This was mine and my husband's first time in a bed and breakfast and it was amazing. We wished we could have stayed longer. My husband has Celiac's disease and Maureen (and Al) were able to accommodate his gluten-free needs with the most delicious breakfast! We are hooked and can't wait to stay again when in the area! Thanks Al and Maureen!

+J.M.J.+ We are so happy to have found this special hidden treasure tucked away near beautiful Coeur d'Alene and Post Falls, Idaho, thus the name Ida-Home! We regret not discovering it sooner while our daughter was in school there, but are already telling others about it and would love to stay there again if and when we are back in the area! Maureen and Al were so kind and accommodating. We felt like we had found long lost friends! They are fabulous cooks and wonderful gardeners! The breakfasts were delicious and served on our schedule, even when ours changed at the last minute one of the days! The grounds were beautiful and everything inside and out was impeccable! It was quiet, tranquil, and serene at the end of the street where the lovely home sits. We even saw turkeys in the woods one morning during breakfast! If you don't like to potentially share the bath with other guests, it is worth the upgrade to have it private, though we never crossed other guests in our three days there. The decor was beautiful and the sheets were so soft and comfy, we ordered a couple of sets from the innkeepers to use at home. The chocolates, nuts, drinks, robes, and slippers were extra amenities that we enjoyed as well. We hope and pray Maureen and Al are truly blessed, as we were any them and their lovely Ida-Home! Stayed a week with Al and Maureen, what a lovely place to relax and enjoy the area - first rate in every way. Quiet, comfortable, excellent meals all, and of course a warm welcoming feel from the gracious owners. I would recommend Idahome to anyone, and already have! Definitely going back. We have never stayed at a B&B and this place made us want to stay at B&B's from now on. It was relaxing and easy going. They provided us with a lot of information about the surrounding area. We only stayed 2 nights. It wasn't long enough. The breakfast was amazing! We plan to go back and bring more family with us.

This past Veterans Day, Ida-Home B & B opened their beautiful home to Veterans from all over the northwest. Our stay was filled with kindness, understanding and congeniality in a beautiful setting and in addition the food was superb in both taste and presentation. My wife and I spent a romantic night in the spacious Heritage Room; it had the greatest bed - no kidding. You feel like you’re going to just melt away into nothingness, gradually slipping into a sound peaceful sleep with not a care in the world. In the morning, you can awaken with the sun peeking thru the huge windows; that surround the bed on three sides. Both beer and wine were provided in our room, in a separate cooler for our enjoyment, with more available. Our private patio door opened onto the wood deck with views of the surrounding pine forest. At night there were inspiring views of brightly shining stars; perfect for a night of romantic star gazing. What a pleasure it was to have no road noise - just peace and quiet; that was simply wonderful!!! To say that we were pampered is an understatement. Our hosts Maureen and Al went out of their way to ensure our comfort and enjoyment. They were at our beck and call throughout our stay, anticipating our every want & need without being the least bit intrusive. We were made to feel as tho' we were long lost friends. This was the best experience we have ever had at a Bed & Breakfast. God willing, we will return

My wife and I stayed here for our anniversary and had a great time. The place is away from the road that you forget about the chaos of life and get to enjoy the nature. We had up close visits from turkeys and deer, makes a person not want to leave. The breakfast was unlike any breakfast we have had and we enjoyed every bit of it. We plan on returning many more times in the future.
We are so grateful that you took the time to write your review. This actually mean a lot to us. We are so glad that we were able to make your anniversary nice for you and that it satisfied your desires. Please join us again. Warmest regards, Al and Maureen

If you are looking for a "retreat" to get away from it all, "Idahome" Bed and Breakfast is the place to go. It is located in a wooded area of Post Falls, Idaho, very private with a natural, idyllic setting. Maureen and Al are warm and gracious hosts. They were there to welcome us when we arrived and take care of our every need. Every morning a delicious and flavorful breakfast was served, using beautiful plates, china and linens. Each breakfast is different and unique and can be customized to any dietary needs a guest may have. Breakfast is served outside in a lovely patio area with colorful flowers, where one can see wild turkeys and other natural life not far in the distance. The rooms are immaculate, clean, and tastefully and beautifully appointed. The bathroom we used was luxurious and had many amenities. Maureen and Al are very helpful about giving information about places to go, sites to see, and great restaurants in the area. We would highly recommend "Idahome" and would definitely return. This is a five-star Bed and Breakfast. Loved it!

