt very private. The personal touches were unexpected. The place felt old and full of character but so clean and full of modern conveniences. The breakfast was fabulous! Can't wait to go back!

Innkeeper Response
Thank you for your kind words! We hope to see you in the future!

Inn was absolutely great. The breakfast was superb. The innkeeper (forgive me I forgot her name) could not have been more pleasant. I will definitely stay here again next time I am in the area.

Wonderful stay

4.8 on August 29, 2017

Needed a place to stay for 2 nights, when I found a B&B room rate just a little more than the hotels I was looking at, I booked it. My wife and I love old homes and this fit the bill. Yes, we got the cheapest room, but it was good for us. Bed was a little too soft for me, but my wife loved it. From the ample parking lot, to the grounds of the property, this is a good place to stay. Best perk for me, it turns out one of the top 10 rated disc golf courses in the world is less than a mile away. I only wish our flight was not so early on our 2nd night, we missed the killer breakfast the 2nd day.

Innkeeper Response
Thank you for your very kind words. We are never happy when guests have to leave before breakfast. We hope to see you again!

- Jennifer (innkeeper)

5 on August 22, 2017

We stayed in two different rooms due to availability, 3 nights total. The experience could not have been better. The accommodations were well designed, furnished and decorated. The food is fabulous (the owner is a chef by background) and the staff are a joy to be around. The grounds are beautifully groomed. What a place!

Beautiful and classy

5 on August 20, 2017

The breakfast was superb, all home made and gently served. What a pleasure! Oh, and we met members of the Benny Goodman family, as a bonus!

Innkeeper Response

A piece of heaven on earth.

5 on August 15, 2017

Burlington Willis Graves B&B was a place that provided much needed rest and a bit of pampering. The owner and staff are very friendly and on hand to answer questions. The room was outstanding, the service was excellent, and the breakfast was absolutely delicious. If you are looking for a country setting with a hint of luxury this is the place to stay. We are hoping to stay there again soon.

Outstanding B&B

5 on August 08, 2017

Everything was excellent. Private, quiet, relaxing and friendly environment. Breakfast was outstanding and Jennifer makes amazing cookies (ready in your room upon arrival.) There are so many things to do that are close by. We could have stayed a week or two but were only there 3 nights. Jennifer clearly cares about her patrons and is always adventuring on how she can make the stay even more inviting. Thank you to Jennifer and her staff, adding to our perfect vacation. Will be back !!!! Matt and Amy Skarke. Ohio.

A Perfect Anniversary Getaway!

4.4 on July 17, 2017

My husband and I spent our anniversary night here and loved every minute! The rooms were clean and equipped with everything we needed, included cookies upon arrival (yum). We loved borrowing DVDs from downstairs to watch at night and played the Scrabble board game that was in our room. The breakfast was the best we have had in a long time -- the creme brulee stuffed french toast is unbeatable! Our only complaint was that the bed was not as comfortable as we would have liked and we both woke up a few times to get cozier throughout the night. However, the pros far outweighed the con and we would absolutely go back!

Innkeeper Response
Thank you for your kind review. Note: we have replaced the mattress in the room you stayed in :) Hopefully we will see you again!

Still a Great Place to Stay

4.8 on July 17, 2017

Happy to see that the same high standards, cleanliness, great food, and congenial atmosphere has not changed with the transition in ownership from Bob and Nancy Swartzel to Jennifer Goodman. We have been here many times in the past 15 years and it was terrific as always.

Innkeeper Response
I'm so happy you came. I want all of the previous guests to feel the same way. No way would we change the amazing foundation from Nancy and Bob! I'm just glad to be the one to carry on! Come again.

All The Comforts Of Home & Then Some

5 on July 09, 2017

Our hostess, Jennifer made our stay absolutely perfect! We adore our privacy and always seek to find just the right place to permit that. Our place at this B&B was the absolute perfect place to permit that to take place. We had our wonderful "private" getaway where we could have our time to welcome our morning together with coffee on our private porch, a gourmet breakfast in our cabin, and an evening glass of wine watching the trees & bushes light up with fireflies...and all with no intrusions. All the comforts of home, and then some! Thank you Jennifer and staff for your special services provided and making our stay an unforgettable one...We will be seeing you again.

Innkeeper Response
Thank you so much for your review! We aim to please, and hope each guests has the experience they want. Hope to see you again

Perfect getaway just outside of Cincy

5 on June 20, 2017

It was our first getaway and couldn't say anything but amazingness. The room was clean and romantic - the bathroom was just perfect. For a couple from Cincy who wanted to lounge around in robes and eat fantastic breakfasts (the new owner is a chef!!) --- this is perfect! At night we walked the grounds enjoying the sounds of frogs and nature. There is nothing to do around the B&B and only two sit-down restaurants but for us that was all we wanted for our two-night visit.

Innkeeper Response
Thank you for your kind review. I apologize for my late response!

Quiet and Lovely Stay

4.8 on June 14, 2017

We cannot say enough about how blessed we were with our stay. Jennifer, Nancy and Bob were lovely hosts and did all they could to make our stay with them wonderful. I have food allergies and they were able to accommodate my needs above my expectations. If you are travelling in this area we would highly recommend staying there.

Top notch

5 on June 06, 2017

I would stay there again in a heartbeat. Very nice place and very nice people!

Birthday Get Away

5 on May 19, 2017

As a gift for my birthday, my wife arranged our stay at the Willis Graves. This being our second time, she selected the cabin room as our destination. What a great surprise and a fantastic room. The care that went into the room is amazing and we had a wonderful time just enjoying our stay. We cannot say enough of the warm welcome Nancy and Bob gave us and the attention to each detail as the showed us around. It was like coming home to stay with old friends with such a welcoming feel. The morning breakfast was wonderful and sharing with the other guest was very nice. We were able to meet others who love to stay at B&B's. We look forward to our next stay and the amazing french toast!

Top Notch B&B

5 on May 14, 2017

A very clean and quiet B&B in a small town in Kentucky that is close to multiple food and shopping outlets as well as the interstate. The inn keepers are very friendly and helpful with finding local points of interest. We stayed at the log cabin which was wonderfully rustic and still well appointed while providing a private boarding experience. The breakfast offerings were wonderful and delicious, my favorite being the breakfast pie. I would highly recommend this B&B to anyone. My only problem is that we live over 700 miles away making repeat visit difficult for us, but I definitely would if I were to return to the area.

Lovely Stay

4.6 on May 11, 2017

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Willis Graves B&B. Our hosts were delightful and the accommodations as promised.

Amazing getaway!

5 on May 10, 2017

We absolutely loved this B&B. It was our first B&B experience, but the sservice was amazing, the food was excellent. Our room was absolutely gorgeous, and we had all of this for less than what I've paid to stay in hotels in the area. I loved getting to talk with the owners about the history of the B&B and how they had renovated. I just can't say enough good things. We will definitely go back!

Birthday Wish

5 on May 09, 2017

This was our second stay at the Willis Graves and had another great time. The warm welcome, fantastic room and the wonderful care was second to none. We loved our room in the cabin with the beautiful decor and great amenities made the stay perfect. Nancy make your stay so comfortable and with Sandy make every thing great. We look toward to our next visit!!

Relaxing and Quaint

Great Place to stay

4.6 on May 02, 2017

The owners were very kind. They were considerate of our need for privacy on one hand, but on the other hand, were available if we needed anything. The breakfast was delicious. I loved the close attention to details!!

5 on April 26, 2017

Clean rooms, very friendly staff. Our 3rd visit, we eill return.

Our first B&B experience

5 on April 26, 2017

The Burli-Grave was recommended by my boss who has been before. My husband and I went for our anniversary and we had a wonderful time. Bob and Nancy were both very inviting and all the amenities were exceptional! Can't wait to go back!

Great combination of luxury and charm

5 on April 25, 2017

Our stay in April 2017 was outstanding! We booked the entire cabin for a two-night stay with my parents. They took the lower level suite and my husband and I had the upper level room. Both had beautiful bathrooms with steam showers, jetted tub and lovely finishes. Great location just outside of Covington and just a quick/easy trip to the Ark Encounter. We were too tired to stay up and play games in the lower level living area, but it was very nice with room to stretch out. Amazing breakfast options, guest lobby in the main house, plenty of easy parking, very kind hosts. Go! You will not be disappointed. Truly is as lovely as the photos!

Burlington's Willis Graves B&B a piece of paradise

5 on April 25, 2017

Nancy and Bob are wonderful and gracious hosts. The inn is immaculate, the breakfasts gourmet. A very peaceful place.

Exceptional B&B!

5 on April 11, 2017

We had a wonderful time at the Willis Graves Bed and Breakfast! We were greeted immediately upon arrival, given a tour of the home and our room, and offered personal cell phone numbers of the innkeepers should we need anything! The area is exceptional, with a park within walking distance and an amazing, high-end restaurant less then five minutes away. They room itself was gorgeous and cozy. It was spotlessly clean, with several amenities. We will absolutely be returning to this wonderful Inn!

Another Stay

5 on April 10, 2017

We stayed here for our honeymoon and liked it so much we returned for out 5th anniversary. This time we stayed in the cabin; it was very well appointed. The breakfast was delicious just as we remembered.

Wonderful accomodation hosted by wonderful people

3.4 on April 03, 2017

We stayed in the Thomas Room in the main house and absolutely loved it! The rustic charm of the home is perfectly balanced with modern conveniences and antique furnishings/art. Breakfast had several options and Nancy is an excellent cook. We will definitely stay again when in Northern Kentucky.

Cozy log cabin

5 on March 29, 2017

A beautiful cabin close to everything but you feel secluded. The owners are wonderful and the breakfast is amazing. We go every year and look forward to many more!!

Experienced Traveler

4.8 on March 27, 2017

By far, the best B & B I have ever stayed with. Fantastic in every respect! Right down to the excellent chocolate chip cookies as a gift, presented on your bed.

Everything and more!

5 on March 26, 2017

We absolutely LOVED our stay a Willis Graves B&B and look forward to staying again next time we're in town! I was surprising my husband with a little getaway so when we arrived they had sparkling apple juice and chocolate cake waiting for us and my husband was just blown away! Also, breakfast was to die for!!

Select Registry Inns rock

5 on March 26, 2017

We stay at Select Registry inns whenever possible and the Willis Grave has made it into our top three. The upstairs room in the cabin was fantastic, the workmanship was top notch. As nice as the facility was, it was Nancy and bob who made our stay special.

Excellent B&B!

4.8 on March 21, 2017

Burlington's Willis Graves B&B was outstanding - the room we stayed in (Mr & Mrs Graves Suite) was finely appointed with period-specific décor, had plenty of space, and overall was just a wonderful experience. Breakfast was spectacular, and the people couldn't have been nicer. Will definitely be back, and very much look forward to it!

An excellent one-night stay!

5 on March 20, 2017

We are generally pretty easy to please in hotels/motels, but everything was beyond our usual expectations.

Heads Above the Rest

5 on March 15, 2017

Our stay at this B&B was extraordinary. It is a beautiful historic looking inn tucked away in a medium sized active city. Both the inn and the city have loads of character. I was particularly impressed with the immaculate state of Willis Graves B&B-the white glove test would pass even the most critical eye - amazing! The innkeepers were wonderful company as well. We will (and have already) be recommending this place to friends. Thanks for making our anniversary so special.

Birthday Celebration

5 on March 14, 2017

Great Personal Service - lots of thought in the room amenities.

Great experience

4.8 on March 07, 2017

The innkeepers are great hosts. They were very attentive and courteous. The bedroom is nice and bed is comfortable. Only suggestion is it would be nice to have a separate A/C unit for the bedroom I stayed in.

One night stay - just what was needed!

4.6 on March 02, 2017

We live nearby and were looking for a chance to relax and reconnect for a night away from home. The suite was beautiful, the bathroom accommodations especially were more than we could have hoped for and breakfast was delicious!

Great Valentine Stay

5 on February 18, 2017

My wife and I stayed from "Valentine's Eve" until the day after Valentine's Day. It was a perfect relaxing retreat with a cozy room, great breakfast, and relaxing atmosphere. It was a great place to enjoy Valentine's Day and relax from a hectic schedule.

Lap of Luxury

5 on February 17, 2017

So tastefully furnished and the fireplace encouraged thoughtful conversation. We enjoyed ourselves so much.

A great get away close to home

4.6 on February 16, 2017

What a great place, Nancy and Bob are outstanding host and very welcoming! Straight to relax mode after checking in, and the breakfast was top notch!

The absolute BEST B&B

5 on February 01, 2017

Nancy and Bob are fantastic! They have a passion for service and an eye for detail and it shows in everything they do. And to top it off the food is terrific!! We will continue to book stays here as it truly is one of the best!

Beautiful Place!

5 on January 23, 2017

We were fortunate enough to stay in the cabin when it was snowing and the view was wonderful! We also got in late and Nancy & Bob were very helpful and gracious with waiting for us to arrive. Definitely would recommend! The cabin suites have sooo much space and are beautifully decorated.

Excellent place, excellent people!

5 on January 20, 2017

Went to Bob and Nancy's property for my fiancé's birthday, it was a truly unique and romantic experience. We had an incredible time, ate some great food, and relaxed in the double whirlpool tub plenty. Will be going back!

Best BnB getaway

5 on January 16, 2017

My wife and I go every year for our anniversary. Hands down the best Bed and Breakfast in the US! We feel like Kings and Queens when we are there, we will never stop going!

A wonderful weekend

5 on January 13, 2017

We stayed this past weekend at the Willis Graves and had WONDERFUL weekend. This is a beautiful inn with lovely furnishings, a warming fireplace, a comfy bed with luxury linens, a bathroom with a jetted tub and a steam shower, every amenity we needed. We didn't even have to ask for a thing as the innkeepers have thought of everything a guest would need. The breakfasts were yummy and we enjoyed talking with the other guests. The inn is convenient to get to, yet located in a secluded setting. We've stayed at many B&Bs around the country and the world and Nancy and Bob are simply the best at what they do. Each time we stay here, we're more impressed than the last time (this was our 3rd).

Holiday Treat!

5 on December 27, 2016

Willis Graves Bed and Breakfast is awesome -- the rooms, breakfast, and inn keepers are all wonderful. Treated ourselves to a holiday respite and enjoyed every moment. Looking forward to next visit.

They get the Bed AND Breakfast very, very right

4.8 on December 26, 2016

PROS: Cool mix of vintage and modern aesthetics. Super friendly staff. Very clean. Room had loads of "nice touches" and features. AMAZING BREAKFAST. Ability to add on things like flowers and chocolate to spoil your significant other. This is a great B&B that gets the Bed AND Breakfast very, very right. CONS: The chocolate strawberry's and flowers were well done. However, the charge for them, in my opinion, was a bit much. I've stayed at other B&Bs and it's been more reasonable elsewhere. This is a very nit-picky thing, though, and again, overall this place is amazing.

