The staff was awesome and gave us a lot of great tips for restaurants and places to go. Perfect location! We would definitely book again.

Having stayed here previously we knew how great this Inn was and it was just as friendly and welcome. We came as a family (6 adults and 2 children)and booked three rooms. We basically had the entire place to ourselves and with two small children(2 1/2 & 4 months) it was the ideal place. Special thanks to Paul and Lindsey for making us feel at home !

I stay at this inn frequently due to the amazing location and ability to park a car at no extra expense. Also, literally near the blue line which is cool.

We just got back from a weekend baby moon at the Wicker Park Inn. The location is ideal! We walked throughout the Wicker Park neighborhood and loved the easy access to the "L" to get around. The restaurant options are boundless and we had so much fun eating our way through the neighborhood. Loved Taxim, Mindy's Hot Chocolate, Wormhole coffee, Jenni's Ice Cream and Cumin for Indian food! We stayed in the Cape Cod room. You could hear the train, but it was not disruptive in the least. It was comfortable, clean and nice staff. Breakfast had a wide variety of options with bagels, peanut butter, cream cheese, fresh fruit, danish, cereal, tea, coffee, hot chocolate, yogurt, granola, mini quiche and the like. Parked on the street all weekend with the overnight pass provided by the Inn. Worked great.

This was probably our 6th stay at Wicker Park Inn. (Plus we will return for another visit at the end of January.) Great location, clean, very friendly staff! We are starting g to feel like family since we go at least twice a year. The staff is very easy to work with and try their best to accommodate your needs when possible. Highly recommend Wicker Park Inn!

Fifth visit to Chicago and staying in this apartment. The location is fantastic! It's an apartment so there's not really onsite dining (other than what you prepare for yourself). There's not traditional room service - no one comes to the door every morning to clean - but new towels and trash service are available as needed. Having a stocked kitchen is a GREAT feature - allowed us to entertain family & friends and allowed us to only go out to eat when we actually wanted to. One downside this year (2016) - the knives in the kitchen were all exceedingly dull - made it very difficult to cook. The variety and quality of the pots & skillets is less than we'd hoped for. (It seems like the number and condition of the cookware has declined from previous visits).

We stayed in the Garden Apartment for 2 nights and it was a great experience. The service was exceptional and they even gave me a call to let me know the room was ready. Lindsey checked us in and was exceptionally friendly and accommodating. The room was beautiful and spacious. Two beds, a kitchenette/dining table, and large bathroom. There was extra blankets, plenty of towels, and the beds were comfortable. The room was exceptionally clean and the housekeeper was so kind and checked in with us every day. This B&B is in a great location for shopping and about 4-5 blocks from the train station. Many good places to eat close by and about 1 block from a Walgreens. I would definitely book a stay here again!!!

We stayed in the Cape Cod room for 3 nights. We really liked the room. It was very clean and felt very cozy/homey. The bathroom was a bit small but we certainly didn't mind. It was great to have breakfast and the communal kitchen in the mornings. The Inn is located in a great area within walking distance of a lot of good restaurants and bars. It's also very close to hop on the subway.

We've stayed at Wicker Park every September for 4 years now, and we love it. We were in the Garden apartment for the first time this year and while we were happy enough with the room, we find that the Blue Line room is actually quieter in our 3 other stays. We had VERY noisy, stomping, partying upstairs neighbors- which is no fault of the inn. We also had a housekeeping issue that was taken care of quickly, which we appreciated. We love Wicker Park, but we're going back to our old reliable Blue Line room next year. ___I rated the onsite dining outstanding as breakfast is not included in the cost of the Garden apartment. Thanks to the apartment kitchen, we made all our own food___

We stayed in the garden apartment - very nice, spacious, clean, and quiet, considering location to the train. It was my first time in Wicker Park; this location is excellent - within walking distance of public train and bus, grocery store, and a ton of restaurants. I will stay again.

This little gem was quite the find - I have been to many BnB(s) across our great land, though Wicker Park Inn takes the cake. Gorgeous, lovely, fun, cute, quaint, fun location and everything that you need in one great spot. We shall return, and this will be the only place we will stay in Chicago. Just that great! The staff was beyond friendly.

First, outstanding location. 6 "El" stops downtown to the Loop, about 14 to O'hare. Staff very pleasant (although room was not ready for occupancy when we arrived, on schedule. Several excellent restaurants and other shopping a block or two away. The downside is, the noise level, particularly on the ground floor, We could hear every step, every laugh, every...noise...going on above us. Also, when a party of three couples arrived after we had gone to bed, well, they might as well have been right there in our room (they were in the vestibule, right outside our room.

We checked in with Lindsay, who was very friendly and polite. Our room (basement level apartment) was spacious, clean and well stocked. I was surprised to have to pay extra for breakfast, which was ok but much less than that received at other B&Bs. The location was excellent for us, and was a good alternative to a limited service hotel. We hope to return.

Great location, very comfortable bed, beautiful room and very helpful staff. Definitely recommend.
5 on May 21, 2016
We loved our night spent at the Wicker Park Inn. It was really close to a great selection of restaurants, bars, bookstores, and coffee shops. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and we both got a great night's sleep despite the slight noise that filters in from the busy street nearby. The room itself was large, beautifully furnished, and extremely clean. We already had plans for breakfast, so we didn't try the breakfast offered onsite, but I'm sure it would have been as lovely as the rest of our experience there.
5 on May 17, 2016
I was actually here on business and definitely made the right decision staying a bit out of downtown. The nearby L stations make it easy to get downtown and the neighborhood around the inn was much nicer to hang out in after a busy day of meetings than, I think, staying in the Loop. The rooms are spacious and really pleasant. I was in the Chicago room and while I imagine the train sounds (it's right there and at all hours) might bother some, I actually found it very atmospheric, even soothing. The kitchen setup is nice. No real problems, all questions answered. Overall, it was great place to recharge and would definitely recommend.
4.4 on May 15, 2016
Our accommodations worked out spectacularly for our trip. The location was great for the things we planned to do, but also provided lots to do (and eat) within a block or 2 walking distance. Check in went smoothly and the breakfast was great every morning. I have dietary restrictions and there was enough variety that I found plenty to eat every morning. It would have been nice to have 2 sets of keys for the room, but we made do with the single set. I have and will continue to recommend this B&B to friends and family. I very much enjoyed my stay.
4.6 on May 12, 2016
We very much enjoyed our stay at the Wicker Park Inn. It is the second opportunity we had to enjoy the hospitality there and it remains our favorite venue when visiting the city. The staff is warm and welcoming and the rooms are comfortable and spacious. We enjoy the neighborhood, especially the el trains that rumble past on schedule. It is a perfect urban retreat!

After 14 years of living in Chicago, My daughter and I (now 5) moved to Ga. It has been 2 years and I have missed my city everyday. Staying in our old neighborhood was perfect. Wicker Park Inn was just what we needed. Close to the train, all of our favorite restaurants and of course, Wicker Park. My daughter's father is currently going through cancer treatment in Chicago, so having a place for she and I to go to to relax and feel at home is exactly what we needed. The accommodations are perfect. Always very quiet in the house- and the coffee is so good! ¿¿ The Chicago Room does have the extra bonus of the blue line running right outside your back door. Living in the city for so long- my daughter and I totally embraced this. It put a smile on my face while having my early morning coffee on our porch. Check in and out was very easy. We will continue to stay here on all of our visits back to Chicago. Our next room is already booked! Summertime in Chicago is the therapy we need while going through this difficult time. Thank you WP Inn for being awesome.

We stayed one night in the Cape Cod room at Wicker Park Inn. The room was lovely, very clean and well decorated. The furniture was comfortable...loved having an extra chair. The breakfast room was really nice...great selection of fruit, bread, pastry, cereals, and even hard boiled eggs. We would have liked decaf coffee. The only drawback is the nearness of the train. It really is noisy.

We were able to walk to great restaurants and had easy access to the Metro to get around the city to many downtown locations. We had a wonderful Anniversary weekend here. It will be hard to beat. My only disappointment was a well prepared breakfast, but there was by no means a good breakfast to be had, but it was a more continental breakfast.

This is a great location, not too far from downtown and lots of wonderful local restaurants within strolling distance. Room was perfect for a 4-night stay, warm and comfortable when it was very cold outside. Bathroom and kitchen was well layed out and convenient. We came in later than expected because of delayed flights and the management was VERY accommodating. Only negative was a couple of the rugs needed to be washed, not just vacuumed.

We stayed at the WPI for three nights. We had a lot we wanted to see and do in a short amount of time. We were up early - sampling the vegan breakfast options at local places in the neighbourhood (so we missed the included breakfast, but we had to maximise our running around time! and we missed interacting with the staff other than quick hellos, etc., which were great. All the staff seemed so friendly and amenable). And we were coming back late. The room was on the ground floor, so it was great - felt like we lived in the neighbourhood. It was spacious with an enormous and comfy bed, super clean and just great. We slept soundly and barely heard the city noises. Loved the location. Overall, just fantastic and we'd stay again.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Wicker Park in last May. Service was great and the room was comfortable. It was nice to have a kitchen and refrigerator to help us save our leftovers or make snacks when we wanted to save a little cash. The location was ideal. It was so close to shopping, the train, and restaurants. We would gladly stay again.

We stayed in the Chicago Room last week which is backed up to the train track....yes, the trains come through, but they did not interfere with sleeping. Earplugs are provided if you do have a problem. The Chicago room is spacious and has a little balcony; it sleeps three. The rooms are nicely decorated and very clean. The light breakfasts are good enough and self serve with fresh fruit, cereals, yogurt, and little breakfast sandwiches. The location is less than 2 blocks to the Blue Line Damen el station and to the bus line. There are wonderful restaurants, coffee shops, and shopping all around. WPI is not fancy, but it is a great place to stay on a quiet tree lined street and it is only 3 stops from downtown. The apartment across the street is perfect for five people, with a kitchen and gathering space. The staff is friendly and efficient.
5 on May 18, 2015
I stayed there for 12 days at the start of May 2015. The Inn is an ideal centre for reaching the Loop (less than 30 minutes south on the Blue Line) or for exploring neighborhoods further north. O'Hare airport is a few stops north on the same line. Close to the 'El' line itself but quiet, and with every facility one could ask for; I look forward to staying there again next year.

The room is nice. The service is great. The nearby community is interesting. However, it is too close to CTA track. Quite noisy! The worse is the noise continues 24 hrs.
Thank you for your feedback. We have two rooms that face the train, and we note this in our room descriptions. Many of our guests have not taken issue with the train, but we do not recommend for light sleepers. We offer a white noise radio and ear plugs to help. We hope that you will stay with us again in a more suitable room.

Wicker Park Inn is the most charming, comfortable and affordable place to stay! Their rooms are gorgeous, spacious and so incredibly clean! The staff is so helpful and ensures that you are taken care of and happy! On top of having beautiful rooms, I was also very impressed that a full continental breakfast was included. This is THE place to stay if you are coming to Chicago and I know I will be back!!

The location was outstanding and the neighborhood charming. Wicker Park Inn was a great place to stay. The rooms are small and the closet space limited but that is to be expected in a historic building. The service was fine. They did not clean the room the second day but that was OK. It was very clean and we loved having a kitchen with all of the necessary essentials. There were four of us. It did not seem too crowded.

