The online presentation is simply much better than the actual inn. This inn is a residence converted to a B&B and comes with the limitations of such a conversion, such as noise between floors, baths that are just too small. Everyone must eat at 9:00 AM. There is one room in the entire home to accommodate guests and the inn keepers hover over every one, which makes things very uncomfortable. The guest feels like they are being constantly watched, which makes everyone uncomfortable. Our downstairs room was so dark and gloomy, the window treatments were very heavy and blocked all light and the windows were approximately 15" wide which was a poor view of the mountains. Only one room in the inn offered a mountain view. For the majority of people the breakfast menu is a absolute NON starter. I believe the inn to be terribly overpriced when compared to the Buckhorn or especially the Hippensteal Mountain View Inn. We paid $214,00 per night and it was absolutely not worth that much money, and this is off season! For my complete, very detailed review of the Foxtrot Bed and Breakfast Inn, please refer to my review on Trip Advisor, it is listed under LiteJazz. I hope this will be helpful to you.
Our small wedding was beautiful and Christopher Place exceeded all of our expectations. Debbie, the wedding planner, was amazing and worked hard to make my wedding perfect. All of our meals were delicious! Everyone had two desserts because the cake was beautiful, but my guests were drooling for the creme brûlée. Everyone decided it was the best they had ever had to eat. We’ve already decided to make Christopher Place one of our anniversary visits.
We have been coming to Blue Mtn Mist for over 12 years. Always have had a wonderful time. Rooms are great and the Innkeepers are good friends, after all these years. Breakfasts are outstanding and they change daily. Would recommend the Inn very highly Will be back in the spring!!!
Dan and Karen are great hosts. Breakfasts are superb! But they are also so good about making suggestions for the area and seem genuinely engaged with their guests -- always leaving us with the sense that they are giving us their full attention. Quaint lodge and grounds, festively decorated for the holidays. Room was not spacious, but they are creative about using the space well. Can't imagine anyone not enjoying their stay here.
This is our second time to stay at BMM and we LOVE it! I think we will make it our home away from home location. We brough both of the kids and they throoughly enjoyed running outside and playing on the trail. We all enjoyed the breakfasts and evening desserts. The staff is friendly and engaging. Everything was perfect. We will be back.
My husband and I stayed at Laurel Springs B&B in early December and were pleasantly surprised by the location, cleanliness, and friendliness of the owners. The room we chose was beautifully decorated and had everything we needed for our stay. Breakfast each morning was outstanding with 2 main menu selections. The entire house was decirated for Christmas which was great! We will make this one of our top picks for future visits to Gatlinburg. Thank you Dan and Karen!
We just went away for a weekend getaway, and it was a marvelous place to rest and be catered to! Thank you, Shirley and Bob for a peaceful, pleasant experience with some of the best food we've ever had!
We were looking for a quiet getaway in the mountains, and The Olde Mill is perfect! It felt so cozy and comfortable, and we were treated like we were staying right in a home, complete with breakfast and very hospitable staff. We stayed in the Pinnacle room, which has an amazing view of The Pinnacle itself! We will definitely be staying again and recommending to all of our friends! The only selection that I can't truly review was on-site dining because we didn't eat the breakfast (headed out early), but we were offered to-go plates and coffee when we left (hence the five stars, really sweet gesture), and I am SURE that it's amazing!
We stayed in Trillium Cottage - our second visit in 9 months. It is cozy, quiet, and private. We had breakfast delivered to the cottage each morning ... it was to die for! We also took advantage of the Spa for couples massage - amazing!
We thouroughly enjoyed our three day stay at Foxtrot. The room was very clean and comfortable. There was a small refrigirator stocked with soft drinks and water at no charge. We slept well on a king size bed (they even iron the sheets). The view is magnigicent. The breakfasts were exceptional, prepared by a professional chef. There was also an abundance of books and DVDs available for our use. The hosts were engaging and made sure we had a pleasant experience. They know the area well and gave good dining and site seeing recommendations. We would definitely return to Foxtrot on our next visit to the Great Smokey Mountain National Park.
