If you want to stay at a central, quiet and clean apartment in Venice this is your choice. You get really good value for not much money.

We are staying at this wonderful place for the second time. The room was with two rooms and a kitchen. You can prepare the morning brew great coffee in the coffee maker that are important to us - coffee people. The breakfasts are excellent. Yogurt, milk, croissants, honey and jams. All of this was replenished at our request. To sleep warm. The view of the canal. The entrance to a cozy patio. Upstairs there is a terrace. There you can sit with a bottle of wine. And a very convenient location. The Castello district Venetian rather than a tourist. Close to shops and a small market, Arsenal. Rialto 20 minutes slowly. San Marco is also close. Every time we meet welcome and all help. I highly recommend this place.

La maison est située dans un quartier authentique, près de nombreux restaurants mais aussi de superettes. Un peu à l'écart de la foule. Tarifs pour famille très intéressants.

Our stay was good as the area is clean and convenient to access to places of interest in Venice. It is also near places for food and amenities.
Thanks for your words. We are happy you stayed well by us and we hope to welcome you again in Venice in the next future. All the best. Regards. The team of B&B Querini San Marco

We stayed at this clean and perfectly situated studio/apartment in Venice in June. Simple, yet sufficient breakfast was provided. I would definitely stay there again and would highly recommend it to friends/family.

Our stay at B&B Ca'Querini was lovely. Spacious appartement-like rooms, necessary amenities available in the room and a friendly owner (Luca) who welcomed us and immediately equipped us with a map to go roam the city. Breakfast was a bit simple with -pre-packed biscotti, cakes, juice etc. in the room, but good enough to get you going in the morning. Last but certainly not least, the location of the hotel is great. A 5-10 min walk to San Marco square and away from the crowds. In sum, Ca'Querini is the perfect value for money.

This simple but clean and charming B&B has everything you can ask for with the money you pay. It´s really woth it! It has lots of space, it´s clean and in the middle of Venice - very near to the Arsenale and Giardini if you´re going to the Biennale. This was my second stay here, I have recommended it to friends who´ve been here, and I would definitey book this place again.

Me and my girlfriend stayed at this beautiful house in Venice, near San Marco square- about 5-10 mins of walk, and about 40-50 minutes from the Bus/Railway station. As You see it on the pictures, that's the way it is. Clean, neat, good bed(two separate mattresses), clean toilette with basic toiletries(toilet paper, soap, hair&shower gel, hair dryer, towels), hot water at any time, strong wifi signal and good breakfast. The cons: The room isn't quite sondproofed(you can hear other guests coming in, out, eventually some talking, laughing etc.) and there isn't kitchen sink, which means you have to wash kitchenware in the toilet.

Very good welcome. A nice size apartment with grocery stores and restaurants nearby and close to San Marco Piazza. The building is an old typical venetian "palazzo"; it is a pity that furniture and decoration were so modern and cheap but the place is clean.

Great BnB, slightly off the beaten path, there's a canal running right beside it, which is cool, but it's also like a road, so work boats run up it early in the morning ! The "Breakfast" part of the BnB was lacking .. they bring you a tray the night before and that's it ! ... Nice garden to have lunch in, and if you do stay here, make sure you bring treats for Nauel ... the Cat !

The B&B Querini San Marco was in a great location; very close to San Marco and in a good location for exploring all of Venice. The apartment was clean, quiet, and comfortable. The building was obviously renovated to create multiple apartments and consequently has an odd layout. The furniture, such as the couch, was worn, uncomfortable, but clean. The condition of the furniture, however, was irrelevant because we were not in the apartment for long durations of time. The provided breakfast was pre-packaged buns, jam, milk, and juice, and was nothing to remember. The apartment, however, has some great cafes, stores, produce stands, and restaurants nearby. The building has a charming courtyard, which is nice for sipping tea and coffee in the mornings. We would encourage the owners to expand their breakfast service, such as fresh baked goods, fruit, and drinks served in the courtyard. This change would greatly improve the service. The price was reasonable, especially for Venice. We would not hesitate to stay here again, but do not expect amazing, expect sufficient.