If you are just passing through, or planning a longer stay, this is the perfect place for a quiet and relaxing getaway.

From the moment we arrived we felt pampered. This B&B is well above my expectations is all aspects. The room was so very well appointed that it was on a level that few B&Bs or luxury hotels could compare. The only disappointment was that we could not stay for a few days more. Just the right distance to all of the attractions in the area while still being rural and relaxing. Thank you for making our stay wonderful.
5 on June 18, 2015
IdaHome was everything a great B&B should be. The hosts were very friendly and helpful; the place was spotless and located in a very peaceful grove of trees, near the freeway, but far enough away to be quiet and away from the traffic. Since we were the only ones there, we were given a larger room with a super comfortable kingsize bed. The breakfast was fresh and hearty. We couldn't have asked for more. This was a great start to our two week road trip through Montana, Yellowstone, Grand Tetons and Sun Valley--the best place we stayed in. Thanks, Maureen and Al.

My wife & I and a friend stayed here last September for a few days and we just loved it. Maureen & Al are wonderful hosts and made us feel very welcome. And Maureen was especially helpful with providing suggestions and directions for some local outings. The breakfasts were outstanding with different place settings and dishes each day - a lovely touch. I especially enjoyed their hot tub with its ozone cleaner - no nasty chemicals. One of my cherished memories is setting in the hot tub enjoying the view of their lovely property while the moon rose over the trees. If we're ever back in northern Idaho I know where we'll be staying.

On a quick trip through northern Idaho, my boyfriend and I had to book some places at the last minute to stay. We stayed at Ida-Home on our last night. As soon as we pulled up to Ida-Home, we were instantly so bummed that it was our last night and that we weren't going to get to stay for longer! We were greeted by wonderful generosity and a beautiful home tucked away on the side of a mountain. Al and Maureen made us feel instantly welcomed. Our room was big, clean, and we had the most comfortable and plush bed! The hot tub in the back yard was a big bonus after a long day of driving too. We were served a healthy and filling breakfast in the morning before heading out. Al and Maureen were wonderful hosts and we really enjoyed staying at their place and getting to know them in the brief time that we were there. We highly recommend this sweet gem of a place and we will surely be back again!

We had a last minute change in plans and direction on our trip to the Pacific Coast. We were lucky to find IdaHome but unlucky in that we could only stay one night. Al & Marlene were great hosts. After a wonderful breakfast and great conversation, we reluctantly left to continue our trip. We highly recommend IdaHome B & B and we will definately stay here again if we pass through the area.
We would like to thank you for your lovely review. Reviews are just so important to us. My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful 3 day stay at IdaHome over the Labor Day weekend. The house is gorgeous and the gardens and woods surrounding the property were quiet and peaceful. Al and Maureen were welcoming and gracious hosts. Maureen prepared excellent breakfasts everyday and easily accommodated our gluten-free diets. We would have stayed longer if only we could!

We found Idahome B&B on a last minute trip to the Spokane area. It was lovely! Quiet, yet easy to find - our room had a very peaceful patio where we could sit out of the Summer heat and enjoy the views of the nearby woods. Idahome's hosts were very friendly, gave us clear instructions on how to get to the house, welcomed us warmly and oh we had such a fun breakfast - chatting with other guests and enjoying an huge multi course breakfast. Yum! And of course having AC was such a wonderful thing in summer!

