Our stay in the Chatham Suite on Chatham Square in March 2017 was outstanding. Wonderful accommodations, beautiful views of the square out our window, best food in town cooked by the Innkeeper, Monique, our own parking spot, fireplaces both upstairs and downstairs, a full kitchen, a perfect location, two very kind housekeepers, what more could one ask for? Everyone was professional as well as personable. Monique went out of her way to cook gluten-free for my wife, who raved over all of the treats. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay in Savannah!

From the moment we drove up and saw the Carriage House we knew we picked the right place to celebrate our 25th anniversary. Meeting Monique was an absolute delight! Monique was instantly welcoming . Very helpful in guiding us as to where to eat and what to see. Lindsey was our innkeeper! She was wonderful. So sweet and thoughtful. Always went above and beyond should we have any extra requests. Lindsey would return each morning after we left to freshen up the place and deliver more treats! Monique made some delicious desserts that we always looked forward to coming home to. Everything you could think of was provided . The bathroom well stocked with toiletries. Adorable claw foot tub with a cozy wrap around shower curtain. There was also an iron and ironing board, washer and dryer . Two tv's , wifi, and anything else you could possibly need or want. The kitchen was also well stocked. Coffee maker, coffee, tea, sugar you name it, they had it. We loved the treats left for us each day. The breakfast served to us each morning was delicious! Whatever you do, don't skip it. It was so filling we usually didn't eat lunch when we were out and about and had an early dinner instead. My husband enjoyed the Sherry provided in the evening. The court yard was beautiful . We enjoyed our coffee in the morning out there. Lounge chairs and a table for two. Small refrigerator outside in court yard for cold beverages. Parking was right in front of the Carriage House. Everything was within walking distance. We chose to drive. Didn't have any problems finding parking. The beautiful artwork by Monique's husband adorned the walls of the Carriage House. Very quaint and private. Reminded us of what a French farm house might be like! I felt like a pampered princess the whole time we were there. I cried when we left. We felt like we were leaving family behind. Perfect for a special celebration or just a unique place to stay for a relaxing get away! You will not be disappointed!!

A beautiful place in the historic district. The place was perfect for a romantic get away. The place was clean and absolutely beautiful. We stayed in the Carriage House which was the perfect townhouse style house. The kitchen was on the bottom with the bedroom and bathroom on the second floor. It was wonderful to come back to yummy dessert and wine, that just made the stay. The incredible breakfast was prepared by Monique and was absolutely beautiful and incredible tasting. We will most certainly be back soon! Thanks for the great stay!

There is a level of hospitality here that we have seen in few other properties. The Chatham Suite is a charming, two story historic townhouse, meticulously restored, beautifully and comfortably furnished, in a quiet residential neighborhood in historic Savannah. It is like staying in a friend's home. Lovely amenities, including luxurious bedding, beautiful decorative accents and artwork, and cozy bathrobes. We were spoiled by delicious gourmet breakfast brought each morning, and special treats in the refrigerator each day. Monique and her staff made us feel welcome and pampered.

We stayed at Armstrong Inns in the Carriage House property and it was absolutely wonderful! Monique greeted us with open arms upon our arrival, and made plenty of recommendations of places to eat and things to do and see. We loved the vintage, homey feel of the Carriage House, and were excited for the rare Georgia cold that allowed us to use the fireplaces! Upon our arrival there was a bottle of wine and snacks waiting for us, and when we returned each day from sightseeing there were always plenty of baked goods replenished and the house was beautifully tidied up. All of these little details, from the privacy and quaintness of the home, to the gorgeous residential area it resides in, made our stay so unique and romantic. A gem, for sure!

Armstrong Inns is the way to go if you want a private B&B. We are not the type to sit with people we do not know, will not keep in touch, nor have anything in common other then the inn we stay at, so this was perfect. We had our own B&B all to ourselves! The Jenkins Home we stayed was quaint, clean & quiet. Only complaint...one bathroom! Would highly recommend to anyone who wants a B&B experience that is personal and private. Thank you Monique for making us feel so welcome~

We emphatically concur with the other fantastic reviews of the Armstrong Inns and we are so pleased that we read them before making our decision to go with this unique B&B. Monique goes above and beyond to ensure that her guests' expectations are met and exceeded. We had privacy and never felt pressured to follow someone else's schedule. If you're looking for an experience where you feel like a pampered resident - not just a hotel guest - then Armstrong Inns B&B is for you. Thank you, Monique, for the delicious breakfasts and treats. We cannot wait to return. And Ted Eldridge's walking tour was superb.