Back for another stay!

5 on December 13, 2016

We have stayed here just after Thanksgiving four or five times over the past dozen years of so. We love Catherine's Room. It's small but very comfortable and just right for us. If that wasn't enough, the breakfasts are worth the stay by themselves.

Exceptional Bed and Breakfast

5 on December 13, 2016

I have stayed many times at Nancy and Bob's beautiful bed and breakfast. Our stay this time was just as exceptional as all the other times we have had the privilege to stay here. It always feels like a dream getaway when we stay here. From the cozy, comfy beds to the exquisite bathtubs to the delicious breakfasts you won't be disappointed. I always leave feeling relaxed and and well rested, although leaving is my least favorite part of the experience. This truly is such a special place.

A very nice stay

4.6 on December 04, 2016

I had never stayed at a bed and breakfast prior to this. We stayed in the Mr. and Mrs. Graves suite which was quite spacious. The jacuzzi was lovely and Mary was very accommodating. The only thing I would note is that this suite is directly off of the dining room which made me feel a little awkward, but we didn't really have any issues. The food was excellent.

Innkeeper Response
They are correct, the Graves Suite is in the main house just off the dining room. I can understand how some might agree. However, there are two doors that close the room off back to back. On a totally positive note, the Graves Suite has it's own entrance and the room is totally flat, not one step involved. Entering into the suite you will be in the suites private living room with a gas fireplace. Off the suites living room takes to your bedroom, followed by the private bathroom with a double whirlpool and steam shower. Hope that this description helps. Thanks for the review. Most Sincerely, Nancy Swartzel owner and innkeeper

Fabulous Stay

4.6 on October 08, 2016

We were only here for one short night, but I wish we had more time. It was absolutely beautiful – so relaxing! The service was perfect and the room itself exceeded our expectations. Unfortunately, we left the next morning and we're not able to have breakfast so I cannot speak for the food. But based on everything else I would suspect that is excellent as well. I would go back in a heartbeat!

wonderful stay

Our hostess could not have been more friendly . The room sparkeling clean.

4.8 on October 02, 2016

Bob & Nancy were total hosts. Bob gave us all the maps and directions we wanted and Nancy, well, Nancy, she was just amazing. My kind of person. So much attention to detail and explained everything about our room and beyond. My wife & I are returning to this place ASAP. We had a cabin room and it was all we could wish for and all we could wish for again. We loved everything about this place. We've stayed at numerous B&B's and this is right at the top. We loved Mr No Paws, too.

Beautiful place!

We had not been here for a couple of years and it was even better than our memories. We stay in the cabin and love everything from the whirlpool bath and steam shower to the lounging room and comfy bed. Staying at Grandma's House

4.8 on July 24, 2016

My husband & I, along with my mother spent a week here. We had the two upstairs rooms in the main house. The beds were comfy, showers had great pressure, rooms were very clean, atmosphere was quiet & relaxed. It felt like you were staying at your grandma's house, including the tasty cookies that were left in our rooms each day! The innkeepers were enjoying their vacation while we stayed there; however, everything was left in the more than capable hands of Mary and her helpers.

A lovely retreat

5 on July 13, 2016

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! This B & B is the perfect balance of elegance and comfort. The staff is as sweet as the creme brûlée French toast they serve for breakfast! We chose this place, because it is very near the Creation Museum and the new Ark Encounter as well. We will plan a return visit.

We stayed in the cabin suite for our 5yr anniversary and it was wonderful! This was our first B&B experience and we sure picked a good one. The owners were lovely and we felt right at home. The furniture was comfortable, cabin was in immaculate condition, breakfast was fancy and delicious , and we would definitely stay again . I would highly recommend this place!

Charming, historic B&B

4.4 on June 05, 2016

My wife & I were on our 25th wedding anniversary road trip and this was our first overnight stop. Very pleasant, gracious hosts without being overbearing. We stayed in the Thomas Room which was cozy, nicely decorated, and quiet. An attached modern bathroom was very clean and well-appointed. Breakfast was wonderful with the dining room absolutely charming. Be aware that if you have mobility issues, you will want to avoid the 2nd floor of the inn because the stairs are quite steep and narrow. This is not a criticism. In fact, we found it to be part of the charm of this 1830s home. However, it may be a point the reader may not otherwise consider unless it were mentioned. The cost was comparable to what we've paid at other B&Bs. If you are considering a one night nearby romantic getaway, this is an excellent choice. The Tousey House restaurant nearby is another historic venue which offers fine dining and would nicely complement the experience. Something that struck me as possibly ideal for family gatherings was the log cabin available on the property. Though we did not stay there or even see its interior, my expectation would be that it would be wonderful based on my experience at the inn. The owners are obviously experienced professionals in the hospitality industry.

Willis Graves is the BEST!

5 on June 04, 2016

Best B and B I've ever stayed in. Breakfast is unbelievable. Staying in the log cabin is a must.

Best B&B Ever!

5 on June 03, 2016

We took a 10 day road trip to Washington, DC staying at B&B's along the way and this was the best one on our trip. The warm and friendly innkeepers have made this historic home a labor of love, keeping its vintage charm while including modern amenities. For the full breakfast, we were given a number of options from a menu, just like in a gourmet restaurant. Burlington also had a number of other good restaurants to dine at for our other meals. We would definitely go back there if we travel in that area again.

Wonderful trip!

5 on May 23, 2016

Stayed two nights while in town for work. For the price it cannot be beat. The rooms were clean. Bathroom was invigorating. Nancy made a wonderful breakfast both days. I'll definitely be returning.

Beautiful and peaceful, absolutely perfect!!!

5 on May 21, 2016

Everything was perfect! Hospitality was warm and welcoming! Very clean, inviting and cozy. The Robin nests were an extra bonus. Grounds were breathtaking!!! All was more than excellent!!!

Superb B&B - Was Blown Away!

5 on May 16, 2016

My husband and I absolutely loved this B&B! We stayed in the Mr. & Mrs. Graves' Suite, which includes a living room area with couch, chairs, and a gas fireplace; a bedroom with a large canopy bed; and a full bathroom with an incredible and huge whirlpool tub as well as steam shower. There were delicious cookies and espresso to greet us when we arrived. Nancy was very friendly and helpful, explaining everything we needed to know once we arrived. There is a very peaceful and beautiful patio overlooking gardens and fields which was so relaxing to sit in. It is a very historical building with many authentic antiques so you really feel like you have stepped back in time. The breakfast was phenomenal! I had the creme brulee French toast which was one of the most delicious breakfasts I have had! My husband and I felt so at home here and our only regret is not staying for a longer period of time.

Willis Graves B&B - Thomas Room

5 on May 09, 2016

Nancy and Bob Swartzel, the proprietors, were fantastic. Very welcoming and polite. The Thomas Room was as pictured and located in the main house. It was snug but comfortable. The whirlpool bath was very comfortable. It was deep and designed to sit in at a comfortable recline. The in-room espresso maker was marvelous and convenient with it's Keurig-like espresso cups/pods. There was a large collection of DVD's and access to the kitchen coffee pots. Alarm had a docking station for ipod. The back porch was large with lots of seating options to enjoy the fantastic wooded view. Breakfast was amazing. Truly amazing. Nancy was accommodating of my work schedule as I was there for work travel and I dined a little early with zero problems. I have to recommend the orange marmalade French toast. I dream about it. All in all an excellent value and well situated in a short drive from shopping, dining and entertainment. I'll be back. One note, the stairs in the main house were very steep. It was not a problem for me, but if you have mobility issues, you may want to try for a ground floor room in the other, log building if there is such a room available.

Burlington's Hidden Treasure

we had gift cards from family The inn keepers were wonderful and the room was outstanding. We had a lot of fun in the town and when in the log cabin loved the basement tv room.

Charming rustic B&B

4.6 on April 02, 2016

We had a wonderful stay! The innkeepers are very knowledgeable of the area. They were very helpful with meal and activity information. I truly enjoyed the Eagle Bend Alpaca farm. The animals are beautiful! I would recommend for a relaxing time.

Exceptional rooms and hospitality.

Favorite B&B ever!

5 on March 19, 2016

The innkeeper, Nancy, loves people, and it shows. The dining was gourmet and the accommodations were superb. I cannot recommend this B&B enough.

Had a wonderful time

5 on March 16, 2016

Nancy was the perfect host for a wonderful weekend. She was knowledgeable, friendly, and great company. Beautiful, clean, and comfortable accommodations. We had a terrific time. Thank you for having us!

Amazing accommodation.

5 on March 08, 2016

The innkeepers love people, and it shows in their friendliness and attention to detail. The food was gourmet, and the setting and beautifully unified.

Love this place!

4.8 on March 02, 2016

The attention to detail, cleanliness and hospitality of the innkeepers makes this b and b stand out from the rest. This is truly a special place, especially for couples who need a getaway or to celebrate a special occasion. The breakfast is 5 star and worth the trip itself! Do wish it wasnt quite so costly so we could come back more often. Definitely worth the splurge though. Room note...voices and tv noise to carry through the floors to the upstairs cabin retreat. We had to play soft music to drown out the loud tv to go to sleep. Not a deal breaker for sure but worth noting for future guests.

Innkeeper Response
We are so glad that you liked our place. The cabin has two rooms and you are correct about the possibility of noise traveling. This only happens when someone really turns up the level of the TV or the radio.. Some of our guests even talk louder than most guests so for sure it is possible to hear some noise. It does not happen very often. It helps to close the bedroom door of the Retreat. Sometimes we forget to mention that and in a case like this one sound will travel up the stairs. Thanks so much for the input, we appreciate your concern.. I hope that you come back. Most Sincerely, Nancy Swartzel

Best hospitality ever! Hosts were warm and friendly, and very detailed in the accommodations of their home. We felt right at home and shared pleasant conversations multiple times. The breakfast meals were delicious and more than enough. A truly beautiful home. Will definitely go back for another stay!

this was my first stay at a B&B and I didn't know what to expect. From the moment I walked in the door I was welcomed and felt an at home type of peace. I will be staying there again.

Wonderful as always

5 on February 10, 2016

Nancy and Bob are wonderful innkeepers and do everything to make your stay as fantastic as you could want. Breakfast is outstanding and the antiques and old world charm make this bed and breakfast a nice get away. We have stayed there 4 times now and love it more and more.

Beautiful place and wonderful breakfasts.

We stayed here while visiting family. It was perfectly located. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. The owners are friendly and informative. We will stay here again.

5 on January 28, 2016

We had a great time at this B&B, a much needed break. Beautiful room, we felt very pampered. Delicious breakfast. A couple great restaurants just a couple blocks away. We will definitely be coming back!

A true gem

5 on January 26, 2016

A very nice quaint house with spectacular Inn Keepers who have such a passion for food and an overall relaxing experience.

Always a (re)Treat!

5 on January 26, 2016

Bob and Nancy never disappoint! Stayed in Thomas' Room which was smaller than I usually book but it was well-appointed and quite comfortable for our one-night stay. We had everything we needed to enjoy our quick get-away.

Service Beyond Expectations

4.8 on January 25, 2016

Our Burlington's Willis Graves Bed & Breakfast Inn stay was a great getaway for a night from our everyday life. Being from Cincinnati, it was an easy trip and offered a unique stay in a small historic area.

5 on January 19, 2016

Our favorite bed-and-breakfast by far! Stay there on our wedding night and first year anniversary and plan to do so for years and years to come! My wife and I are both gluten and lactose intolerant, and vegan and they were so willing to accommodate in point us in directions to get a great dinner. not a ton of dining around the area but places like Kroger and other things are available but who wants to go out to dinner when they are at a bed-and-breakfast, am I right? Also for any movie lovers they have loads of them available!

Would stay again.

4.6 on January 16, 2016

This was a very nice place. We chose one of the smaller rooms not realizing there is no common area to sit, relax and read.

Innkeeper Response
Thanks for your input. Once again, I agree with what this guest had to say about the size of the room. They must have been in Catharine's room. Catharine's room is our small cozy room. The only room with a full size bed and only a desk chair for sitting. Other than it's small size it is well stocked with things like a flat screen TV on the wall, espresso machine,a good sized bathroom with a single air jetted whirlpool. When someone makes a reservation we usually tell them about the size of the room. Catharine's room is loved by many of our guests, that come often and only stay in that room, but it is not for everyone. We make it our job to tell any guest interested in that room that it is small and cozy with a full size bed. I'm sure that sometimes , especially when a reservation is made on line the information is not as clear. It's true that we do not have an inside common space. We do however have wonderful porches that are enjoyed by everyone when the weather permits. All of our other rooms have plenty of space for reading, and relaxing. Two of our rooms are suites. I hope that this guest does come back, we will take very good care of them and make sure that they choose a room with plenty of space. We really appreciate the feedback!! Most Sincerely, Nancy Swartzel owner and inkeeper

Lovely Historic Home

4.6 on January 06, 2016

We actually should have chosen a larger room, as the one we were in was more suitable for a single person rather than a couple. The room was very nice and the jacuzzi tub was wonderful ! The porch in back would be grand if we had stayed at a time other than winter!

Innkeeper Response
I agree with this couple. We always let our guests know that Catharine's room is our small cozy room. The only room that we have with a full size bed. We also let our guests know that the room is on the second floor. The last thing that an innkeeper should want is a guest that cannot use step steps or is not comfortable in a small cozy room. I hope that they come back and try our other rooms that are much bigger. Most Sincerely, Nancy Swartzel Innkeeper/owner

A most wonderful stay

5 on September 01, 2015

Greeted by owner upon arrival; she was outside working on landscaping, enjoying the work. Check-in efficient, room and rest of B&B and grounds were impeccable. Excellent recommendation for walking and dinner. One of the top two B&Bs in 20 years.

Innkeeper Response
this is one of the nicest reviews ever. I do enjoy working in the yard and so many times guests arrive and there I'm looking like I need a shower. I know where the weeds are in the yard, this guest might need some new glasses. However I will take the compliment !!! Overall the property does look pretty good. thanks so very much for the kind words. Nancy Swartzel

5 on August 01, 2015

Everything was terrific. We loved the daily cookies and the full made to order breakfast is fantastic.

Second visit was once again fantastic!

4.8 on July 09, 2015

I wrote a lengthier review on tripadvisor.com, but suffice it to say this is one of the best B&Bs we've stayed at, and we've stayed at more than 10. We look for luxury that is affordable and not "stuffy" or full of purple and pink quilts. This place is the perfect combination of cleanliness, great food (breakfast and cookies for a snack), friendliness (while not being too nosy), and luxurious comfort. We'll be back a 3rd time for sure.

Best Kentucky B&B

5 on July 06, 2015

My husband and I stay in B&Bs all the time...and we LOVE this place. In fact, we've stayed in 2 of the rooms in the house as well as one room in the cabin. Loved the cabin! Nancy & Bob are outstanding hosts, and Nancy makes the best breakfasts! We highly recommend this B&B. The Giffords

Lovely rooms. We stayed in the Graves suite. I wish we'd had more time to just hang out at the B&B. Thoroughly spoiled by the in room espresso machine, they even had decaf. Breakfasts were decadent. I highly recommend the orange marmalade and cream cheese French toast.