3 amazing days in this pittoresque B&B The studio vas very clean and cheerful with its red kitchen and its beautiful linens for the bed. We didn't have any issue while we were there. A little gem in the middle of a very lively neighborhood (nice restaurants and cafés, the flat iron arts building for some theatrical experiences, lomography for its vintage cameras, revolution brewery for any kind of beers you want and very innovative pizzas) The Blue Line studio makes you totally independent from the B&B itself but you can choose to have your breakfast in the main kitchen for a little extra
So glad you got a chance to experience Chicago like a local. The Blue Line studio is a perfect little apartment to enjoy true city living. Thanks for the lovely review.

The Wicker Park Inn was a fantastic choice for a weekend of apartment hunting in Chicago! The location was ideal, and near many fantastic restaurants, coffee shops, and unique clothing stores. Additionally, our hosts were exceptionally welcoming and helpful in making recommendations for places to check out nearby. Transit was easily accessible and took just ten minutes or so to get to the loop. The breakfast options were quite good, and included fresh fruit, sandwiches, pastries, breads etc. each day. Our only complaint was that noise carried from the rooms next door and upstairs, so sleeping with ear plugs was a must!

I think this is the only hotel or b&b in Wicker Park which is a super fun neighborhood in Chicago. My friends and I enjoyed a girls weekend at this place and would definitely return. Very friendly and helpful staff and the breakfast and snacks were great.

Wonderful location. Only suggestion: it would have been nice if the mirror in our room was put back up for our stay. I'm sure they will have it up soon but it was a tad inconvienient not to have a second mirror. Room was large and clean. Walking distance to great shops, restaurants, bakeries. Would definitely stay again. Love the parking right in front!

I used to live in Chicago, near Wicker Park and Bucktown, and discovered this place by accident. The heating in my apartment was out in the middle of a brutal Chicago winter, my wife and I needed a place to not freeze-to-death in, and the Wicker Park Inn was the nearest place with an open room. The staff was nice and courtesy, the room was beautiful, and we ended up having a great time. This was the first time we'd come back to Chicago since we moved away and the Wicker Park Inn was a natural choice. Clean rooms, nice amenities, and in a quiet neighborhood close to Bucktown/Wicker Park's eclectic bars, restaurants, and shops. I think it's a MUCH better way of experiencing Chicago then the tourist-trap hotels in ritzier places like Michigan Ave. Highly recommended!

The B&B has very nice rooms with private baths and free wi-fi. It's located close to the L (which in fact runs right behind the house). Parking is available for free on the street. They give you a series of day passes for the neighborhood. We had no trouble finding a spot, though the time of year might have had something to do with that. The hosts were quite pleasant and always available for questions.
4.4 on January 06, 2015
We took a quick trip and stayed in the Wicker Park Room. Did the romantic bonus and got logs for two nights in the fireplace. The room was spacious, lovely. Only drawback was the thin walls - you can hear everything going on around you, but overall the place was quiet, charming and very convenient. I would certainly go back! Hosts are lovely and the area is great!

I stayed in the Wicker Park Room which was nicely decorated and had a very comfortable bed. The room is on the first floor and right next to the main entrance which made for a loud stay.. Te location made the noisy room worth while.
4.6 on November 09, 2014
I felt very comfortable at Wicker Park and as a solo traveller on this trip, I enjoyed the modest company of other guests. Robyn and her staff o a great job at making people feel welcome and comfortable. The kitchen is a bonus as guests can make drinks and snacks anytime- which is much better than most American accomodation. The Cape Cod room upstairs is best, as the back rooms are right on the trainline which has trains that are both frequent and very noisy. Walls are floor are not very soundproof, so noise from other guests can travel.

This was a WONDERFUL place to stay. My lower rating under dining refers to the fact that a full continental breakfast was provided, but not a full meal. The food was not bad, I just missed the b&b charm and uniqueness.

I was in Chicago for some business training and had to leave before breakfast was served, but they always had the coffee pot set to start very early so that was a nice touch. It was convenient to amazing restaurants, Walgreen's and the fun atmosphere of Wicker Park!

Wicker Park Inn always is a wonderful place to stay. We stayed in the 3 bedroom apartment. The linens were thick and crisp, kitchen well stocked for cooking meals if needed. The 3rd bedroom has a twin daybed, which if 3 couples stay it is a bit awkward I would think. We had 2 couples, one 88 year old and a 30 year nephew. So moving the mattress to the living room floor was needed. Having said that I should have researched the room arrangement better. The rate was a bit off for me...It seems a flat rate for the apartment would better than adding extra for the 2 or more. YES, we will stay again! The staff is accommodating and friendly! Loved the Halloween décor! The dining score is unsatisfactory as the breakfast is not included with this apartment and I could not continue until selection maybe need choice of not applicable!
3.4 on October 20, 2014
Very much enjoyed my recent stay at the Wicker Park Inn. We stayed in the Chicago room with the El right behind it, but it was not noisy at all. Nice choices for breakfast although I am a tea drinker and the water was always cold. Room was clean and comfortable. Only suggestion would be to add a shelf by the sink in the bathroom. With the pedestal sink there is no place to put makeup, curling irons, etc.
3.2 on October 14, 2014
Good value for Wicker Park, Chicago. Parking is a value in itself. Carpet outdated and dirty. Needs replaced. Staff was accommodating with requests. Outside lighting too dark for Tuscan Room at night cuz of the step on sidewalk. Bed was comfy.

I just happened to stumble upon the fact that Wicker Park had B&B's. I lived here when I first came to the states and in Bucktown after college. The room was adorable. They staff was excellent and very personable. I was bragging to everyone how I discovered this rare gem. I only stayed one night, therefore I didn't rate it above exceeded expectation. But, I will definitely be staying here on my next trip for a longer period of time. The breakfast was great and the coffee was excellent. Thank you Wicker Park Inn for a wonderful stay. -Kai

3.8 on September 25, 2014
Thus urban B&B is located in a very walkable location to many wonderful restaurants and interesting places to check out. The Tuscan room was a comfortable King with a daybed. The bathroom was small, but updated but without much shelf space or towel rack for storing used towels. There is a small fridge. Walls are thin and you are right by the EL, which did not bother us. We enjoyed our stay. The people were excellent to work with. We would stay here again. Got there on a Thursday night and parked our car until we left Monday morning!

Since I've stayed at The Wicker Park Inn for the past three Riot Fest weekends, I know what to expect from the rooms and service. If this was my first stay I'd have rated each of the categories as outstanding. I plan on returning next year and will book again as soon as the Riot Fest dates are announced.
4.8 on September 18, 2014
This is our second year staying at Wicker Park Inn during RiotFest and we can't imagine staying anywhere else! Clean, comfortable (the best mattress EVER) and reasonably priced. The Blue Line Room is NOT for light sleepers- as the name hints to, the Blue line L runs RIGHT past. To be honest, we didn't even notice the train after about an hour. Love having the facilities to cook our own meals and that the kitchen is stocked with the basic tools to whip up & eat breakfast/lunch or dinner. Just BYOF (bring your own food). Parking can be a bit of a pain over the weekend- my recommendation is park the car (don't forget to change your temporary permit stickers!) and use public transit. There's both a Divvy station and a #70 Division bus stop about two blocks away on Division. Not to mention the CTA stops on Milwaukee Ave. right around the corner. We ordered an Uber car on Sunday night and they were there in fewer than 5 minutes. This is our go to spot in Chicago. We LOVE it.

Since parking can be costly anywhere in downtown Chicago we chose to stay in Wicker Park and ride the train into downtown. Wicker Park Inn made that so easy to do. We had easy street parking right in front of our B&B and we were about 4 blocks from the train station. Our room was large and our private bath was very nice. We will definitely stay here again when we are in Chicago.

I usually stay downtown Chicago on buisness trips but this time I needed to be in the Wicker Park area so I tried a non-chain option and was thrilled with the find. Not only could I walk to everywhere I needed to go, the free time was filled with wonderful new restaurants, and very interesting shopping opportunities. Since my wife joined me on this trip, that was very important. When I did have to run to downtown, it was a quick and easy drive. Our accomodations allowed me to work from the room as well as relax in the evening and not feel like I was stuck in a hotel room. The value compared to where I usually stay was remarkable. Better accomodations, street parking (included), and a lovely neighborhood that invites an evening stroll. I definitely will be staying here again.

The location of the inn was its greatest draw. Perfectly nesseled between Milwaukee ave. and division street. Short walks to damen and north ave. The inn it's self was very clean and organized. Quiet and low key, it felt like we were staying at a friends house for the weekend. Discount on room rate if paying with cash. I will definitely be a return customer and will be recommending the inn to every one I know.

My friend and I enjoyed our visit immensely. The space is clean, the staff is friendly, and the location is in a great neighborhood near many shops, restaurants and bars. It's also close to the CTA station. I'd recommend Wicker Park Inn to anyone visiting Chicago.

I am a 50ish woman traveling alone. I went to Chicago to visit family in the area. I very much enjoyed the inn. Staff were friendly and competent. I had a kitchen in my room and ate breakfasts I made myself so didn't have that supplied by the inn. Very much enjoyed that they specifically said they would do the dishes!! I was in the blue line room and it is true that you can hear the train go by. It never woke me. I found it a pleasant whirr and it didn't bother me. They also have a special white noise clock that offered fun alternatives to silence. I particularly enjoyed "thunder." Bed and linens very comfortable. Good water pressure in the shower. Good storage for clothes and bags. I would have appreciated stronger lighting for reading and work. Also an easy chair. (There were two bistro chairs and a table for eating and work.) I would also have liked a fan, but to be fair I never requested one; it's possible they had them but just not in my room. Close to restaurants, shopping and the El. Manager was quick to give maps and other info at check-in. 5% discount with cash; payment at check-in. Quaint and charming neighborhood a block away from busier street. I used Uber to get around and had excellent and inexpensive service. Would HIGHLY recommend looking into that app.

The Inn was ideal for us being a short train ride from downtown, and a real change from the usual chain hotel/motel option. We got a lot of useful local advice on places to eat and drink from the girl who booked us in. The only down side that we found is that it is very close to the train line which was noisy as they went past.

Not in the hustle and bustle of city but still lots of restaurants, bars and shops to keep you busy. Just a few stops on metro to get to the centre of city and its attractions The B & B was in a residential area, there was a bit of noise from metro going past but this didn't affect our stay. Lovely place to stay

It was mine and my girlfriends first time in Chicago. We found the Wicker Park Inn and stayed in the Tuscany Room. The place was very clean, quiet and cute. The owner, I forget her name, was very very helpful and kind. Guided us through attractions in Chicago as well as travel routes. Made the day so easy! It was very rainy out there and the complimentary umbrella saved the day! My gf was raving about the comfort and size of the beds. I was excited that we were a quick subway ride away from Mag Mile, Lincoln Park and Navy Pier, while still being in a town that had its own little character. Would recommend to friends when they visit Chicago

The room was very nice and private with its own entrance. Very spacious. The only negative thing is that you have to get used to the subway train passing by every 30 seconds. The hostess was very friendly, offering dining suggestions and directions.