We stayed at IdaHome Bed and Breakfast on our most recent trip out west at the end of August, 2014. I can say I was pleasantly surprised when we arrived. It was off the beaten path, a secluded house set in the woods, with no noise, a charming bedroom with a private bath, patio off our bedroom and refreshments in our room. We enjoyed a little snack on the patio with a drink and watched the deer off in the woods. It's the first time in my life that I saw a porcupine in the wild when I awoke the next morning and looked out my window. Maureen served up the most delicious breakfast as we visited with other guests. It's the first time my husband has every stayed at a B & B and he was a little hesitant. After he stayed at IdaHome, he was a convert. We stayed at some unique places on our trip but I have to say our nicest room was here. For the price, you can't get the amenities that we received at IdaHome at a hotel. First class. Thank you so much Al and Maureen. We will stay here again in a minute next time we are out this way. My husband and I spent two days with Idahome B n B and we were extremely happy. The rooms were large and spacious, the sheets were outstanding and we enjoyed ourselves immensely. The food was delicious! The hosts are friendly and go out of their way to make your stay the best it can be! We intend on returning as soon as possible! If you're looking for wildlife at all, sit on the deck and just enjoy. We saw a wild bunny, a couple turkeys and a deer, all from the deck.

I absolutely loved my stay at Idahome. Maureen and Al were perfect and caring hosts, breakfast was delicious and tailored to my grain free needs, and we even enjoyed a mini jazz/gospel concert by one if the other guests. Maureen and Al made everyone feel special and so very welcome. Definitely will be back if I am in the area again!

This was my first time staying at a B & B and thanks to Al and Maureen it won't be my last. I loved the quiet cozy country feel of their place and all the beautiful flowers that surround the deck, where they served us a wonderful breakfast!! Our room and bathroom was clean comfortable... it was a hot summer day and when we arrived Maureen brought cold drinks to our room. After visiting with us Maureen also printed off directions from her computer to our next stops. Can't wait to go back!! Thank you to the best hosts ever!! :)

This B & B has to be one of the best in the country, In fact we would say it is the best. The décor in the Inn was top of the line. Many antiques and very warm and friendly atmosphere. Al and Maureen are very special people. They bent over backwards to take care of my wife's needs. She is legally blind and has many dietary restrictions and they met them all. Thank you, Thank you both. Our only regret with this B & B was that we did not stay long enough to enjoy everything that was available to us. We would definitely recommend this B & B to others and next time in the area we will absolutely stay here. Bob and Elfrieda

A quiet, peaceful woodland experience. One feels almost royal throughout the whole experience and yet able to relax as if at home. Tasteful decoration and attention to details. Delicious and artistic food. It was very delightful to have such pleasant company with our intuitive hosts. To sum it up, emphasis on comfort and relaxation: it's just right.

My wife set up a weekend at the bed and breakfast for my graduation present. I recently finished a two year course in culinary arts at Spokane community college. My wife did not tell me about her plans, so coming was a surprise. Our time there will always be remembered. Each room is so uniquely and perfectly decorated. Al and Maureen were the perfect hosts. The minute we walked in we were greeted with warm smiles and we felt right at home. After a lovely evening in the hot tub underneath the stars and moon we fell asleep in the most comfortable bed ever. Coming from culinary school I can say the breakfast was professionally presented and absolutely the best tasting ever! Honestly a restaurant couldn't have made the food any better. Thank you for the perfect graduation present ever and babymoon as my wife and I will be having our first baby this month!

We needed a break. Just time to get away from the task orientation of work, and yes, home. Our long weekend at IdaHome gave us time and beautiful space, time to focus on each other, and go where the wind took us. Maureen and Al were quickly like family to us. Open and willing to chat, as much or as little as we needed. And they guided us to our next adventure, each spontaneous step of the way. We plan to return to "our room" in the very near future. We recommend IdaHome wholeheartedly!

This bed and breakfast is one of the best ones I have stayed in and my wife and I have stayed in multiple ones all over the nation. The innkeepers were very friendly and super helpful with things to do and places to eat. My wife was pregnant and craving hot chocolate to which the owner made a special trip to the store for her. Awesome couple and beautiful house!