5 on May 25, 2015

Great Place, Great People Nancy & Bob, Great Food. Best Time Ever.

My favorite bed and breakfast.

5 on May 23, 2015

We have stayed many times at the Willis Graves and I can't say enough how much I love it there. This time I brought my granddaughter there for a special trip before she goes away to college she loved it as much as I did. Nancy and Bob do a superb job. Every thing is perfect. Great breakfast, wonderful sheets and a dream stay all around. I am an innkeeper also and we tell our guests if you need to go to their area that is the place to stay.

Innkeeper Response
Linda is an excellent innkeeper so for us to receive such a great review is an honor. She brought her cute Granddaughter who is getting ready to head off to college. I could tell that they have a good relationship. Not only is Linda a good innkeeper she is a fun Grandma. Thanks Linda for coming to stay with us again. Nancy Swartzel

A beautiful place!

Willis Graves B&B is a great place to stay. Rooms are comfortable and very classy. Right next door to the Burlington Flea Market so great for visitors of that. Staff was very well versed in the area and local restaurants, etc. Will head there again!

Our second stay at W&G B&B was again…Fabulous!

4.6 on May 20, 2015

My husband and I love the proximity of Willis and Graves as it's an easy trip from our home in Lexington. As soon as you see this B&B, you feel like you've just escaped the city life and it's time to relax and refuel. The log cabin rooms are beautifully furnished, the bathrooms have upscale amenities and we appreciate the extra little touches…a tea service, espresso machine, cozy white robes and plenty of plush linens. It's such a treat to feel spoiled for a night or two. Bob and Nancy are pleasantly personal and eager to please. Our breakfast was scrumptious and "just enough." We hope to make a third visit before the year is up!

Exceeded our expectations

5 on May 11, 2015

The welcoming peace and comfort of this home was a much needed surprise for us.

Gold Standard

5 on May 05, 2015

Burlington Willis Graves was our first bed and breakfast experience many years ago. Nancy's hospitality, attention to detail, and excellent breakfast are what keeps us coming back. The only downside to having this be our first experience is that we've held everywhere else to the standards of Burlington Willis Graves and they don't measure up! Can't wait until our next stay.

Highly recommend

5 on April 23, 2015

very clean, rustic in a very modern way, very friendly hospitality, delicious food

A refreshing get-a-way!

5 on April 22, 2015

We discovered the Willis Graves B&B a little over a year ago and have stayed here twice already. Nancy and Bob are wonderful hosts that make you feel at home the moment you arrive. The food is wonderful, the furnishings are beautiful and after a full day of shopping and sightseeing the whirlpool tub is refreshing. Just a great experience that I know we will be visiting often!

Great wedding night stay!

5 on April 15, 2015

My wife and I had just come from getting married a few hours before and when we arrived they were very friendly! The room was clean, very well taken care for, couldn't ask for anything better! The food was superb as well! Highly recommended! (We stayed in the second level in the cabin, I do not remember the name of the room.)

Kentucky Jewel

4.6 on April 14, 2015

The cleanliness and comfort ooze into your skin here. I have awful allergies and we went at pollen time, yet everything was impeccably clean to the highest standard with no perfumes or chemical candle scent layered over top. The historicity and beautiful, special antiques and decor are lovely and interesting. My mom is a history buff and decorator, so I will encourage her to visit because I know how much she would enjoy those aspects. The story of the cabin made me cry; to see the painstaking effort made by the innkeepers- it is a miracle of architecture. Nancy's prizewinning recipes and just glimpsing into her marvelous kitchen was like going on an amusement ride for me. The service was friendly and relaxing as you knew they'd take care of everything. I only wish we'd had more time to enjoy the flowers and plush lounging area on the back veranda. No complaints whatsoever - I'm usually cheap but I think the price is right on target for the value. They could easily charge more.

Fabulous 1st anniversary getaway!

5 on April 13, 2015

We enjoyed staying 2 nights in Catharine's Room and loved every minute of it! Excellent breakfast and we loved the homemade chocolate chip cookies each day, too. We definitely want to come back and try out other rooms!

A Great Northern KY Getaway

5 on March 28, 2015

The Willis Graves Bed and Breakfast Inn is a wonderful place for a quiet getaway and close enough to many big city and rural attractions that you can have the best of both worlds. My upgraded room was lovely with its canopy bed and extra deep Jacuzzi tub. I look forward to going back to enjoy the beautiful patio and grounds. Breakfast was the best! I tried the Crème Brulee French Toast and was not disappointed; it was delicious! Nancy and Bob have been doing this for years and their love of inn keeping and experience is evident throughout this beautiful B&B.

No Words can do Justice

5 on January 19, 2015

No matter how much anyone writes there are no words that can do justice to an experience at Willis Graves Bed and Breakfast. Previously we had been to a place in Gatlinburg TN, which was amazing but for this getaway I wanted something a bit closer to home, thank goodness for my lack of desire to drive! We stayed in the William Rouse Suite and it was truly Heaven on Earth. We were greeted by Nancy upon arrival and we could feel immediately that we were Welcomed into Nancy and Bobs' house. Being that this was our first trip to the properly Nancy explained everything to us down to the smallest detail, you could tell she really wanted us to have a trouble free experience. We got lucky and booked during the week so we were the only guest which worked in out favor because we got to have some very good conversations with both Nancy and Bob. You could really tell that they enjoy what they do and want the guest to enjoy the time there as much a possible. The room was perfect, exceptionally clean and everything in it's place. The bed was very comfortable to the point of not really wanted to get out of it. The whirlpool tub was very nice but the show stopper was the Steam Shower, there are no words to explain how you feel when you take the time to relax in the steam shower. The Tousey House Tavern is just around the corner and a great place to eat, I can see why it is so highly recommended by Nancy and other guest. This is a place we will be going back to time and time again without a doubt. -Rick Campbell

AWESOME Wedding night/Honeymoon stay

5 on January 18, 2015

Outstanding service. Beautiful Antique Character filled rooms/decor. Wife and I stayed there the night of our wedding day and absolutely loved it. Wish we would've been there longer. We had an early flight and they even put some early morning breakfast in our mini refrigerator the night before! Very close to airport (11 min to be exact) Definitely will be returning for an Anniversary!

What a wonderful get-away!

5 on January 16, 2015

The room was beautiful, the service was excellent. Truly a gem in the Cincinnati/Kentucky region. We will return!

A wonderful stay at Willis Graves

4.6 on January 12, 2015

Our stay at Willis Graves was wonderful, the inn keepers were very nice and the house was beautiful. Our room was tiny and cozy, with a comfy bed and nice bathroom. It was above the breakfast room, so if you are planning to sleep in you might want to choose a different room - but if you are an early riser this is the place for you! 10/10 would recommend!

Another wonderful experience at Willis Graves

5 on January 05, 2015

Or favorite B&B by far. Bob and Nancy are so warm and kind. The inn is top notch. They've thought of and provided every detail and luxury! Relaxing and enjoyable.

Perfect Getaway!

4.8 on December 25, 2014

My husband and I came for a quick pre-Christmas weekend getaway from the baby preparations and were NOT disappointed! The hospitality and service was superb. There was not a question or need we had that wasn't met. The DVD selection was amazing and we took full advantage of them! The food, oh the food!! Breakfast was divine! The creme brûlée French toast was THE BEST EVER! And we also loved the gingerbread pancakes. My husband loved the whirlpool tub in our room (Thomas) and the accommodations were super comfortable. It was an affordable, wonderful trip and we're talking about going back for a baby break next year when it's a bit warmer and staying in the cabin. Go! You won't regret!

The Best of the Best

4.8 on December 19, 2014

Everything about this B n B is top notch. The breakfast menu is wonderful, including creme brûlée french toast and other selections that you just don't find elsewhere. The breakfast reminded me of fine New Orleans dining. We stayed in the cabin which had a perfect combination of history and modern luxury. Bob and Nancy are easy to like hosts who obviously pay attention to the details. We highly recommend a multiple night stay so you can try all the selections on the breakfast menu and unwind in the room that you choose. Go for it!

The innkeepers, Nancy & Bob, are truly welcoming, helpful, warm and interesting. The gourmet breakfast Nancy creates is delicious. My personal favorite, her Creme Brulee French Toast and homemade granola with fresh seasonal fruit. Willis Graves has set the bar high for our B&B expectations. We have not found their equal in comfort, ambience, breakfast, location and amenities for the price. Our suite was heavenly, from our private living room and deck to the indulgent double whirlpool & steam shower. The decor is beautiful and interesting. The 1850's cabin our suite is in has been beautifully restored and renovated. The best of both worlds. Nancy recommended a few local restaurants and spa. We loved our couples massage at Sableux, fabulous. The Tousey House Tavern and Bouquet Restaurant were unique, quaint with superior service and delectable food. The Willis Graves B&B definitely remains a favorite of ours for romantic retreats. Can't wait to go back!

Excellent, Relaxing Experience

5 on September 15, 2014

We truly enjoyed our stay at Willis Graves. It was a wonderful place to get away for a few days and not be all that far from home. The owners and staff were exceptional, and you could easily see they truly enjoy what they do. The food is FANTASTIC!!! Thank you for a relaxing weekend we really needed!

Will go back!! Great Stay !

5 on September 10, 2014

We really enjoyed even a one night stay at the Willis Graves house. The room was beyond our expectations, and the breakfast was fantastic! Definitely will go back and try to stay longer.

Enchanting Place to Stay

5 on September 07, 2014

We had a delightful weekend at this B&B. Beautiful, quiet place full of charm. It had all the comforts we needed and a breakfast second to none. Our hosts went above and beyond in helping us find civil war sites to explore. Hope to stay there again some day!

Excellent in Every Way

5 on August 26, 2014

Superlatives in all ways describe the Willis Graves B&B. Owners are terrific folks, food is absolutely top-notch, rooms and facilities are as clean and spotless as any we have ever seen. We would recommend this to anyone anytime!

We absolutely loved our stay in the Cabin!

5 on August 21, 2014

We stayed one night in the suite of the cabin and couldn't have been more comfortable. Nancy was so welcoming, and every touch was thought of - from the steam shower to the in-room espresso machine. We had a wonderful dinner around the corner at Tousey House Tavern, and enjoyed every minute of our stay!

This place is the best of the best!

'Burlington's Willis Graves Bed & Breakfast Inn' Review

5 on August 04, 2014

Such a lovely get-away! Couldn't have dreamed up a more beautiful place to escape to! High end amenities, luxurious linens & bathrobes, steam shower & whirlpool tub, even homemade cookies before bed! Not to mention a breakfast made from heaven! This inn provides all the comforts of home and the elegance of a five star hotel! Our second stay here, and we'll be sure to be back again!

A lovely getaway

4.8 on August 01, 2014

My husband and I came here for a little mini-vacation. We stayed in the log cabin, which I heartily recommend. The room was beautiful: rustic and charming while still having all the modern conveniences you might want. The whirlpool was fantastic. The innkeepers were very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast we were served was absolutely delicious. I'm still having dreams about that creme brulee french toast. Overall the stay was absolutely fantastic. My only real gripe was that we were only left one and a half rolls of toilet paper for our entire stay, and running out at the end of the last day was not super fun. Oh, also the Tousey House Inn was given a glowing review by the staff, but when we went we were very disappointed: mediocre food at sky-high prices. So to sum up: Awesome inn. Order the creme brulee french toast. Skip the Tousey House. The cabin rooms are extra-special if you want some privacy.

Great stay at Willis Graves B & B!

5 on July 28, 2014

My wife and I spent three wonderful nights and days at the Willis Graves B & B. Nancy, Bob, Margaret, and Mary were friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were so delicious and if anyone tells you that "real men don't eat quiche," tell them that "real men eat whatever they want, especially if it tastes good!" The breakfast pie was good and filling. The ginger bread pancakes were tasty too. The back porch was a place of quiet solitude to sit, drink coffee and do some reading. We were there to visit the Creation Museum in Petersburg. Nancy told us how to get there on the back road and we saw the beautiful Kentucky scenery instead of the highway. If we ever have a reason to be back in that area, we would gladly return to Willis Graves B & B. Ron and Bren A.

Perfect Getaway in Northern Kentucky

5 on July 24, 2014

My wife and I and another couple stayed at Willis Graves in Burlington recently. We have not stayed in many B&B's, but this one made a convert of me. It was fabulous. We rented the two suite cabin. The amenities were top flight - very comfortable bed, steam shower, whirlpool bath, etc. Breakfast was to die for! The only problem was that we could not decide what to order. Everything was great. Our hosts were hospitable to the max. We would definitely stay here again.

Best B&B EVER!!

5 on July 18, 2014

Love Nancy and Bob. My Mom and I have been coming here for 15 years and we love it!!! I highly recommend this B&B to anyone traveling for fun or business.

Most beautiful room

5 on July 18, 2014

The cabin rooms are the cleanest and most beautiful rooms we have ever stayed in. We stay at B&B's several times per year and this is the best. Nancy and Bob are great and the breakfast is excellent!!. The Tousey House is very close for dining and the food is great!!

5 on July 02, 2014

My boyfriend and I stayed here for one night on a spontaneous mini vacation. I loved the place before I even got there, based on the website. Nancy was so sweet and made sure we were constantly satisfied and happy. Our room was very clean and I didn't even really worry about bed bugs or other issues. I felt more like I was part of a family rather than just a room. I definitely recommend this place! I wish we could have stayed longer!

Very nice property, nice people, superb breakfast

5 on June 27, 2014

Great Getaway

4.6 on June 26, 2014

This is the second time my wife and I have stayed at this inn for an anniversary and we have been beyond pleased both times. We very much enjoy the rustic appearance of the William Rouse Retreat in the historic log cabin but having all of the modern amenities such as the steam shower, chromatherapy whirlpool tub etc. The cookies are fantastic, breakfast is fantastic and the Retreat is hard to leave once we become ensconced. I haven't stayed in the main house and probably won't as I love the cabin so much but we intend to spend more kid-free overnights here and would recommend the inn to anyone. I only knocked back the star rating on value because according to the key above three stars means it met my expectations, which in this case for my financial situation it's a bit of a splurge but I felt pampered commensurate to my outlay. I have no qualm about the price of my stay, but I tend to be a budget traveler so I am used to hotels and in general not receiving the service or amenities offered by Nancy and Bob at their wonderful inn.

We just keep going back, all the way from Denver, CO

5 on June 25, 2014

We love this treasure of a B & B in Kentucky. Nancy is charming and delightful and she and Bob have created a beautifully decorated and comfortable place. The antiques are artfully arranged and reflect the local history of the area. It's great to have a choice at breakfast and the food is delicious.