Savannah is a feast for the senses for those who appreciate extraordinary architecture, exquisite gardens and southern charm and hospitality. And, the Armstrong Inns embody those gracious sensibilities without reservation. I stayed two lovely evenings at their Chatham Suite on Chatham Square and thoroughly enjoyed my own little Savannah "pied a terre". What a dream - from the updated, yet authentically historic suite with its luscious bedding and fabulous Tuscan styled bathroom, to its private French courtyard, to the original, and may I say, inspiring, bold and beautiful paintings by William Armstrong himself -so much so that I was moved to spend a few hours sketching in the courtyard one afternoon. Even more than the accommodation, it was my good fortune to spend time with Monique Armstrong. She is the soul of the Armstrong Inns and her grace and style infuse her Inn with charm and distinction - with a warm and loving embrace. The Chatham Suite is an experience in itself, so do yourself a favor and savor it for a few days when you're in Savannah. The experience is a scrumptious treat!

My wife, 16 year old daughter, and I stayed at the Armstrong's Jenkins House. We could not have been more pleased. It's a clean, nicely appointed 2 story 2 bedroom house. Monique, the owner, is delightful and really made us feel welcome. She made sure we had afternoon snacks, homemade sweets, and wonderful breakfasts. She is so considerate of the guests' privacy, that it's as if a little elf leaves these goodies for you to enjoy when you return from your day's activities. We have stayed in many B&Bs, and this ranks at the top. We enjoy venturing out on our own schedule. Many B&Bs have a scheduled time for breakfast and you are joined by other guests...not at the Armstrong Inns. You are provided with anything you could possibly need, but, just in case, Monique is a phone call and a few minutes away! Should you want to take a trolley tour, a driver will pick you up at your front door and take you to the trolley station. An extra bonus...off street parking. We are so glad we stayed at the Armstrongs'!

My wife and I got some alone time in the wonderful city of Savannah, GA. We stayed at the Armstrong Inn's Carriage House. The house is a lovely two story cottage with a bedroom and bathroom upstairs and a living room/kitchen down stairs. We had our own little courtyard which looked fantastic. The breakfasts were wonderful and Monique the innkeeper treated us like family. The location of the inn was with in walking distance to all of downtown Savannah. We will return!

Our 40th anniversary was magical thanks to Monique and Armstrong inns. The carriage house is pure Savannah, beautiful inside and out. Monique is a very talented interior decorator, beautiful furniture, 2 fireplaces, modern kitchen and bath, a very comfortable bed, and William Armstrong's art make the carriage house the best deal in Savannah. Then add Monique and her staff to the equation, and you've got something very special. The breakfasts were wonderful, snacks, desserts, wine, and the feeling that you're part of the family made our Savannah vacation the best that we have ever experienced, thank you Monique. See you in 2016. Thank you for the best anniversary of our lives.

We immediately felt at home staying at the Jenkins House. First we were warmly greeted by Monique and she made us comfortable in the home. The house could not have been more perfect for the 4 of us. We love the historically preserved home, however the two areas that counted the most to be modern were - kitchen and bath. The breakfast each day was delicious and plenty for us all. We never expected the extra touches of evening snacks, wine and deserts, that Monique delighted us with. It was so comfortable there we spent a night in just enjoying the surroundings, fireplace and relaxing after touring the city all day. The feather beds are incredibly comfortable, good luck getting up. You cannot beat the value!

We had a wonderful stay in the Garden Suite at Armstrong Inns - a beautiful, cozy retreat that felt like a space of our own, right on Chatham Square. From the remote control fireplace to the "rain shower" in the bathroom, the suite combined modern conveniences with historic charm. The bed was also very comfortable. Monique was delightful to meet and provided us with delicious breakfasts to heat up the following morning; ham and cheese crepes, frittata w/bacon, waffles, and quiche on different days, along with snacks. We caught a chilly week at the end of February (just missed the 70 degree weather the following week) but the charm of Savannah won us over. It felt like a home away from home. The suite is very conveniently located on the square, within walking distance from Mrs. Wilkes and many other historic sites.

