Lovely People and a Great Getaway

5 on January 04, 2017

My wife and I love staying at a good bed and breakfast and this was no exception. Everyone from the guests to the hosts were so lovely and inviting. My wife and I absolutely loved every minute at this bed and breakfast and if anyone has not yet checked it out you will not be disappointed. The breakfast the next morning was also fantastic.

Wonderful B&B!!!

We loved our short time at Victorian Rose Garden. The house is beautiful, charming, and cozy and the Inn Keeper, Sherry is very sweet. Food was also outstanding.

Wonderful Stay

We were in town for an event and we enjoyed Sherry's & Carolyn's company. The breakfast was awesome. Ginger pancakes with a lemon sauce along with a crust-less quiche plus a nice variety of tea. We would recommend the Victorian Rose Garden to our friends.

A delicious and relaxing stay.

My bestie and I spent the weekend catching up and working. We had a blast. The room was comfy and the house beautiful! The ladies who run the show are warm and funny. The best part, the breakfasts. Incredibly delicious. Wonderful cookies in the evening. We laughed so much. Stay here! And as a side benefit, walking distance to many nice restaurants.

LOVED it here!

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Everyone there made us feel completely comfortable, the food was excellent and the conversations with both the staff and the other guests made for a great time. We look forward to going back another time.

What a lovely B and B

We have stayed at Victorian Rose Garden several times. It is warm, inviting and the breakfast is so delicious.

Fabulous Hosts!

The food was amazing, and the host is genuinely nice. The house is a wonderfully restored example of Mid-Western Victorian architecture, and features period correct decor. The bed was OK, but bring your own pillows. The pillows were flat. Truthfully, this was our only complaint. Aside from that, it was a wonderful weekend!

Innkeeper Response
Thanks so much for choosing Victorian Rose Garden, and for your kind words. It is recommended that innkeepers sleep in each guest room occasionally so things like flat pillows can be dealt with, which I have not done recently. I am planning to head to the store this week to purchase some fluffy new pillows (we will still have some flat pillows for those who prefer them).

Wonderful stay

We had a wonderful two night stay and will definitely come back again.

Very Enjoyable Stay

Stay there. Really. It's lovely. Sherry is a fantastic hostess. Carolyn makes a terrific breakfast. Great people to talk to over coffee and eggs benedict. Tea and really good cookies we're waiting for us when we arrived. Our room was very comfortable. Lady Theresa's Room is perfect for two people. The Presidential Chamber looked fantastic for a romantic getaway or a longer stay. Nice area on a dead end street. The right mix of quiet and close to everything. Pretty garden areas and porches give you space outside of your room to relax or work, with house wi-fi available. Traveler considerations: House cat Boogey Boy is unobtrusive and stays downstairs away from the rooms. We like cats, so we wouldn't have minded interacting with him more, but if you are highly allergic it is something to consider. Also, there are no guest rooms on the main floor, so you need to be able to climb a flight of stairs. Again, not an issue for us, but something to be aware of when planning your trip. We will stay there again at our next opportunity and you should too.