Our 52nd Anniversary...

5 on June 25, 2014

This was our second time to visit this B&B and it was even better than our first visit. Our room was large, well furnished, and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast menu had a good selection of items and. even with my food allergies, I was able to have several choices from which to select. The portions were large, served hot, and were delicious! We will definitely return for a 3rd visit at some point.

Fabulous stay!

5 on June 23, 2014

My husband and I just needed a little get away. This was within an hour from home, close to a wide variety of things to do, and offered a great relaxing atmosphere. The breakfast both mornings was wonderful. We had a wonderful time and plan on going back the next time we need a break from daily life.

A bit of heaven in KY

5 on June 16, 2014

If you need a peaceful place to relax and be pampered Willis Graves B and B is that bit of heaven. The entire place is thoughtfully and tastefully decorated. The amenities are so extensive. Books to read, DVDs to watch, luxurious toiletries, plush robes, beautiful gardens, relaxing spaces in which to sit are just a few of the many touches provided to make your stay heavenly. The beds and bedding are lush and so comfortable. The breakfast is beyond delicious and generously served. Guests can chose from a varied menu and the meal is cooked to order and is served on delightful china with white linens in a charming breakfast room. Finally the hosts, Bob and Nancy, make you feel so welcomed and are eager to make your stay just a bit like heaven. It is the best B and B we have ever experienced.

The best bed and breakfast we've been to! Loved it!

5 on June 12, 2014

We just enjoyed our stay so much we're talking about going back for a long weekend! The room was spotless,. It's now our favorite little get away!

Consistently an Excellent Stay

3.8 on June 04, 2014

Over the years my husband and I have stayed here several times and we are always impressed by the excellence of the service and cleanliness at Willis Graves. There's a great mix of antiques with all the modern amenities like steam shower and espresso machine. We spend hours relaxing on the beautiful covered back porch. The staff are excellent and the culinary experience is not to be missed! We hope to stay here many more times in the years to come! It's become kind of a home away from home!

An Outstanding B&B

5 on May 30, 2014

In May, 2014, while on vacation, my husband and I spent two nights at the Burlington's Willis Graves B&B Inn. We stayed in the Mr. & Mrs. Graves Suite. It was absolutely gorgeous. The first day was rainy and cold, so in the evening, we took advantage of the lovely gas fireplace in the living room to get warm & cozy. Nancy had made some fresh chocolate chip cookies for us. When we asked for her suggestion for dinner, she said the Towsey House, less than a mile away in town, was always good. She volunteered to make reservations for us, if we'd like, so we took her up on it and had a lovely dinner. Nancy provides a microwave & refrigerator in each suite, plush robes, wonderful soaps & lotions and the bathroom has a steam(or regular) shower as well as a wonderful soaking, bubbling bath tub. The brealfasts were extraordinary. Guests could choose when to arrive at the breakfast room between 8 and 9:30 a.m. White linens and Johnson Bros. stoneware and fresh flowers dressed the tables. We were each able to select from a menu presented to us of four breakfast entrees. My husband chose Baked Ham & Eggs Crisp the first morning and Creme Brulee French toast the second and enjoyed them both. I selected Gingerbread Pancakes both mornings because they were so good and were easy for me, as a Type 1 diabetic, to count the carbs to determine my insulin needs. Nancy happily provided me with sugarfree syrup, too. We liked this place so much, we both wanted to stay another night! However, we had reservations & committments ahead on the wind-up of our 3 week road trip. My husband and I have stayed at well over 100 b&b s in our 37 years of marriage. Burlington's Willis Graves is tied with two others for first place in our experiences. This is a quiet, restful, beautiful, accommodating place. Be sure to give it a try!!

Our favorite B & B

5 on May 30, 2014

We have been coming here 2 or 3 times a year for the past several years and will continue to do so. It is so comfortable, super clean and has an ambiance that promotes relaxation. We just love the Willis Graves suite with the separate sitting room with comfortable furniture and gas fireplace (especially in the winter months). The breakfast is A+++. The owners have become friends. Nancy and Bob and so friendly and go out of their way to make sure your stay is as pleasant as possible. We love having our wine on the covered patio and the owners often join us for some spirited conversations. Overall, we can't give this B & B a 10. We would have to assign an "11." It is that good! Dick & Judy

Highly Recommend!

5 on May 30, 2014

The owners made you feel right at home. The rooms and breakfast were amazing! So relaxing! I look forward to coming back!

Very nice place. The owner was out of town but the staff was great. I was amazed at the safety planning in place. They have a storm basement in case of tornado and a window ladder in case of fire The house was lovely and food great. Jim

Willis Graves B&B was Fantastic!!

5 on May 09, 2014

My wife and I celebrated our 12th wedding anniversary this past weekend at the Willis Graves B&B in Burlington KY. We have 4 children, all 9 yrs old and under, and we 'rarely,' if ever, get an opportunity to truly relax! Staying at this B&B was the first time in a long time we really relaxed and got to unwind. We would recommend this B&B to anyone looking for a truly valuable and memorable experience! Every detail, from the incredible breakfast our room, was outstanding, clean, comfortable, and beautiful! 10 stars for this place!! We will definitely be returning!!

Loved Kentucky!

4.6 on April 17, 2014

This was our first visit to Kentucky & we only stayed one night at Willis Graves, but felt very much at home. Nancy is a lovely hostess who made us felt welcomed & relaxed. She recommended a fantastic restaurant nearby which made the entire experience even more enjoyable.

Wonderful B&B

The suite was beautiful and the breakfast was fantastic. My favorite breakfast is now the Creme Brulee stuffed French Toast. Can't wait to go back.

Wonderful 1st Anniversary Getaway

5 on April 08, 2014

This place is amazing! We were welcomed at the door and given the tour of our lodging for the night. There were fresh cookies available, and the espresso machine was a nice touch. We stayed on the 2nd floor of the cabin and enjoyed the VERY comfortable queen-sized bed and the spacious bathroom. The owners are very kind, and Nancy is a WONDERFUL cook! My wife tried the Crème brûlée French toast and highly recommends it. She ordered it on both mornings of our trip, she liked it so much! I can heartily recommend the orange marmalade French toast as well as the peach-mango French toast that was not on the menu but happened to be available. The price is also very reasonable for the accommodations, especially for the quality of the room, furnishings, and food! The only complaint is that it is too far away from our home in Georgia to visit more often! Thanks to Nancy and Bob for a wonderful stay!

Loved it!!

5 on April 07, 2014

We could not have asked for a better experience. We stayed in the log cabin and it was so beautiful. There are many bonuses to this place...steam shower, jetted tub, espresso machine, fridge, etc! The customer service is awesome. Bob and Nancy make you feel like you have known them forever!

Just as we expected...fantastic

5 on March 26, 2014

Room was very quiet, remote, clean, wonderfully decorated with great amenities. Food was fantastic with lots of flexibility to order whatever you'd like. I would highly recommend Willis & Graves to anyone. I know my wife and I will be back.

Our first B&B in KY and loved it!

5 on March 24, 2014

I cannot say enough good things about our stay at this B&B. Nancy was so sweet and accommodating to my husband and I along with our children. We stayed in the Graves Room which was very roomy, clean and cozy. Nancy's breakfasts were delicious along with the cookies she baked daily and put in our room. The inn is in the historic part of the city, which was so nice for us. Being from South Florida, we don't get to see too much countryside and this was such a treat for us. This was the first time my children were in a B&B and don't want to ever go back to a hotel! Thanks again Nancy for such a wonderful experience. We will be back!

4.6 on March 15, 2014

We were at the Willis Graves B&B for just one night on our way to Nashville. Unfortunately the weather dampened our visit. Nancy & Bob were very nice & we hope to return so we can see more of Burlington. Just not during an ice storm.

Willis Graves B & B...Expectations Exceeded.

5 on March 12, 2014

Just completed a quick one night stay in honor of our wedding anniversary and could not have been more pleased. The owners and staff were wonderful and made us feel at home right away. We stayed in the William Rouse Suite, which was the perfect blend of historical 1850s cabin, and modern luxury. Breakfast was a treat featuring an amazing culinary experience topped off with lively conversation with staff and other guests. I give Willis Graves B&B my highest recommendation.

What an amazing place! The food was outstanding, and the room was exceptional. And we loved the in-room espresso machine! This is probably the best place in the Tri-State! My wife and I will be back!

A much needed get-a-way with my wife!!!

4.8 on February 20, 2014

Fantastic food, relaxing environment and exceptional service are just a few phrases to describe our time at Burlington's Willis Graves Bed & Breakfast. We arrived several hours late...driving through a snow storm and Nancy was waiting up for us. She never made us feel we were putting her out, but was the standard for hospitality. We have been to many B&Bs, but this is head and shoulders above the rest. It hasn't even been a week since we left and we are planning our next stay there...and the anticipation is great!

always a good time

Perfect 2 night getaway!

5 on November 17, 2013

My husband and I stayed two nights in the William Rouse suite. It was better than we had hoped. We were given a brief, but informative tour of the suite when we checked in (how to use the fireplace, whirlpool tub, steam shower, espresso machine, etc.). Everything was perfectly clean. The bed/bedding was very comfortable and the room itself is very cozy. All the little extras are icing on an already great cake. Robes, espresso, fresh baked cookies waiting for you, wonderful toiletries. Even the hand soap felt indulgent. They also have a large selection of movies to borrow from in the main house. Breakfast begins with fresh fruit and a yummy homemade granola and all of the breakfast options we had were delicious. For such nice accommodations you may expect stuffy owners, but Bob and Nancy are great. We felt really comfortable at breakfast and just chatting with them. It's just the right mix of high end and casual comfort!

We Will Return!

5 on November 14, 2013

Our stay was fantastic and made our 10th Anniversary very special. The room was exquisite-so comfortable and welcoming. Breakfast was outstanding and Nancy was a delight. The Innkeepers know how to make you feel welcome and at home. I can't wait to go back!

We also benefited from some of the historical tourists attractions recommended on the website.

After having all five grandchildren spend the night, I desperately needed to reward myself with a treat and what better way than to go to Willis Graves B&B. I took a book, brought dinner with me, put on comfy pajamas and settled in to one of the cleanest and welcoming rooms I have ever been in. Of course, my very favorite reason for coming is the oh so good breakfast. You can have a little of everything and enjoy it all. What a relaxing time I always have. Thanks Nancy.

A Surprise Birthday Getaway

This B & B was such a great find! I surprised my husband with a couple of nights away for his birthday in Sept. 2013 at Wills Graves B & B. Nancy and Bob made us feel so welcome. The Log Cabin Suite where we stayed was amazing. From a scrumptious breakfast to a library of DVDs from which we could choose to watch a movie, ours stay was fantastic. Nancy's recommendations for dinner at Tousey House Tavern was great. We enjoyed a wonderful meal on the deck on a cool fall evening. For those who do not like cigarette smoke, this is the place to stay. The entire property is non-smoking. That was a huge plus. We'll definitely stay at Willis Graves Inn again.

Willis Graves B & B

3.2 on August 21, 2013

Room was very quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was good with lots of variety. I would recommend that visitors plan on spending at least an hour at breakfast as staff is not going to set any land speed records. Very friendly proprietors.

Innkeeper Response
Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts concerning breakfast. Not sure if the hour was based on arrival time in the dining room or when the breakfast was ordered. When a guest arrives in the dining room it should only take a few moments for someone to greet the guest with a question about coffee, tea or something else to drink. After that we mention the first course of fresh fruit and homemade granola and ask them if they would like juice. The fruit is delivered very quickly because it is ready to go. The menu is on the table when guests are seated so there is plenty of time to review the menu. We offer a full menu, not just one thing every morning. Most of the time our guests come in at different times between 8 and 10 am, it’s very nice to have that option at a bed and breakfast. If everyone comes into the dining room at once things get a little busy but we can still handle 10 guests at once if we need to. Once we take an order we tell the guest that it will take about 15 to 20 minutes. Depending on what is ordered, it could take less time. Considering that we offer a full menu and not just one thing, it does take longer. We make everything fresh. If someone is in a hurry they usually tell us, we ask how much time they have, we tell them what takes the least amount of time. Not every morning in the kitchen goes without a problem but most of the time we are pretty collected in the kitchen. It could be that we were off a little that day. My guess is that on the average our guests spend 45 minutes in the dining room, many of our guests love the whole dining room situation and they are in no hurry to leave. We have been in business for almost 20 years. In all of those years we regularly learn how to improve what we do. We will make a concerted effort to be aware of timing at breakfast. Once again, thanks for the comments. Most Sincerely, Nancy Swartzel Owner /Innkeeper

Perfect anniversary getaway!

5 on August 20, 2013

Charming! In a word our stay to Willis Grave's B&B was charming. The service was prompt and friendly, they gave us every attention. The inn is decorated in an eclectic mixture of antiques and and modern comfort. We stayed in the Willis Graves suit which has a steam shower and Jacuzzi tub for two. We enjoyed our relaxing anniversary get away. The only problem was it was too short of a stay, but we will return to visit again.

Excellent Stay (again)!

5 on August 15, 2013

This B&B is one of our favorite places to go to unwind and relax. Everything is always so clean and well kept, and the owners Bob and Nancy are super nice and very accommodating. The breakfast is always great as well! Will come stay here again soon!

Third Time Back

4.8 on August 05, 2013

Wonderful B&B

Our stay was fantastic. Clean room, friendly staff & wonderful breakfast. Nancy & Bob made us feel right at home. I highly recommend this B&B.

Best B&B ever!

5 on July 30, 2013

We stayed at Burlington's Willis Graves on our way to a reunion in KY, coming from northern Michigan. We love B&Bs, and this was, by far, the nicest we've ever visited. Everything surpassed what we could have wanted and we thoroughly enjoyed the stay...our only regret was we could not stay longer. Great hosts, great food and a beautiful spot in a sleepy little town with a lot more going on that you see at first glance! A must stay spot - try to plan two nights and do some local sightseeing. Best B&B Ever !

5 on July 25, 2013

A perfect retreat to relax. The attention to details is evident in the beautiful rooms, furnishings, and the delicious breakfast. A wonderful experience and I highly recommend this B&B.

Best B&B I have stayed at. Hands down.

5 on July 25, 2013

I wish I could give this B&B more stars. I went on a two day stay to go have some alone time without the kids and husband. It was absolutely amazing! I chose to stay in the smaller Catharine's room because it was just me and the perfect size. The bed was so comfortable and the linens were luxurious. I absolutely loved the bath tub. In the two nights I stayed there, I took three baths. It was the best bath I have ever had. Nancy and Bob were the nicest people you could ever meet. I absolutely loved talking to Nancy and she was such a gracious accommodating host. She reminds me of Diane Keaton in the movie, Something's Gotta Give. She got me laughing and smiling the whole time I stayed there. She truly makes you feel like a long time friend coming back to visit. The décor in this place is put together so well. There is not a single thing out of place. The breakfast...I do not even need to cover. They are so mouth watering and delicious. Check the other reviews. The collection of dvds are impressive! The cookies left on the bed pillow are so yummy, you will crave for more. I want to come back to place. I will come back to this place.