I was happy to find that the location of the Wicker Park Inn was very close and convenient to my favorite areas of Wicker Park and Bucktown, I thought the close proximity to the train would keep me awake but it was surprisingly muffled. This was my first stay in a Bed and breakfast. I was not excited about the breakfast at all (it was standard cheap motel breakfast). But, the room was spacious and clean and reasonably priced.

On a tree lined street near many shops and restaurants. Near trains to downtown. The staff is very helpful. Rooms next to Kitchen noisy and breakfast is continental. However, snacks fruit, coffee and tea are available 24 hours. The rooms in front get great light and less train noise which I did not find annoying. The Cape Cod room is spacious and comfortable with nice in suite bathroom. WiFi was easily accessible.

We arrived and were met by a pleasant person. Next morning, another person was there at breakfast time and she was very helpful in adding us as to how to get by public transport to various places. We also found that it was nice to be able to help ourselves to coffee and/or tea web we wanted and that the provided snacks were great.

I stayed at the Wicker Park Inn in May 2014 with my boyfriend. We were visiting Chicago from the UK for the first time. The room was spacious and comfortable (particularly the beds which were very comfortable!). As the room we stayed in was in the basement it was very dark and a little gloomy but that was better than it being too bright when we wanted to have a lie in in the mornings! I would recommend the Wicker Park Inn to other people visiting Chicago.

We have stayed at the Wicker Park B&B several times now, but this time was was the first time we had rented an "apartment". It was large, with 3 bedrooms, a full kitchen and cozy living area. It was a great space for us as we were meeting family in Chicago for a few days. This is just like living in the city! Our only "complaint" was you could hear the people above us. It was nothing we couldn't handle, as it wasn't late at night or really early in the morning, but it's truly like living in the city! We will continue to stay here as it's an fabulous location, and the staff is super friendly and helpful!

This was our first stay at the Wicker Park Inn, but it will not be our last! Our daughter and son-in-law live in a small condo nearby and for years we have been trying to find a place to stay when we visit them that met our high standards and was convenient to them and the "el"! This is it! We stayed in the Wicker Park Room which is in the front of the Inn. It was very clean and comfortable. We were there 9 nights so it was starting to feel a lot like home by the time we left. Robin, the innkeeper, is very friendly and helpful. The free WiFi was extremely convenient as my husband had to work several days and he was able to do so from our room. As far as proximity to the el......if you are a light sleeper, I would recommend buying some cheap earplugs! Takes care of it and you can enjoy this gem of an inn in a very trendy part of Chicago! We will be back!

I really enjoyed my recent stay at the Wicker Park Inn. The staff is very friendly and extremely accommodating. Unfortunately my arrival was delayed by more than 6 hours but they sent out multiple emails detailing how to retrieve my keys and even followed up with a late night call to make sure I made it in safe. The Tuscan room is quite nice with street access. The Inn itself is not even a block from all the restaurants, shopping and nightlife of Wicker Park so it's in a great location. As for the dining the only reason I didn't rate it higher is because I did not take advantage of the breakfast. It did look like a nice enough spread though and the fridge was fully stocked with multiple juices, water, etc.

I found wicker park inn through Google hotel search. The hotel had an incredible deal for the Chicago room including free parking. It was only 10mins drive from downtown city. Room was clean, service fantastic and receptionist lady was welcoming and nice to us. My wife enjoyed the stay which was important since it was a honeymoon. Overall no regrets staying here :-)

We stayed at the Wicker Park Inn for one night so we wouldn't have to drive back to the suburbs after a late-night family party near to the Inn. I had positive expectations after reading so many positive reviews, and they were more than fulfilled. Managers are helpful and attentive. Room was large, well-lit, and very clean. We stayed "across the street" in the garden apartment for maximum quiet, and it was quiet. The breakfast was varied and ample. Within short walking distance of cafes and restaurants. The street itself is a pretty residential street. I recommend....

Terrifically convenient location, only a few blocks to the L. Robin and her entire staff are most accommodating and responsive. Great accommodations, ideal location, affordable rates and fantastic staff. Keep in mind that rooms do not come equipped with phones. Thank you.

My husband and I stayed at the Inn for a weekend while visiting our daughter. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the Chicago Room on the first floor was cozy and warm (especially since we visited during a blizzard and sub-zero temperatures!), and the breakfast and snacks were perfect for our needs. We will not hesitate to stay there again ANY time we're in Chicago.

Innkeeper was very warm and gracious, helpful and clear. We were in Chicago during an epic storm--12" snow blizzard, followed by historic cold - minus 18 degrees. The Inn was clean, warm, and the Innkeepers started ahead of the snow shoveling. When our flights out were cancelled, they accommodated us for another night. Only issue at all was sound proofing between and around rooms. But that was minor for us.
5 on January 06, 2014
They were immensely accommodating to my early arrival, had the room cleaned, located taxis when I needed them, there was a constant supply of coffee(!), and I couldn't fight fault with anything at all. Robin is absolutely wonderful, and goes out of her way to ensure your stay meets your needs and standards in every way. Breakfast was great, and they have a nice line-up of self-serve in the morning. The room was lovely and warm (I was in Cape Cod), and perfectly prepared for January. The bathroom was clean, there was no dearth of towels, and the closet has an ironing board and extra blankets. All of this when I had given them a 24-hour span between my booking and arrival. Overall, a fantastic little place, excellently located, and very welcoming.

We stayed in the Garden apartment. Nice set up with comfortable 2 queens and a nicely stocked kitchen. We did not eat or cook in except for making coffee. Our Daughter moved to Wicker Park so we immediately set out to find a place to stay nearby. The Wicker Park Inn is a great place and only a block away from her house. we are not typical B&B customers but absolutely loved the private apartments across the street. We stayed in the lower room with 2 queens and a kitchen but will opt for the 3 bedroom apt above next time. Robin and the staff were great. The surrounding area is full of shops and dining easily walked to.

Stayed two nights in the Bucktown Apartment, and two nights downstairs in the Garden Apartment. Bucktown was great - pretty much a nice little walk-up apartment with all the amenities. Great deal split three ways. The Garden Apartment was more like a normal hotel suite, with two doubles (though the bathroom was nicer than Bucktown). The location is fantastic. On a quiet street a block from the main Wicker Park strip on Milwaukee, two blocks from another food/drink strip on Division, and a few blocks away from an L-train station. Couldn't hope for a more walkable neighborhood. Would definitely return if staying in Chicago again.

I stayed in the 'garden apartment' across the street from the main building, so I can only speak to that. It was a fairly large 'studio' apartment with two king size beds, a small desk, a small but functional kitchen (with basic stuff like a coffee maker, stove top, glasses, flatware, etc). Nothing too extravagant, but just what I wanted in a good neighborhood that's outside of the hectic downtown area, but not too far to where you can take public transportation or a cheap cab ride pretty much anywhere you want to go.
5 on October 07, 2013
Conveniently located in the Wicker Park area. The garden apartment provided good value for the money and a better option than a motel. We have stayed there twice per year for the past three years. Highly recommend for any traveler looking for a nice place at a good price. The apartment has cooking facilities, so you are on your own for meals.

My fiance and I visited Chicago for Riot Fest in September 2013. We stayed in the Chicago room and were so completely happy with our stay. We had a friend stay with us the last two nights of our stay and not only did we receieve a free parking pass for the entire time we were there, but our friend did as well. The room was very spacious and clean. I can't believe I've wasted so much money at other hotels in the area. Even though our room was closest to the L, we didn't find the noise a hindrance to our sleep at all. The little balcony was really nice too. Wicker Park Inn was close to the Daemon Blue Line stop and lots of little shops and restaurants in Wicker Park. The staff was very friendly. I can't say enough good things about Wicker Park Inn. We will definitely be staying here again on our next trip to Chicago.
4.8 on September 27, 2013
The wicker park inn is in central wicker park with tons of restaurants and shops within walking distance. It was our second time staying here and we chose the same room we had last time, the blue line studio. You can hear the train passing because it is right outside of the room but we didn't find it disturbing in any way. The kitchen is stocked with cooking utensils in case you want to make your own food, but we dined out. The b&b had breakfast provided every morning with plenty of delicious options and the people were very nice. Also they give a little discount for paying in cash, which was nice. All in all, a great value for visiting Chicago!!! We will definitely return to the wicker park inn when we make future trips to the city.

Great little room (I say little but the kitchen is bigger than my home kitchen). Clean, comfy, extremely reasonable rate for the location... but not quiet. We knew that going in and I enjoyed the train noise from the L but like the website says, the Blue Line room "may not" be a room for light sleepers. To be honest, after we'd been there about an hour we didn't even notice the train anymore. Your results may vary. We had a minor housekeeping issue EARLY on Sunday morning and they were quick and courteous in helping get it resolved. Highly recommend... just not on a weekend that we want the room.
4.0 on September 03, 2013
Overall, I had a nice stay. The bed was comfy and even though my room backed up to the train tracks, it wasn't too loud. The fresh fruit and other breakfast items were nicely prepared and tasty, although there was no "hot" breakfast prepared, outside of a toaster. There's a nice side courtyard for enjoying breakfast as well and the staff I met was very nice and friendly. I would recommend better pillows - the ones in my room were very flat and not the most comfortable, but other than that, all good.

We stayed in this Inn because it was located near family we were visiting. We were a little concerned about the location near the elevated subway but found that even our room which was closest to the tracks was much quieter than expected. No problem sleeping. The room was a good size, the staff was very helpful and a nice breakfast selection was provided. Parking is a little tight but we were able to find spots in front of the building and the management provides permits. It is a great area with lots of interesting restaurants and convenient to the subway. A great place to stay in an interesting neighborhood

I was in Chicago to visit family but I didn't want to inconvenience my brother and wife who recently had a baby. Wicker Park Inn was a convenient distance and located in a great neighborhood. I stayed in the Blue Line studio and it was great. The space was very clean and the bed was comfortable. I didn't spend much time in my room, but I would recommend for an extended stay as it has a full kitchen available. Wi-Fi is also available and the in-keepers were very friendly during check-in and check out. Though located behind the L, the noise from the train didn't disturb my sleep at all. There are many shops and places to eat close by. I recommend Piece to share a pizza and have a beer with friends and the Emporium for cold drinks and retro video games. And for bibliophiles, check out Quimby's and Myopic books. Overall I found Wicker Park Inn very charming and ideal for an urban summer retreat and will definitely stay again.

I had not visited Chicago since I was a little kid and when I made the reservations at Wicker Park I hadn't really paid attention to where it was located just that the rooms looked nice and price is great. After I settled in I walked out to get a bite to eat only to find restaurants galore. Right on the side of public transportation, a hop and a skip from great food, and a clean room, it's hard to beat that.

The Wicker Park Inn provides a unique opportunity to experience a very interesting, diverse, and stimulating Chicago neighborhood, outside the usual tourist options. Good tips on where to go within close walking distance, including free access to a fine health club. Fine small local restaurants and brewery.

I stayed for five nights in late July 2013. I had the Chicago room which is a pretty spacious room in the rear of the building, with a small balcony, a queen bed and a daybed. It has a large closet and a large bathroom with shower/tub. It is right off the kitchen/breakfast room, but that never was a problem. Breakfast was laid out each morning - a selection of fresh cut fruit, pastries, small ham and cheese sandwiches, muffins, bagels, cereal, coffee and tea, orange juice. It was an easy start to the day. I ended up having to do a few work meetings while I was there and although I had a problem with the wifi once (on a Sunday), Robin, the innkeeper promptly dealt with the problem the next day (she was off on Sunday; I probably could have called but I was able to work around it). I parked on the street and despite it being the weekend of Wicker Park Fest, I had no problem finding street parking within a block of the building. Great location to walk to restaurants, bars, cafes and the El. Will definitely be back!

