B&B Villa Luogoceleste - Foiano della Chiana, Italy

"When we arrived, we received a charming welcome from Paul and Ann. At the end of the day a welcome dinner was served. Every morning Paul prepared breakfast with local products like cheese and ham. We enjoyed the 2 evening dinners, both very well prepared and at a good price. The villa is well located for trips. Paul helps with reservations at good restaurants in the neighborhood. We had a fantastic stay and we will come back as soon as possible!"

Bed and Breakfast Valencia Mindfulness Retreat - Valencia, Spain

"To be honest, I'm more of a foodie than a yoga-fan, and my idea of mindfulness is bringing enough money when I go on a shopping spree during my city trips. So even though the whole "mindful" concept is not exactly my cup of tea, I was awed by the amazing reviews, so booked a city trip to this B&B, and I am very happy I did! First of all, the location could not be better, with all shops, restaurants and sights within walking distance. Secondly, the decor and atmosphere of the location feels funky, trendy and unusual without being cluttered or too strict; I felt at home instantly! Thirdly, the amazingly friendly hosts made sure I never left the B&B without a list of recommended local boutiques, restaurants and other cool venues.

The breakfast was out of this world! Where do you get so much fresh fruit and a selection of five different cheeses for breakfast? Used to small high-end boutique hotels with a bit more privacy, it was a new experience for me to have breakfast with other guests at the same table, but as the Champagne flowed freely it turned out more fun than I expected! I even went out for dinner with two guys I met at the breakfast table. Sometimes I had a glass of wine on the balcony before going out for dinner, other times I felt more like reading in the privacy of my own room. The option of meeting people is there but is by no means something that is expected. It´s more like you´re on Captain Stubing´s Love Boat table on a cruise, but at breakfast! So yes, the hosts offer a morning meditation room and it´s possible to take yoga in the center down the street, but if you are not into that, nobody cares and nothing is expected. I sure enjoyed my bubbles at breakfast, but I also had an amazing massage by a Spanish therapist (muchas gracias Francisco!). Don´t worry too much if you´re not the yoga-kind-of-gal, I had a blast and will surely return!"

Bonnington Square Bed and Breakfast - London, England

"What a fantastic gem! My husband and I spent 10 nights at Bonnington Square B&B. We chose it based on the location and reviews and it didn't disappoint!! Easy access to the tube/rail, grocery stores and the Southbank to name a few amenities. Andy is a brilliant host, great cook, extremely helpful with ideas and directions plus very accommodating as we did not arrive until after midnight. I might add that the bed is very comfy and the duvet is divine! So if you love getting in the vibe of what London offers but want to live like a local and away from the touristy areas then this is the place! It is much more personal and a better value than a hotel. We can't wait to return!!"

Canto De Luz - Porto, Portugal

"Canto de Luz is the perfect place to stay. The house is beautiful and very comfortable. The room we stayed in was huge and had a lot of natural light. The bathroom was perfect. Everything was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was great!! And the main point: Brigitte and André are wonderful. They make you feel at home. They provided us with different recommendations of what to see and eat, and all their suggestions were perfect. I highly recommend Canto de Luz to everybody planning to go to Porto. And, of course, if I go to Porto again, I will stay in Canto de Luz."

Colette's Family Homes Bed and Breakfast - Amsterdam, Netherlands

"We read many of the reviews on this site and chose Colette's B&B as a result. We came to visit with high expectations and our expectations were exceeded in so many ways. From a wonderful breakfast, to great tips, and help getting around Amsterdam. We would highly recommend Colette's B&B and we will stay again. Thank you Colette for sharing your home, and so much more."

Dreamcatcher Guest House - San Juan, Puerto Rico

"The Dreamcatcher is like something you would see in a travel magazine. We found ourselves wandering around the house examining all the antiques and items Sylvia has collected over the years. Every time I was in a room I would notice something new I hadn't noticed before. We loved the exposure to the outside. Besides the bedrooms every other room opens to the outdoors. The complimentary coffee was a great benefit so we could lounge around the house in the morning and take in the scenery. Our room was spacious and comfortable. Having an A/C unit was a welcomed pleasure on days when it was hot and sticky.

The Dreamcatcher rooms each have a neighborhood map and small booklet with recommendations that were very helpful. All of the food recommendations we tried were great. During our stay Meeshel was our hostess and she was so friendly and made us feel right at home. We also got massages from her and we both highly recommend taking advantage of the onsite massage therapist. My favorite part about the house was the outdoor shower. It was so nice to shower and look up and see the sky and an avocado tree. We had a good time meeting the other guests as well and got to enjoy a community dinner with everyone. We both had such a wonderful time at the Dreamcatcher and hope to return again very soon."

La Terrasse de la Malmaison - Bagnolet, France

"I was a solo female traveler from the U.S. and I was welcomed very warmly. The flat looked better than it did in pictures. You truly feel like you are in Paris with all the Parisian decor. The B&B is very tastefully decorated and very neat and tidy. Christophe and his friends helped me a great deal in navigating through the city with maps and directions. The bed was comfortable and I loved that you did not have to share the bath with anyone. There is also a patio where you can have some wine if you decide to stay in. I also loved the French breakfasts. Made my morning everyday :) The flat is about 5 minute walk from the Gallieni station and you can take a bus that is 2 minutes away directly to the Louvre. I loved the hospitality and these guys just rock!"

Los Artistas B & B - Ajijic, Mexico

"How would you describe beauty and serenity in one location? It would be called Los Artistas. Whether it is sitting on a lounge chair by the crystal blue pool, next to the fountains with their water spraying gently onto the lily pads, or sitting in the enclosed sun room enjoying the authentic Mexican décor and lovely original paintings, the beauty and serenity is there. The grounds are breathtaking with all of the flowers, grasses and fountains. Los Artistas lends itself to a relaxing time for all of the guests. The staff does a great job keeping everything immaculate. The main house and rooms are very authentic in the Mexican tradition with beautiful furniture and artwork and are very comfortable. The staff is excellent, very efficient and so quiet. The cook is magnificent and we were greeted with wonderful breakfasts each morning. The staff is also bi-lingual so we never had to worry. Los Artistas took care of our every need. We love Ajijic and will not stay in any other B&B but the Los Artistas. Los Artistas is a bit of paradise in beautiful Ajijic, Mexico."

Villa Paggi Country House - Carasco, Italy

"This beautiful hill-top getaway was a magnificent dream! The views were absolutely breathtaking and each bedroom was uniquely designed with love and care. The best part: the hosts! They cooked us two homemade meals which were these fantastic long and drawn out evenings spent chatting over delicious food and champagne. I will highly recommend this to everyone I know who is going to Italy! "