Historic Charm

Nice historic place, very well maintained, great staff and a memorable experience. Would stay there again if travels take me to this area and would certainly recommend it to others.

Loved our Stay

5 on July 21, 2013

Everything about this property was great. The owners were away celebrating the arrival of a new grandchild, but the young hostesses were warm and welcoming. Have stayed at many inns and b&bs over the years and this was definitely one of the nicest!

4.8 on July 18, 2013

My husband and I definitely enjoyed our visit. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, the room was beautiful and had a relaxing atmosphere about it. We even timed our stay right because we had a fantastic view of the IHM Festival fireworks show that night. This B&B is definitely going to have us back there again every year.

Extremely enjoyable

4.8 on July 15, 2013

The service was exceptional, even tho the owners were out of town. We were made to feel as if we were family. The breakfast and service are beyond reproach, and the setting is fabulous. Definitely will stay again when in the area.

Burlington Willis Graves

Our stay at Burlington Willis Graves was great. It was our 13th anniversary. The room was cozy. We relaxed, and rested well following a good dinner at the Tousey House. Breakfast at the B&B was wonderful. I had the gingerbread pancakes and my wife had French toast. Simply awesome.

Can't wait to make a return visit!

Home away from home!!

5 on June 23, 2013

Everything about this Bed & Breakfast is amazing! It all starts with a warm greeting by the hosts, Nancy and Bob, fresh homemade chocolate chip cookies in the room each day, luxurious linens and pillows, robes, the two person whirlpool tub, beauty of the restored antiques everywhere, well kept property and the list goes on. The first class breakfast is second to none! The French toast with fruit filling is better than I could have imagined, the fruit, juice, coffee was the finest! If you''re looking for a bed and breakfast in the Cincinnati area, this is the place to stay!

Willis Graves B&B Review

4.4 on June 22, 2013

We stayed in the log cabin in the William Rouse Suite which was so comfortable and VERY tastefully decorated. The bathroom was like a spa and the suite included all the amenities you could want. It was rustic elegance! We were extremely pleased and now call this our favorite B&B!

Excellent B&B, wonderful breakfast and friendly innkeepers. Altogether an enjoyable experience. Will return.

Second stay

5 on June 13, 2013

The innkeeper, Nancy, is wonderful. We have stayed here twice and plan to stay a third fairly soon. The breakfasts are terrific. Dietary needs are accommodated. There is a pretty good restaurant (Tousey House) around the corner. We stayed in the second-floor room in a secondary building. Great bath...and very comfortable.

Everything was wonderful, clean, beautiful and the food was excellent!

Amazing B&B - Could not have been better!

5 on June 05, 2013

My wife and I stayed at Nancy and Bob's Willis Graves B&B at the end of May and could not have been happier with our experience. The owners went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The room we stayed in was clean and comfortable. The breakfasts each morning were outstanding! I cannot recommend the Willis Graves B&B enough!

Sweetest Berry in the Briars

4.6 on June 05, 2013

Not being a typical fan of Kentucky and the general offerings the state has, I was skeptical. The Burlington's Willis Graves Bed & Breakfast is clearly the exception. If you are in Kentucky for any reason, this is the place to stay. Charming rooms decorated to make you feel that you have been transported to early colonial times, with perfectly placed updates in appliances and bathroom amenities that make your stay very comfortable. The service is attentive from some of the friendliest people you'll meet, and the breakfast is delicious enough to bring even the heaviest sleepers from under their sheets. The Burlington's Willis Graves Bed & Breakfast made the trip beautiful and definitely warrants a return.

Wonderful Experience

5 on May 31, 2013

Great visit to the Willis Graves B&B in Burlington, KY. Room was great and the people fantastic. We'll definitely be staying there again in the future.

Simply superb

5 on May 21, 2013

Stayed one night and left wanting more! It felt like home. The owners were such gracious hosts. The suite was enormous. We had an antiques-filled living room and fireplace, bedroom and spa bathroom. The attention to details and luxury was much appreciated and enjoyed. The breakfast was scrumptious. We strolled the beautiful grounds and learned a bit of history of this historic place and surroundings. Can't wait to go back.

5 on May 17, 2013

An unusual combination of style, charm, attention to detail in their hospitality, and excellence. This place is a standard -- an example of how to to provide a memorable and comfortable experience.

best in country

5 on May 14, 2013

My wife and I have stayed at many bed and breadfast inns in our travels... and this inn is definitely the best. It is at the top because of the quality of their accommodations, the kind hospitality of their service and delicious excellence of their food. Do not miss this experience!

Awesome 1st experience at B&B

5 on May 04, 2013

The stay was relaxing and warm. Nancy was quite helpful for info about the area. Thank you!

Nice B&B.

3.8 on May 01, 2013

We enjoyed our stay. It was a fast drive to downtown Cincinnati (15 mins or so) but felt miles away from the city. I was surprised to see the B&B set close to a side road near downtown Burlington, KY but it didn't cause any issues and we didn't notice any traffic noise (even while in the main house). We stayed in the William Rouse Suite and it was set behind the main house and was peaceful and private. Nancy and Mary are warm and welcoming and I'm still dreaming of the Creme Brulee French Toast and Nancy's Breakfast Pie. Delicious! Also, we had a great dinner at the Tousey House located just a block or two from the B&B.

Wonderful Cabin Retreat

5 on April 15, 2013

This was our second stay at the Willis Graves Bed and Breakfast. It was just as great as the first time, Nancy is the most welcoming and friendly. They bend over backwards to make it the best stay possible and the breakfast is the best!!! We have told everyone we know about the little cottage cabin and the breakfast. It is worth the trip to meet Nancy and the wonderful setting that is offered.

Delightful All Around

4.8 on April 08, 2013

Husband and I were looking for a quick and relaxing getaway to have some conversation sans kids. Burlington's Willis Graves fit the bill. Nancy is amazing and her hospitality shows in the details. Although we stayed in one of the smaller rooms, we were still pampered with yummy cookies, an expresso machine and more. It was cozy and lovely. Right down the road is Idlewood Park, where you can hike and bike to your heart's delight. Around the corner is The Tousey House, a Kentucky-esque dining extravaganza. And, yes, it's perfectly acceptable to dine there every evening. We can't wait to return!

The Best

5 on April 08, 2013

As always, Nancy & her staff have wowed us with the overwhelming attention to detail that is standard here. Many B&B's have nice rooms & yummy food, but don't pay much attention to the details in between. This is where The Willis & Graves launches way ahead of the others. The rooms are luxuriant to the point that we really just want to stay in the room & enjoy it rather than go out & do anything. The breakfasts & service are always top notch. But don't discount all the small details in between. This is the best B&B. Plan ahead, or you may have trouble getting a room.

Heaven in Burlington

5 on April 07, 2013

This place is absolute heaven! Everything is perfection and comfort. Ambiance, decor, food, amenities and peaceful quiet. This is our second stay and we will be back. Sorry we couldn't stay longer. This is one of the best B and B's and we have been to many. Pick the cabin, you will not be disappointed. And don't forget to check out the fried chicken at the Tousey House right around the corner from the B and B. Another delight!

Outstanding Birthday Getaway

5 on April 03, 2013

We were in the cabin excellent accommadations, next time we will have to stay longer.

Perfect, as always

5 on March 31, 2013

We return to Willis-Graves as often as possible because it never disappoints. Nancy and Bob have set the bar so high that although we stay at B&B's often, none have compared to our experiences here. It is our "drop off the grid" place...and we look forward to each and every visit.

So pleasant!

4.8 on March 23, 2013

Nancy is friendliness and service personified. Breakfast is outstanding without being overwhelming. We weren't going to watch a movie, but with 500 to choose from, we did so both nights. This place is neat, sensible, uncluttered, welcoming, and just plain nice.

5 on March 12, 2013

From the lovely rooms to the personal service received, Burligrave was amazing! Would love to stay there again at some point.

SPECTACULAR first B&B experience!!

5 on March 11, 2013

Staying at Willis Graves was an amazing first bed and breakfast experience. From the antiques to the homemade chocolate chip cookies to the dinner suggestions, everything was spot on. Nancy and Bob were friendly and very, very helpful. I would recommend Willis Graves to anyone and everyone!

My husband and I just returned from a long weekend stay at the Willis Graves Inn - it was wonderful! Our room (Mr. & Mrs. Graves Suite) was spacious and comfortable, the service was friendly, and the breakfast was delicious. We are hoping to return soon.

Birthday getaway

5 on February 20, 2013

My husband and I have made several visits to Willis Graves Bed and Breakfast. We are never disappointed! The Inn keepers do not let any detail go unnoticed! So clean, cozy and romantic!

Blew up away!

5 on February 20, 2013

This was our first stay in a B&B and we weren't sure what to expect. Everything about this stay was amazing. We stayed in the William Rouse Suite and the accommodations were comfortable, clean, and beautifully decorated. The amenities were perfect from the steam shower to the espresso machine to the super soft bathrobes. Nancy's freshly baked cookies delivered daily were a nice touch. Breakfasts were phenomenal! There isn't a single part of this trip that let us down except for the fact it wasn't long enough--but that was OUR fault. Next time we won't make that mistake!!

What a wonderful and memorable stay!

5 on February 19, 2013

We truly were delighted with this beautiful property and the delicious breakfast. Though we were only 2 hours from home, we felt like we were a world away. We are looking forward to our next visit to Burlingtons Willis Graves! Peter and Kathie Turke

Perfect alternative to a hotel!

5 on February 17, 2013

With a warm staff, a beautifully appointed room, and spectacular marmalade cream cheese French toast, my stay at Burlington Willis far exceeded a comparably priced hotel. I'll certainly be back next time I'm in Cincinnati for business.

The Perfect Little Getaway

4.4 on February 16, 2013

Unexpectedly amazing food and elegant cozy rooms!

Excellent getaway

4.4 on February 15, 2013

This was our first trip to a bed and breakfast. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We stayed in the Graves suite. The fireplace was great for setting the mood and taking the winter chill out of the room. The whirlpool and steam shower were nice to have also. We will definitely return there in the future. We are northern Kentucky residents, so the location is ideal. It is a great place to get away but still be close to home.

First Time B&B

5 on February 12, 2013

I decided to stay at Willis Graves because of all the great reviews. I can count the times that service has exceded my expectations on one hand. I can't say enough about our experiance at Willis Graves. For a 170 year old home it was warm and cozy on a cold and windy night. At some point while wathcing a movie in bed I realized that I was not at home. Which seemed shocking because that was the way we felt. The breakfast was by far the best food I have ever had. Our only regret was that we could not stay longer due to a tight travel schedule. Even though it is 5 hrs from home, my wife insists that we must come back. We will I'm sure. Thanks Nancy for everything.

Excellent B&B!!

4.8 on February 03, 2013

The room was beautiful and so cozy. The breakfast in the morning was out of this world! I would definitely recommend this B&B!

My Favorite B&B!

5 on January 31, 2013

We have stayed at multiple B&Bs, but we continue to return to Burlington's Willis Graves. We absolutely love the rooms, hospitality, breakfast, etc etc. I can't praise them highly enough.

Will definetely return!

5 on January 09, 2013

Could not have been a better place for our wedding. So nice we plan to return for our anniversary.

Another Excellent Stay!

5 on December 19, 2012

This was our first time back since our initial (incredible) stay at Willis Graves back in January. Last time we were in the cabin suite, but this time we opted for the cabin's upstairs room. Although a bit smaller, it actually seemed to enhance the experience as it seemed a bit "cozier". We will probably go with this room in the future. The interactions with the owners and staff were incredible and of course, the breakfast was amazing. We shall return!

3rd times the charm

5 on December 12, 2012

We just stayed here for the third time and it doesn't disappoint time and time again. We can't wait to come back.

Perfect Getaway

5 on December 10, 2012

I must have read 200 reviews of Burlington's Willis Graves before booking. As outstanding as the reviews were it doesn't do it justice to have experienced it. Everything about this place was wonderful down to the cat with one paw. Nancy made us feel right at home. Thanks for a wonderful time. We hope to do it again soon.

It's Perfect

5 on December 09, 2012

It's perfect, it's always perfect...the cabin is perfect. Nancy's gingerbread pancakes and orange marmalade french toast are to die for. Did I mention that it's perfect?

This is the sixth time for us at the Willis Graves and it is a beautiful experience each time.

Can't wait to return.

5 on November 02, 2012

Willis Graves is now at the top of my favorite B&B list. We didn't want to leave after our 2 night stay. Nancy made us feel like part of her family and she is the perfect host and chef. The best breakfasts we've had. She shared some recipes, too. We like the location which is close to Cincinnati and in a lovely area in KY. We can't wait to return to Willis Graves.

Burlington's Best

This is our second time and Willis Graves B&B and I forsee this being a annual trip. The locale appeals to all ages, etc. You have the aspects of the city but the quietness and serenity of the country. From shoppers to hikers, all can be found. The facility is excellent and worth every penny. The staff is wonderful and it is always a pleasure to stay!

"Best Ever Room"

5 on September 20, 2012

My wife and I stay at B&B's about 6 times per year and this was the best by far. Although we have stayed in some more scenic areas we have never had a room this nice and this clean. The real authentic log cabin combines old world charm and decor with modern and comfortable amenities. It is very very nice!!

5 on September 17, 2012

This was my second stay and it was just as great as the first time. The room was gorgeous and everything was perfect as ecpected. Nancy and her staff were so gracious and awesome as ever. I cannot wait to come visit again and stay for more than just one night! Thank you again for everything!

Dream Date

4.8 on September 17, 2012

We have come here annually for the past 5 years. In the past we had always stayed in the cabin. This year we stayed in the Willis Graves Suite and it was fabulous. Now we have a tough decision to make before our next visit. What we know is you can't go wrong it is a great place to stay, no matter where you book your stay.

Great B & B and location

5 on September 16, 2012

The bed and breakfast was very inviting. We stayed in the cabin and it is so quiet and private. Loved having a second room in which to relax. Breakfast is served anytime the guest wishes between certain hours and there is a menu from which to choose your items. Nancy is extremely helpful in finding interesting things in the area. The location is great for anything a person would want to do in Cincinnati or Northern Kentucky.

Awesome experience

5 on September 10, 2012

Our stay was so pleasant and relaxing. The log cabin room was so tastefully decorated and clean. The homemade cookies waiting for us were delicious. The staff were very congenial and helpful. The breakfast was supurb. I would recommend this B&B to anyone.

We enjoyed a lovely weekend in the Willis Graves Suite. The food was wonderful with a delightful hostess.

