This was our first time staying at a Bed and Breakfast. We were unsure of how things would go as far as interacting with the host, quality of the food, and the experience in general. Joe was an incredible host. Food was very good. Location cannot be beat, one block away from everything in downtown Galena. Would stay here again.

This was our third year at the brierwreath and we love it every year! Such a quaint, beautiful spot. It is so close to the downtown area and the service is second to none. We highly recommend galena and brierwreath!

We stayed 2 nights in a (very warm) February weekend. We enjoyed the attention to detail in the room and delicious breakfast. Since it was warm we also enjoyed a few beers on the huge porch. The inn is perfectly located a block off Main Street shops and restaurants. It's quite nice to have only a short walk to your bed after a long day of exploring the city. The only downside is that the beds were a but stiff for our tastes, and the pillows were a bit beat up. Other than that we would definitely recommend staying here!

BRIERWREATH MANOR IS AWESOME!!!! I would HIGHLY recommend it to anybody going to Galena. Joe, the Inn Keeper, is very knowledgeable about Galena and all of the lovely nick knacks and decorations in his establishment. Joe is also a WONDERFUL cook and a very friendly, kind person. Peggy Sue and Lynne thoroughly enjoyed our stay there and will DEFINATELY stay there again when visiting Galena next time. THANK YOU JOE FOR YOUR WONDERFUL HOSPITALITY!!!

This was our first time staying at Brierwreath Manor. It was the best bed and breakfast we have ever stayed at. Joe was a most gracious and accommodating host. The rooms were comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was delicious both days. We were able to park the car on site and walk to dinner and shopping. This will always be our go-to B&B in Galena. Thanks Joe!

Joe greeted my two sisters and I at the front door and welcomed us into his beautiful home. He gave us a tour and even helped us get our luggage up to our room. Our room was very comfortable, quiet and we truly felt at home. Joe served an amazing breakfast, grabbed a cup of coffee and filled us in on the history of his home when we asked. It was really a great experience and we would return again if ever in the area. Thank you, Joe!

We really enjoyed our over night stay at the Brierwreath Manor. The room exceeded our expectations. It was nice to have a sitting room to watch TV away from the bedroom. Joe was a wonderful host and made a breakfast to die for!! The best pecan French toast I have ever had along with sausage and fruit. We also enjoyed the company of two other couples and Joe, who sat and joined us in the conversation. The location was one block from the downtown. Very convenient.