The weather was unusually cool when my wife and I arrived in Savannah, but Monique's welcome to the Jenkins House was warm and gracious. During our three night stay Monique's attention to detail and her caring approach were unprecedented in our experiences of travelling the world. The gourmet food, delivered daily was beautifully presented: and a perfect compliment to the artistically decorated jenkins House. We had journeyed from Canada to celebrate our wedding anniversary amidst the beauty of the Savannah Old Historic District. We selected Armstrong Inns because their location, as well their offer of a unique approach of creating "a romantic home away from home". Armstrong's Inns exceeded our very high expectations in every way. Thank you Monique.

I stayed in the Tattnall house over a long weekend with my husband and his parents. Monique was totally and completely fabulous!! she made the check-in process super easy and we were even allowed to bring our two small dogs (the house comes with a private courtyard which is perfect for our pooches)! The house was the perfect walking distance to get downtown and see the sites without feeling like we were in the "touristy" part of town. Ms. Monique spoiled us with delicious homemade dips and cakes and pastries. she made a PHENOMENOL breakfast both mornings and checked in with us to make sure we were doing ok throughout our trip. The home has feather beds/pillows and silk sheets which made it feel like sleeping on a cloud. I would highly highly highly recommend staying in any of the Armstrong inn rooms, and will DEFINATELY be back. What a charming, wonderful weekend!

This B&B is the closest thing to a stay in paradise. We stayed in the Carriage House. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud, the food was 5-star worthy, and the hospitality was genuine. You can tell that the proprietors care deeply about their guests, because the small, thoughtful touches are evident throughout the house and especially in the food. My husband looked forward to seeing what Monique (aka the breakfast fairy) made for us each day. I would give 6 stars if I could. It has far surpassed our past experiences and no doubt spoiled us for all B&B's in the future. We are already trying to figure out when we can come back.

We have stayed in many B&Bs over the last 7 years. This ranks as the best one yet. We stayed in the Chatham Suite, a 2 story suite that is part of a home build in 1854. It is located across the street from Chatham Square. Beautifully finished, including many paintings by William Armstrong. Downstairs has an open area for living and dining, containing 2 gas fireplaces. The kitchen behind this contained snacks as well as a welcoming bottle of wine on the dining table. Upstairs was a feather bed that you had to climb into using a step stool. This room also contained a gas fireplace. We felt like royalty. The bath was small but the very well done. The shower had a rain shower head, a double shower head, and a handheld shower head. There were also 2 small balconies, one behind the kitchen and one next to the bedroom. One unique thing was the breakfast. Instead of having to go to a central dining area at a specific time, Monique prepared breakfast the night before and left it in the refrigerator. The next morning we heated it up at our leisure. There was also juice, milk, coffee, tea makings, etc. I wish to thank Monique and her staff for a wonderful, relaxing, and unique experience. If you stay in Savannah you must try the Armstrong Inns.

I almost hesitate to write this review as I almost do not want to share this place with anyone else! The Tattnall House through Armstrong Inns truly became my home for the weekend. Far more than a standard Bed and Breakfast, this truly was my "home" and Monique a member of my family. The home is in a great location and extremely well appointed. Monique pays every attention to detail and goes way out of her way to meet each person's requests. My aunt and uncle were traveling with my sister and I on this trip. My aunt has several allergies and Monique prepared foods special just for her. Speaking of food, WOW! I have never had crepes so light and fluffy and French toast and bacon that tasted better than some of the gourmet restaurants we attended in the past. And to think, all this wonderful food was eaten sitting at the most magnificent dining room table surrounded by antiques while we ate breakfast in our pajamas. Totally private, no hectic hurry up rush. We ate when we awoke from our fluffy beds at whatever time we wanted. The library and dvd selections in this house were amazing and rivaled my own! The only problem is there was not enough time to enjoy each and every book and video. The Tattnall House, as my aunt pointed out, is one of the cleanest places we have ever stayed. It was extremely difficult to end our weekend and leave our lovely "home". We love you Monique, our newest family member and cannot wait to see you again. Merci! - Cindy

