My husband and I spent our 10th anniversary at the Desoto Beach B&B - we are so glad we chose this one over the others! Everything was clean, beautifully decorated, and comfortable. From the first moments checking in we knew that we would be coming back! Ms. Debra is possibly the kindest person you will ever meet in life and she makes the most amazing french toast! We can not say enough good things about this B&B! The ONLY bad thing we could say about this place is that it was too hard to leave - we didn't want to go! We could not have picked a better place to celebrate our 10th anniversary!

My wife and I had a wonderful experience at the Desoto Beach Hotel Bed and Breakfast from the time we arrived until we left. The front desk clerk was very courteous, professional, and accommodated us promptly even without prior reservation. Hospitality came quickly and showed us to the beautiful house. We arrived just in time for horderves, which we loved the cheese and tea selections. After we were settled in we noticed that the smoke detector in the entrance was beeping; we let the front desk know and maintenance took care of it right away. The house is tastefully decorated and inviting. Everything is well kept and immaculately clean. The bed was very comfortable and we had a great night sleep. The Inn Keeper is a fantastic hostess, and cook. She makes a delicious breakfast with all the trimmings, treated us like family, and made us feel at home.

Our first time to Tybee Island and we were not disappointed. We had the Honeymoon Suite and it was awesome. The house was lovely and furnished beautifully. Visiting with other guests made breakfast so enjoyable. Debra is a gem, and made our stay a wonderful one!

We were so amazed by our posh and elegant surroundings! The house 'Mom" was friendly and made us feel the most welcomed guest! A truly wonderful experience all the way around.

I had the most awesome 1st time there which surpassed my expectations. A wonderful array of breakfast choice omelets, pancakes, waffles, bacon sausage, danish, coffee, juices fruit cereals, whatever u liked. A desirable cheese & wine display for the evening. OMG chocolate chip, & other assorted home made cookies during midday. The terrace was breathe taking with a hammock. The setting was right off the beach. Wonderful scenery a mile walk away from a board walk with live music as well as fire works. A restaurant on the beach 1/2 mile b4 the board walk that prepared scrumptious bohemian style conch, Drinks Dinner if you prefer. Just a quaint lovely enjoyable place & my companion made it feel like heaven. Our room was right next to the terrace with the hammock small however perfect with bathroom/shower. A terrace also on the opposite side of the livingrm over looking the beach a building away. The beach wasn't over crowded either beach chairs a water sprinkler to rinse off from the beach as well.I'm still smiling that was 2 years ago

Being from Savannah, we have stayed at the DeSoto Beach Hotel several times and not having been a Bed & Breakfast fan, we decided to take a chance when my husband and I got married last April on the beach. We needed a place for our family as well as a place to meet before and congregate afterward. We booked 3 of the 4 guest rooms and they were all wonderful. We're partial to the Tybee room which was a very special place to spend our honeymoon. It's a pleasant atmosphere as well as clean and comfortable. The true asset though is Miss Debra the "house mom". She is the best! and what a breakfast she cooks up. We just recently went back for our 1st anniversary and as usual Miss Debra helped to make it one of the most memorable couple days you could imagine.

The DeSoto Beach Bed and Breakfast on Tybee Island, Georgia, is an island of excellence in an otherwise quirky (but fun) beach community. We found this place online and, not having been to Tybee, thought it compared favorably to other options on the island. We made a reservation at another "Hotel" closer to "downtown" tybee. However, upon our arrival we quickly realized we had chosen poorly (very poorly, but I won't name names). We canceled our reservations immediately upon arrival and came back up the island to this delightful place, which, fortunately, had a room available for the weekend. This 1930s house is immaculately restored, clean and tastefully appointed with an open and relaxing common area. Rooms are well separated and nicely insulated, noise-wise from other rooms and common area bustle. Debora, our innkeeper, has been a gracious host and an excellent breakfast cook. There has been ample food, including evening wine and cheese. The beach view is not perfect, given recent construction of a view-blocking house directly in front of the B&B, but that is a minor quibble given the 1/2 minute stroll to sand and water. Our room was cozy for two, but well appointed and the bathroom was clean and featured a spacious tiled shower. While my B&B experience is limited, I find it hard to imagine a more ideal place to spend a weekend or even just an evening. All the comforts of home; friendly staff and guests; great location (Savannah is 15 min. up hwy 80). What's not to like?