Beautiful and comfortable

5 on September 03, 2012

My husband and I recantly spent a night at Burlington's Willis Graves B&B. It was a wonderful restful stop at the end of a long road trip. the innkeeper greeted us before we even got to the door and made us feel at home immediately. We stayed in the Willis Graves Suite which is roomy, comfy, and very clean with a fantastic shower that we were most grateful for. Coffee was ready for us early the next morning with a very tasty and filling breakfast soon after. If our travels ever bring us back to this area we will definitly be staying here again.

Food was fantastic but expected more from room.

3.6 on August 27, 2012

We stayed in the room above the dining room., Caroline's room. Perhaps it had been awhile since someone had stayed in this room but it was rather musty. I had a hard time sleeping with my allergies. Other than that the room was small but bed was comfy. Food was excellent and Hosts were extremely friendly.

Innkeeper Response
I was sorry to read this review and wondering where the musty smell was coming from. There is a small fireplace in the room that is not used and sometimes old fireplaces can smell like an old house, some people like the smell and some do not. If it was not the fireplace I would love to know what it was. I did some work on the windows in both the bedroom and the bathroom , painting was involved.Sometimes rooms do go unoccupied for a few days but when a room is booked we look for dust or in general look for anything out of place, any kind of smell would be at the top of the list. Most Sincerely, Nancy Swartzel

We stayed in the Mrs. and Mrs. Graves suite and were very impressed.

Nice place to stay

3.8 on August 16, 2012

Stayed in the Retreat for our 1st B&B experience. Clean, quiet, well-maintained, home away from home in a log cabin atmosphere. Nice cable TV and large selection of DVDs. Relaxing double jacuzzi with lights. Good breakfast, accommodating to special food needs. Friendly staff.

The benchmark for perfect hospitality

5 on August 08, 2012

This is the best B&B we have ever stayed at and we have stayed at quite a few. Without a doubt they could write the book and outstanding service, cleanliness and value. The beds are the best and most comfortable we have experienced and the breakfast is great. I guess what impressed me most was the sheer elegance of the place and the hosts were so wonderful and down to earth. Treat yourself and stay here for sure.

Anniversary Stay #2

4.4 on August 04, 2012

This was our second stay. We have stayed in the suites previously but opted to stay in the retreat this time. Definitely hard to downsize after being in the suite. Will return again next year for our anniversary and splurge on the suite!

Couldn't be better

4.8 on July 24, 2012

We'd never been to the Cincinnati area, and are glad we stayed here. Close to Cincinnati but a nice quiet area. Loved the rooms, wonderful breakfast, and the owners and staff were great/ helpful.

Willis Graves: Beautiful rooms, great people, pancakes that trump all else

5 on July 23, 2012

I had a wonderful time at Willis Graves. I am hopeful to return to experience a stay in the lovely little cabin separate from the home. The innkeepers are gracious hosts who go out of their way to make you feel at home. But it truly is the pancakes that I can't get out of my head. If nothing else, they will ensure a return visit.

The Best B&B to date!

5 on July 21, 2012

Nancy & Bob have created an unbelievably detailed place in all categories. The main home renovation was not only done right, but decorated very nicely for the period architecture. The log cabin is simply the best of both worlds...old world character and high quality finishes, with modern comfort to boot! This is simply one of the best, and we would recommend this stay for anyone who appreciates the quality craftsmanship and excellent hospitality! Oh yes, and the food....excellent!

Best B&B ever!

5 on July 17, 2012

Great romantic feel, wonderful food, and super friendly service! You will leave relaxed, but wishing you would have booked your trip twice as long!

Just as Good

4.6 on July 13, 2012

This was our second visit to this B+B and it only confirmed why we chose to come back a second time. Everything was just as good if not better than the first stay.

Our 40th Birthday Get-Away

4.6 on July 11, 2012

My wife and I stayed in the Mr. and Mrs. Graves Suite and it was gorgeous. Everything was clean and it was beautifully furnished. The breakfasts were incredible; absolutely 5-star cuisine! The greatest part of our stay, though, was the service. Nancy makes sure that you have everything you need and completely pampers you. We loved everything about it. It was the perfect weekend.

Yet another stay!

5 on July 08, 2012

This was our 6th visit to WG ... passing throgh on a vacation trip. The service and ambiance have always been top notch ... we B&B often ... this one is our favorite!

Willis Graves was an excellent place to stay. Old fashioned decor with modern amenities

4.4 on July 07, 2012

We loved staying at the Willis graves B&B. Loved the decor and cleanliness. Breakfast was delicious. I also really liked the modern spa tub and steam shower. You had the comfort of home but felt like you were back in the past. It was a wonderful retreat away from the kids.

Birthday Surprise stay......

4.4 on June 25, 2012

Our recent stay at this B & B was great! This stay was a surprise gift for my husband. We were delighted with the cabin suite and all its great amenities. The staff and breakfasts were excellent! We will definitely recommend this B & B to our friends.......

Stay at Willis Graves B & B Burlington, KY

5 on June 24, 2012

Our experience was fantastic and would recommend this B & B to anyone Scott & Lisa

Peaceful perfection

5 on June 21, 2012

Our room was a nice sized suite - a sitting room, a bedroom and a bath. Everything was neat, spotless and in good order. I never heard a sound from any of the other rooms, so either the other guests were quiet and/or the house is solid and well sound-proofed. The sitting room was comfortable with a nice TV and books placed around. The largest selection of DVD's I've seen in a residence were available. The bed was comfortable. Temperature control for our suite was in our suite. The shower and whirlpool were great. The owners and helpers were friendly. We choose what time we wanted breakfast and had choices of fruit and main dish. The creme brulee French toast and the breakfast pie were delicious. The grounds were well maintained. We did drive past it the first time because the sign is small. We have stayed at 20+ B&B over the years and this one is one of the best. We honestly can not think of anything to criticize.

will go back again

5 on June 15, 2012

A really nice place to stay. Good value and really felt welcomed.

Willis Graves B & B

5 on June 13, 2012

What a great experience for our first stay at a B & B. The Willis Graves B & B was a great mix old and new. Old classic home with antiques complete with fully updated baths. The breakfasts were wonderful. Great hospitality and a great location in Northern Kentucky. Looking forward to a future visit.

Nothing disappointing about THIS place!

4.8 on June 12, 2012

We came for our anniversary, and had such a wonderful time. Our accomodations in the Willis Graves Suite (first floor level of the log cabin) could not have been more comfortable, clean, and luxerious. The Bathroom accomdations were especially enjoyable, with the double-size tub, and steam shower. The Breakfasts were everything that was anticipated from reviews we'd read, and we enjoyed dinners at the Tavern in town. Thanks for an outstanding retreat, Bob and Nancy!

Willis Grave's B&B~ worth the trip!

5 on June 10, 2012

This was our second stay, and we absolutely loved it again! We look forward to a 3rd stay someday in the future and would without a doubt recommend it to anyone as a romantic getaway.

My Wonderful Long Weekend

5 on June 09, 2012

Arrived in the late afternoon to a hardworking Nancy in her garden. I immediately felt welcomed and at home. After a brief tour and getting my key I arrived in my room - Catherine's Room - just the right size for one and could easily work for two. The room was bright and airy and charming. The bath was amazing - very nicely appointed, clean and roomy. The homemade chocolate chip cookies on a plate on the bed were soooo good. I looked forward to them when I came back from my day trips. The breakfast Nancy served in her lovely dining room was out of this world. I was lucky to stay long enough to sample just about every combination. Enjoyed some relaxing time on the covered deck with some very good coffee and some very nice people staying at the B&B also. Hated to leave...but will be back in the fall for another wonderful stay. Very highly recommend this B&B.

Perfect Experience at Burlington Willis Graves B&B

5 on May 31, 2012

We loved our time. The inn keepers were delightful and the rooms were beautiful, clean, and comfortable. Our food was delicious and the homemade cookies left on the bed each evening was the icing on the cake. This was a perfect restful stay for my husband and I on our anniversary. Thank you so much!

Willis Graves review

5 on May 30, 2012

Excellent establishment close to Cincinnati

Great Experience

4.4 on May 28, 2012

We stayed in the William Rouse Log Cabin Suite. I loved the homey rustic atmosphere, but with luxurious amenities. Nancy is one of the best innkeepers we have ever met. She made us feel very welcome. Breakfast was absolutely delicious both mornings. Would definitely like to go back.

Great getaway

5 on May 28, 2012

Very pleasant surroundings.. Great selection of local reading material. Relaxing and as private as you want it to be. Hosts and staff very friendly and helpful. We've already recommended it to my son.

Graves Suite: Our second time here!

4.8 on May 25, 2012

We love coming here. The inkeepers and staff are very nice and breakfast is always delicious. The bathrooms are what attracted us the first time and help keep us coming back. The steam shower and whirlpool tub are so relaxing. I wish the beds were softer. If the mattress wasnt so firm I would give he room a 5 star rating. Other than that we have no complaints!

Absolutely perfect. We would return in a second.

5 on May 23, 2012

We found the rooms tastefully decorated with antiques, clean, and very comfortable. The food was divine. The Swartzels are friendly but not intrusive--the perfect hosts.

Anniversary Get Away

4.4 on May 21, 2012

My wife and I like to go to BnB's quite a bit. In looking for a place for our anniversary, we landed on Burlingotn's. This place was great, from the BnB itself to the town it was located in. My wife and I absolutely loved the town. If I was to have one complaint, and this is more a preference then a complaint, is that I enjoy it when we are all at 1 big table and able to meet the other guests. If you like having a table to yourself then ignore this last statement :) The food was extraordinary and the inn keepers were a pleasure to talk to. We have already recommended this place to some of our friends.

Wonderful place to stay

4.6 on May 16, 2012

This was a perfect place to stay. We thoroughly enjoyed our room which was clean, cozy, and charming. The owners were lovely - very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed during our time there. Would definitely recommend this B&B.

Exquisite escape!

5 on May 10, 2012

Our stay was met with every detail accounted for.

A Stay in May

5 on May 08, 2012

Absolutely wonderful!!! Nancy is an excellent hostess who pays attention to every detail as well as her guests every need. I stayed in the small room above the dining area... very quaint and cozy... SO clean. Breakfast was above and beyond most B&Bs that I've stayed in. I'll be dreaming of my French toast left behind for months! The entire home is lovely beyond words.

Happy Honeymooners

5 on May 05, 2012

This Bed and Breakfast was FANTASTIC!!!! Perfect for our first night together as husband and wife. We woke up super early to the bird singing outside and had coffee on the porch. The breakfast was amazing, I have been telling all my friends they HAVE to go! I even dropped my earring down the vent in the bathroom and Bob went and fished it out. I will definitely be back and have already referred several couples to go there as well.

Great get away if even for just a night!

4.4 on May 01, 2012

We spent a night away from the kids and really enjoyed it. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the room was very clean and well set up. Breakfast in the morning was pretty good. The marmalade stuffed french toast was quite good, but the breakfast pie was a little runny. Overall, while the B&B was a little on the higher side, we definitely enjoyed staying there and will likely do so again in the future.

Bed and breakfasts from now on.

5 on April 29, 2012

My wife and I loved this place. The place was beautiful and the rates are good. The breakfasts were really good. The people are friendly. We will definitely stay here again next time we are in the area.

A Great Stay!

5 on April 26, 2012

This was our 4th visit and every bit as good and wonderful as the other three! I highly recommend.

The nicest b&b we've ever stayed at.

5 on April 23, 2012

Very nice owners and the cleanest place we've ever stayed at. Staying here is a must if you're in the area!

Amazing as usual!

5 on April 21, 2012

Burlington's Willis Graves B&B is our absolute favorite place after visiting 20+ inns over the years. It just doesn't get any better than this! Nancy and Bob have created such a luxurious oasis - my husband says we are spoiled and nothing else compares after the pampering experiences we experience at their inn. We will be back!

Wonderful Kentucky Hospitality

5 on April 19, 2012

We stayed for three nights at the Willis Graves B&B, and then on a separate night about a week later. Our suites were located in the charming log cabin apart from the main house. Both times that we stayed we felt like we were "home." It was so comfortable and spacious with luxurious amenities. Our hosts, Nancy and Bob, could not have been any more hospitable. I felt that we left some good friends when we finally had to say goodbye! I would highly recommend this bed and breakfast and hope to return sometime soon.

A perfect getaway!

5 on April 15, 2012

Our experience at the Burlington's Willis Graves B&B definitely exceeded my expectations. The property is beautiful and well maintained, the hosts are friendly and well informed. But, it is not until you experience their breakfast that you are thankful that you stayed at a B&B. I am not a lover of breakfast foods, but this meal was deliciously heavenly! I will recommend this Inn to anyone and everyone! They truly deserve every "outstanding" rating that I gave them. My personal piece of advice....when you make your reservation, request the cabin on the 2nd floor!

Awesome time at Burlington Willis Graves

4.8 on April 04, 2012

This was our second visit and enjoyed our stay very much again! Nancy and Bob are wonderful owners that make sure your stay is fabulous! I highly recommended staying here if you want to be close to the Cincinnati area. Very close and a great restaurant around the corner from the bed and breakfast.

4.8 on February 01, 2012

This was our second stay at Willis Graves. We stayed in the Willis Graves Suite and were more than pleased. The fire place was perfect on rainy night... and we enjoyed the bathroom as well... Nancy and Margaret have exceptional service and the food is to die for. They allowed to mix and match the breakfast menu to our liking. They recommended a local dinner restaurant which was phenomenal as well. We plan to return very soon for another night!

January Stay

Our Favorite Getaway!

This has become our favorite getaway! It's not far from where we live, Bob and Nancy make you feel like old friends and go the extra mile to make your stay comfortable. The cookies waiting on your pillow are a nice touch.

THE Best place to stay in the Cincinnati Northern KY area

5 on January 09, 2012

Thank you Nancy!! We were blown away by the hospitality at Willis Graves B and B. The rooms are beautiful & full of amenities with the utmost care given to every single detail. Everything was perfect from the homemade chocolate chip cookies when we arrived to the last drop of coffee as we headed out the door. We didn't want to leave & can't wait to stay again! I love this property! We have stayed at Willis Graves three times now, and plan to visit again. I love the food!!

Best & Most Romantic Stay

4.0 on January 04, 2012

My husband and I chose this B&B because it had everything we wanted: Fireplace, privacy, HUGE tub, seperate steam shower, private porch, and romance. It was our first time away from our baby in a year! This place exceeded our expectations by far - the owners were so sweet and accomodating and boy can they COOK! The breakfast was amazing! Next time we are in the area visiting family, we will be staying TWO nights, not just one. Thanks so much! J&A from Houston, TX

Great Anniversary Weekend

5 on December 21, 2011

Everything from the room to breakfast to the hospitality was wonderful. We took advantage of having a massage therapist come to our room to give me and my husband massages. It was definitely the respite we needed. The only thing that could have made it better was if we could have stayed more than one night. We will definitely tell our friends and hopefully will get the chance to come back.

