The Best of Savannah

5 on October 21, 2016

If you're looking for the true Savannah experience, make sure you stay at the Olde Savannah Inn. Kathleen (the owner) and her two beagles, Andy and Mr. Cooper, could not have made us feel more welcome from the second we arrived. Her historic townhome is absolutely gorgeous and in a perfect location! It is just a short walk to all of the sights that Savannah has to offer. Our room was quiet, clean, and very well decorated. The bed was extremely comfortable and the bathroom was newly remodeled. We may have only stayed for the weekend, but it felt like much longer. Lastly, Kathleen's breakfast was amazing and it was a real treat to not have to leave the inn. Having stayed at Airbnb's in Savannah in the past, we found that staying at The Olde Savannah Inn is beyond any comparison if you're looking for a true Savannah experience.

Savannah's Finest Bed & Breakfast

5 on August 03, 2016

We had the pleasure of staying at the Olde Savannah Inn a couple of weeks' ago. This was a special getaway and we could not have found a more perfect location. From the time we were warmly welcomed until the time we left we could not have asked for more. Kathleen was the perfect host. We felt as if we had known her for years and of course Mr. Cooper and Andy were the perfect backdrops. Our room was perfect and the way the B&B is set up, we had complete privacy. Our morning breakfast was elegantly served and absolutely delicious. We have raved about this experience since returning home. We can't wait to return. Only place to stay in Savannah.

Charming B&B

5 on August 01, 2016

Recently my partner and I spent the weekend at the Inn and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We arrived in the evening and became excited when we saw the lovely exterior, interior, and location. Our room was lovely, bathroom very accommodating and the bonus of a steam shower was to my partner's delight. Next was the bedding, lovely, clean and crisp and just how I like it. Had a great night sleep. Breakfast was the best/delicious, cooked and served by your friendly hostess Kathleen. My partner loves waffles and loved Kathleen's home made waffles and whipped cream, he said it was the best he ever had. The breakfast table was beautiful. The entire Inn is charming and so is Kathleen. I love Savannah and there are many beautiful B&Bs but they come at a price, the Old Savannah Inn was in our price range and the free parking and street parking was an added bonus. Thank you.

Great Stay in beautiful city and beautiful Inn

5 on August 01, 2016

My husband and I stayed in the Bellevue Room July 2016 and it was absolutely wonderful. Kathleen welcomed us and continued to do so for our entire stay through her service and conversation. Our room was very nice, quiet, thank God it was cool considering it was triple digits outside and clean. The bed was comfortable and the bedding high quality cotton. The breakfasts were delicious and the evening dessert sinful. We walked every where but on the first day we took the trolley tour to get an overview of Savannah and Kathleen made it easy for us because she had the tickets there. Everything was within walking distance. We walked to the river and everywhere in between. I highly recommend staying with Kathleen at The Olde Savannah Inn when you visit beautiful Savannah!

Very Unsatisfactory!

1.0 on June 18, 2016

After a long day of travel, we arrived at The Olde Savannah Inn at 2:00. We knew that check-in time was 4:00. The owner, Kathleen reluctantly allowed us to leave our bags, saying that they would not fit in the room. (We found out why later.) We walked around the area for two hours and then arrived at the doorstep at 4:00. After knocking several times Kathleen did not open the door. Finally we called her on the phone. It would have been nice if she had allowed us to sit in the living room as it was very hot and humid. We were shocked when she showed us to our room - it was the smallest room imaginable. The bedroom and bathroom were all one with no partition between. The bed was crammed into a corner so that one person was scrunched against the wall. There was trash in the room. There was no cookies or wine as I have read in other reviews. Kathleen could not have been more inhospitable. She appeared to be an unhappy person who felt inconvenienced by us. We appeared for breakfast a few minutes early and were informed that we were 20 minutes early. We only wanted to escape the tiny room and sit upstairs. Kathleen served me a waffle with strawberries and whip cream. I took a few bites while waiting for her to serve my husband. She then rushed in and cut my waffle in half and slopped it onto his plate. There were a couple of pieces of bacon and one sausage for the two of us. She complained loudly from the kitchen the whole time we were trying to eat until my husband told her we had heard enough! We were so disappointed and miserable about the whole experience that we left after one night although we had reserved 3 nights. Kathleen had no problem collecting the entire 3 nights payment and, while we understand that she is running a business, she was not at all gracious about the situation. In the strongest words, I do not recommend staying here.

Memories of Savannah

For our first visit to Savannah, we wanted the perfect southern charm experience and we found it at the Olde Savannah Inn. This is a beautiful historic home in a beautiful neighborhood and conveniently located within the historic district. No need for a car, the best sites are well within walking distance. We stayed in the Provence Room which is tastefully appointed and exceptionally clean. Even the bed sheets were hand ironed! Now for the best part, the breakfasts. Perfectly prepared and presented each morning, the meals are nothing short of delicious. But my favorite part of breakfast was the conversation with other guests, puppies playing on the floor, and our host, Kathleen, taking time from her busy schedule to sit and have a cup of her pressed coffee with us. Thank you Kathleen for giving us exactly what we were hoping to find, you're the best! Don & Sarah

Savannah Charm!

We loved the location and Kathleen's breakfast is exceptional! Our room was spacious and clean. Our only issues were that the Direct TV did not work in our room and we were never told where to park. We were offered cookies upon arrival, however, there was no mention of dessert later. Perhaps a better welcome talk describing everything would be better.

The perfect combination of elegance, charm, and comfort!

On a long weekend in Savannah, my husband and I decided to try a new inn, after having stayed in the same one a few times. We chose The Olde Savannah Inn and we were not disappointed! The Inn has everything that an experienced B&B guest would want...incredible charm, elegance, warmth, comfort, and close proximity to the wonderful sites of Savannah. The experience was made even more enjoyable due to the warmth and hospitality of the Inn's owner, Kathleen Dupuis and her three charming beagles. When she ushered us in, I felt as if I was being welcomed into her home, she was so lovely and gracious. Our room was beautifully decorated, the bed comfortable, and we especially enjoyed having a fireplace. The breakfasts were incredible (all made by Kathleen) as well. All in all, it was a slice of heaven and I can't wait to go back!

What a perfect getaway!

I booked a last minute trip to Savannah and chose The Olde Savannah Inn to stay at for two nights. After looking at multiple B&B's, I decided to stay here because of a few different things. The rooms all looked so cozy and the attention to detail in them were matched by no competitors. I was also attracted by the photos of the various breakfasts that Kathleen cooks. Upon arrival we were greeted by Kathleen and her three beagles, Sir Bailey Mr. Cooper and Andy. The atmosphere in the home felt like I stepped back in time in Savannah and I immediately fell in love. My girlfriend and I stayed downstairs in the Provence Room and we loved it. The bed and sheets were beyond comfortable and the HUGE walk-in shower was a bonus. We had our own private downstairs entrance which made it nice when we came home late after going on a ghost tour. Kathleen was such a wonderful host and cook that I think she should open her own restaurant. Her take on eggs benedict was delectable and her creme brulee french toast should be award winning. The next time I go back to Savannah there is no doubt in my mind that I will be staying here. I will be looking forward to the next time I get to spend a weekend with Kathleen and the pups.