From the moment we arrived until the day we left it was wonderful! Monique met us and we fell in love with her, the Jenkins House was warm and cozy, it felt peaceful. Our breakfast and treats were awesome The beds were very comfortable, every part of our stay was wonderful, we would tell everyone if you go to Savannah, please consider The Jenkins House, you will love it and Monique.

absolutely lovely, charming, well appointed b and b. Monique is a wonderful, inviting hostess and the staff is so vey helpful. we had noise trouble with the rude people above us as we stayed on the bottom floor of the carriage house. not good noise insulation. and while I'd choose this b and b over and again, I'd not stay on the bottom floor of this house or else be very clear with the staff about expectations of the people staying above you.

We received a gift certificate for Armstrong Inns as a retirement gift. Once I contacted Monique, our trip was easily planned and we reserved the Tattnall House. The house is located In a beautiful and quiet neighborhood of Savannah and is within walking distance of all of Savannah's attractions. We loved the private courtyard and enjoyed having our breakfast out there. One of the best parts of the trip was anticipating the breakfasts that were delivered each night for the next morning. Monique's pastries, tarts, quiches and other offerings were absolutely delicious! We loved our stay at the Tattnall house and really enjoyed our visit to Savannah.

The Jenkins Inn is a quaint and lovely town home - it was very well-appointed, charming and well-situated to get just about anywhere (on foot!) in Savannah. Monique, the innkeeper and chef, was attentive and provided beautifully plated and delicious breakfasts each morning. My friends and I would certainly recommend Armstrong Inns and their Jenkins Inn.

We stayed at the B&B at the Armstrong Inn in mid September. What a great time we had. The Chatham suite was beautiful and so comfortable; it was like being at home except you had someone to take care of you for six days. The service was impeccable. The food was delicious. Oh and those beds were amazing. Bathrobes were so nice to have on hand. Felt like we were back in time but with all of the modern conveniences. Monique and her staff treated us like you were family and made us so welcome. If you needed something all you had to do was ask and it would be there later on in the day. Savannah is beautiful and a must see destination. If you ever get a chance to go there try to stay in one of the Armstrong Inns. You won’t be disappointed. There is a great Beer bar (Crystal Beer) about five minutes away that we enjoyed. We felt like we were one of the patrons that have going for years. Great location, nice neighborhood Thank you Monique, Hope to return, it was a great vacation!

I stayed in the Chatham Suite and it was everything I had hoped for and more. Monique is a superb hostess and her breakfasts are amazing! The staff was friendly and efficient, and everything was in perfect working order. Antique stores, restaurants, shopping, and historic sites were all within easy walking distance. The B&B truly surpassed my expectations and I can't wait to go back!

We stayed in the Garden Suite on Chatham Square - This suite is very charming and beautiful - It was the perfect place for our little weekend getaway - Having breakfast in the private courtyard was amazing - We were able to walk everywhere and did not even get back into our car until checkout - Monique was awesome in making sure that we were comfortable and enjoying our trip - We plan on staying at this inn again during our next trip to Savannah -

The Chatham Suite was just as beautiful and luxurious as shown in the pictures on Armstrong Inn's web page. Chatham square is a short 15 minute stroll from the waterfront. We enjoyed walking through the squares at night and felt this was a safe location. One of the reasons we chose Armstrong Inns is because I have severe anaphylactic reactions to food allergens. Monique assured me that she could safely prepare my foods, and we also had access to a fully stocked kitchen. Monique prepared the most wonderful breakfast, despite my allergies to eggs, wheat, seafood and apples. This was my first time eating foods that I did not prepare at home in 8 months without a trip to the ER. Thank you Monique!!