An outstanding experience!

4.8 on December 07, 2011

We stayed in the Willis Graves suite for a weekend birthday getaway. We got massages through Adrienne and she was perfect. Nancy made the most amazing cake that was left in our room to enjoy when we liked. It was exactly what you need for a short getaway!

Great place for a romantic getaway!

4.6 on December 06, 2011

The William Rouse Retreat is the perfect place for a romantic getaway. The room was cozy, the bed was very comfortable, the robes were soft, and the steam shower and big tub were awesome. The suite had all the charm and ambiance of a romantic cabin with all the comforts of a modern hotel room. Between decorations and the log walls, there were a million places for dust and spider webs, but the place was spotless. The food wasn't what you expect from a b&b, but it wasn't bad either.

A getaway to heaven

5 on December 05, 2011

This was our second visit in 3 months staying in the cabin suite. Beautifully decorated, elegant but so inviting and comfortable. The double spa tub is pure decadence and the steam shower simply wonderful. Nancy and Margaret are such wonderful wonderful kind and lovely gentle ladies. The food is wonderful, cooked to perfection and they are so good at spoiling us. We will come back as many times as we can. Little Burlington is close to everything you could want - a quick drive to Cincinnati, concerts, steamboat dinners, the huge aquarium at Newport, horse races, beautiful Kentucky countryside and a wonderful night skyline on the Ohio River is just minutes away. I love this bed and breakfast, everything about it is perfect. Five stars from us.

Great Room!

4.0 on December 05, 2011

We stayed in the log cabin suite. The room was very clean and comfortable. We did not use the downstairs living area and I'm guessing it doesn't get used very much. The Inn sits close to the road and is on a small piece of land. For some reason I pictured it to be on a large lot. Breakfast was very good and our dinner at Tousey House was excellent. We never saw the owners of the Inn but the caretakers who were there were very nice and accomodating.

Homey and welcoming

4.6 on November 29, 2011

I stayed just one night while traveling through the area. I was greeted warmly and given a choice of rooms (since they were not full; it was a nice touch). Proprietors were very friendly and helpful, and the room was pleasant - roomy and warm, and the bed extremely comfortable. Would definitely stay again if ever in the area.

Had a wonderful stay

4.4 on November 15, 2011

Just surprised my wife for our 4th year Anniversary. We had a wonderful time, the service was great and friendly. Little more pricey than other B&B's around the area but it was well worth it. Breakfast was great! Only wish I could have had seconds. We stayed in the Willis Graves suite, the steam shower was amazing as was the 2 person spa tub. I would definitively stay again.

Best romantic getaway EVER!!!

5 on November 09, 2011

Far exceeded our expectations .no sooner than getting back on the freeway home, we were making plans for our stay for next year. We would recommend this place to our friends but we don't want to compete with them when we are looking for dates open..ha

Best Value in Town

5 on November 03, 2011

Our third sty at Burlington Willis Graves. You could not ask for a more congenial and acoomodating Inn Keeper. Nancy goes that extra mile to help you find what you are looking for and the accomodations are second to none. Certainly a great value for the money! We look forward to our next stay.

A Kentucky Vacation

5 on September 20, 2011

We made reservations only a week in advance and were able to book the upstair room of the cabin. What an excelent B&B. We have stayed at more than 20 different B&Bs over the years and Burlington's Willis Graves Inn is certainly one of the best. We especially loved the breakfast. The Inn keeper (Nancy) was very nice and helpful in finding local activities. The double tub was great. We'll be back again.

Eye Candy Paradise

4.8 on September 04, 2011

My husband and I stayed here after dropping off our son at college and becoming 'Empty Nesters'. The Inn is as quaint as promised and a collector's dream. The perfect place for the antique lover with an occasional outdoor antique market going on right down the road. Great and playful collections are tastefully displayed everywhere and keep your eyes wandering. Nancy provides a very welcoming atmosphere where you feel you can be as private or public as you wish. We stayed in Mr. and Mrs. Graves suite which is the perfect culmination of the old and the new with luxurious linens and a state of the art bathroom. We could choose to sit on a private porch or sit on the communal porch on the back of the house. We did both. I guess Nancy is a natural innkeeper. She is a vibrant, fun and outgoing person who makes you feel at home immediately. The women that help her were carefully chosen, I am sure. Breakfast was amaaazing. I am so looking forward to our next stay and try out the room in the cabin. We will be back!

A Wonderful Stay!

3.4 on August 15, 2011

We were only able to stay one eveining and had to leave early the next morning, but this is a wonderful place. Nancy was very accommodating to prepare an early breakfast. We consider B&Bs to be special lodging and have high expectations for them to be clean and nice and, well...special. Burlington's Willis Graves Bed & Breakfast Inn fully met our high expectations. We would love to stay here again when we visit the Creation Museum.

This is a 5-star b&b!

4.4 on August 11, 2011

We stopped at this b&b for one night on a trip between NC and IL. We will definitely make this b&b a regular stopping point on future trips. We stayed in Thomas' room. The room was very charming and romantic. The bed could not have been more comfortable and the linens were luxurious. The bathroom attached to this room, while not huge, was adequate, definitely high-end and very spa-like. The shower was amazing! The breakfast here is what you would expect from a nice b&b. What is unusual though is you have a menu with a few different selections to choose from. The hosts were very friendly and concerned about your comfort and enjoyment while there. I'm trying to come up with a reason to drive to IL sooner rather than later so I can stay there again.

The Best...

5 on August 09, 2011

Burlington Willis is simply the best! From the reservation to check out! We have stayed at several Band B's, but nothing stands out like B.W. Thank you for all the wonderful stays.... Pam and Mike

Wonderful Stay in the Retreat Room

5 on August 03, 2011

We had a wonderful weekend stay in the Retreat Room. The bathroom was like a spa with the air jet tub and steam shower. The room was very comfortable and relaxing. 3.8 on July 27, 2011

Nancy was most accommodating and informative. Their extensive collection of DVDs was nice. Breakfast was truly outstanding; it's rare that a B&B offers multiple choices on breakfast entrees, and there were several good choices.

Great Stay

5 on July 24, 2011

Great Stay at the Willis Graves B & B! The inn keepers gave us great ideas for fun daytime activities (hint: don't miss the drive to Rabit Hash!). Breakfast sooo good! Room - perfect and loved the colored lights in the jacuzzi bath tub - makes for pink/blue/green bubbles! Perfect - would stay there again!

Our Favorite Get-a-way!!

4.6 on July 22, 2011

My husband and I have celebrated every wedding anniversary here at the Burlington's Willis Graves Bed and Breakfast! We always feel extra pampered by Nancy, the innkeeper, and her staff. As always, this stay exceeded our expectations!

Tranquility at it's best

5 on July 13, 2011

It's always such a treat to get to return to Willis Graves. The Innkeepers, the grounds, the accommodations, and the food are extraordinary. It's as if you step into a little fantasy world and forget about the real world. It's immaculate, luxurious, friendly, and relaxing. I just can't say enough about this little piece of heaven!

Two Night Retreat

4.4 on July 11, 2011

Everything about our stay was very confortable as the hosts were very friendlyand accomodating. The Willis Graves Suite contained a lot of period furniture which created a very nice atmosphere but was not particularly confortable in the living room. The bed was confortable and the two person whirlpool was a nice touch. We particularly liked the spacious back porch in the morning with coffee and the afternoon with a cocktail.

Can't Wait to Return

5 on July 06, 2011

This was to be my second visit to Burlington's Willis Graves B&B, but my husband ended up in the hospital the day before our trip. He was ok, but couldn't travel, so I sent another couple in our place. Nancy took great care of them, as she did of me last summer. The home is beautiful; the rooms are wonderful and the food is great! We can't wait to return.

Favorite B&B

4.8 on June 21, 2011

If you love B&B's you won't be disappointed with Burlington's Willis Graves accomidations. Everything is there that you need for a wonderful stay. They pamper you from the moment you get there with fresh chocolate chip cookies, a wonderful jacuzzi tub and luxurious room. If you also like antiques, this place will take your breath away and they are also located right beside the Burlington Fairgrounds that has antique shows one a month. The breakfast is out of this world with items you probably have not eaten before. I have stayed there the last three years on my anniversary, and it's been wonderful each time. I can't say enough wonderful things about this inn..... it's a must visit.

A memorable experience

5 on June 20, 2011

We celebrated our 49th anniversary at Willis Graves B&B. Even though we live close, we had heard so much about this B&B that we decided to give it a try. We were definitely not disappointed. We have stayed at B&B's throughout the U.S. and this was by far the best! We stayed in the log cabin. The acommodations were immaculate, the food was delicious and Nancy, Bob and Margaret were very hospitable and easy to talk to. We have reservations to go back next month and are taking another couple with us. We would highly recommend this B&B. Judy and Rich

Beautiful, relaxing, friendly

5 on June 20, 2011

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon (4 nights) in the Mr. & Mrs. Graves suite. It was gorgeous! Nancy was very friendly and helpful, but also allowed us to do our own thing for the week. We will definitely be going back. :) Very clean, delicious breakfast, comfortable atmosphere.

Wonderful Weekend Get-a-wa

Very friendly owners and staff, nicely decorated rooms, relaxing atmosphere and absolutely wonderful breakfast. First rate and very reasonably priced.

Wonderful getaway.

The upstairs cabin suite is beyond cool. Great place for relaxation and romance. My wife and I have already recommended it to three couples in our circle of friends.

Wonderful Experience!!!

4.8 on June 13, 2011

We made plans to stay at Burlington's Willis Graves Bed and Breakfast Inn so that we could meet friends who were visiting the area from Arizona. This was the perfect choice for such a meeting. The facilities accommodated the opportunity to relax and visit with friends. Our room was a roomy suite that was most comfortable for a group and the porch was very comfortable. The rooms were exceptionally clean and the breakfasts were outstanding. The Tousey House restaurant offered a wonderful menu, great wine selections, a most comfortable atmosphere and value! We chose to have out lunch and dinner meals there. The surrounding parks are also very nice. The only downside is that the town of Burlington doesn't have much to offer.

Blown away

4.8 on June 06, 2011

The room, service, location, everything was incredible. Breakfast left us begging for recipes. Could not recommend it highly enough. We'll be back soon!

My wife and I found this B&B searching the internet and decided to try it out. We have never stayed at a B&B before, and this wont be our last time. We really enjoyed our stay; the room was great, and the food was great.

Comfort and Hospitality

5 on May 19, 2011

Wonderful bed and breakfast! Room was beautifully decorated and so comfortable, great night sleep! Nancy made us feel welcome from the phone reservation to her greeting at the door when we arrived. Breakfast was terrific and Margaret was so sweet and breakfast service was great! The home has been meticulously restored and a quick visit to peek at the outside cabin was amazing! Would highly recommend this inn and we are anxious to plan a trip to be able to visit again. Thank you Nancy, Bob and Margaret.

A very pleasant experience in a well kept Inn. We would not hesitate to return in the future.

One of the very best B&B's we've stayed at.

5 on May 01, 2011

Staying at the Burlington Willis Graves B&B was one of the very best that we have stayed at. Nancy is the greatest as an Innkeeper! The food was exceptional and the outdoor patio was most relaxing. We would strongly recommend this B&B to others and plan to return ourselves.

Rainy week-end!

4.8 on April 27, 2011

Wow what a great way to spend a rainy weekend. We had a great time at this charming BB. They had some homemade cookies in our room when we arrived that were soooooo good! We had a nice relaxing jacuzzi/bath, then we cuddled in front of the fireplace with a glass of wine.

Lovely and Welcoming!

My husband and I stayed here on our way to Kentucky. We were impressed by Nancy's friendliness and loved the chocolate chips cookies that awaited us that evening. Breakfast was excellent. I only wish that we could have stayed longer!

Wonderful Get Away

5 on April 24, 2011

We had a wonderful time at Willis Graves! The innkeepers and the people who work there are so friendly and helpful. My husband and I are only 24 and we were concerned that we might feel out of place, that was not the case at all though. Not only were the prices reasonable for a young couple wanting to enjoy some time together, but the innkeeps and the guests were very embracing. We were actually late getting out one day because we ended up staying in the dining room talking with other couples and Nancy for over an hour! Our favorite part of the night was sitting on the back patio playing board games, drinking coffee, eating some of Nancy's wonderful cookies, and talking with another guest of the B and B. We are planning on getting my parents a gift certificate so they can enjoy this place as well.

Wonderful Experience!

5 on April 23, 2011

We had a wonderful time and felt very cared for. They've done a great job, and we will definitely be back.

Another Perfect Getaway

5 on April 03, 2011

Nancy and Bob once again have set the bar so high that no other inn can compare with this one. It is the perfect quiet, clean, friendly, and relaxing getaway. It's cozy atmosphere is all you need although there are plenty of options if you want to keep busy. The Tousey House nearby is a perfect complement to the inn and always has a great variety on their menu. We have been viisting this gem for almost 10 years and each time there is something new and delightful. It is definitely our de-stress remedy.

Wonderful place to stay and relax

4.8 on March 23, 2011

First time ever staying in a B and B and Nancy and Bob made it a fantastic stay! The log cabin room that we had was dated with gorgeous antiques and the breakfast was beyond wonderful! Nancy was a gracious host recommending things for us to do in the area and places to eat dinner at as well. She is also a superb breakfast cook offering what ever we wanted as well as so delicious favorites!

Wonderful stay

4.8 on March 12, 2011

We enjoyed our one night stay. The room was comfortable and had all the extras we could have needed plus some that we would not have though of. Breakfast was delicious and well balanced. It was terribly rainy while we were there and they even thought to leave an umbrella outside our door to get from the cabin to the main house. We will definitely stay there again if ever we are back in the area.

Burlington's Willis Graves Bed&Breakfast

5 on February 23, 2011

My husband and I spent our past weekend at the B&B and had a very enjoyable time. Our Inkeepers were very accommodating and such a pleasure to know. Breakfast was the meal they served and it was great!!! Our Innkeeper Nancy gave us several ideas for places to go and eat. Several quilt shops for those who are interested. They had for sale a book that listed alot of the B&B's in KY. and their recipes. I have already cooked the pork tenderloin and was great! We stayed in the cabin and it was so nice and quiet, clean and relaxing. I am sure anyone who would be interested in taking some time away from home, you would really love the Burlington's Willis Graves B&B. Kathy

The perfect getaway

5 on February 09, 2011

I am not one to give a perfect review, but in this case, I must. We have stayed at Burlington's Willis Graves B&B twice in the past year. This is why we love it there and will continue to return... the innkeepers, the cabin room, the breakfast. Nancy & Bob are gracious hosts who make you feel at home right away, that makes a big difference when you're traveling. Stay in one of the 2 cabin rooms if you can. They are nice sized, private, and both rooms have a huge jetted 2-person tub and steam shower. Heaven. The bed is cozy and there's a fireplace in the lower room. It is the perfect setting for snuggling up with a book and the person you love. Nancy makes a gourmet breakfast to order that will leave you full and happy for most of the day, yummy ginger pancakes, cheesy eggs, fruit w/ homemade granola. This is a high-class B&B with care taken to make your stay comfortable, relaxing, and memorable. Not far from Cincinnati, surrounding suburbian shopping, and Perfect North ski slopes, there's plenty to do nearby. Or... you can just stay in, order take out, and enjoy doing nothing at all. Perfect.

