Looking for a great place to stay in Chicago? Consider House 5863 Chicago Bed & Breakfast. House 5863 is not your typical B&B inn. We are different. Here you will find no Victorian decor or rockers on a scenic porch. Rather, we are an urban, hip place to stay in the heart of Chicago's north side. Our style is contemporary comfort. Our rooms are clean, cool and most of all, restive. Our approach is more hands off than hands on. We focus on providing for all of your needs behind the scenes without disrupting your stay. Common areas are designed for casual living. The fully-equipped kitchen offers continental style breakfast with all the basics to allow you to serve yourself on your own schedule and at your own pace. Our garden and deck areas offer a quiet respite for relaxed joy. We look forward to seeing you on your next visit to Chicago.

I stayed here and loved it. Mine was a last-minute booking and Kim, the owner (a married couple owns it) got me set up, even was able to check me in early per my request. The upside to a B&B is the personal touch, and The Sono totally came through. The location is great (just a mile or two north of the downtown area), the continental breakfast yummy, and the living room/kitchen welcoming. It has seven rooms and you can hear other people puttering around on occasion, but for the location, the price, and the experience of a home away from home (that's modern-style, not Victorian), I'll definitely go back there again.

lovely accommodations, especially if you prefer a modern setting. lots of food to eat at your convenience. great shared spaces (kitchen/dining, living, deck). i loved this place. parking is crowded on street, but you should find a spot (maybe not right out front, but near). i loved my room (4) but note that 1 of 2 windows and the sliding glass doors face directly onto deck, which other people can use. i was lucky in that no one else ever used the deck, so my privacy wasn't affected at all. love love love this place.