Breakfasts were not typical personal presentation but left three days of packaged things up front...a cold feeling for a B&B without that normal personal touch. Location was convenient.
4.4 on June 15, 2013
My friends and I stayed at the B&B for 3 nights. The location is ideal, about 10 minutes walking distance from San Marcos Square in a quiet neighborhood. We stayed in Studio 6, which was more than enough space for 3 people. The rooms were clean, well furnished, and offered wonderful views of the canals and surrounding neighborhood below. The B&B team was very accommodating - the owner met with us and provided us with a map and suggestions of what to do and see. The only issue was the WiFi, which was quite spotty upstairs. Overall, great place to stay for the price!

This apartment met my expectations but did not go above and beyond. The person that greeted us was very nice and and helped answer all of our questions. It was difficult to find the location of the B&B and we got lost a few times trying to find our way back. The room was very clean with all of the basic amenities. The only thing that I suggest is to have automatic lights when someone enters the building upstairs because it is pitch black and hard to find the light to turn it on. Other than that we loved how ancient the building was and the view from our window. Thank you!

Ca'Querini San Marco is found in a very convenient location in Venice. Not far from the main square. The setting was very nice, overlooking a canal. The rooms were clean, but a bit dated. The breakfast was minimal, but we did request some fresh fruit and they were glad to oblige, so we were pleased with that. Overall, the B&B is good value for your money, and we would recommend.

My charming wife and I enjoyed a calm, rainy weekend there.

Located in a nice ancient palazzo some could consider it as shabby- we found it extremely charming and exciting. Studio 5 with balcony is fantastic and a beautiful room for such a price! Service was helpful and nice. If you don't need a 24 hour reception and big breakfast it is the most perfect and romantic lace to be - very close to the centre but quiet! We will recommend it to our friends!

Great experience to be outside the touristy area of Venice. It's more quiet and calm in the Castello neighborhood. We had the chance to stay in two different studios and both were very pleasant to be in. Studio 4 had a nice floor plan, the bedroom being separated from the living area, and a view of the garden whereas Studio 5 was spacious and had a balcony overlooking a canal. Overall, Querini B&B was a wonderful place to stay in Venice.

We had a very good stay. It was the cheapest place I could find in Venice last minute in such a good location. It took us only about 5 min to walk from the ferry stop to the B&B and it was about 10 min walk to St. Marco Square. We stayed two nights in studio 4 and it was just as pictured – older but clean. Breakfast wasn’t impressive but I wasn’t expecting much based on the description and prior reviews. There are so many good places to eat in Venice and Italy in general that the provided food didn’t bother us. Overall, we had a good experience and we would go back.

It´s really central! and quiet. You reach the S.Zaccaria vaporetto station in 3 minutes, at the same time the small street, where this B&B is situated, is free from tourist crowds. Wonderful view from the window! In the apartment one can find everything you need. The breakfast is not mentionable :), but Coffee is great the supermarkt is just around the corner. And Sasha is so friendly and helpful, really taking care of the guests! Thank you, guy! The fact, that he speaks Russian, was for us, two Russians, a pleasant surprise.

What a great place this is! Tucked away in a quiet street but so close to the action! We were surprised at how well equipped the rooms were. My friends and I booked Studios 4 and 5 for a recent trip to Venice. We were very happy there, and enjoyed staying in a typical Venetian style accommodation. The quaint, quiet location with interesting shops and restaurants in the area was great and was within close walking distance to San Marco Square and the Grand Canal. The lovely clean studios were furbished beautifully, with useful appliances such as hairdryers, microwaves, fridges and coffee perculators. The directional map was excellent. It was very easy to reach the B&B from the train station by ferry, followed by an easy 20 - 30 minute walk. On departure from the B&B, we enjoyed the luxury of an exciting and convenient return trip to the train station by water taxi from a nearby canal. Not cheap, but shared between four of us made it a little more affordable. I would definitely stay at this B&B again. Robyn, Western Australia.

My adult daughter & I traveled to Venice for the first time. This B&B was a wonderful quiet oasis in the midst of a very busy city. We would certainly stay here again. The rooms were clean, the hosts provided breakfast breads, tea, coffee, juice & milk, which served our needs. Making arrangements for staying was easy. The hosts confirmed our reservation a couple of days before arrival, provided detailed instructions to find the site, and they met us when we arrived. One recommendation for traveling in Venice: bring mosquito spray and be prepared for a lot of tourists.