We stayed at Wicker Park Inn for three nights during our honeymoon. It is in a great location, in between two blue line 'L' stops and in a super fun and funky neighbourhood. There are lots of great places to eat and vintage shops for shopping. The room was elegantly decorated and provided everything we needed. I especially liked the added touch of make up remover clothes in the bathroom. I have never seen that before and they were so handy to have. Breakfast was varied and plentiful - there were even options of snacks to take for the day. They provided lots of maps and information booklets to make it a great stay. I would highly recommend!

The Wicker Park Inn was wonderful. The Chicago room was great and do not be scared off by the CTA train in the back yard, you can barely hear it. The breakfast was nice (fresh fruit and pastaries) where you could come and go as you pleased. The Inn itself is in a perfect location in the up and coming Wicker Park area with several great restaurants (Piece, Bongo Room, Mirai) along with being right on the Blue Line a few short blocks to Dameon station. Overall this was an amazing find and one we will certainly book next time!

My wife and I recently returned from a trip to Chicago with a 3 night stay in the Chicago Room of this inn. The inn is well managed, with good service and a very helpful staff. The Chicago Room is in the back near the train, which wasn't as noisy as some reviews claimed. The train is slowing at this point and the tracks are on concrete, which seems to reduce the noise. We did use earplugs, though and I can say that I couldn't hear the train at all. The continental breakfast is good, though some gluten free options for pastries would be helpful.

The room was large and comfortable however the variations in the floor levels made for danger in the dark. Also a pillar between the beds was another danger. Once we adjusted to those hazards, we found our stay to be enjoyable. The train station was a far walk. It was a good way to see the interesting stores. The bus stop was much closer.

This was our first time at a B & B, and it was more than we expected. It was in a perfect neighborhood location where is was quiet but in close walking distance to the city for shopping and great cuisine from well known restaurants. There is also easy access to the Chicago Transit system. We stayed in the Cape Cod Room which was decorated as if you were staying on Cape Cod, it was as if we had never left home. We will definitely stay here again if we are in Chicago visiting. We really liked the staff because they were very helpful and knowledgeable to our questions. We also liked the intimacy of a B & B instead of the hotels and resorts that we have stayed at previously. It was nice to wake up, meet and talk with other guests in the morning, and see what everyone had planned for the day. The Wicker Park Inn also served a Continental Breakfast that was excellent. All in all, is was a perfect decision to stay here during our son's graduation from Chicago Kent Law School. Five stars across the board for us! Book well in advance. Thank you for a wonderful stay. There are so many restaurants nearby and to fit every taste and price range. We ate at Trenchermen's, where they were friendly and able to accommodate my food allergies. We stayed in the Bucktown Apartment; it was totally quiet and private, perfect for couples and families.

We have stayed at the Wicker Park Inn enjoying the Cape Cod, Wicker Park, and the Garden Apartment. All of which were wonderful rooms. We did stay at the Tuscan this last time and found it extremely noisey. The Inn was booked and only one available. So wanting the closeness of the Inn to activities we booked the room. Please know that if you are a very heavy sleeper this room will not be a problem for you at night. As the "L" run quite frequently at night right outside the building. We knew this going in though did not image how noisey it was going to be. All in all we will return to the Wicker Park Inn as it is a extremely friendly, clean, and the value is outstanding. If time time premits, we will book very early for our next trip.

Stayed in apartment unit; not the Inn. Breakfast not provided. All other ratings outstanding. Since you do not have a NA category I checked unsatisfactory for food but I was aware of this ahead of time and this is not a criticism.

Would definitely stay here again.

The guest room includes a spacious king bed with large down pillows ensuring a restful sleep. As a light sleeper, I typically have a difficult time sleeping somewhere new. With the guest room, I fell asleep and remained sleeping throughout the entire night. I did not wake up to the train, but that could be because of the location of the room, which is located on the first floor near the door. The room is always kept neat. If you are out all day, when you return home, the bed is turned and new towels are in the bathroom. The shower never gets hot, but if you prefer warm showers, you will not be disappointed. The breakfast at the Inn is a typical continental breakfast stocked with a fresh fruit platter, coffee, tea, cereal, oatmeal, bagels, cream cheese, and the occasional ham and cheese croissant or hard boiled egg. Unfortunately, there is no place to make a hot breakfast like scrambled eggs and bacon. However, the breakfast is nice, but I recommend waking up early to get the best selection. I recommend staying at this quaint Inn and reserving the guest room for the best sleep.

We enjoyed our first stay in the WPI -- the Bucktown Apartment was perfect! All rooms were tastefully decorated and user friendly. The host, Laura was very accommodating -- the beds were ultra comfy and we WILL be back! This would be perfect for friends staying together or a family. We went into town for breakfast -- Milk & Honey Cafe, delicious recommendation!

On a side street close to all of Wicker Park's charms, this comfortable B & B is a convienient place to reside. The room was very clean and nicely appointed. The kitchen spotless and breakfast tastey. Most important, the bed was comfortable and slept well. All in all, a very nice place to spend as the base point for the week end.

We stayed in the Chicago room and the pictures did not do it justice. It was extremely spacious, spotlessly clean, and very comfortable! Hosts were friendly and helpful and the food was the best we encountered in similar style B&Bs in the US. The only downside was that our room was not serviced daily but we assume this was an oversight and didn't really impact on our stay. Next time we are in Chicago we will definitely return without a doubt.

We rented the 3-bedroom apartment for our 3 night stay in Chicago for 3. We were joined by our daughter and her finance the last night. It exceeded our expectations. It was comfortable and quiet, nestled between Milwaukee and North Division. With so many fine restaurants nearby, we didn't cook but snaked and made coffee in the morning (supplied by the Inn, along with creamers and sugar). We would highly recommend the Wicker Inn and will no doubt plan to stay again on our next trip.

We stayed at the Wicker Park Inn February 20-22. I couldn't have imagined a better experience. I would HIGHLY recommend it to any visitors to the Chicago area. The location is perfect for going to the United Center or downtown, which is easily accessible both by car and train. We were greeted by Robin and let into our room at 2pm. She provided stickers to park on the street and we were always able to find a spot very close. Upon arrival, we were given maps and tips about the best local places to visit. The bed was comfy. The closet is large and extra bedding, an umbrella, and ironing board were provided. The kitchen is nice and there is anything you need provided for cooking. There was even coffee already there for you! The bathroom is small but very clean. Cable is provided. On Thursday, the housekeeping asked if we wanted fresh towels or bedding but we declined. It snowed heavily from Thursday to Friday. Walkways and sidewalks were promptly cleared! In the Blue Line room you can hear the Blue Line train as it passes throughout the day and night. I suppose if you are a light sleeper this could be bothersome but it did not disrupt myself or my partner at all. I liked that the room felt very private (the entrance is around the back of the Inn). The area around WPI is young. We enjoyed just walking around and exploring. The Inn is close to the Blue Line station, which took us downtown quickly. The neighborhood definitely felt safe day and night. I would highly recommend this Inn over a hotel experience. Our room was like having our own efficiency apartment in a good neighborhood of Chicago for a few days. After walking around and exploring, it felt like coming home at the end of the day. I was very impressed and look forward to returning to WPI this summer. This place has definitely earned my loyalty for future Chicago visits.

We recently stayed at the Wicker Park Inn for four nights while visiting our son, who lives three blocks away. The Bucktown apartment was perfect for our needs! It was nice and roomy, and we were able to spread out and really settle in for our stay. We loved having our own kitchen for a quick breakfast in the morning, and the fridge was handy for snacks and drinks. The free parking was a huge bonus! The Wicker Park Inn was a wonderful alternative to a large, pricey hotel. We will definitely be back!

Our stay in the garden apt was a wonderful time spent. we loved the large area and kitchen to cook. It was a perfect place for my husbands birthday. our son llives in wicker park so we wanted to be close to him and still have fun on our own. wonderful quiet street (the L didn't bother us at all) we loved the deal we got in the winter which allowed us the bigger room. we looked at the b&b rooms across the street and will try next time. the staff was wonderful, friendly and helpful. We got suggestions for local coffee shops a block away and great restaurants! la Bouchon amazing and Big Star for a great mexican (mixing with young and older) a real find for us and definitely we will be back again and again

The Wicker Park Inn is a lovely B&B in the heart of Wicker Park. I often travel to Chicago but have usually stayed downtown but decided this time to stay in a residential neighborhood. I was not disappointed. Access to downtown was easy via the train, but Wicker Park has so much to offer including cute boutiques and excellent restaurants that I didn't feel much need to make the quick trip. My room (Cape Cod) and attached bath were very comfortable, clean and attractive. The staff were terrific - friendly and full of great advice. I loved that breakfast was available quite late so I didn't feel the need to "rush" out of bed. If you want to get to know a real Chicago neighborhood that has much to offer, you definitely cannot go wrong staying at the Wicker Park Inn.

My business partner and I were in town for a professional development class and stayed at Wicker Park Inn. The room was very clean, we enjoyed our own private entrance and the continental breakfast. Staff was very nice. Short walk to all that's happening in Wicker Park. The room was a little loud, but we weren't use to being in a big city. I would definitely stay there again.

My family and I stayed in the Bucktown Apartment, which is separate from the rest of the B&B. We found it to be a great value, and we wanted to be in the Wicker Park neighborhood to be close to family. The apartment was much nicer than the photos had led us to believe. We did have a few minor problems. The front bedroom (the largest) was incredibly cold at night. The rest of the apartment stayed warm. While I understand that it's winter in Chicago, there are steps to take to make sure the room stays warm enough to at least sit in comfortably in a sweater. Also, there was a nail sticking out of one of the floorboards in the living room that we had to be constantly aware of (a couple of us lost socks). Finally, the housekeeping on the weekend was sloppy, with nothing getting replenished. On Monday everything was great. I'd probably stay here again.
4.6 on January 17, 2013
The room was extremely nice, the service was good, breakfast was perfect for our needs and it was wonderfully quiet during the entire time we were in the inn. It is also close to so many things in the city, so it was an ideal location.

We stayed in the Bucktown apartment during a weekend in January. It fit our needs perfectly and is a great alternative to a high rise chain hotel! It was very comfortable for our group of 5 and had everything we needed. We will definitely stay in the Wicker Park Inn again! Didn't have breakfast included, but there were a lot of great places to walk to for meals and a well equipped kitchen.

My stay at the Wicker Park Inn could not have been any more perfect. Robin was incredibly helpful, and kind--the perfect host; and the apartment I stayed in was absolute perfection. Not only was the place spotlessly clean, but it was well decorated and felt cozy. Another thing I was incredibly impressed by were all of the things available to me in the apartment, from having coffee on hand, to even having those towelettes we women use to take off our makeup--it was all there, which made me feel well taken care of. There's no other place I'll be staying when I come back to Chicago--I can't say enough good things about the WP Inn.

