This eclectic, artsy B&B was the perfect escape. It's secluded, yet very close to town; immersed in the nature of the mountain landscape; and the owners were welcoming and kind. She was an excellent cook too! Definitely recommend!
A great stay here! . A nice spot close to the hustle and bustle of town but in the woods close to a hiking trail. The room was spacious, very clean and quiet. Breakfasts were delicious. Nick and Eileen enjoy the arts and gave us a tour of the glass studios and house.
Very nice roomy charming get away in the woods outside of town. Great find! We had the Woodland Loft with a cute balcony with bistro table / chairs overlooking Eileen's beautiful tranquil garden/water feature area. The windows allowed us to see the Fall foliage from any area of the room! The fireplace with chairs to sit around and enjoy was a great touch! Love the stain glass, ironworks and hand wood carved details everywhere you look / see all made by Nic on site in his studio which is amazing! Eileen is a most gracious host with her homemade breakfast. Nic has great stories and showed us around the BnB and his studio. Thoroughly enjoyed our time there. We will definitely be back!
Our recent stay at the Dockside Bed and Breakfast was a terrific experience. Our daughter purchased our stay as a parent wedding gift 2 years ago. We finally got around to using it and don't regret a thing. Bob and Donna were gracious hosts and the accommodations were exceptional. Everything about the place is top notch and high quality. We enjoyed sitting on our private back porch over-looking the beautiful 3 acre lake. We sat in the gazebo and admired the view from across the lake as well. We had a terrific meal at Morgan's Family Restaurant and our breakfasts at Katie's were delicious and convenient. We will definitely put this on our list of places to revisit.
Fresh supply of baked goods and/or fruit each day would be nice. I have seen this at all of the other B&Bs we have stayed at. The smell of something freshly baking or just baked is a little special touch and makes the Inn seem more homey.
We could not have asked for anything more from a B&B! It was so clean, smells so good, especially when they were baking cookies and the smell comes into your room. The bathroom was huge and roomy, felt like heaven. Thanks for the great hospitality:)
Every year I stay to see my daughter play Lacrosse for two days. I recommend to every person who ask were are you staying. Love the Architecture Outside. The Carpentry work, finish trim, open kitchen area concept, location to College and Friendly staff.
We arrived after hours and were very pleased by the efficient way things were ready for us. The room was large and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked and provided everything we needed, even though our early morning schedule did not allow us to stay for the hot breakfast. This is a great inn because it is not only clean, comfortable and well managed,..it also has some walkable restaurants in the town that provide great food and friendly service. What a find! Trying to make up a reason to go back.
My husband I decided to stay at this lovely bed and breakfast while visiting our daughter who attends Kutztown University. It was the most pleasant experience, the room was lovely, the establishment was clean and cozy and so inviting. The young woman who checked us in ( I'm sorry I can not remember her name) was kind and thorough in explaining the use of the facility. We will definitely be staying here again. Doug and Tammy Holmes
Our stay at Suites on Broadway was a wonderful and relaxing getaway. The room was exceptionally clean and very accommodating. I would recommend anyone to stay at this Bed and Breakfast. The variety of breakfast food was delightful and very pleasing. Everything is within walking distance.
I travel extensively and cannot say enough good things about the Main St Inn. From the welcoming glass of wine to the homemade cookies available ( not to mention the scrumptious breakfasts). You cannot go wrong staying here. The rooms are cozy and neat as a pin. There is an outside courtyard where guess gather for breakfast or in the evenings wine and conversation. The Corrados outdid themselves with this inn
Marianne is friendly and accommodating. The Designer Suite is lovely, and the fridge was well stocked upon arrival. We love that this B&B is more like an apartment and we have the freedom to eat breakfast when we want and in the privacy of our own suite. Marianne provides plenty of fruits, muffins and other goodies for breakfast which would satisfy most palates. This was one of the Old Time Christmas weekends and we certainly did not miss having any "common areas" - we were out and about. Located on the main strip, there is private parking right behind the suites with a rear entrance for extra convenience. This suite also has a balcony facing the rear of the building (Race St.) and was excellent for some December stargazing! Highly recommend.
This was our first stay at a Bed & Breakfast and was a gift from a family member (hence the no review on value). I think I took 3 baths in the one night stay we had. Loved the old fashioned bathtub and she even had bath salts at the ready! Breakfast the next morning was amazing! We definitely loved our stay at the Main Street Inn.
While visiting the Pocono area for some white water rafting last summer, we passed through the town of Jim Thorpe. My wife and I came back to enjoy our anniversary weekend in early November and what a great time we had! Biking, hiking, train tour, great restaurants and two nights of live entertainment. We are very pleased with our stay at Suites on Broadway. Our return is certain.
As an alumnae of Kutztown University but beyond my college days of a sketchy motel, the Main Street Inn is a perfect fit. The staff is personable and able to reminisce about the town, which is so warming. On top of that, you get great food and service! This place is A+!
