I enjoyed my overnight stay at the Market Street Inn. My room was lovely, very Victorian, With tall windows and antiques. The bathroom, however, was clean and had all the modern conveniences. Breakfast was yummy and filling and the proprietors were helpful and friendly.
Thank you for having chosen to stay at our fine property and for your descriptive and generous review. Joe used to own a bathtub and tile refinishing company in the St. Louis area and people would say to him, "Ooh! I bet you'll have claw foot tubs in all of your baths." Joe always answered that he only wanted modern amenities in the bath in order for guests to enjoy the conveniences of modern bathing. We hope you choose to return and, perhaps, try another of our fine rooms.

While Mack has stayed here many times, this was my first visit to Market Street Inn in Taylorville. From the moment we got there to our departure 4 days later we were treated like treasured family members. It was a busy weekend with two family reunions staying there and we were still given individual attention and had grand breakfasts with the other guests. Well organized and very enjoyable. Highly recommended.
One of our goals here at the Market Street Inn Bed and Breakfast is to have each and every of our guests go away with the feeling of being special that you have experienced. We appear to have succeeded with you. Thank you for your very kind words. We hope to see you many times in the future.

This is a charming B&B in Taylorville, IL close to Springfield. Perfect location for the outdoor activities we had planned for our trip. Interesting note, it is a "kit" home constructed in the late 1800s, one of several in the area. Great hospitality and delicious food were provided by Joe and Myrna. We'll be back!

We have stayed here when visiting family in the area. Have always been pleased. Beautiful 120 yo building with very comfortable rooms. Joe an Myrna are excellent hosts and met our needs superbly. Breakfast was excellent and cooked to order. Very convenient 1 block off city square with historic courthouse.
We appreciate your comments and review! One of the decisions we made when embarking upon this journey of being owners and operators of a lodging facility called a bed and breakfast is that we would do our best to offer our guests the finest lodging experience available in our area. Clean, comfortable rooms and beds, a private bath in each room, quality amenities and a well prepared breakfast to start your day. People tell us that we have accomplished our goals, but we never tire of hearing it. Thank you and come again.

If you love old homes you will not be disappointed in Market Street B&B. The hosts go above and beyond your expectations.
We think that it is good to provide more than our guests might expect. That is the easy part. Yes, ours is an old home which was built in 1892, but the systems are all new and kept in great shape by professionals. Thank you for your wonderful comments and we hope you return for more fun and stays. Myrna and Joe

Market Street Inn is a lovely respite for rest and relaxation in a beautifully restored Victorian house. Each room is tastefully decorated, amenities are wonderful and the Inn Keeper friendly and helpful. We were served a delicious breakfast and then spent the morning by the fireplace reading as the weather was bad. Market Street Inn is great value and lots of fun.
Thank you for sharing your impressions of our property. We feel we have worked hard over the years to create and maintain a high level of quality and beauty in our Inn and by maintaining high standards for food quality and cleanliness. We hope you choose to visit us again.