We stayed three nights on one of the most uncomfortable mattresses I've ever experienced. There was never truly hot water for showers, and the walls were so thin we could hear entire conversations of our neighbors. I can only assume the innkeepers do not like their guests, as the one and only time we saw an employee was when they wanted a credit card for payment. The breakfast left a lot to be desired. Rather than the typical decadent breakfast most B&Bs serve, breakfast was identical each day and nothing hot was offered. It centered largely around store-bought pastries and cold fruit. The inn was conveniently located to friends we were visiting, but I would not recommend it to anyone looking for the comfort of a B&B experience.
3.4 on October 21, 2012
Very pleased with the Wicker Park Inn. Breakfast was not included, which we knew in advance, and we did have a full kitchen available to us. The room was very nice and clean. The only thing that concerned us was that we had no control over the temperature in the room. But, we were comfortable at all times.
4.8 on October 15, 2012
We had an excellent stay at the Wicker Park Inn. The Wicker Park room is cozy with a king canopy bed. The television is small and gets Direct TV service. The bathroom was very clean and had new fixtures. Not much space for toiletries but we made do. Parking is on-street and requires use of the inn's temporary parking passes. We had no trouble parking right in front of the inn, but we arrived mid-afternoon and didn't move our car until we checked out. If you're arriving at night, we noticed that parking was much tighter in the neighborhood after 6pm, so you may have to circle the block a few times to get a spot. The neighborhood itself is delightful. The residential streets were quiet and seemed to be populated by young families and professionals. The residential areas were very clean and kept-up. The main streets of the business district had every shopping and dining option you could imagine. We didn't eat in the Wicker Park Inn because we're not really breakfast people.during those hours. When it was breakfast time at 7:30, sleeping became impossible. Fortunately, we didn't want to sleep much later than that anyway. The only other noise was the El train, which came by at regular intervals during the day and evening. I never heard it in the middle of the night, and I am a light sleeper, so it must not be running during those hours. The inn is close to the Damon blue-line stop, so if you're going to the Loop and other downtown attractions, it's very convenient. All in all, we highly recommend Wicker Park Inn to young (age 20s-40s) couples like us who are vacationing in Chicago. We think you will love it, too.

This was a very quite, serviceable. B&B perfect for a business traveler or visitor that knows Chicago well. It is in a residential area that has close access to public transportation, many local eateries and artist targeted businesses. It is located in the newest "hip" area of Chicago.if you don"t care to walk to public transportation then the prepared to take a taxi to your destination. If you are new to Chicago and want to explore the downtown you would be better staying near attractions you plan to view. The Inn itself is very clean and hospitable. The room we stayed in was clean and comfortable. I would ask for any extras like more towels ,pillows etc. at check in or before arriving as there is some delay via phone especially on a weekend stay. They do respond but the manager did admit that on weekends all messages go to voicemail first. The manager was very friendly and helpful to first time visitors like us. The common kitchen was well stocked with standard essentials. A satisfying simple breakfast is available . A common refrigerator can be used for special private items. Depending on the habits of the other people staying there my require noise tolerance . We had early risers when we were there who were part of a family event . The conversations in the common area/next door room were very audible in our room . Conversely, you would be smart to remember this while you are in your room when you are having conversations or doing activities that you want privacy to be maintained. All in all we enjoyed staying here and felt as if we were staying at a home of a friend/relative of a mutual friend.

Too short getaway to Chicago. Wicker Park is an eclectic neighborhood with hip bars and great options for dining. The Inn is a short walk to the Blue line station so we were 20 minutes from all the great museums and parks of the Windy City. Our room was spotless, with a private bath w/shower, and a full red brick wall with wood-burning fireplace. Every morning we'd go upstairs to the common room for coffee and a great breakfast with fresh rolls, scones, and croissant breakfast sandwiches. There was always yogurt, cereal and toast available throughout the day. Robin, our host, was very friendly, and because she lived in the area, was very helpful to clue us in on great places to eat and drink in the area. Looking forward to going back soon.

I stayed in the 3-bedroom bucktown apartment which is across the street from the main B&B. It was lovely to have an entire home to myself for the rate the downtown hotels want for one tiny room! Laura and Robin were attentive and responsive to my requests. The wicker park/bucktown neighborhood has a great vibe: plenty of places to eat and drink, quirky thrift stores, fun shops, art galleries, and plenty more. I'm looking forward to staying here again on my next trip to Chicago! The only think I can't comment on is the food served at the B&B since the apartment comes equipped with its own kitchen and breakfast is not included. Between the cafes/bars/restaurants, independent grocers, and walgreens/7-11, I had plenty of food options.
3.4 on September 13, 2012
Other than having our catalytic converter stolen, the neighborhood was quite charming. Only real negative was the lack of internet service and the trouble with keeping a call on our cell phone. Reception was very poor. The people we met were very nice. The accommodations were lovely, the bed quite comfortable, and everything very clean.

We stayed in the Bucktown Apartment. There were 5 adults in our party. The Inn is in a great neighborhood with many options for food and coffee. Easy to get to public transportation - trains & buses. Rooms were very comfortable. A/C worked well and there were some ceiling fans, too.

We found the wicker park the night before we arrived on Yelp. What a great place Ina perfect neighborhood. The manager was really friendly and as we were travelling with a car load of stuff it was comforting knowing we had safe street parking at night. We'd recommend this to any of our friends and family.

We stayed here because our daughter lives in Wicker Park and we came to see her for a visit. We stayed in the Garden Apartment and it was perfect. Quiet, clean and the small kitchen allowed us to cook a full meal for our daughter and her friends. We were close to everything and we parked the car right on the street for free, which was great. We will be staying here again! Excellent!

The Wicker Park Inn is a very pleasant and comfortable B&B very conveniently located in downtown Chicago; very nice neighborhood, good restaurants, close to public transportation. We enjoyed our one night stay in a clean but small room, but did feel there was not the attention we are used to at B&Bs we have stayed at before. Maybe that's the "Urban" way: I do recommend the Wicker Park Inn as a clean, comfortable B&B in a very trendy neighborhood in Chicago, but don’t expect a great breakfast or cookies or pie….chatty, informative care takers you may be used to.

My wife and I stayed here on a weeknight for a getaway from the kids, a baseball game, and to check out all the various shops, restaurants, and bars in the Wicker Park/Bucktown area. These were easily accessible from the Inn, which was tucked away on a quiet side street. Our room (the Garden Apartment) did not come with breakfast, however the owner offered us some of the remnants (fruit, pastries, etc.) during our early check-in, which was very nice of them. Overall the room and service were great, better than I expected. The area of town was good for us too - plenty do to and at the same time close to the train. We decided to stay in the area a second night, which ended up being at the nearby Ruby Room (WPI was full or we would have gladly stayed there again). While both places were great in their own unique way and we would easily stay at either of them again, WPI would be my first choice. My wife and I had a wonderful trip and hope to do it again someday.
4.4 on July 27, 2012
We have stayed at the Wicker Park Inn several times and have always had a clean and comfortable room, pleasant breakfast and relaxing stay. The side yard offers a quiet outdoor spot to read the paper in the morning and the location near Milwaukee is very convenient. With the Parking Permit furnished by WPI, we found free parking spots at all times of the day and night. So much better than staying downtown!
3.4 on July 24, 2012
There are no individual temperature controls in the rooms; the temps outside were in the 90's. So in order to keep the upstairs rooms cool enough, the Tuscan room was extremely cold. There was an extra blanket for the bed, but getting out of bed to take a shower was a chilling experience! Parking was a problem. Permits for on-street parking are provided. However, about three spaces directly in front of the B&B are designated "loading zone" and allow 30-minute parking only - 24/7. We came home after 10 pm and there were no available spaces at all on Wicker Park Av. Breakfast was adequate, similar to what you get at Hampton Inn or Best Western, without the hot entree option. I love the sound of the El so having it so near was comforting for me. Possibly not everyone would appreciate it. In spite of preceding negative comments, I'd give the Inn a B grade. It's adequate lodging, the rooms are lovely, clean, and well kept up.
2.8 on July 20, 2012
The room was large & clean. However there were 2 questionable items.First, for $199 which is the cost of a downtown hotel with good amenities, I thought that breakfast should be included I saw the breakfast and it was $3 - $ 4 worth of food at most.Because I had a kitchenette room, this breakfast was not included.Since I was staying just one night, it was not practical for me to bring in breakfast supplies.A big box of cereal or a loaf of bread & a jar of jam plus buying a lb. of coffee for one night ... that's silly. Also, there were too many steps and half steps in this Garden Apt.I'm almost 70 and I had a huge fear of falling in the middle of the night. This room with a wide central pillar was too dangerous for me.Luckily I carry a flashlight. And if I tripped going to the bathroom at night, I'd break my head or teeth on the 2 inside steps.I probably won't be coming back.

Given the limited number of lodging options in the Bucktown/Wicker Park area, the Wicker Park Inn is a satisfactory choice. We stayed in the downstairs room which was clean and a nice size. Located in an area convenient to shops, restaurants, and bars. Located on the Blue line, which goes from/to O'Hare. Negatives: This is a converted house so it can be noisy; especially on the last morning the person in the room above was walking back and forth continually for at least an hour, and we heard every step. The breakfast was disappointing - basically comparable to Comfort Inn with fresher fruit but no waffles. Central air and heating can't be controlled by guests - was freezing first night/morning but better the next 2 nights. Notwithstanding problems, would stay here again.

We stayed in the Wicker Park room for four nights in July. The inn is clean and the room was spacious, breakfast was simple but filling. Robin was helpful with any questions we had. If you like a "do-it-yourself" type arrangement in a convenient location in Chicago, this is a good choice.

My fiancé and were looking for a cute little place to stay in Chicago to celebrate our four year anniversary. Given the location and amenities, the price was a steal, and it was an amazing experience. The room was comfortable, the bed was the most comfortable bed I or my fiancé had ever slept in. I took off marks for cleanliness only because as we were packing to leave I saw some trash left under the bed from a previous guest. Other than that the place was spotless. The breakfast was much more than I expected. The fruit selection in particular surprised me. It seemed everywhere we looked there was a new treat or goodie somewhere in the dining room. The location is amazing. A beautiful street in a neighborhood just off one of the main roads in the bustling Wicker park/ Bucktown area. Everything is walkable in the area. Or if you prefer, the train to the loop (or the airport) is less than a ten-minute walk. Would definitely stay again!

My teenage daughter and I stayed here for our first Mother/Daughter Get Away. We enjoyed exploring the Wicker Park neighborhood and the closeness of the el train made our daily trips to downtown Chicago easy. This was just the right amount of "adventure" for two suburban die-hards. Returning to the inn was like coming home each day. The most difficult thing was parallel parking on the street (I am not a city driver), but once parked, the car stayed put for our entire stay! Loved it!

What a lovely place to stay! The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Our room (Wicker Park) was gorgeous although it didn't have a bath tub (not a problem for us as we prefer showers anyway!) Our room was on the first floor (ground floor) and was accessed immediately as you enter the Inn. I was a little hesitant but noise was never a problem and being at the front of the building we barely heard the 'L' running along behind. The Inn is within easy reach of buses and trains. Breakfast was more than adequate with help-yourself pastries, bagels, breads, cereal, yoghurts and fruits. There was also coffee and a myriad of teas to choose from. You could also go and help yourself to most of this whenever you wished! The neighborhood is interesting with great restaurants and eateries for all palettes. I would highly recommend this Inn.