We were recommended from a guide book to stay here and it was very lovely. Location was perfect,5- 10 minute walk from the famous San Marco square but off on a quiet street which had it's own cafes and restaurants nearby. We had heard that Venice was supposed to be the most expensive city and so we were very happy with 100 euros a night (on a weekend too!) and we had our own mini suite. 3 different room (bathroom bedroom and kitchen/living area). After our tiny room in Rome this was a nice change. They also provided some food for breakfast during our stay. The people who own/work here are friendly as well.

This was our 5th time in Venice and the 1st time we decided to go the B&B route. It was clean and comfortable and priced right. The room we had was on the a canal and was a perfect setting. The breakfast was very basic and for us it will always be memorable as my wife and I were having breakfast when the 2nd earthquake struck in N Italy. It was a 5.8 and centered an hours N of us. It was our 1st time in a quake and it was pretty scary. Its no 5 star, but for us was comfortable and ok for our needs. Or bedroom was large and comfortable. The negatives were we had 2 single beds pushed together and the TV had one channel - Salsa Dancing, but we were not in Venice to watch TV so it did not bother us to much. The building its self is awesome and very Venetian and would stay there again.

We found Ca' Querini San Marco B&B to be good value for money. It's in a pleasant area and close to St. Mark's square. There's a reception on site, so no need to stand in the street waiting for an agent. Don't be misled by the 'B&B' title. No-one is going to cook breakfast for you, but there's enough food left in your room for the continental version.

Great place, quiet, spacy and very central. The courtyard in the main buildung is lovely, exactly like in the fotos on the website. Our apartment was in the building next door. We liked the view from the sittingroom- window on the very close building opposite. And the entrance for boats straight into to ground floor. The breakfast was basic, do-it-yourself and the kitchen exremely narrow, but we would certaily go here again.

I found Querini San Marco absolutely perfect. A beautiful location, close to the centre but residential and quiet. We stayed in studios 5 and 6. I cannot comment on the other studio or the apartment. I'm going to address other people's negative comments here because they need to be put in perspective: All the light switches have little orange lights on them so they are visible in the dark. If you locate them on day one it's easy. The steps up to studios 5 and 6 are only steep for quite frail people. There are about 15 steps. The hand rail is almost touching the wall so difficult to grip but most people wouldn't need to use it. As for the breakfast, the website explains that it's packed so I went in with my eyes open and went for breakfast in the cheap cafe 150 yds round the corner. As for the kitchenettes in studios 5 and 6, they aren't even mentioned on the website so one can hardly complain about them- they are an added bonus. Someone commenting mentioned a saggy floor in the bathroom of studio 5. It seems OK now. Some people said about cheap, tired furniture. It's just simple, attractive and clean. As for the reception being open only in the afternoon- we never needed anything and they were available on the phone. Some commenters said they speak no English. That's very unfair. Their English isn't that great but we were always able to make ourselves understood. I agree with all the positive comments on this BnB- I'm going back there soon. I think that says it all.

On arrival you enter into a stunning courtyard that epitomises Venice. Staff are extremely helpful and curteous. Rooms are simple but comfortable and very clean. Breakfast is the usual basic Ventian fare, but there is an excellent bakery/coffee shop a few minutes away selling a good range of croissants and all sorts of similar delights. Will certainly return.

Good B&B near to the San Marco area of Venice. Provided us with a great value at the New Year time. The Staff was very friendly and waited for us until 10, as we were late coming to the B&B. The rooms are very big with all the facilities available. There were two disappointments though: The WiFi and the TV didn't work. Had called the staff to look at it, but wasn't fixed, so basically we didn't have both of these for the two night stay that we were there.

Gorgeous building in a centrally located area. Not a traditional B&B per say but the provided breakfast was adequate. The small studio we got had a bedroom with separate living room containing a corner kitchen. It would be nice to have sink in the kitchen since you had to wash the dishes in the bathroom but for the price, considering the market in Venice, this is a bargain. Would gladly recomment.

The b&b is very well situated over a a small canal. You can easily reach San Marco's square within a few minutes. The rooms are spacious and clean, very quiet. The breakfast is given the day before and you have to make it and wash your dishes yourself, which is not very satisfactory in a b&b. Good value anyway for Venice.

The rooms were very comfortable, overlooking a canal, getting to them a little less so. The entry was awkward with timed lighting and steep steps that were old and in need of restoring. The location was very handy to San Marks piazza, just round the back and a quiet little street, close to restaurants and supermarket. The owners were pleasant but not always present, especially in the mornings.

