Perfect place to get away from the big resorts! Dan was fantastic - very helpful, but very respectful of your privacy. The housekeeper was super awesome as well. We loved the outdoor shower! Stayed in the Honu room...just wonderful. The views were amazing...beautiful property all the way around! Close to several beaches and a few minutes drive from Front St., which has a ton of little shops, bars, and restaurants. Amy and Dan do a great job with the buffet style continental breakfast...8-10 every morning - fresh muffins, juice, fresh fruit, and more... Coffee, tea, & filtered water available 24/7. A big thank you to the Ho'oilo House for helping make our trip to Maui a special one!

we appreciated everything about this beautiful place. The rooms were exceptional and tastefully decorated, each unique with attention to detail. All had a lanai. Views gorgeous and hospitality truly thoughtful and skillful. Beach chairs were even provided if need as well as as anything that would enhance your stay such as tips as where to go to eat and sightsee. Highly recommend it.

This was our second stay at Ho'oilo House, and this B & B is truly a ten!! The owners truly make you feel like part of the family! The property is immaculate, clean and accommodating! We've considered staying at the big box beach resorts, but always fall back to Ho'oilo House. We can't wait until our next visit!

We absolutely loved staying at Ho'olio House when we were on Maui in December. Situated only a few miles from the center of Lahaina, it was like a little oasis tucked away on the hillside with stunning views of the ocean and Lanai. The grounds are beautiful and rooms very comfortable. The owners were gracious and very helpful during our stay.

After much research on Maui accommodation the selection of Ho'oilo house proved to be exactly what we wanted, quiet, tranquil, welcoming and unassuming. If your looking for a peaceful stay in beautiful surrounds this is the place to stay. Highly recommended and the hosts make you feel most welcome.

Our experience was exquisite. The room was an oasis. It was nicely appointed, the bed was inviting and super comfortable, and the private lanai provided a stunning view of the ocean. We also loved the outdoor shower over looking the Pacific. The most delightful aspect of our stay was how warm and accommodating the staff was, especially Dan. He answered every silly question we had and we actually had some much more meaningful conversations and felt a deep connection with him. It was a pleasure to get to know him and he made us feel completely welcome there. Our room was cleaned each day and it was obvious that it was done wih attention to making us comfortable. The grounds were impeccably kept and beautiful. The breakfast was a great way to start the day. On days when we were starting out before breakfast was served we were provided with items to take with us, along with a cooler to keep them cold. Dan even sliced the fresh papaya and pineapple we bought at a local fruit stand and had it waiting in the room fridge! On our final day on Maui we checked out in the morning but our flight to Kauai was not until the afternoon. We were allowed to leave our bags at the house while we spent a few hours exploring, with plans to retrieve them on our way to the airport. Unfortunately our rental car broke down in a remote location. We were able to get a lift to the local rental office in Lahaina but were out of any extra time to get our bags from Ho'oilo House. I called Dan and he brought our bags to us at the rental office. Without that extra level of help we never would have made our flight - the last one of the day. I can't say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay at Ho'oilo House. We will definitely be returning the next time we visit Maui.
This ocean facing suite with its queen size Chinese "Opium" Bed is a real treat. You are able to enjoy a gorgeous view of the Pacific Ocean and neighboring island of Lanai while relaxing in bed, lounging on the lanai and standing in the shower.