Ahh Savannah!!! We've been through it a dozen times but never immersed ourselves in it. We found the Armstrong Inns and took advantage of a weekend getaway. The love of my life and myself are middle aged (40's) with no children at home and needed a break from the rigors of work and home. We enjoyed strolling the historic district, seeing the squares. Both of us are avid outdoorsy people and I own a landscaping company so when the weather cooperates and we get time to see how nicely other areas are taken care or and landscaped we jump at the opportunity. We also both enjoy cooking and trying new recipes and the various restaurants of Savannah we tried did NOT disappoint. There were so many to choose from within walking or strolling distance. Our accommodations were charming and full of history although upgraded with all the modern conveniences one would possibly need while on vacation. The staff were friendly, helpful and really behind the scenes so as not to intrude in the our time we had there. Overall, it was a top weekend experience for us.

My wife and I have stayed in many Bed and Breakfast Inns over the years, but the Chatham Suite of the Armstrong Inns is far and above the best of them all. The accommodations were clean and comfortable and there was nothing that we could want. Although the Suite was "over the top" the treatment by the Armstrong Inn staff was unbeatable. We had the feeling from the first minute that we were staying at a friend's home and that nothing was spared to make our visit enjoyable and memorable. We were even visited my Monique, the Innkeeper/Owner just prior to our departure. She thanked us profusely for choosing the Armstrong Inn and she really meant it. There is absolutely no doubt in our minds that when we return to Savannah we will definitely stay at an Armstrong Inn. Thank you Monique and your staff for enabling us to have a most memorable 55th wedding anniversary.

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Carriage House June 1st - 5th. We had a wonderful time! We chose the Armstrong Inns because we wanted something more private than a typical B&B. The Carriage House was perfect for us; it is a cozy, charming and beautifully decorated little apartment with everything you need for your stay, a full kitchen and dishwasher, a washer & dryer and a beautiful courtyard - and friendly courtyard cat! Monique and her staff (we met lovely Rodney the contractor who keeps the property in tip top shape) are all wonderful, friendly warm people! They are so helpful, if there is anything you need, just ask! (Thank you again for the beach chairs & the bug bite creme and BBQ recommendation!!) Every afternoon we were delighted to see what our breakfast would be for the morning (and the brownies were fantastic!!!)! The Carriage House is 1.1 miles from the Riverfront according to our GPS. We found it to be about a 20 minute stroll, which was lovely because we got to explore all of the squares and beautiful historic streets along the way. This was our first visit to Savannah, we will definitely come back and will definitely stay at the Armstrong Inn again!

We chose to stay in the Garden Suite for our destination wedding trip to Savannah. We fell in love with it from the moment we walked in. The bed was fluffy and luxuriously comfortable, but the best feature was the private garden. We would have breakfast there and then relax there again after our days activities. Monique was very responsive to our needs and did everything possible to make our stay enjoyable. The location on Chatham Square was excellent for walking almost anywhere within the Historic District. We hope to return in the future for anniversary celebrations!

My sister and I took my two teenage nieces to Charleston and Savannah for Spring Break. In Savannah we stayed at the Tatnall House and the Jenkins House. We absolutely loved our experience in both houses. Monique is such a wonderful hostess and her staff is excellent. The Tatnall house is an outstanding location with beautiful antique furnishings. We loved it. The Jenkins house is a little more modern and is an excellent choice for families. The beds were so comfortable. Breakfast and desserts were wonderful! I am a vegetarian and each day they prepared something special for me! So wonderful! Monique catered to our every need and was dedicated to making sure we were happy with our stay.

My new husband and I chose to stay at one of the Armstrong Inns, called the Chatham Suite, during our wedding weekend in Savannah earlier this month. We wanted something different, and more special than the typical hotel. When searching for special or unique places to stay, nothing really seemed appropriate, until I found the Armstrong Inns. I read almost every TripAdvisor review, most of which raved about their experiences. I then called the owner Monique, to book it, because I was sold. I can't tell you how glad I am that I did. It was such a wonderful experience, from Start to finish! We stayed in the Chatham Suite, which is the top two floors of one house. My best friend stayed in the Garden Suite, which was the lower level of the house. Both were amazing! I honestly couldn't tell you which I liked better. They were both beautifully decorated, and each had special touches which will make it had to chose which to stay at on our next visit. One thing I can say for sure, is that wild houses couldn't keep me away from staying again! As other reviews have noted, the treats that they brought each day were wonderful, as were the breakfasts. My only complaint, is that my friend received a chocolate peach pastry that was AMAZING, but I did not. I really want that recipe, because it was divine, and I was jealous! The coffee that they provide is locally roasted, and absolutely delicious. I brought a bag of it home with me, and wish I had gotten more than one, as it's wonderful coffee and made our experience that much more enjoyable. In all it was an amazing experience. I cannot recommend The Armstrong Inns highly enough - it was wonderful experience!