Cons: The innskeeper who greeted us did not speak english & insisted (w/o success) that we pay upfront. Sasha did speak english but was only available by phone. Our innskeepers do not live there, there is no one manning any sort of front desk. Our room (#5 ) was a 3rd floor walk-up & it is an efficiency w/ sm kitchen & pots/pans etc (not advertised as such). There is no air conditioning. Breakfast was provided on our table upon arrival and consisted of a lg pkg of toast, 2 pkg of cook your own chocolate pudding, container of OJ, coffee grounds, 2 containers of milk, 1 pkg of cookies. The wood flooring is thin laminate and the stick-on "tile floor" in the bathroom had a disconcertingly large soft spot into which you sank as you entered the room. Pro's: Neighborhood was quiet, safe and close to the grand canal, 5 min to the Arsenal water bus stop (only 1 bridge) and 5 min to San Marco. The room was large and attractive. It was affordable compared to other options in the neighborhood. I would not stay there again. I expected the B&B setting/service that I have had in USA, Italy and Ireland & was disappointed. It was not advertised correctly: the website lacks details regarding the type of breakfast, the # stairs to the rooms (inaccessible to elderly/disabled), the absence of any staff except by phone/appt which also meant no advice available re: where to eat or help w/ luggage/transportation.

For the price this accommodation was good value for money. Very close to the centre of Venice and there are a number of reasonably priced restaurants in the vicinity. Made reservations for 3 rooms for our final city in Italy. The other 2 couples found other lodging in Venice. We stuck it out. It was definitely not up to any hotel we had ever stayed at. There is no one in the office, except for 2 hours of the day. Breakfast is delivered the night before and is minimal. There is NO Air conditioning and it was 90 when we were there. It was clean and economical, but in comparison to other same cost hotels/b & b's we had stayed at in our 3 week trip, it was not up to our standards.

Excellent location, booking process straightforward, pre-arrival communication good, check-in fine. We were in Studio 6. "Kitchen" comprises one hot plate and microwave in the corner of the living room. No sink except small hand basin in shower room so cooking and washing up difficult and not very hygienic. Full size fridge + plenty of crockery etc but so much else was dysfunctional - eg pole to open curtains was too short so jammed in window, had to close bedroom door in order to open wardrobe, had to feel your way along the corridor in the dark to find the light switch .... Wi-fi did not work all the time we were there. Perfect location but we have stayed in much better apartments in Castello for the same price (100 euros a night).
4.2 on August 13, 2011
Situated not 10 minutes walk from San Marco, this is a little gem. We stayed in studio 5, which had tall windows on a canal, so there was a nice breeze in the evening. There is even a balcony on the canal. Great to have a small fridge in the room, as well as a hot plate, expresso pot and microwave. The breakfast is just dry crackers, jam, Nutella, juice and coffee (all non-perishables), but at the price, it seemed pretty good. Wonderful little quiet neighborhood, away from the tourist bustle and shops, yet right near the San Marco boats, so it is a quick trip to the Lido, or to Murano, etc. Nice beds and decent bathroom. Only negative -- the boats on the canal can be noisy early in the morning.

Excellent location only 5 min from St. Mark's, but in a proper neighbourhood with local shops nearby. Loved the old building and views of the canal. Rooms had all you needed, decor very homely, but that fitted the place. Breakfast a bit poor-no bread rolls or butter. Also had a problem getting in on arrival, as no one answered our ring, although the young man was there. He was not particularly welcoming. Very good value for Venice.

Nice rooms, no maid in the morning, old and soft beds. overall a good low budget accommodation

We staying STudio 5. This is a lovely and very reasnably-priced place to stay in Venice. The property overlooks a canal which for me a great especially in the morning. It was very warm - essential for early spring and we enjoyed how peaceful it was. The b&b is nicely located away from of the tourist throng but near enough to everything. It has a lovely feel. On the other hand the kitchenette area doesn't have a sink which makes the DIY breakfast set-up rather messy - we had to clean the coffee maker out in the bathroom. Also the double bed being made up from 2 single beds is not romantic! There's no bath but pleanty of hot water in the shower. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend it, the staff and service is pleasant but the studio photos are a little deceptive but that's normal I guess.