This was the first time my husband and I stayed at a bed and breakfast, and it has set the bar high! We felt so comfortable and at home our entire stay. Dan and Karen were very hospitable, and our room was very clean. They even gave us some coupons to some good restaurants and shows. Karen’s breakfast each morning was delicious, and the fall decorations were beautiful. We will definitely be staying here again during our next visit to Gatlinburg!
Located in a small and quaint town in the tri-state region of Cumberland Gap, this BnB is really perfect for a weekend getaway. No gimmicks and no false representation - a true Bed and Breakfast the way it's meant to be! Sherry and Amy helped ensure our stay was beyond expectations, and they were very dedicated with their jobs! All the rooms are unique and the whole property was built with a lot of taste. An excellent place to impress that special person in your life. We will definitely return in the summer next year!
Blue Mountain mist it amazing! Our family of 4 stayed in one of the cottages and throughly enjoyed our weekend away. It was a great location, close to town but far enough out of town to enjoy the rural countryside. The owners were so friendly and welcoming. It was a perfect place to relax and recharge.
We found Christopher Place Resort online while searching for a romantic setting for our elopement. As soon as we arrived we were in awe of the beauty of the resort and the breathtaking views. The quality of the service was above and beyond our expectations. Debbie, our wedding coordinator, was amazing in helping make this special day a wedding to remember forever. All of our meals were to die for. Everything about Christopher Place is more reasons to return year after year. Without a doubt, we will return our anniversary. #cktiestheknot
My husband and I enjoyed our visit to Cumberland Gap and the Olde Mill Inn was a perfect place to stay. You can walk to everything. The breakfast at the inn was delicious. We will definitely plan another stay there.
We have stayed here for 16 years and love it. We have met people over the years that we have stayed friends with and meet up here every year. Great breakfast and sweets at night. Love the atmosphere and the family that owns the B&B is wonderful.
We had a wonderful stay at the Foxtrot. Bob and Shirley were wonderful. They have a beautiful home up in the mountains with a beautiful view of the Smokeys. We appreciated their southern hospitality and all the specials things they did to make our stay memorable.
Rooms have mini-fridges, flat-panel TVs, DVD players and free Wi-Fi; some also include private balconies or terraces, fireplaces and jetted tubs. A sumptuous breakfast is served daily. Step into the common salon area to enjoy a read. Bob and Shirley are friendly gracious hosts. A highlight for us was watching the moon rise over Mount LeConte from the kitchen balcony.
Took my wife for a little getaway. Absolutely fantastic place, great staff who are very accommodating to any food allergies or preferences you may have. This is a gem, a really cool historic place in a great little town with dining and a little bar all within walking distance. Great views and great outdoor activities and hiking right outside your door. I will absolutely stay here again
Foxtrot is not the easiest place to get to but well worth the effort, with an unparalleled view over Gatlinburg to Mt. Leconte. Warning: do not plan on lunch after the sumptuous breakfasts!
We loved our stay at this B&B. It was our second time to stay there and it did not disappoint. Beautiful little town. The staff was so helpful and so friendly and the breakfast was great. We will definitely return.
The room was nice with lots of local decor and artwork throughout the house. The room had an amazing view of the smoky mountains. I can not stress enough what a great view this place has off the back deck. The food was amazingly good every morning we were there. It was obvious that the chef has had excellent culinary training and experience. This is a place that has given lots of thought to countless little details to make everyone's stay exceptional. My wife and I could not have asked for anything better for our first anniversary.
My husband and I stayed at the Olde Mill Inn for only one night but this was our second stay at the Inn and it was wonderful! Beautiful little town and our host were so helpful and friendly. We were traveling for funeral so it was not an ideal situation but the staff at the Inn was helpful and kind and the our stay in the Pinnacle Room was quiet and relaxing with a great breakfast to get us going the next morning. We will defiantly return for a longer stay soon. Thank you to the staff for all your help. We really appreciated it.