The Bucktown is beautiful, really nice rooms, kitchen, nice dining area. The Garden is an accident waiting to happen - little step-downs not delineated in both the bedroom/kitchen and bathroom. And it smells slightly of mold. Wouldn't recommend that room!

The staff is courteous, informative, and helpful. They insured that I had everything I needed, my questions were answered, and that I understood about parking. You get a permit to park included in your room rate. The location is ideal because you are within the city able to get to all areas quickly. The neighborhood is in a great area, and although you have to be careful everywhere, I observed neighbors out walking their pets, jogging, and sitting on their stoops in the late afternoon. The rooms are extremely clean and comfortable. If you want to stay in the city, I recommend this place highly!!!

My significant other and I recently stayed at the Wicker Park Inn for our one-year anniversary and our stay was amazing!!! We stayed in the Garden Unit and the pictures on the website do not give the unit justice! The kitchen had a big refrigerator, stove, pots, pans, dishes, deep sink, and cute dining area. The beds and pillows were cozy! The bathroom had soap, shampoo, and conditioner. This was our first time staying at a bed and breakfast so we were unsure of what to expect but this place made our nine-day Chicago trip so much more fantastic! One feature I really loved about our unit was the drawer space for our belongings! I could write all day about how wonderful the unit and Laura are but you don't want to be reading a novel. Laura is so helpful and sweet! She knows the area, gave us maps, and is great with responding to e-mails and phone calls! Book it now!!! Before I book it again and go back to Chicago! I am definitely staying here again when I go back!

Long weekend (4 nights) vacation in the Second City. Had never been to Chicago on a pleasure trip, always business at a downtown hotel.

We had the Wicker Park room downstairs, which is gorgeous, super clean, and huge. We loved the leafy street and the location. There's a fold-and-wash laundry just a few blocks away, and we really enjoyed our breakfast at Bongo Room nearby.

We spent three nights at the Wicker Park Inn this past weekend, and were very happy with our stay there. Our room was very comfortable, our hostess and staff were friendly and very accessible, and the location was excellent. Food (breakfast only) was delicious and plentiful, with snacks available at all times. Enjoyed meeting other guests. The only negative at all was the tight parking situation. Parking passes are given to guests, but there are not necessarily spaces that are available close to the Inn. There is, however, a loading zone so at least you can offload and load your luggage when you need to. All in all, I'd happily stay there again next time I'm in Chicago.

We stayed in the Garden Apartment across the street from the main B&B. It's actually a basement apartment. Plenty of room, nice kitchen/dining area. Only concern is the multi-level bathroom that had us all tripping. The staff was wonderful, helpful & responsive! The neighborhood and location is great. Will stay again! P.S. Our room did not get the b&B breakfast, but this site demanded I rate the food. I'm sure it was great!

We stayed in the Blue Line studio. It was great! We didn't get access to the food but there was no need since we were more interested in trying the local fare. The hotel manager was extremely helpful in telling us where to eat and how to get there. She was also helpful in giving us suggestions for things to do and how to get to places. The bed was extremely soft and comfortable. The location was perfect for us. We really enjoyed the area. Since the studio was in the back near the train, we heard low rumbling often but it didn't bother us and I slept through it without trouble. The B&B is also a 10 minute walk from either train stop and it is the Blue Line so it's one of the major lines. There is also a 24hr grocery store near the Division stop. I would definitely stay here again.

3rd time to stay in Chicago in the last couple of years and this place was by far the best location and well kept (clean). Wicker Park is a great location for a variety of close restaurants and is within walking distance to train station which goes downtown and out to Ohare airport. I felt very safe walking at night with friends and family. You will not be disappointed.

This was our first time to the Wicker Park Inn. We've been to Chicago many times before and have fallen in love with the Wicker Park neighborhood, but we've always stayed downtown before we found out about this wonderful treasure. The spot really makes you feel like you have a place of your own in the city. We were upgraded rooms after another customer extended their stay. The room was awesome and we really didn't hear a lot of noise other than birds and families on the street. It was so peaceful. The food was also better than expected with plenty of choices before a day out on the town. We'll definitely be coming back.

I had a wonderful one-night stay at the Wicker Park Inn. The space was clean and the staff was more than helpful, both in allowing me to come back to re-charge my phone and store my luggage before I could check into my next hotel. Everyone was polite and gave me advice on the city, as this was my first solo trip to Chicago. I'd definitely stay here again!

The breakfast includes heavenly baked goods, fresh fruit and strong brewed coffee. The rooms are clean and well appointed. There are many brochures provided on Chicago sightseeing possibilities. The Innkeeper is accessible and friendly.

Such a charming place! We stayed in the apartment and wow! What a lovely place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city but be able to walk to the heart of Wicker Park and Bucktown. This place will definitely be my choice to stay when I return to Chicago. Signed, A couple of moms who needed a reprieve!

We planned an evening trip to Chicago's Wicker Park to see a friend prefom at the local Piano Bar there. At the last minute I decided to find us a place to spend the night and read on line of the Wicker Park Inn. The rates were unbelievable for the Chicago area and just a short walk from our destination. We stayed in the Garden Apartment and had a very nice time, the owners were very accomodating as we weren't able to tell them for sure if there would be just us or a second couple as well. We will be back!

Accommodations and the staff were absolutely delightful. It was so refreshing to not have to deal with the hustle and bustle of a big hotel. And Breakfast! Couldn't have asked for more. We'll be back next time we visit our son and his wife who live in the neighborhood.

I had a very good experience staying here. The service was attentive and generous (without being intrusive); there was a continental breakfast for ultimate flexibility; there were snacks available all day; the room was simple, but adequate; and the location is fantastic. I recommend Wicker Park Inn.

Wicker Park Inn is a fabulous place right in midst of the city! Our stay in the Garden Apartment was convenient, comfortable and great value compared to needing a car to drive miles between a hotel and the city action. The staff were all very caring and professional. We felt they had considered every question and need. Our room was very spacious, layout and WiFi very useful for play and work, the suite style kitchen was fully supplied and very clean. We felt very secure and living within a regular quiet neighborhood was very pleasing. What a rare find right in the heart of the city!

What a great location tucked in the heart of my favorite neighborhood in Chicago. I lived a few block away from this B&B but have since moved away. Recently I made a trip back for personal reasons I was so excited to have this option. It is cozy, cute, secure and walking distance to everything you need. The only 'negative' part of my experience was that it was a little chilly in my room and I had no way to adjust the temperature and didn't have any spare/extra blankets. Other than that I would definitely stay again and plan to on my next trip back.
5 on November 16, 2011
Excellent experience, on a beautiful quiet street. Enjoyed being within walking distance of Wicker Park, I was allowed to check in very early and was even upgraded, without asking, to a better room. I thought the sound of the "L" might be disturbing, but it was not! Highly recommend the Inn.
2.8 on November 14, 2011
My husband and I stayed recently at the Wicker Park Inn. We had a nice stay - hotel was within easy reach of downtown Chicago and the Wicker Park area was great - lots of restaurants and shopping nearby. The breakfast was fine - continental self serve with fresh fruit (which was appreciated). Only cons were that the El ran right behind the hotel so if you are a light sleeper it may bother you and the room could have been cleaner (ceiling fan had an inch of dust as well as the molding on the bathroom door). Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Really enjoyed out stay at the Wicker Park Inn. It is only a 10-15min walk to either the Damen or Division stop on the Blue Line. Lots of cool shops and restaurants nearby. We were greeted by an attendant who also lives in the area and proceeded to suggest a few local gems. She took the time to show us around our room, and mark things down on our map. The train is nearby, but we soon got use to the short, regular sound as it passed. New and clean Kohler amenities were in the bathroom, and the shower was roomy and had good pressure.

This was our first stay at a B&B and were very, very happy! Checkin went very quickly and area suggestions were given and any questions we had answered. We stayed in the Chicago room and it was very clean and we felt right at home. The kitchen area offered hot tea and snacks along with breakfast in the morning. We would highly recommend staying here and will stay here again when in the area.

We spent 5 nights in the Garden Apartment in October and thoroughly enjoyed it. The kitchen and dining area is fully equipped and comfortable. So were the beds and dining area. The shower in the bathroom was strong and hot. Our only complaint has to do with the sound of footsteps and activity overhead - on one night only. After we commented to the proprietors they promised to remind their guests about the 9 pm 'quiet time.' It must have worked. We most appreciated all the helpful tips, maps, guide brochures and personal recommendations provided by the staff we met. Thank you for making our first visit to Chicago so easy.

Overal a good experience and I WOULD do it again.... biggest prob is parking .had to park5-6 blocks away in eves and bring car in closer the next ams as people left for the day.Innkeepers I imagine have no control over this. I was concerned about the noise from the train from the outside of the room but it was reasonably quiet and in contrast added a little white noise that actually HELPED me sleep. Many nice touches and a well stocked kitchen.I never had to think about going out to get something if I didn't want to.

Needed a room for one night in the Wicker Park/Logan Square/Buckland neighborhoods in Chicago. I found the Wicker Park Inn in a google search. The website said that a two night minimum was required, but I made a quick call to the Inn and they very obligingly agreed to a one night stay. The price for the room was very economical, check in was easy, the room was lovely (it looked even better than the photo on the website, and it looked nice in the photo!) - generous sized with a very nice private bath - all spotlessly clean. The continental breakfast was generous and an easy self-serve. I'll definitely stay at the Wicker Park Inn again, when visiting Chicago.

We stayed in the Wicker Park Inn's studio garden apartment and loved it! The neighborhood is bubbling with activity and conveniently located near lots of public transit options, nightlife and an abundance of restaurants & cafes. The apartment was quiet, private, spacious and has a fully equipped kitchen, perfect for those on a budget who want to cook some meals onsite. The staff is very accommodating and helpful. Wicker Park Inn is a great alternative to expensive downtown Chicago hotels!

I have never stayed at a bed and breakfast before--only hotels, so I wasn't sure what to expect. Their website gave a pretty accurate picture. The rooms (a family member also stayed there) were clean and comfortable. The continental breakfast was excellent and the many choices and quality of the food far exceeded my expectations. The only drawback was that the pedestal sink, which looked nice and helps with cleanliness, didn't provide nearly enough space to put our many health and beauty products. However, there were so many positives about this place, we will definitely stay there again.

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Wicker Park Inn. Laura was very friendly and accommadating. We loved being able to stay in our son's neighborhood and see what his day to day life is like. We also enjoyed visiting with the other guests. We were a little apprehensive about backing up to the blue line but it wasn't a problem at all. We will most definitely stay there again as we just learned we have another son moving to the neighborhood.

directly behind the appartement is the room for the central heating for the house. The burner is running the whole time and is extremly loud. This makes you hopping mad in the night when you would like to sleep. In the room you have many different levels and due to that steps, meaning you have to be extremly carefull not to stumble and fall. Dining was not relevant in our case

Overall enjoyed the stay. Very helpful on checking in, addressing issues, etc. I was able to just call the number and get a hold of someone to come over and help. Good explainations in book that was given in room, helpful with parking, etc. Made it pretty easy. The only complaint I would have is that the noise level is a bit annoying. I stayed in the wicker park room which is right by all the noise, especially with the upper level. At 630am I could hear everyone walking around which woke us up. Sounded like someone in high heels or boots. Perhaps carpet could be put in? Some sort of sound barrier. I could hear everything pretty clear. Typically not an issue, but for so early in the morning it was kind of annoying. Other than that, everything else was great. I wouldn't mind using them again for future stays.