We had the pleasure of staying at the Garden Suite, the Tattnall House and the Jenkins house during our recent trip to Savannah. Great location - right in the middle of the historic district. We could walk to everything. No need for a car. All these properties are lovely and each unique in their own way. The breakfasts and sweets were wonderful. Individual frittatas and quiche that were easy to heat up in the morning and were delicious. Great Savannah roast coffee was also provided. It was like a home away from home!! Monique, Adella, Kirsten were all very helpful and very accessible to us. I would highly recommend the Armstrong Inns.

This was our second trip to the Armstrong Inn B&B! Once again everything was perfect. Breakfast is amazing and beautiful. The chef prepares the breakfast at night and stores it in your personal frig..... which is perfect. We could eat whenever our little hearts desired. One morning we had french toast stuffed with lemon cream and pecans / sausage onion blue cheese and apple quiche with fruits, cheese, juice & lots of baked goodies. To prepare the breakfast all you need to do is put it in the toaster over for 5-10 mins. The coffee is was still making while we heated the food so it was NOT inconvenient at all. Speaking of the coffee its an amazing local roast too. The staff will plan your trip and do ANYTHING you need. The inn is walking distance from ALL of downtown. We celebrated our 1 year anniversary this trip we visited the gorgeous Tybee Island, took a tour of homes, did a carriage ride, ate fine southern foods, walked the beautiful streets & enjoyed the gardens. Savannah is the most romantic city and the staff at the Armstrong Inn helps you get the insiders view of that. I cant wait to plan our 3rd trip to the carriage house!!!!

We shared a glorious 3 days in The Armstrong Inns' Garden Suite. The Suite was clean and very comfortable. There was a wonderful gourmet breakfast provided for us every morning of our stay. The beautiful enclosed, private garden was one of the many highlights of our first trip to Savannah. The staff responded promptly to our calls and was very polite. We would choose Armstrong Inns anytime we visit Savannah.

Our first visit to Armstrong Inn was just wonderful and we have already booked another trip. The ambience was in every detail of the Chatham house including the service. Our daily culinary delights were delivered to eat at our leisure and in private. Monique and all the staff were very helpful and we highly recommend the experience and pleasure. We loved the fireplaces, the porches and the new beautiful bathroom, and walk in closet for trip clutter. Thank you all for a wonderful stay!

I am so very pleased with my stay at the Armstrong Inns Jenkins house during my visit to Savanah this January. The house is in excellent condition and so very lovely, even better than the photos online portrayed. The beds are very comfortable, the breakfast selections were tasty and unique, and the off street parking was a big plus! The proprietor, Monique, is absolutely adorable and refreshing to be around. I truly felt "at home" in the Jenkins house...I even skipped a day of sightseeing just to hang around the house and relax. I would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend it to anyone else visiting the area. Stayed January 2014

I had one of the best weekends of my life. It was so romantic and lovely. Perfect location, close to the river and lots of restaurants and entertainment. Also, you don't really share the house with anyone else, so it's like you are alone. We'll be back.

My husband booked the Garden Suite for two nights the weekend before 2013 Christmas. The accomodations were so much more than we could have imagined. The Suite was beautiffully decorated and outfitted with authentic consideration for the era of the building's history and its location on one of Savannah's iconic squares. The Armstrong Inn's unique concept of providing a personal menu of afternoon snacks and a morning brunch in our own well equipped kitchen was so nice to come in to after a long day of wandering the streets and visiting the shops and galleries, as well as a substantial way to start off another day of vacationing adventures. The chef's culinary skills were evident in the choice, preparation and presentation of her selections. The layout of the suite from the cloud soft bed to the updated bathroom to the walk-out patio which was filled with lush green plants in December, was a joyful oasis from what otherwise is such a hectic time of year. Monique and her graciously efficient staff were the ultimate hosts.