5 on February 06, 2011

Went to Burlington Graves Willis for 1 night. The room was amazing and the bed oh so comfortable. The Innkeeper was wonderful and very friendly. I have stayed at B&B's all over the U.S. and Europe and have never had such a wonderful breakfast. The Creme Brulee french toast was to die for. Would recommend it to everyone and will definately return.

Another Great Weekend!

This was our second time visiting Willis Graves and once again, it was awesome! From the luxurious spa tub and steam shower to the high quality bed linens, this inn is a true gem! We could not have asked for a better breakfast or service from the inn keepers. We had such a fun a relaxing time that we hated to leave. We will certainly visit again!

Wonderful Get Away

4.0 on January 24, 2011

Willis Graves has exceeded my expectations. We needed to get away. Just needed to relax and forget our worries even for just one night. Our get away started when Catherine welcomed us at the door and the aroma of homemade granola was an immediate invitation to what we wished for. We stayed in the William Rouse suite and I totally suggest you do the same. It is a room where you can just wind down and let everything do. The breakfast was scrumptious. Creme Brule French toast.....Yummy...

January getaway-gift

5 on January 14, 2011

Our daughter gave us a night at Burlington's Willis Graves Bed and Breakfast Inn for Christmas. We got away to the Inn through the new snow in Kentucky. Such beautiful scenes there and on the way! Our suite was cozy with the fireplace and hot tub, and the 4-poster bed and decor made it feel like going back in time. Of course football on the tv and the oh-so-comfortable mattress brought us back. Breakfast was a super indulgence of fresh fruit, eggs and bacon and yummy french toast with marmalade filling. Even the coffee was rich and delicious. Can't wait to go back.

Slice of Heaven

5 on December 26, 2010

Nancy's high standards are evident in every detail, from the ironed bed linens to the excellent morning coffee, to the impeccable beauty of the buildings' restorations. Elegant comfort provided with warmth and grace makes Burlington's Willis Graves a Kentucky jewel in the Queen City's crown. This is it, the real thing, the inn and innkeepers you didn't dare hope to find. We didn't want to leave.

I Want to Live Like This!

5 on November 29, 2010

Everyone with whom we came in contact here were absolutely delightful and made us feel like part of the family! My mom and I indulge ourselves with a yearly "girls' getaway" and stayed in the Mr. & Mrs. Graves Suite. Visiting in late fall, we so enjoyed the warmth from the sitting room's fireplace and the authentic antique decor. The sheer luxury of the triple-sheeted bed linens would have made it impossible to rise before noon had it not been for the lure of the best breakfasts we've ever had at a B & B! The menu was offered with our choice of several gourmet dishes each morning - more than one if we could not decide! Fresh juices & fruits, homemade granola, stuffed french toast, gingerbread & more pancakes, eggs, quiche, or omelets - any style - fresh eggs taste like none you buy in a grocery. Most surprising, each guest was served at his convenience during the breakfast hours - not at a set time! There were plenty of nearby dinner spots including the Tousey House -where we (& others) ate every night! There was just enough to do in the area to enjoy our stay, relaxed and refreshed, but not harried! Nancy was so much fun - I just can't say enough good things about staying at Willis Graves B & B - and my mom and I ALWAYS stay at B & B's for our trips! I'd love to go back to this one right now!! Frequent Business Traveler

A very nice B&B

The Willis Graves is a very nice place. We found our room to be very clean and comfortable. The breakfast choices were all very good and Nancy made us feel very welcome. We would definitely stay here again.

A lovely memory of my stay

5 on October 24, 2010

My one night stay at Willis Graves B&B was a last minute decision. I was not only pleasantly surprised, I was overwhelmed--and I am a picky person! Impeccable, tasteful, immaculate, delicious--these often overused superlatives really do apply to this B&B, and the welcome was warm and friendly. That this is an 1830 house is even more unbelievable, as the updating and comforts are definitely 21st century, with no loss of historical charm and character. A skillful blend of antiques and reproductions with modern, well-functioning conveniences make this a perfect retreat for the traveler. The inn is surrounded by countryside, is a five minute drive to the small town and an excellent restaurant--another restoration--(the Tousey House Tavern), and about a 30 minute drive from Cincinnati. Breakfast was delicious in a small, elegant dining room, and the proprietor was adept at fielding questions along with serving a meal. I hope to return sometime. It was all a very pleasant surprise and is now a wonderful memory.

Could not ask for more!!

5 on October 18, 2010

We arrived to a beautiful home in the town of Burlington. The room was perfect and clean. We went into town for a great dinner, at the suggestion of the owner..and the prices were really good as well. We watched a movie from thier EXTENSIVE collection of DVD's and had a great sleep. We woke up to the smell of breakfast, and as my title says, I was so full after breakfast, I truly could not ask for more. We spent the day at The Creation Museum. It was AMAZING as well, and only about 10 min from the B & B. If you are looking for a restful nights sleep, and a great start to the day...PLEASE consider Willis Graves...we met some great people in the owners and guests!!

This B & B is one of the best

5 on October 14, 2010

We had a wonderful stay. The food was great, the room was beautiful, and the hospitality was the best. If you get a chance to stay at this B & B you won't regret it!! We love to travel to different Bed and Breakfasts and this one we will for sure come back to! Jason and Crystal

Finest Bed&Breakfast

5 on April 30, 2010

We spent the weekend for our anniversary. This is an amazing B&B with its 1830's charm. We have stayed at a number of B&B's, but this is the finest. The innkeeper Nancy and staff made us feel very much at home. The breakfasts were incredible! The inn has many nearby attractions, but yet a very quiet getaway. Loved the nearby Tousey House Tavern. We will definitely visit the Burlington Willis Graves inn again and not wait for a special event.

Great place, beautiful, rustic, every modern convenience. Great breakfast - Bob and Nancy are fabulous hosts.

Our second visit.

4.8 on February 13, 2010

My wife and I made a second trip into Kentucky for a winter vacation. I had never stayed at a B and B before on our first vacation, so I had no expectations on our first stay. All I know is my last hotel stay was not so good. I was overwelmed by the comfort and the friendliness of the Inn. It was everything I loved about a place to stay, and was very much like home. Like the feeling you have when you are done for the day, and we looked forward to coming, "Home", to relax from the days activities. We will definitely go back when we plan our next vacation for the summer Cincinatti zoo and city visit. There was no stress in the time we stayed there. This is very unlike the vacation we spent in Michigan staying at a beach front hotel. It was awful. Loud, crowded, the bed was unfriendly, and the breakfast bar was so unorganized we left. We will NEVER stay at a hotel again after my experience at this B and B left with us. The stay, the rooms, the accomadations, the quiet, the privacy, the BEDS, Great sleep, and a wonderful breakfast to start the day. Did I say quiet!?!?! Thanks to Nancy and Bob and Margaret! Thank you from Mike and Pam Downam.

Warmth and Comfort

5 on January 30, 2010

We have been to this Inn tweice and each time it is an amazing experience that keeps us coming back. We have stayed in the 2nd floor log cabin retreat and the warmth of the atmosphere, plus the quiet comfort provide a wonderful place to relax and recharge. I would recommend this B&B to anyone.

A Perfect Getaway

5 on December 21, 2009

My husband and I stayed only one night as a mini-break from our two small children. Everything was as beautiful as the pictures. The food was amazing and the people were incredibly friendly and helpful. The amenities were impressive as well. We were able to truly and deeply relax which was exactly what we needed. I only wish we could have stayed for a week!

Excellent B&B with rustic, authentic feel

5 on November 06, 2009

Converted from original log cabin, the B&B has character & luxurious details. Breakfast was excellent, comfy bed, & plenty of space. Recommended. Very close to Creation Museum

Just the BEST!

5 on November 03, 2009

We have stayed at this Inn several times and each time is nicer than the last. Nancy and Bob have a real gift for making you feel at home no matter which room or suite that you choose. Her breakfasts are incredible...we want to stay several days just to see what delightful surprise will await us at the table. We have not stayed at a hotel since visiting this Inn and though we have had wonderful experiences in other places, none compare to this experience. A totally relaxing, pampered, escape!

Enjoy the moment

4.8 on October 28, 2009

We needed a getaway to renew our relationship and celebrate 34 1/2 years of marriage. Willis Graves was homey, relaxing and totally enjoyable -- not too far from home for a few days away.

A Great Place to Rest

4.4 on October 07, 2009

The Catharine Room at Willis Graves Bed & Breakfast charms one with a mix of 19th Century decor and 21st Century conveniences. For example, the bed's head and foot boards are cannonball design. The softness of the bed puts one to sleep in very little time. The bathroom has a jacuzzi, which is very relaxing after hiking down the nearby Idlewild bike and hiking trails. The breakfast offers a variety for one's health and pallete. If one desires fruit and granola, they have it. If one desires a scrumptious creme brule french toast, they have it. Willis Graves provides one with a good opportunity to rest and recouperate from the daily stresses of life.

Great alternative to a hotel to attend an out of state wedding

5 on September 18, 2009

We stayed in the Mr. and Mrs. Graves Suite 9.12.09. Bedroom was a bit small but felt just right. Had everything we needed. Bed and pillows were comfortable with very nice linens. Closet with a light held our suitcase along with the inn supplied robes, games, iron and ironing board. Bathroom is beautiful - there is a steam shower, large whirlpool and a sink with ample space to put makeup/brushes out on. The room was a bit on the cold side and we did not have access to the thermostat but the blankets kept you warm. The breakfast was phenomenal. We enjoyed the crème brulee French toast and the gingerbread pancakes. I’m picky and these were delicious. There were plenty of DVD movies on hand to pick something out we had not seen yet. I like to run in the mornings and there is a park with asphalt trails about ½ mile down the road that was very nice. Everything is beautifully maintained. Nancy is a wonderful hostess with a wealth of information and operates this home very professionally. She strikes me as a high energy individual who keeps everything maintained, organized and running right.

Best quick getaway location!

5 on August 05, 2009

Short distance to tons of activities, but secluded enough to feel like your are getting away from it all. Every detail is thought of and you leave feeling pampered. My husband and I go here at least 3 times a year for time to relax and reconnect. The log cabin suites are the absolute best with their fireplaces, huge whirlpool tubs, steam showers, and lush linens. We love waking up and having coffee in bed and then going over to eat what I think is the best breakfast I ever had, the stuffed french toast. You really can't ask for anything more than what they offer.

Our favorite B & B to date...

I left this B & B saying to my wife that I would definitely write a review to recommend Willis & Graves; excellent in every way. Any time that we are near Cincy, this will be our stop-over. Early-American decor, wonderful, gracious service, outstanding breakfast; no complaints. Nancy treated us like family...

Outstanding in Every Way!

We just returned home from another fantastic stay at Willis Graves. It is my husband's favorite place for us to getaway since we are spoiled by the luxurious surroundings, gourmet breakfasts, fresh baked cookies, spotlessly clean rooms, and warm hospitality. The bathrooms (with air-jet tubs, beautiful tile and plush towels/robes) are the best we have experienced in any bed and breakfast (we've been to 12 so far) or hotel. It just doesn't get any better. Nancy is friendly and welcoming, she has masterfully created a welcome escape from our everyday lives. We are always sad to leave, it is like a mini-vacation every time we visit!

Absolutely Wonderful

Peaceful night in Burlington

Upon arrival and reviews from other guests, we had high expectations of the inn. They were correct. The inn was beautiful and relaxing. The innkeepers were gracious and their recommendation to dine at the Tou Sey House made our 28th anniversary special!

Great experience!

The Burlington Willis Graves B&B is a treasure to find. Stayed here on the way to the East Coast. Enjoyed everything so much that I stayed here again on the way home. Breakfast was the creme brulee french toast, sausage and eggs. So good! That alone is worth the 8 hour drive! Will be back. Lots of things to explore nearby. Clean beautifull inn.

Great Business stay

I truly enjoyed my stay, coming to town for business, it was a refreshing change from all the hotels. I could not have been made to feel more at home with Bob and Nancy if they had been family. The breakfast was great, you must have the Stuffed French Toast, especially the Orange Marmalade flavor. It was perfect. I will definitely return with my wife for another visit. Pat R.

It couldn't have been more perfect! The welcome we received from the owner was warm and friendly. The room "Cabin Retreat" was very well appointed, clean and comfortable. We also enjoyed a hot, delicious breakfast. Fresh fruit and many made-to-order choices. We had gingerbread pancakes and marmalade- stuffed French toast. All served with a smile! AWESOME!

We found the Willis Graves B & B to be a hidden gem in northern Kentucky. If you have never stayed at a B & B before this is a great place to start. It will spoil you. Nancy, the innkeeper, was very friendly and helpful. She made us feel right at home.

If you are looking for an historic, charming, clean and romantic bed and breakfast, then you will love Burlington's Willis Graves. From the moment you walk in the door to the second you leave, Nancy, Bob and the staff treat you with genuine hospitality, warmth and service. Each room captures 1800's charm and decor with pampering quality. The bathrooms, especially the Grave's Suite, feels like a five-star spa. Breakfast is incredible! You are treated to a variety of scrumptious gourmet meals. Every meal we had both fills you, yet leaves you craving more of their delectable food. This place is a must stay. It's not humongous, but well worth the trip!

Historical Escape

From the moment of arrival we were treated in a most down-home yet personable manner. Nancy made every effort to make us feel welcome in her "home", sharing history of the area and the home, including a sneak peak at the restored cabin on the premises. It is the tickler that may get us back for another visit if possible! Breakfast was gourmet, and the steam shower and jacuzzi tub was our daughter's favorite item, besides the 3 enjoyable cats!

Great Time!

Burlongton's Willis Graves B&B.

Located this b&b online, what a wonderful first experience. Friendly, helpful, charming, comfortable and luxurious accomodations.

We visit annually.

5 on May 15, 2007

My wife and I loved trying new B&B's until we found this place. Everything is perfect every time we go. The Willis Graves Suite and the Log Cabin rooms are our favorites. There is a charming local restaurant within a mile for a truely unique experience and Cincy is a short drive away for all types of entertainment. We still try new B&B's but this is a weekend for us each year.

Anniversary Relaxation

5 on May 05, 2007

We spent our 10th Anniversary in the new cabin and enjoyed everything about the stay. The innkeeper was very hospitable and the breakfast was wonderful. The room was comfortable and the jacuzzi tub was so relaxing. I could have stayed longer.