My husband and I were really pleased with our stay at the Wicker Park Inn -- it's a lovely little B&B and has a nice little shaded patio space, next to the building, where you can sit and relax. We were in the smallest room (The Blue Line) but it had everything we wanted -- a full kitchen (more than we needed), a queen bed, big closet, wifi, tv and a big bathroom. The innkeepers were wonderful and provided personal service, checking in with us, very friendly. The location is great - very close to the Blue Line CTA (in fact the elevated passed by our window but it wasn't disturbing -- more like background or white noise. I slept like a log.). There are great restaurants and shops in the area on Milwaukee and Division. We picked the inn because it was close to our daughter's apartment but it really is a great area for shopping and eating and for getting downtown. We are definitely looking forward to staying here again. I highly recommend the Wicker Park. Maryann Chach

Great place to stay, terrific location, and the rooms and building are lovely. Very clean, staff was terrific. Loved Wicker Park! Although the breakfast did not include our favorite bacon and eggs, there was plenty of food, very nice pastries, fruit, organic stuff and really good coffee. My daughter is 9 and uses a wheelchair sometimes; staff was great about helping us out. Be advised: no elevators on the trains in this neighborhood. Otherwise, we had a wonderful stay!

We loved our stay at the Wicker Park Inn. It's close to everything and you don't have to pay for parking at the B&B! The room we had was so beautiful. The neighborhood was quiet and cute. The breakfast was good too with lots of baked goods, cereal, juice, yogurt, coffee, etc. We would definitely stay there again.

Our stay at Wicker Park Inn was very nice. Our son lives in Wicker Park and we usually stay downtown. This was perfect, close to his apartment, we had parking (a big plus since we drive to Chicago), and we could walk almost anywhere in the area nicely. We tried several restaurants in the area that our son had wanted to go to by simply walking. We prefer bed and breakfasts so we were happy we found WPI. The room was fine, very roomy, the furnishings and bedding were a bit dated. The bed had a horrible squeak and the side table had a loose leg, but neither was a reason to be unhappy. I just thought they needed a little attention. Breakfast was nice, nothing out of the ordinary, and the common room was stocked with a few snacks also. We very much enjoyed sharing breakfast with other guests and had several lovely conversations. One BIG drawback for us, no coffee available except at breakfast. My husband and I usually enjoy a cup in the afternoon, and sometimes after dinner. If there had been a coffeemaker in the room that would have been perfect, but no. I then went to the common room, figuring they would have a small pot or a single cup brew machine, but none there either. I had to walk several blocks to find a coffee shop, wait in line, and pay quite a bit for coffee, each day we were there. When we arrived we had been driving for over 6 hours and would have loved an easy cup of coffee, not a walk. Will we stay here again, absolutely!! The location is perfect, the price was acceptable, the room was fine. If I had felt the need to, I would have called the phone number for assistance, since you never see the management people. They leave you alone to enjoy your stay but are available if you need them. Fine by me. I have already recommended Wicker Park Inn.

I stayed at Wicker Park Inn arriving on Thursday 7/28-Sunday 7/31. My check in was very easy. There were several problems. The first evening when I returned to my room, the security light did not go on making it rather difficult to open the door in the dark. Then after getting into the room there was a huge centiped going across the floor. Also, there was a flashlight on a desk that wasn't there earlier. when I checked in. I left a note for housekeeping about the flashlight and the security light. The next day on returning late the security light still wasn't working. On Saturday a housekeeping staff was at the door and I asked them to remind someone about the light. The staff person was locked out of the back gate and wanted to cut through my room. This wouldn't keep me from staying here again but the security light should have been taken care of. This room was a lower level room so it was an issue to me.

Warm and inviting room. Very clean and well designed. The price was just right and you can walk to so many great restaurants and shops in moments though the inn's lovely tree lined street is a wonderful place to be. A nice place to stay, was a little disappointed in the breakfast. Usually when we stay at a B & B we share a hot breakfast with the other clients and get to know new people. Here although adequate was a serve yourself on the way out in the morning. The noise of the L did not bother us at all.

The weekend of our wedding happened to be the same weekend as a huge doctors convention, so every hotel in the city was booked or insanely overpriced. We happened to find the Wicker Park Inn, thankfully. We enjoyed our stay in the Chicago Room. Both my wife and I had lived in the Wicker Park/Ukrainian Village area for several years before moving away to North Carolina. We had our wedding in Chicago, and the Wicker Park Inn was a perfect location for us. Close to old haunts and good friends. The staff was great and our room was very nice. The balcony faces the train tracks for the Blue Line, but the noise, in our opinion, wasn't bad at all. Overall, we loved our experience. We would highly recommend. I did not get a chance to eat the cooked breakfast Saturday morning (I was staying in a different location the night before our wedding), but my wife did and she said it was delicious. We woke up late Friday morning, however, and there were plenty of pastries, fruits, bagels, coffee, etc. still available.

We love to find locations in the heart of vibrant neighborhoods so we can explore all day and evening, and spend a comfy night in our PJs with wine chatting. The Wicker Park Inn's Bucktown apartment was AWESOME! It's got a kitchenette (a grocery within walking distance) Robin is a very considerate and congenial hostess (she found us a Groupon massage deal immediately) gave us maps and recommendations--we all got comfy beds, and quiet nights save for the distant rumble of the train (but that was actually cool, if you love cities like we do). Highly recommend it.

3.0 on June 10, 2011
Everything about the Wicker Park Inn was as promised and I was very appreciative of their flexibility when my arrival time was delayed at O'Hare. It is also a very convenient location for the El and bus lines. That being said, I also found this property boring, and as a result, would not recommend it if you enjoy the sense of community that other inns provide and are opting for an inn rather than a hotel for this reason. There was virtually no interaction among the guests and the common dining room is rather dark, small and poorly designed. No one from the Inn was in evidence any time other than at my check-in at night, so there was no host experience that I have come to expect of bed-and-breakfast stays. The other thing that you need to know is that the guest rooms open right out into this dining area, or into the front foyer. There is no sense of privacy beyond the four walls of your room, and I felt less than comfortable with the lack of a deadbolt on my door. (Just a little button on the knob, and kind of rickety.) There is one guest room which has a bathroom across the dining space from the door to the bedroom. When those guests needed to use the bathroom, they dressed first in their room, took their showers, redressed and crossed back to their bedroom. It was awkward for them when just using the bathroom facilities and others were at the nearby table drinking coffee. I would not like this arrangement at all. The nearby neighborhood has a lot to offer by way of restaurants - both Milwaukee Avenue and Division Street - and it was easy to come and go to other parts of the city. Not a bad experience, just nothing special about it.

Staying by the L line I thought it would be louder than it was. It was like a soft rumble of a thunderstorm. If there was a rental bike option, that would have made the stay.

close to downtown via blue line or by car. We were in the downstairs front room and it was kinda noisy...heard every footstep from upstairs, half the conversations (from upstairs and the rear suite), and snoring from somewhere! We kept the bathroom fan on all night to create "white" noise. Other than the noise ALL was great! Guests were very friendly too!!!

We stayed in the Blue Line Studio and loved everything about it. The innkeeper was so super-helpful and gave us such great recommendations for places to eat and check out, almost all of which we tried. The train really didn't bother us and we liked the privacy of the back entrance.

We only stayed at the Wicker Park Inn for about 6 hours so I can't really attest to the dining, etc., but all other aspects of our stay were great. The best part was this is an urban bed and breakfast and not in downtown Chicago which was wonderful! If you like to get lost in a big hotel, this is not the place for you. It is very small and quaint which was what I was looking for, but keep in mind, it is essentially a bedroom of a house. It's like coming home....

We stayed in the Cape Cod room which was comfortable and very clean. The train went by the back of the place but we didn't notice it much. You do hear it go by but we live by a train track at home so wasn't an issue for us. Lots of food choices for breakfast. We'd stay here again.

We had a wonderful time at the Wicker Park Inn. The Cape Cod room was so relaxing and beautifully clean. The hosts were so friendly and breakfast was delicious. I loved the homey atmosphere. Definatly a relaxing weekend.

I stayed in the one room downstairs, with the king bed. The room was stunning! Very Clean....A Great Bed! However....it was loud. The rooms upstairs were all taken, everytime some one moved and talked...I could hear everything. I had to go upstairs around midnight and ask them to keep it down. When I arrived the Inn Keeper just showed me my room, never mentioned the common area upstairs. The breakfast was ok.....just fruit, yogurt and some rolls. I had a coupon so it was worth it....but without it the place was $$$.....you could so better some where else.

Great place to stay in Wicker Park. Excellent value and great location in Chicago

We spent three nights at this lovely inn and can't wait to go back. It's the nicest b&b I've ever stayed at, honestly--great location, inviting, clean and tidy, nicely decorated room (the Cape Cod), lovely bathroom, and wonderful breakfast--fresh fruit in a big bowl out for snacking all day, too. A great value, the stay was refreshing in every way.

Quiet, comfortable, immaculate. Substantial continental breakfast is set out in the morning to either eat at the table in the common room or to take back to your room. Excellent coffee! Vibrant neighborhood and a quick L ride downtown.

The Wicker Park Inn is adorable! Everything was super clean. The breakfast was great and different everyday. The owners are super friendly and helpful and made us feel at home.

I got bumped from the room I chose online, and although I wasn't notified of the change, it worked out to our advantage. The Wicker Park room was lovely. We unfortunately did not stay for breakfast, but it smelled delicious! Early in the morning, we awoke to people moving about above us, but it was no worse than being in an apartment.

Perfect location for us near family---very nice Chicago Street and no difficulties with parking. We had the place to ourselves so it was very quiet. Breakfast was adequate but not out of the ordinary.... we could fix it ourselves which was convenient. Would definitely stay there again and would want the room with the king bed again as it is separate from the other rooms and away from the dining area so definitely quieter.

The Wicker Park Inn is fantastic and a great little retreat in the midst of the hustle and bustle of the city. We gathered here for a girls weekend and I must say that we chose the perfect spot. We reserved the Tuscan room, it has a private entrance and perfect for those who might hit the town a little late. Nothing like sleeping in an waking up to a nice little breakfast. We got to interact with other patrons and it didn't feel as stuffy as it might in a hotel. Aside from the awesomeness that is the Inn, we were also within walking distance to great restaurants, bars, and shopping! We all had a great time and we felt like we were staying at a friends house. I couldn't ask for anything more.

I hope to return soon to The Wicker Park Inn. My son lives in Wicker Park and in the past I slept on his couch. No more. The Inn was homey, clean, on a quiet street with just the hum of the train in the background and is located to the many independent restaurants and businesses of Wicker Park but also close to public trans to go elsewhere in the city. The breakfast was delicious in a lovely room with fresh fruit, baked goods to die for, cereals, breads, PB, coffee, juice and set with pretty dishes. I highly recommend it!

The location was perfect and close to the L and room was clean. It was refreshing to stay in an urban B&B. The breakfast met my expectations. I thought overall the price was fair for the amenities.

