The Dome that felt like home!

What a rare find in a remote location. I surprised my husband with this little getaway and he couldn’t believe that this place existed. We chose the room with a fireplace and jacuzzi tub. The hosts were fabulous; friendly, helpful, gracious and, the breakfast was delicious. Homemade scones and a delicious egg frittata. Although it’s rural, you are close enough to a lot of great restaurants. We will definitely be back for more relaxing stays!

Peace, and Deliciousness!

Bill and Crystal are wonderful hosts at this very unique B &B on the outskirts of town. After going to Cedar Lake for dinner, we returned and stargazed at the clear sky. Before breakfast we enjoyed a cup of coffee off the 2nd floor balcony overlooking the willow tree. Breakfast was filling with homemade scones, yogurt, an egg dish, potatoes, and bacon. A great getaway for our 17th wedding anniversary!

Innkeeper Response
We are so happy you had a great anniversary! Thank you for choosing Thyme For Bed. Be sure you come back when the flowers are in bloom and it is warmer sitting on the balcony.

Thyme for a break

We were traveling to Chicago from Missouri and decided go just a little out of the way on trip there after finding this B&B. We are so glad we found this place! Quiet B&B is in a country setting, so peaceful from the big city that we were headed to. Crystal greeted us and gave us a tour as well as the history of this unique building. We chatted with her and William before heading to town. We stayed in the Victoria Room. The room was beautifully decorated and the bed was extremely comfortable. I wasn't sure about breakfast as one of us is a very picky eater, but Crystal adjusted her cooking accordingly and created two different breakfasts to satisfy us both; going above and beyond what we expected. Breakfast was delicious, and we hated to have to leave.

Was looking for a special place to get away from the usual. This was it. The owners were very helpful in finding us a place to eat dinner off site and made a delicious breakfast in the morning. Communication was great and felt well taken care of. Even if this wasn't a unique property, which it was, I would recommend staying here. Also a very good value!

Great people awesome dome!

This was a wonderful place to stay!! It looks a little small from the outside but when you get inside it is actually quite large. We got there around 8 p.m. after a day at Fair Oaks Farms(which I would also recommend). And we took a walk around the property right before dusk it was quite nice. The owners Bill and Crystal told us they were planning on cutting a path through the meadow in the back too which would have been a beautiful evening walk. We talked with the owners for a couple hours, they are very nice people. We slept in the "In Your Dreams" room and it was quite roomy and very comfortable. The king size bed was awesome and we both slept great. They asked us what time we planned on getting up so they could have breakfast prepared for us. The breakfast was very good! Homemade yogurt and scones with fresh fruit to start and a wonderful peaches and cream bake. Everything was awesome and we would most certainly recommend staying here!

I'd go there again!
