We stayed 2 nights in the Happy Wanderer Cottage at Abigail's Grape Leaf B&B and had a wonderful time. The cottage was roomy, wonderfully decorated and conveniently located. The breakfasts were spectacular! We enjoyed getting to know the owners and explored the beautiful town of Hermann while taking a break from biking on the Katy Trail. What a terrific experience - hope to return soon.
We enjoyed our brief stay at the historic Loganberry Inn. Carl and Cathy were gracious hosts who were very helpful with suggestions for sight seeing and helping us with directions. Cathy's gourmet breakfast was delicious! The Winston Churchill museum is just down the street and is well worth taking the time to visit.
We were at Abigail's during the week. Our room was beautiful, very clean and very welcoming and comfortable. Laurie and Gary are a delight to visit with, if you choose, but are not intrusive in any way, if privacy and a quick breakfast are what you are looking for. The breakfasts and desserts were delicious. Laurie does a wonderful job of catering to any dietary needs you may have while keeping things tasting great and looking like they came from a magazine ad. Great people, beautiful and comfortable room, excellent food-one couldn't ask for more
This was my 5th stay in Herman and this house was perfect for a group. There was a large common room that was perfect to hang out in and a large deck area. The trolley did pick us up and drop us off as promised which I was a little nervous about because it is up a steep hill- worked out perfectly. The very clean, great breakfast would stay again!
My husband and I stayed here the night of our wedding and it was perfection. He checked us in earlier in the day so we had the key for our room already and could arrive when the reception ended without bothering the staff. The room was BEAUTIFUL with the second story deck and two full bathrooms. The bathroom connected to the bedroom had a shower with two shower-heads and was so so clean. We were thrilled. The next morning, they brought us up some delicious french toast, perfectly cooked bacon and scrambled eggs. The coffee was already in the room, so we had already made a few cups and were very happy clams :). I would very highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to stay in Hermann!
This is a very relaxing place! The room is very clean and comfortable, the deck overlooking the river is perfect, and why not try the hot tub? The breakfast was excellent and healthy too!
The room was beautifully appointed. Loved that there was no TV. The quiche was delicious. The owner met us at the train station because it was raining. Amazing service a a wonderful way to kick off our vacation. We will definitely stay here again. One note, Hermann closes down early on weekdays and The Bank Bar/restaurant was not open. We will come on a night where The town has more options next time. This is no discount to our accommodations. A couple of glasses of wine on the private porch made for a nice relaxing summer evening.
Room was excellent, amenities were great, and breakfast was delicious every morning. Just far enough away from the bustle of the tourist district, but close enough to get to any local Hermann establishment in less than 10 minutes. Well worth your consideration for a relaxing getaway.
This was our first trip to Hermann and we hit the jackpot when we chose to stay at Abigail's. We stayed in the Happy Wanderer Cottage and could not have been more pleased. It was roomy, comfortable, and immaculately clean. Breakfasts were SO good, especially the baguette smothered in strawberries and whipped cream with a chocolate-covered strawberry garnish. A delectable homemade treat awaited us both evenings when we returned to the cottage, the perfect end to each day. Laurie and Gary are so warm and kind. They genuinely care about their guests, and it shows in everything they do. We are looking forward to our next stay at Abigail's! Tom and Terri ~ Kansas City, MO
Stayed in the Hot Tub suite at Up Up and Away. Room was large, the hot tub was awesome, the breakfasts were on time and delicious, and the shared common area activities provided opportunities to meet new people or just relax an enjoy the experience. A little pricier than many other B&B's in the area, but you will not regret your stay one bit!
Abigail's Grape Leaf Bed & Breakfast is a wonderful place to stay. Our room was clean and decorated to make you feel you were at home. We had amazing treats in our room each day and a coffee maker in the room to enjoy coffee with them. Our delicious homemade breakfast was enjoyed out on the veranda with our wonderful hosts. They gave us recommendations each day of places to try based on what we wanted to do. We will be coming back to Abigail's!
I believe it was truly our lucky day when we looked online at the multitude of B&B and other properties in Hermann and stumbled upon Abigail's Grape Leaf B&B, and there was an opening for the days we needed. My husband and I decided to take a last minute romantic getaway without our son and it was an absolutely unforgettable experience. The room is not just clean, it is beautiful, comfortable, functional, and beyond charming. It's right in the heart of downtown Hermann and walking distance to everything. I seriously wanted to live there! Laurie and Gary offered out-of-this-world service and dining. I'm sensitive to a lot of foods and have a strict diet, to which Laurie had no issue accommodating. I even picked up some good diet and recipe tips to take home with me. It was an absolute pure joy staying and I cannot wait to come back!
My husband & I spent an evening recently at Abigail's; it turned out to be a very relaxing, comfortable evening. The room in which we stayed was beautifully decorated in period furnishings, for the most part, and it was immaculately clean. The bed slept very comfortably, & the bathroom was roomy & had every amenity for a comfortable stay. The patio area is just lovely, with many beautiful plants and lovely furnishings. We so enjoyed the delicious breakfast, beautifully presented, and with a smile! Gary and Laurie do an outstanding job of making their guests feel welcome, and their hard work and attention to detail is very obvious. We will stay at Abigail's again!
The Cobbler Room & Cottage B&B was just perfect for our get away. It was very quaint and centrally located to everything. Nancy was an outstanding hostess and guided us in many aspects of our trip. The cottage was lovely and had everything in it we could possibly want. The breakfasts were fantastic and were served to our room promptly every morning. We loved the quiet setting, and got to enjoy the gardens of their home. Would most definitely recommend to everyone to stay at this quaint little retreat. We plan to return to Hermann sometime in the near future and definitely will want to stay here again. Nancy, thank you so much for everything and giving us advice about places to eat and see in Hermann.
We went for an anniversary weekend celebration and it was fantastic! The room was perfect, Laurie and Gary we so kind and inviting and genuine. The food was sooooo good and the desserts were on point. We highly recommend this place to stay. You will not be disappointed. Highly satisfied.
This was our first time going to Hermann, MO. We were celebrating our anniversary and after much research we decided to stay at Abagails. We made the best decision! The hospitality was top notch. The food... Sooo amazing and the desserts were so decadent. Clean rooms and comfortable too! Laurie and Gary were so King and took a genuine interest in us. We will definitely be staying there again!
Our group of 5 stayed in the Market Street Guesthouse. When we arrived, we were greeted by Brant, the owner, who gave us info about local attractions, along with a plateful of delicious, freshly made cookies. The house had spacious rooms and was very clean, with updated furniture and linens. A hot, generous breakfast arrived in the morning, including some locally made sausage. The grounds are well-maintained with comfortable seating. We had a great time and will be back again!!
as always stay was top notch. the only thing I missed was shooting the breeze with Terry and the people he hires. They are all super folk and its nice to chat with them. Just wish we had more free time to spend here. thank you Terry. Randy Means