We stayed at the Bucktown apartment for 3 nights in November 2010 and had a fabulous experience. My sister was getting married in Wicker Park and it was the perfect place for us to convene, for us to get dressed and feel at home right before this major event. The apartment was spacious and clean and the service was impeccable. We definitely plan to stay at the Wicker Park Inn again and will likely forego any hotel stays in Chicago for a stay at the Inn! We highly recommend it!

Stayed in the blue line studio for 3 days during thevweek. Can't beat the location and price. Plus free parking! This little studio comes with a kitchen ready to cook in. We barely heard the El directly behind us. Great neighborhood, and Robin was a pleasure to deal with. Will be back soon!

Chose to stay in Wicker Park area while visiting my daughter and on a road trip with a college buddy. The accomodations worked, but no access to internet in the basement apartment and hesitant suggestions to ask the owners for access to their computer/printer made it seem as if the accomodations were sub-standard in this age of internet capabilities. I think it is reasonable to expect access to a printer from a hotel/B&B in this day and age.

The owners accomadated my early check and was very helpful acclimating me to the city. The room was clean and in a good location. Though the train was close by, it was not too noisy.

My friend and I stayed in the Blue Line room and had quite a lovely time. The inn keeper met us at the door and was friendly, kind and offered many suggestions on local restaurants and activities (which were helpful, even though I have been to Chicago before). The room itself is cozy and well kept, with a comfortable bed, and as big a kitchen and bathroom as you'd expect from a nice studio apartment. The Blue Line room does not come with complimentary breakfast, but the kitchen was great; a gas stove, and all the pots, pans and cookware you need (we cooked breakfast and dinner many times during our stay). The best part about the kitchen though, was that they do your dishes for you. We came in November, so the price was exceptionally reasonable. Also, the noise of the blue line train didnt bother us at all, I can imagine it might be a problem for very light sleepers, but with the window closed it is not much more than occasional background noise. All in all, it was a fantastic time, I cant recommend it enough!

We enjoyed our stay in the Bucktown Apartment last weekend. The place was clean and very well located. The only thing we'd say is that we were disappointed the apartment didn't have a couch. The dining room table was nice, but it would've been more comfortable to have a couch to relax on.

If you want to stay on the West Side of Chicago in a great neighborhood, stay here. Right off N Milwaukee and close to the Division and Damen blue line stops, it's easy traveling to and from the Wicker Park Inn. The blue line "el" wasn't that loud when we had the door and windows closed. I would definitely stay here again.
4.4 on October 10, 2010
The only thing was the train noise at night but we both quickly got used to it and it became kind of lulling. Robin who works for the owners of the inn was really great and made an effort to accommodate us in anyway she could.

I came across the Wicker Park Inn by accident and was very pleased with room, accommodations, neighborhood, access to transportation, distance/proximity to nightlife, downtown and airport. The WKI has made the top of my list for future Chicago overnights.

My daughter and I stayed in the garden apartment across from the main inn. It was spacious, comfortable, and very private - a real home away from home. Although a stay in the apartment doesn't include breakfast, there were many excellent dining options in the neighborhood. The location was great with easy access to buses and the blue line. I would definitely return.

My son and I (from The Netherlands) visited Chicago to celebrate his high school graduation and admission to Med School. We stayed two nights at the Wicker Park Inn. We could not imagine a more homely, comfortable and "free to stay and go" lodgings for such a trip than the Wicker Park Inn. Accessibility from O'Hare, proximity to down town Chicago are just ideal, rooms are very clean and comfortable and breakfast was great without being overdone. Great value for money!

I really enjoyed the Wicker Park B&B. It is about the least stressful stay I've ever had while traveling. If you want to feel like you live in the Wicker Park neighborhood, this is the place for you. We stayed in the Chicago room which in the back of the building and about 25 feet from the elevrated subway tracks. I'm a light sleeper and was worried about this, but it wasn't a problem. I actually enjoyed hearing the trains go by becuase if reminded me I was in a big City. I do carry ear plus any time I travel and did use them, but question if would've had to. The breakfast is simple self serve continential style with fresh cut fruit, bagels, pastries from quality bakery, cereal (hot and cold) all available as much as you want, milk and OJ are in the fridge (just like home!) This is my style! The dining area is common, but we didn't see any others while we there, we all managed to eat at other times and we didn't hear the other guests. Easy walking distance to cute neighborhood eateries, and easy access to downtown via short subway ride. Ride all Chicago transit with unlimited day pass for $5+/person! We easily found a parking spot in front of the B&B and just left our car alone all weekend. (and we were there in February!) Overall it met all my expectations a great value for a relaxed hassle free place to stay. Nothing super fancy which is how I like it. If you want to be waited on hand and foot or want to stay in a brand-new luxury you may want to look elsewhere but be prepared to pay!

I had a late flight in to Chicago and was able to check in around 9:30PM. The room was amazing; decorated very charmingly with a California King! I was going to be in Wicker Park all weekend and this was the perfect solution to keep me from having to travel to and from downtown.

My mom and I took the train into the city and spent the night here. Because of the recent turmoil with the economy, we made a conscious choice to stay at a B&B (it was our first time at a B&B). We loved it!! The staff was super friendly and helped us with directions and suggestions for things to do and places to eat. Our room was clean and far better than any hotel room in our price range. I really enjoyed the Wicker Park Inn, and Bucktown was really cool, with lots of good eats, shopping, and pubs. We would recommend this Inn to all!!

Had a nice weekend stay with my mom to visit for some local art festivities and it was really pleasant. We had the Blue Line room but weren't really bothered by the train. We walked everywhere and enjoyed having somewhere to come back to and relax. Breakfast wasn't included with our room so I can't report on that portion. Price was definitely worth while.

We stayed at the Wicker Park Inn for Lollapalooza weekend in the Bucktown Apartment and I could not have been more pleased! I have traveled to Chicago frequently and have stayed downtown and Gold Coast many, many times. The price you pay at Wicker Park Inn was phenomenal compared to other places. Me, my fiance, and our FOUR kids had ample amount of living space to make us feel right at home. Three bedrooms, a kitchen, a dining room table that seated all of us, bathroom, and plenty of storage room all for the amount they charge is a steal! If we would have stayed in a hotel, we would have needed 2 rooms, and if anyone has stayed in Chicago, they know, rooms are not that "roomy", cost a ton, and we would have had to eat most meals out. We saved so much money by staying here.... Quiet neighborhood, 2 minute walk to Walgreens, 7 minute walk to Jewel, and 10-15 minute walk to the blue line which leads straight down town! Even when we caved and called a cab, it was a $12 dollar cab ride to Grant Park.... One cool thing.... We had a friend come in to sit with our kids on a Saturday night. Reading the policy, I discovered that we were supposed to report all visitors and made a call to the owners... my call was returned and I was told that it was completely fine, I didn't even need to ask permission, and it was "our place" for the weekend! Awesome. I can't recommend this place any more highly! It is family friendly but also young and single friendly as well :) We hope to book with them again next time we come into town!!

LOVED the location! The bed was super comfortable in the Wicker Park room. Was a little disappointed with breakfast, only because some of the other guests didn't understand the concept of sharing with the other 4-6 guests. We had a strawberry theif in the house while we were there. Maybe have a little more fruit? Definately will stay there again when apartment searching in spring.

We stayed for 5 nights in the Bucktown Apartment. It was a charming & roomy place for 6 people to stay. I would love to come back to this B&B stay. There are a lot of local places to eat, shop & it is only a few miles from the famous Michigan Avenue. The rooms are warmly decorated & the beds are comfy too.

Spent six nights at The Wicker Park Inn and I would thoroughly recommend it. Very convenient for O'Hare Airport and downtown both with the CTA Blue Line and the number 56 bus so it is very easy to travel to The Loop and back. Just purchase your CTA visitor's pass at the airport on arrival. You can enjoy a couple of genuine Chicago neighbourhoods in contrast to the more touristy downtown. Accommodation and breakfast were great. A good place to return to after a hard day's sightseeing.

Stayed for three nights in mid-September in the apartment opposite the main inn. Great place with good parking and really helpful staff. They even brought a baby-bouncer up for our 6-month old to use! Mikky is everything a host should be - informative, attentive and discreet. I have no doubt that next time we're in Chicago, we'll be staying here.

My wife and I recently spent two nights at the Wicker Park Inn and it turned out to be a great find on the internet. An outstanding location and value-near restaurants and shopping and the El (although we had a car and parking was not a problem). The Wicker Park neighborhood is an interesting and enjoyable area for walking. We stayed in the Tuscan room and we particularly liked the private entrance. We would recommend the Inn and we would definitely stay there again.

We have stayed at the Wicker Park Inn twice, and it is great. The location is great for walking around Wicker Park and it is easy to get a taxi or get to the EL. The price is great for in the city. I really cannot say enought great things about this place.

I've stayed at the Wicker Park Inn three times, and each time I've had a great experience. Laura & Mikky are very nice, helpful and friendly. The rooms are great --comfortable, clean and nicely decorated. And the location couldn't be better -- nestled on a beautiful neighborhood street with gorgeous trees, the inn is blocks away from tons of shops, bars and restaurants.

My boyfriend and I stayed in the Blue Line Room. We loved the stocked kitchen, private entrance, and proximity to restaurants, shopping and bars. Just a short walk to the El, we were able to do all the touristy stuff and then relax in what felt like our own apartment in the city. Don’t let the closeness to the train scare you – we barely heard it! We had a wonderful trip and would definitely stay at Wicker Park again.

We wanted to experience a Chicago neighborhood and happened upon Wicker Park Inn. We loved it! We stayed in the Garden Apartment, which is across the street from the actually Inn. It offered more privacy and had a full kitchen with breakfast items. It was a little apartment which made us feel like we were living in Chicago, if only for two nights. It was within walking distance of a great number of little shops and local restaurants and the Blue Line of the El. The hosts were friendly and helpful and included the little things in the apartment that made it even more comfortable. Overall, we were extremely pleased with our stay and would highly recommend it to others.

The neighborhood is a bit shabby, but there are several nice restaurants with outdoor seating. The Inn itself sits on a pretty, tree-lined street. We stayed in the garden apartment and it was very nice. There wasn't much to the breakfast foods provided, but the coffee was good. The location was great. If we had stayed right in the city we wouldn't have seen nearly as much. The Inn is easily reached by the Blue line. We bought a three day visitor pass and became very comfortable jumping on and off buses and using the CTA rail system. We had a great time and plan to return soon.

This bed and breakfast is perfect if you want to be close to everything and want the comforts of your own home while you travel. The location is great! We used to live in Chicago right in this area so it fit us perfectly. The rooms were all very clean, comfortable and very nicely kept. The breakfast was healthy and tasty with a variety of fresh fruits, muffins, and scones to choose from as well as many other options including coffee and tea. It is close to the train and easily accessible to taxi cabs and a drug store in case you need to pick up some extra toiletries you couldn't pack. The only thing that might be a downside to travelers (not to us, though) is that you can hear the train go by and the room was a little warm at night (but there was a ceiling fan in our room so it kept it comfortable for me more so than my partner). The innkeeper was friendly, helpful and accommodating but not over bearing like other b & b's I've been to.

David is charming, more than helpful and a fantastic resource when planning activities.