I stayed at IdaHome B&B for a women's retreat. Ahead of time, all I knew was that we would be staying at a B&B. When we arrived, we were welcomed warmly and shown around. We were able to use the Great Room for our gatherings and didn't feel any pressure to finish quickly. Breakfast was amazing. All the women I was with enjoyed it very much as well. It was a wonderful experience.

First off my husband and I had never stayed at a B&B before and so this was a first time experience that had greatly exceeded our expectations. The bedroom we stayed in was so beautiful it was like something you would see out of a magazine. The entire house is so gorgeous and luxurious! The owners are the most friendliest, kindest, enjoyable people we have ever personally met. The meal we ate for breakfast was incredible! If we are ever going to stay somewhere again this will be our first choice hands down.

What a find! The Ida Home B&B has everything you need for a relaxing vacation. The B&B is tucked away in the serene outdoors of Northern Idaho. We stayed in the Dogwood room, which has a huge bed and the softest sheets we have ever felt. Maureen and Al are kind and gracious hosts who know how to make you feel at home. Coeur d’Alene Lake is a close drive and Maureen has all the best tips for sightseeing. After spending a day at the lake, returning to a hot tub under the stars is the perfect way to end the day. We would recommend staying here to anyone who is looking for a peaceful getaway, accommodating hosts, and an outstanding breakfast.

We stayed all weekend at the IdaHome Bed and Breakfast to celebrate our anniversary. Our lovely room was quiet and comfortable with a beautiful view of the woods, and our hosts suggested local attractions that we enjoyed, including a nice French restaurant! Breakfasts were superb, and we were surprised in our room with our choice of a bottle of sparkling cider (or champagne) to celebrate our special day.

Excellent ontbijt, goede adviezen. Maar dat niet alleen. Er was echt contact tussen ons en fijne gesprekken. Fantastisch. Een omweg waard. The Idahome exceeded our expectations. It was pouring rain when we arrived, and Al greeted us with umbrellas and helped us make a dash for their beautiful B&B. Maureen serves the best, homemade breakfasts including fresh pineapple, baked oatmeal that was scrumptious, a baked blueberry pancake, poached pear--exquisite food made from the heart. The room was very comfortable and spacious, the bathroom big enough for the two of us and all my "stuff"! We were biking, and Maureen and Al had great maps and suggestions for biking and dining in Post Falls & Coeur D'Alene. We would return in a heart beat.

We decided to stay at Idahome B&B to celebrate our 10th anniversary. This was our first B&B experience and we delighted with a wonderful stay. The home was located a little outside of the main Post Falls area, just far enough out so that we felt outside of town and in the country, but not too far that it was a long drive or that we felt we were in the "boonies". The accommodations were excellent with an elegantly decorated room that included an outside exit to a quaint patio with gas fireplace. Maureen recommended a nearby restaurant for dinner that was wonderful. After dinner, we took a stroll through the nearby woods and enjoyed a great sunset. Breakfast was served to us on the back patio with the table meticulously set. Al & Maureen took great care to serve a meal that was both delicious and healthy. They made sure that any diet limitations we had were addressed. During breakfast, we were fortunate enough to have a small flock of turkeys parade onto the back lawn and we enjoyed the sounds of morning birds and great views of the forest and flower beds. After breakfast, we had a great visit with Al & Maureen and learned more about their wonderful background and the history of the beautiful home. We even took the opportunity to play the antique piano and enjoy some music together. All in all, we had a wonderful stay and can't wait for the opportunity to make a return visit. We will definitely be recommending Idahome B&B to our friends and family.

We loved our stay at IdaHome with Maureen and Al. The setting is very quiet - out of the way, but close enough to all of the action. Their home is so beautiful, nestled in the woods, the decor is inviting and comfortable, the rooms were amazing...the bed was super soft, and I could have slept away our entire vacation. They are thoughtful about every little thing, and top it off, master chefs...breakfast was to die for! Their coffee was incredible...wow, and a special treat (I won't spoil the surprise for anyone else) for our wedding anniversary. We will definitely be back, and we highly recommend staying there!

