Buchanan Lofts, Lafayette, Louisiana

Each of the nine lofts in Buchanan Lofts, a refurbished warehouse, is unique in both layout and décor, with varying bed types accommodating three to five guests. Most have loft sleeping quarters above the main floor. The building is just steps from restaurants, museums, art galleries, shopping, entertainment and the nightlife in Lafayette. Rates start at $100 per night.

We love: All but two units have at least one 10-ft. window overlooking the street; the others have either an interior patio or a view of downtown rooftops.