We had appartment 4, a bedroom een sittingroom/kitchen and a private bathroom (small shower but very clean). The beds could have been better en the dubblebed consists of two single beds who keep going away from eachother. Don't expect too much from the kitchen, it is a worktop with no sink (water in bathroom) but there is a microwave/oven and one electric heater so you make you're own coffee in the morning. The breakfast is very basic and everything was put in our room the first day for al the 3 days we stayed (orangejuice, coffee, tea, toast, nutella, honey, milk and cookies). Simple, but somehow we liked it to make ik ourselves in our own room :). We really liked the location, in a typical calle (alley) only a 10 min walk from San Marco but in an nice not so turistic neighbourhood in Castello, close to the vaporetto en restaurants en cafe's. The reception is only open in the afternoon and when we wanted to check out we had to wait one hour for the reception-guy te come back so we could give our key back en pay. (but hey, you're in venezia, go have a cup of espresso somewhere and come back...) So te end this, a very basic accomodation, but we liked anyway.

When we arrived we were given our keys and showed to our room, no welcoming reception. The gentleman that showed us to our room could speak very little English! Room was clean but had a slight smoke odor. Has a kitchenette and bar fridge but not wash up basin. Room was spacious comfortable. Well situated and peaceful in the evenings.

Everything was just great. We stay with my husband and 3 year old son for 1 night on October. We arrive with delay from the airport, and after that, I forgott the directions on how to get there, so we were lost for a while....but the manager wait for us until 12 am!!!!!! She was very nice. The room was big, clean, with a kitchen and everything you may need for a long stay. the view from the balcony was awesome. They gave us a tray with cookies, nutella, jam, toast, coffee, chocolate, milk, juicy.....for the next day, but was actually our dinner!!!! Our only "complain" would be: that the room was too cold. The location was excellent, just a few blocks from San Marco. Will definitely stay here again. Thank you!!!!!

The whole place is charming and impressive too. We enjoyed our stay very much. We were able to have some of our meals there thanks to the little kitchenette. The studios are spacious and nicely furnished. I enjoyed the peacefulness of the place. Furthermore it is close to San-Marco. I truly recommend it.

Photos lie: The nice entrance with staircase; we saw it because the small office is in the back part. Garden? Not in our part of the house, no idea whether there was one at all. We rang the bell on the street-door to check in, waited quite a while before the caretaker came from next door. After checking in he took us next door. This entrance was somewhat different. Dirty and squalid, with piles of building materials, paint buckets and rubbish on the floor, with a rotten gate to the small canal. You'd expect rats running along the floor any minute. Our apartment for 3 persons on the first floor, up some stairs green with moist and funghea. 5 locks on the old door, had keys for 2. Never sure whether both were locked, and on return stretched our patience to the utmost, turning keys around and around in vain attempts to open door. Ready to give up when it would mysteriously open. Rooms themselves adequate, though everything old and worn, furniture seemingly bought cheaply secondhand, mostly consisting of cupboards along the walls. Bathroom: Had to stand in tiny, slippery bathtub to take a shower. Impossible to avoid floor full of water after a shower. Dirty mop only way to dry it. No mosquito nets in windows, plenty of mosquitoes. A tray with biscuits, butter, jams, honey, milk, juice, coffee, teabags to last for 3 people for 7 days. Coffee unnecessary, since no equipment for brewing it, except a tiny, old device for making half a small cup at a time.We had morning coffee in a nice sidestreet. Everything old and shabby, including plates and crockery, except for a fairly new washing machine we didn't use. 2 positive elements: hot water, and the good location, a nice 10 minutes stroll from San Marco.
The reason why you didn't get access to the b&b is that you didn't book for one of our studios that are inside the b&b. We confirm of course that inside the b&b there is a garden, and most of our studios have canal view. You rented one apartment that we have next door, that can accommodate three people, and it is clearly stated on the website that has an independent entrance. We are sorry you didn't enjoy the apartment, but most of our customers appreciated it. We agree it that is not a "top level" in Venice, and that is not as nice as our studios, but, of course, we offer it at the cheapest price you can find for an accommodation for three people in Venice.

We spent a week in October in Ca Querini San Marco B&B. I'm giving a good review, as for a cheap price, we had a complete apartment with kitchen, not just a room, in an excellent location (very close to San Marco). This is what we needed, having to spend a week in Venice.

Apartment is in an ideal location, clean and good basic amenities provided. Contacted apartment by e mail prior to arrival and arrived on time but there was no one there and waited for over an hour until someone came. Contact number given was incorrect and no sign of any life at the address. Eventually got sorted and enjoyed our stay but must stress bring repellents for mosquitoes