We were very comfortable and enjoyed good Southern hospitality from Deborah, as our cook and housekeeper. We enjoyed the hammock on the porch, the proximity to the beach, the fantastic cookies, wine and cheese and especially the hot breakfast.

My boyfriend surprised me for Valentine's day with a night's stay at this quaint little B&B. This was a first experience at a B&B for us both and in one word, it was wonderful! We are natives of Savannah and have been enjoying Tybee Island for years, but this experience made us feel like we were on a vacation miles away from home! We walked in to find a quiet, serene atmosphere with luxurious linens and an oversized hammock on the front porch just outside our room. With only a small 19" TV on the wall, the obvious focus of this establishment was to spend quality time with the one you love-and we were able to do just that. We sat on the porch sipping on red wine and nibbling on assorted cheeses-complementary indulgences! After an amazing seafood feast at a local restaurant, a moonlit beach stroll and a restful night's sleep, we rose to the smells of pancakes and bacon. We entered the dining area expecting to find a self-serve buffet; however, to our surprise a hospitable staff member greeted us and was ready to prepare breakfast for us from scratch! The service and amenities at this inn were truly unbeatable and we cannot wait to visit again soon!

My husband and I were looking for a place to stay on the island that was away from our family the day that we got married on Tybee. We took a chance on the Desoto bed and breakfast and we were pleasantly surprised! We stayed in the Butler room since the rest of the place was full and although it was small it was extremely comfortable and clean, with amazingly soft and plush bedding and a tv to watch while we enjoyed being newlyweds. We loved having cheese, crackers, and wine out on the deck with the hammock and the next morning Debra made us a breakfast that was out of this world and anything that we wanted, she made! She is the heart and soul of that b and b, that's for sure! She even found us an in tact conch shell on the beach and gave it to us as a keepsake. We have been back for both of our anniversaries since then and stay in the Tybee on the top floor. It's a whole floor to yourself with a private deck that overlooks the ocean...very nice! That time we came with our son who was only three and a half months old and Debra just adored him. This year, our third year staying, we had a new addition, our four month old daughter and Debra not only remembered us but was very excited that we were back. Our last morning there she gave us an anniversary cake that she made for us and made us promise we would come back soon. We will, needless to say, continue to stay there every year for our anniversary and look forward to it for the entire year!

We arrived without a reservation and I asked for an upgrade if possible. The frtong desk clerk was very friendly and we stayed in the B&B next to the main hotel. Our room was amazing, top floor, deck with an ocean view, beautiful king bed and very soft bedding and a HUGE bathroom area with claw tub and separate shower. Debra cooked our breakfast each day and she was so sweet and nice. There was wine and cheese each day at 5pm. We had such a great time and would go back and stay in a second. Ask for the "Tybee" suite.

My wife and I have stayed in numerous B&B's in several states. DeSoto is among the very best. Clean, comfortable and quiet. Safe, off street parking, close to everything on Tybee Island yet located at the peaceful end of it all. Breakfast offered a variety from bagels and cereal to sausage and eggs to order. The french toast was terrific and the second day was good old biscuits and gravy because a guest had requested it. (They aim to please). Food was prepared with love by Debra, a real Georgia home cooker and served in a large open community room. It is located upstairs with a nice, outside porch on either side suitable for outside eating should you prefer. The afternoon wine and cheese and late night cookies were also a big hit. The beautiful wide, long beach is perfect for walking, biking, swimming and all things ocean and it is all literally located at your back door. Just past the DeSoto pool, which you do have access too, is the fine warm sand of Tybee Island Beach. Sunrise is magnificent and stars are plentiful on a lovely Georgia night. If you're into relaxing and being well taken care of at a lovely seaside B&B - this one's for you. Hail Desoto! We loved it!

I was looking for some pampering and relaxation and found it here. The staff is marvbelous! Debra was a joy! I stayed in the Tybee Suite at the top of the inn. The wine and cheese hour made for a nice transition between my beach time and a night on the town. I will be back for my next R&R. Thanks!
