Quiet and not crowded is heavenly to me. The food was the best healthy and organic and cooked by professional chefs who put love into their food. The morning cook Stephanie is outstanding, she has the magic touch to preparing food. The evening chef Damein food is heavenly too. Our room was lovely and simple and elegant. The staff takes a personal interest in your comfort, (like asking the lawn mowing to stop so we can eat dinner in lovely peacful sounds during lunch outside). I enjoyed every minute there, walking gardens, laying in hammocks, sitting on front porch of our room. I will come back. I would pick the rooms facing the hammock or courtyard because they are more secluded from parking or traffic. For privacy, not crowded, beauty, best food ever, lovely staff...i'd pick Lumeria. Seems that most visitors here are very repectful of being quiet too. I smile when I think of Lumeria. My name is Geneva and I live in Edmond, Oklahoma.

Next to the Paia Inn, this resort is the coolest on the island. On the side of a volcano, 10 minutes down the two lane to Paia, and subject to alot of energetic influences. I have a feeling the on site food service is only going to get better, the staff is real good, and the owners have their priorities right. A great place for groups and workshops. The rooms were excellent, and the grounds matched that.

We spent our last three nights on Maui at Lumeria and could have stayed for at least a week, but still three was great. Small rooms, but nicely decorated with everything you need. The breakfasts were simple, but such a treat to have fresh made muffins and fruit from the land. It was a real pleasure to have all the classes included and the yoga instructor was top notch. Lumeria is what you make of it. It offers you a beautiful surrounding to relax, really friendly staff that are more than accommodating to all your needs, great massage services (I had a prenatal lomi lomi and Jenny was fantastic!) and the freedom of a hotel to come and go as you please. Plus the décor is so tasteful and non-ostentatious or resembling anything from the tacky side of the island that you want to hang by the fireplace or in a hammock and soak in the crystals! We'll be back next time we come to Maui.