I loved the fact that they served gluten free/sugar free food. I have special diet needs and Al and Maureen were very accommodating and sensitive to my diet. They even served a xylitol syrup (just for me) for the gluten free pancakes. I felt so special and never once did they make me feel awkward or guilty. If I lived closer I would go there more often just to get away. The whole experience was amazing, relaxing and peaceful. They really know how to treat their guests. Thank you Maureen and Al! Sandy F. I was in Post Falls for business and prefer to try "out of the ordinary" places to stay-makes my trips more interesting. The hospitality was wonderful, Maureen and Al are such nice people. I had the treat of seeing some deer and turkeys, very lovely grounds and very private. I normally bring my own bedding (I'm fussy about "hotel sheets"), but next time I won't bother-their bedding is nicer than a Four Season's resort!! Thanks again Al and Marueen! Cyndi

We especially enjoyed the vegan breakfasts which were creative and tasty. We've been to IdaHome twice and plan to do so again. ~Curtis and Colleen, Spokane, WA

We were re-directed to this lovely B&B after a long day on the road. Maureen and Al graciously welcomed us to their quiet hide away at the last moment. I was travelling with two teenaged boys and Al made sure the boys got a little exercise at the basketball hoop! The bedroom we occupied was extremely comfortable; it was so peaceful and quiet that we slept remarkably well. We were also served an excellent breakfast in the sunshine on the back deck. This is an ideal spot for a romantic get away. Thanks again Al and Maureen for your warm brand of hospitality! Marianela Ocean Park, BC , Canada

We stayed at the B&B by accident, we booked another B&B which happen to be overbooked and were advised to Idahome. Well we can say it was the best accident that can happen to you. We had a great time those 4 nights. The room was romantic and very clean, complimentary drinks in the fridge. We had a beautiful fireplace with nice comfy chairs outside the room which we enjoyed every night. Every morning was a delight to get to the breakfast table and be suprised what was on the table. We will defenitely return to this place. We recommend this B&B to everybody who appreciates hospitality.

Although my wife and I stayed for just one night at the Ida Home Bed and Breakfast it was wonderful. We had a large and elaborate outdoor wedding in a beautiful venue in Spokane (where we are both from) and I wanted a place to spend our first night together (we did not live/sleep together prior to the wedding) that had a very personal atmosphere but was not too rustic and "fit us." Ida Home was perfect. Based on other reviews I found online I chose this place and it was just what I was hoping for. We arrived late in the evening and they were awake to welcome us and help to our room which was lovely and prepared with their champagne "special touch." After a wonderful night together we enjoyed a healthy and tasty breakfast of berry/banana compote filled crepes. The experience was wonderful and my wife was very pleased with my selection. Thank you Maureen and Al for being wonderful hosts and helping me have a beautiful first night together.

Wow, where to start. We can't imagine going to the great Northwest and staying anywhere else. The hosts, Al and Maureen, are the nicest most accomodating people you'll ever meet. Their home becomes your home and you are made to feel this way through their unending hospitality, comfortable quiet setting and excellent conversation. The home is nestled in the woods which provides plenty of opportunity to see wildlife such as deer and turkey yet only minutes from downtown Coeur d'Alene to the East and Spokane to the West. The expansive great room is an excellent place to sit and engage in excellent conversation with the hosts or just sit and read a book in peace and quiet. We stayed in the Heritage room which was very clean and exceedingly comfortable with the king size bed. It looks just as the picture on the website except Al hand built a corner fireplace which made the room even more cozy on those rainy evenings. There is an expansive deck on the back of the house which has a walkout from the Heritage room. It would be excellent to enjoy anytime of the day as it has chairs and table to relax in and enjoy a sunrise/sunset or jump in the hot tub for a little relaxation. Maureen gave us a tour of the rest of the house and I believe any room you choose will have the peace and serenity you are looking for in a B&B. Every room had it's own special appeal and coziness that draws you in. Last but definitely not least is the breakfast. Al and Maureen go out of their way to provide you with whatever your pallet desires. You wont walk away from their table hungry! The table is set as if you were dining in a hi class restaurant but the food at Idahome is much better! No better place to stay whether for a local getaway or your anchor point for a fun vacation to the great Northwest!

