My wife and I stayed at Robinwood Inn's "Fireside Retreat" cabin in January for a weekend getaway. The room was nice and large, but also felt very cozy. The fireplace is really nice, and they provide plenty of wood, tools for moving hot logs around, and bellows. Make sure to bring your own kindling, though. We did have a bit of an issue with smoke; the chimney is apparently not very good, and so a little bit of smoke gets into the room. But nevertheless, we loved the fireplace. But what really knocked our socks off was the hosts. When we tried to get up a small hill to where the cabin was, our car got stuck in the snow and ice, and we couldn't get through without help from a friendly local who chained our car to his pickup truck and towed us to the cabin. We didn't want to strand ourselves again, so we called the hosts, and they went out and put ash on the slippery spots and trimmed some of the brush to make it easier for us to get in and out, but even after they had done this they offered to pick dinner up for us in town and bring it back so we wouldn't have to go out again that night. They also said we could call them if we got stuck again and they'd pull us with their truck. To get the free breakfast, we had to go to a café in town run by the hosts (about a 5-minute drive and then a 3-minute walk, depending on where you are able to park). The menu was limited, but the food was good--certainly better than any continental breakfast you'll find at a hotel. They served anyone, but if you were staying at the inn, they would give you anything on the menu for free, along with coffee and orange juice. We hope to be back soon.

My husband and I go every year and love it, lance and Tyra and the mini horse and Romeo and Boo are like our family. We look forward to it every year! This is truly a home away from home! Beautiful setting and the hot tubs are wonderful! We have stayed at Robinwood and Maybelle's and are looking forward to our next adventure this winter! Have Romeo ready for some spoiling! And hint to new arrivals... Romeo knows how to open door knobs! But he is really the sweetest dog in the world!

We have married 55 years and took a getaway weekend provided by our children. Tyra and Lance were the most accomodating young couple we have ever met. They made the weekend special. We checked in on Friday and never left until Sunday. The food was outstanding. Cannot wait to go back and enjoy the fireplaces in the Robinwood Studio.
