Visiting our son at IU Bloomington

4.6 on November 14, 2016

This was our second time. And the stay was great! The rooms are comfortable and breakfast is always great. We choice to meet our son for breakfast on the second and last morning. So Rita made sure she left us some easy to eat snacks and to go cups for tea and coffee for our trio back home. Rita has great attention to detail. This time we were able to even bring our little dogs. They were well behaved and loved being able to be with us.

Beautiful!

Thank you Rita for making our stay most pleasant, you are warm and welcoming and have given so much attention to detail in everything you do for your guests, from arrival through breakfast and departure as well as the lovely furnishings and amenities. Well done, and God bless you and yours ma'am, thank you.

Two comfortable days

We had never stayed at a B&B, but this was a very good experience, so we will never hesitate to travel that way again. If we are anywhere near Morgantown, IN and/or Nashville, IN we will certainly stay at Acorn Ridge. Breakfast were our best meals on this trip,

Rita was very accommodating and made us delicious breakfasts! She was friendly and helpful. Her lawn chairs and umbrellas were real lifesavers for an outdoor festival we attended! The B&B was very clean and nicely furnished. We highly recommend it!

About the innkeepers

We have this huge house that we enjoy, and we enjoy having guests. It just seemed like the perfect combination. Dave is an engineer so he fixes things, enjoys hunting and archery. Rita loves projects, picture framing, and art. We both enjoy the outdoors and love animals. We just don't have them in the house due to allergy issues.

Signature Dish

Portobello Eggs with sides
An egg is nested in a Portobello mushroom cap and baked with herbs and sprinkled with Asiago cheese. The meal is rounded out with fresh fruit and homemade whipped cream on the side. Bacon or cheese slices and broiled tomatoes accompany the egg with a side of Swedish pancakes. If that doesn't fill you up, we will gladly cook and additional egg to your liking and orange juice is available. A selection of local syrups are fun to choose from! That will be a surprise! We have a selection of teas, K cup coffee anytime you like, and a pot of coffee at breakfast.