My husband and I met friends at IdaHome Bed and Breakfast and I was awed when I first walked through the door. One entire wall is window and it's just striking. The house is beautiful, each room has a theme, is spacious with so much attention to detail. A lovely rose waits for you in your room. Breakfast is delicious and healthy. Al and Maureen are so warm and friendly and they have anticipated every need you might have. The grounds are beautiful in such a private setting. I felt spoiled and I loved it. We will recommend them to our friends. It is so worth the drive from Shelton.

The Snyders were friendly and warm. The special treat for us was the gluten free breakfast. It was delightful and filling enough that we happily skipped lunch that day. Very restful experience.

IdaHome bed & breakfast is a wonderful place to stay when visiting northern Idaho. Al and Maureen were wonderful hosts. We enjoyed spending time talking with them and other guests that were there at the time. The room was very clean and comfortable and the breakfasts were delicious. Al & Maureen were very helpful in sharing ideas on things to do and places to eat in the area. My wife and I have stayed in many bed and breakfasts and this one is a winner! We would stay again without hesitation when up in Idaho! Thanks Al and Maureen Tom & Lenora

We luckily stumbled on this best kept secret on the WA. ID. border. Just 3 miles off the main highway we found ourselves in the wilderness, in a jacuzzi, with deer running around the property. Maureen and Al were genuine and kind to us the entire stay. Our room with antique interiors was beautiful and most restful. We highly suggest you check out this property!

IdaHome Bed and Breakfast is a delightful location in Post Falls, Idaho; host and hostess Al and Maureen are friendly and knowledgeable about the area. They've created a welcoming and relaxing haven amidst a beautiful forested landscape. Breakfasts are scrumptious--ours was served on the outdoor deck--and the bedrooms are comfortable and decorated with entertaining pictures, antiques and a variety of reading selections. If you have an upcoming visit to the area, you can't go wrong with the IdaHome Bed and Breakfast--certainly a better choice than a chain hotel or motel!
Dear Guest, BedandBreakfast.com will not give out your name (if you would like to email that info that would be greatly appreciated) idahomebnb.com or if anonymous makes you feel more comfortable that is fine too. We are so pleased to receive your review. It is always sooo wonderful to get good support. It means a lot to us personally and for our B&B. We are so grateful. Thank you so much, Al and Maureen

Maureen and Al Snyder are amazing hosts. They are a delight to be around and take a personal interest in you getting to know the area. A friend and I from Damascus, MD, and McLean, VA, felt we found the best B&B experience in northern Idaho! In addition to Maureen and Al's beautiful and comfortable home, breakfasts to die for, and reasonable rates, the B&B is centrally located for easy travel as far away as central Washington, the tip top of Northern Idaho, and even into western Montana. Their B&B is located in Post Falls, which is approximately seven miles east of Spokane, Washington, and seven miles west of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. Sandpoint, Idaho, is only 30-40 minutes north. We both highly recommend staying with Maureen and Al when visiting the Spokane region or northern Idaho. They welcome people who stay as short as one night when traveling through the area to two or so weeks for those of us who want to really get to know the region. You will be glad you selected Ida-Home B&B!

IdaHome is a beautiful Bed & Breakfast nestled in the pines of Post Falls, Idaho. For us, it was a great beginning after having just retired as educators to the "third third" of our lives. Al and Maureen were the consummate hosts with warmth and genuine care expressed in so many special ways. Truly, they made us feel like "mi casa su casa" (my home is your home). The accommodations were meticulously appointed and the Great Room was a favorite spot in their home. There we read, listened to music, nestled up to the fireplace, enjoyed the "outside" from "inside" through the floor to ceiling windows and caught up on some computer skills. The breakfasts were concluded each morning by asking, "Do you share your recipes?" Ahh... the scrumptious culinary presentations of each healthy breakfast were worth getting up for each day. Will we be back? You betcha!
