This could be you!
Farmers Guest House of Galena, Illinois, won the 2015 Best B&B Breakfast Tournament for their delicious apple-cheese stuffed French toast with Midwest berry sauce recipe. Later that year, innkeeper Susan Steffan was approached by the Food Network to participate in season two of the Holiday Baking Championship. The producers specifically mentioned that they discovered Steffan and Farmer's Guest House by way of the publicity from winning our Best B&B Breakfast Tournament.
"I got a phone call from a casting agent for the Food Network who said she found me online—and of course I was totally blown away at first and I thought I was being punked! I asked her how she found me, and she said, 'your French toast won the 2015 Best B&B Breakfast Tournament, which I found online." - Susan Steffan, 2015 Best B&B Breakfast Tournament Winner
How to enter
See below for detailed instructions on how you can enter the 2017 Best B&B Breakfast Tournament. All entries are due by March 6, 2017.
- Click here and complete the form with your recipe, instructions and photo. The BedandBreakfast.com team will add your recipe to your listing before the contest goes live.
- You can only submit one photo via the entry form. If you have additional photos that you'd like to provide, please email them to firstname.lastname@example.org.
- Recipes will be judged on uniqueness, creativity and visual appeal. Please note that the better the photo, the better your chances of progressing through the competition. The recipe must be for one dish but may include multiple recipes, like our 2013 winner's dish, lemon souffle pancakes with blueberry compote. You may not submit a multi-plate recipe that is a full meal. For example, a recipe for French toast, scrambled eggs and hashbrowns would be disqualified.

How does the tournament work?
BedandBreakfast.com’s Best B&B Breakfast Tournament works in brackets, much like the NCAA Basketball®’s March Madness®. Submit your best breakfast recipe by March 6, 2017. From there, BedandBreakfast.com will narrow down the entries to the top 32, and at that time a panel of guest judges will then narrow it down to the final 16. At the end of March, the top 16 will be voted on daily on the BedandBreakfast.com Facebook page until we have one winning recipe.
The judges' panel from previous years consisted of nationally recognized travel and food writers, including Anne Banas with SmarterTravel, Adrien Glover with Travel + Leisure, and Susannah Chen with YumSugar.
