We stayed at the Berherhof B&B during a recent trip to see the fall foliage in NH, and could not have been more pleased with our choice! From the moment we walked in the front door, we knew we chose the right place to stay. Steve greeted us at the door, took us on a tour of the inn, and gave us fantastic meal recommendations for dinner. The accommodations both in our room and in the common areas are beautiful, comfortable, and clean! We enjoyed some time hanging out in the living room with other couples also staying at the inn... and Steve had both evening snacks (yummy), 24x7 coffee/tea available, and even an honor bar should guests over 21 want it. The breakfast the next morning was the best we had on our trip to Maine & NH. We had our choice of 3 entrees expertly prepared onsite by Steve and his family, enjoyed fantastic coffee, and enjoyed nice warm showers and the heat from our in-room fireplace! We will most definitely choose the Bernerhof next time we are in the White Mountains of NH!
From the moment we arrived Steve & Katey welcomed us and truly made us feel at home. The place was beautiful. The rooms were incredible. We met so many people there and had such a great time. Relaxing, enjoying food and being pampered
This was a last minute reservation due to change in our trip. What a wonderful surprise! The room was perfect and the minute we saw it, we asked to extend our stay. Unfortunately the Inn was booked. We will come back. Great service and accommodations.
Highly recommend the Bernerhof Inn - we took a two week trip from VA to NY - CT -MA - RI - ME - NH - VT - NY - Niagra Falls - PA., we stayed in mostly Bed and Breakfasts and the Bernerhof Inn was our favorite. The price - the service - the room and the food. The Breakfast was the literally the best we had on the entire trip. We had hoped to stay longer but it was booked. I would highly recommend staying - even for one night.!! And don't miss the breakfast.!!!
We decided to take a last minute Columbus Day trip and were pleasantly surprised to see that the Inn at Jackson had one room available! We stayed in their blue room (can't recall the name) and it was called the "coziest room" with "unique angles". To be honest, I thought that this was going to be their attic space. However we really wanted to get away so we decided to set our expectations low, and book the room anyway. When we arrived, there was a fire already going in the living room and we were promptly greeted and shown around. Our room was much larger than expected, and to be honest the only unique angle I saw was a bump out where they placed their dresser. There was plenty of room for a bed, two chairs, and a TV. The complementary breakfast is nicer than most b&bs and certainly a cost-saver. The inn is centrally located in Jackson and a nice drive to plenty of hikes. I would certainly return for another weekend away.
I'm not typically a B&B kind of traveler, In this case, I found the experience exceptional. The owner Steve is a wonderful host and is always working to make his guests happy. Steve aided in our regional travel and exploration agenda. He is a cool fellow that aimed to please. The accommodations were perfect and comfortable. The breakfast was made to order, and delicious. They had treats sitting out including cookies and caramel apples. It was just a wonderful stay.
The room was spacious, comfortable and tastefully decorated. The host was welcoming, charming and entertaining. The breakfast was outstanding, probably the best breakfast ever. So where is the downside you may ask, well it's that we only stayed two nights.
My wife and I stayed overnight at the Bernerhoff Inn. We loved it and plan to return. Steve was a fabulous host and sent us to a great dinner right up the road. When we returned, we had a glass of wine outside around the fire pit and went inside to warm up even more in the hot tub bath in our room. We truly enjoyed visiting with Steve and breakfast was amazing!!!
This was a wonderful stay in NH! My husband and I were just passing through, but this Inn was perfect. We arrived late, but they left our keys and instructions on the front desk for an easy late check-in. We would definitely stay here again.
Our two night stay at The Bernerhof Inn was a breath of fresh air. We left our three kids (under the age of 7) with the grandparents and came here for some freedom and luxury. Every moment of our stay was decadent, indulgent and utterly relaxing. We stayed in the Fryeburg Suite and took advantage of the whirlpool tub. The food was impeccable, and Steve was a hoot and a half. We had planned on hibernating for two days but he made everything so welcoming we couldn't resist coming out and partaking in afternoon snacks, and watching the presidential debate with everybody. This is my new happy place, and I don't think too much time will pass before we visit again.
My wife and I spent a couple nights at the Bernerhof for our honeymoon and couldn't have been happier with our stay. Steve, Katey and the family were incredibly professional yet warm and inviting. The food was delicious and the room was very comfortable. Even their dog, Holly, came for a hike around the property with us. Needless to say, we will be making this an every-year event.
We stayed one night at Red Elephant Inn so we could attend a birthday party of a friend. We usually stay at a local motel but I heard such good things about the inn and thought we would try it. So happy we did. Rob, the owner, was so nice and very helpful. The room was very clean and had everything we needed. Wine and snacks were available all night. The best part ... .breakfast. Outstanding!! No more North Conway motels ..... this is my place to stay here on out. Sue
We booked this B&B for the gluten free dinning. What a great home and location. The breakfast was excellent along with everything else. If you are planning a trip to the white Mountain area try booking this property.
I went to North Conway to surprise a very close friend on her birthday. Rob was very inviting when we arrived and made sure to make my friend feel a little extra special to help celebrate her birthday. I have never stayed at a Bed & Breakfast before but will say that I would definitely come back and stay longer. The room & service were great, the breakfast was perfect. There is nothing negative to say about this place other than I am just disappointed with myself for not booking another night when I made my initial reservation.
We enjoyed the stay at Red Elephant Inn...the rooms are modest, but the service, the breakfast, the people-friendly owner/operators are all part of the excellent value of this B/B. I recommend the Red Elephant Inn without any hesitation. Thanks...
Had a wedding up at Chocorua and found the Red Elephant on B&B.com. Great spot right off the main drag. Nice and quiet. Parking on site. Super easy check in. We were greated with a friendly welcome and shown the amenities and the room. While we didn't spend much time in the actual space other than to sleep, I'd definitely go back. Great value!
Perfection is the first word that comes to mind when I think about the Bernerhof Inn. The rooms are gorgeous and Steve and Katey are so welcoming. They always go above and beyond to please each guest. There is no better place to stay in all of New Hampshire!
This was the second time we have stayed here for our 25th and now 30th weeding anniversary. We absolutely love the place, always very clean with great atmosphere. Rob is a wonderful host and his breakfasts are just the best. My husbsnd and I can't wait to go back again. Thank you Rob for your hospitality. The Meyer's
We stayed here 3 years ago and made a point to come back! Steve and Katey are great hosts and the property is beautiful! The breakfast was fantastic and we felt right at home in the Jackson Suite! Thanks again! We can't wait to come back again & again.
We had a very nice stay at the Bernerhof. We were immediately greeted upon arrival by Steve, who enthusiastically gave us a tour of the facilities, and provided some great recommendations as to nearby activities. He helped us arrange a reservation at a popular local restaurant as well. The dining/bar area is very cosy, and provides a wonderful breakfast as well as a nice alternative eat-in choice. We'll be back next time we're in the White Mountains!
