Great weekend stay!

4.4 on April 10, 2017

My wife and I stayed at the Stillman this past weekend and had a great time. We were warmly greeted and introduced to our accommodations by David who is go eager to ensure your stay is as good as he can make it. He offered to assist with contacting restaurants if we needed. The room was very comfortable and clean. We spent some time in the evenings relaxing and reading in the parlor. The breakfast were great with a nice selection available. We left our car at the inn and walked downtown. While the street is a little steep it was not overwhelming and it is a nice walk. We will surely consider visited the Stillman again.

A Wonderful, Charming and Historic B & B

This was our second stay at Bernadine's Stillman Inn and it definitely measured up to our wonderful memories of our first stay. Our room was cozy with it's own fireplace on a chilly February weekend and our hosts, Dave & Bernadine, were warm, friendly and interesting. Bernadine is a great cook and the breakfasts were delicious. Dave treats his guests like they're all family. He is very knowledgeable of the history of the inn as well as Galena itself. We felt at home at the Stillman Inn and will definitely return.

Bernadine's is Awesome!!

My girlfriend and I spent 3 days at Bernadine's and it was well worth the stay. Dave is a gentleman and a scholar. Went out of his way to make sure all our needs were met. My girlfriend and I had been apart for a few years and reconnected at Bernadine's! An engagement is forthcoming. I would definitely recommend Bernadine's to family and friends. Very clean, great decor, awesome rooms, great breakfasts and extremely comfortable. My soon to be fiance' and I will definitely be returning to Bernadine's in the future.

Treated like kings and queens

From the crown and tiara in the room (literally) to the amazing service at breakfast we were treated like royalty. Dave is passionate about making sure all your needs are met. He helped us book a table to ensure we saw the Cubs play st a local bar and gave us good options for things to do the next day. Rooms are clean. Breakfast was excellent. We would absolutely go back again.

Stayed in June, 2015 here & we loved it. The rooms were clean, charming, and comfortable. Dave was such a friendly & gracious host, and Bernadine a marvelous cook! We enjoyed our visit to Galena and the Stillman Inn so much that we stayed 2 nights instead of one!

Wonderful stay.

We enjoyed our stay immensely. It was our first stay in a B&B and to do it in such a historic house, it made our visit to Galena that much better. Dave & Bernadine were very gracious hosts. The food which was all personally prepared and was outstanding. We look forward to our next visit there and wouldn't think of staying anywhere else. Deb & Gary

What a wonderfully charming B&B getaway!

4.8 on April 11, 2015

Here are just some of the things my fiancé and I loved most about the Stillman Inn: Our room was clean, comfortable and wonderfully-updated. We stayed in the Grand Romance Room, which had an amazing whirlpool jacuzzi tub and a cozy fireplace and if you never left the room, you would have a great time in and of itself. The breakfasts were fantastic. They had a cook in on the weekend but every morning there were a couple of choices to chose from and everything was delicious and made with care. We left with big smiles on our faces every morning. The B&B itself is beautiful with a ton of history and charm. The owners know the history quite well and will share if you are interested. They also know the area and have all sorts of recommendations for things to do, stores to visit and restaurants to eat at. They could not be any more accommodating! We loved that the Inn was within walking distance to town. The scenery around the inn is beautiful and you feel like you are transported to a different time. Perfect location. But overall, the main reason we will return is because of Dave, the owner. Kind, warm, funny and a pleasure to talk to. He made our stay extremely comfortable and we felt like we were home. We ended up making friends with a couple of the other visitors and it is all because Dave made everyone feel like we had known each other for years! We highly recommend staying at the Stillman Inn if you are traveling to Galena. We will be back!
