Thyme For Bed is a monolithic dome situated on 10 acres of rolling farmland in NW Indiana. We are in a secluded location, but 20 minutes from shopping and an hour south of Chicago. We have 3 themed guest rooms, two common/living areas and a dining area that can seat ten. A full breakfast is included and we can accommodate special dietary needs (with advance notice). In Northwest Indiana you will find many different festivals in the local communities. We are also located near Balmoral Park (Crete,Il), Fair Oaks Farm, the Albanese Candy Factory., and Deep River Water Park. There is a little something for everyone, even antiquing! And of course you can opt to stay at the B&B to relax and enjoy the peacefulness of our home.

Bill and Crystal are wonderful hosts at this very unique B &B on the outskirts of town. After going to Cedar Lake for dinner, we returned and stargazed at the clear sky. Before breakfast we enjoyed a cup of coffee off the 2nd floor balcony overlooking the willow tree. Breakfast was filling with homemade scones, yogurt, an egg dish, potatoes, and bacon. A great getaway for our 17th wedding anniversary!

We were traveling to Chicago from Missouri and decided go just a little out of the way on trip there after finding this B&B. We are so glad we found this place! Quiet B&B is in a country setting, so peaceful from the big city that we were headed to. Crystal greeted us and gave us a tour as well as the history of this unique building. We chatted with her and William before heading to town. We stayed in the Victoria Room. The room was beautifully decorated and the bed was extremely comfortable. I wasn't sure about breakfast as one of us is a very picky eater, but Crystal adjusted her cooking accordingly and created two different breakfasts to satisfy us both; going above and beyond what we expected. Breakfast was delicious, and we hated to have to leave.

The hosts are incredibly accommodating, and the space is so fun and unique. The breakfasts are divine and catered to your dietary needs – dutch baby pancakes, fresh made scones, frittata, hand pressed coffee. We are vegetarian and were completely spoiled by the food. Beds are very comfy too. This is such a unique spot in an area with few lodging options. It's well worth the extra cost over a hotel to have a good experience. I have stayed here twice with my family and will be back.

My fiance and I stayed at Thyme for bed after a long international flight through Chicago and had a wonderful time! We were initially curious about the place because of the dome architecture but found that there was so much more to enjoy. Crystal gave us a tour of the entire dome and each of the exquisitely decorated rooms. She also made a delicious breakfast and was willing to serve it late due to our jet lag. She even went out of her way to include turkey bacon with the meal since we do not eat pork. I would highly recommend a visit to Thyme for Bed.