The Carriage House at the Armstrong Inn was the most beautiful and luxurious place we have stayed and Monique could not have been more gracious or helpful. The Carriage House is absolutely charming and very well appointed. We were in Savannah during a cold snap and thoroughly enjoyed the 2 fireplaces (one on each level). The bed was a dream– the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. The Carriage House itself, the furnishings and artwork are beautiful and make for a very romantic setting. The breakfast was excellent and far exceeded our expectations. It was truly gourmet fare and so substantial we saved part of the meal for dessert in the evening. With a full kitchen, we could heat it up the breakfast and it was like having a hot breakfast freshly delivered. The full kitchen was helpful since we did not eat every single meal out although the selection of restaurants in Savannah is exceptional. Monique steered us to several excellent restaurants. She was also very helpful with recommendations on what to see and do in Savannah. If the weather had been warmer, we would've spent some time in the lovely private garden attached to the Carriage House. With two TVS, a DVD/CD player, and Internet access, we were not lacking for entertainment when we decided to stay in. There is plenty of parking and the Inn is located in a very nice area where I felt safe and was within walking distance to everything. The Carriage House is also pet-friendly and Monique could not have been more accommodating to all of her guests. Needless to say, we highly recommend the Carriage House and hope to return in the near future.

Stayed in 1st floor Garden Suite located on historic Chatham Square. Setting is quiet and upscale. -- Excellent value for the money--especially for a luxury unit. -- Helpful, engaging co-owner, Monique, made restaurant reservations and arranged private carriage ride ending at our restaurant. -- Varied, creative gourmet breakfasts and evening snacks by chef Doreen. -- New top-end tumbled marble bath with great fixtures. -- Fine ambiance--attractive exposed beams, paving brick floor, feather bed with alcove at head (wonderful for my aching back), many outstanding landscape paintings by noted artist/co-owner William Armstrong. -- Sizable gas-fueled fireplace--it was super on a rainy afternoon and evening. -- All the touches have been thought of and provided.

Lovely private carriage house in the historic district. Good location for walking around the city. Monique was very helpful with planning activities and dining reservations. Cozy room with beautiful garden and great homemade baked goods.

To fall in love with a city you have to get into it's rhythm and move as it's inhabitants. Experience their way to eat, sleep and walk the streets. The Amstrong Inns is just what the doctor ordered. Amazing. And let me tell you about Monique: OH LALA!! Enjoy life, get to Savannnah now and definitely stay at the Armstrong Inns!

My husband and I just celebrated our birthdays (yes, we were born a day apart) at the Carriage House of the Armstrong Inns and what a divine weekend it was! We spent three glorious days at Monique"s beautiful Carriage House being pampered with treats, delicious breakfasts and attention to detail that is simply not found at most bed and breakfast inns. The Carriage House is private and feels like a secret sanctuary right in the city of Savannah. You are close to everything the city has to offer yet tucked away from crowds. The place is spotless, with two gas fireplaces, a claw foot tub with a rain shower and the bed is heaven on earth! This was our first visit to Savannah, our first visit with the Armstrong Inns but it certainly will not be our last! If you find yourself lucky enough to travel to Savannah, do yourself a huge favor and stay at the Armstrong Inns. Jo and Tony

My husband and I just celebrated our first wedding anniversary in Savannah. We picked Armstrong Inns and it was the best decision!! We celebrate big and stay in beautiful places when we travel (my husband is a boat captain and is away for months at a time, so when he comes home we like to find the most interesting, lovely places to spend our time together) and Armstrong Inns surely delivered! It's a place full of love, warmth, happiness, romance, peace... it's truly a little slice of heaven on Earth. Their website is a very true representation of what you will see an experience when you get there-- actually even better in person! We were pleasantly surprised every day. We felt right at home, but had all the luxuries of staying in a resort. Monique catered to our every need! And every afternoon, Doreen puts the MOST delicious fresh baked goodies and breakfasts in your room for the next morning. You just reheat them in the oven and it's PERFECTION! Don't worry about the whole reheating thing. Everything she makes heats up beautifully. You will LOVE it. You won't go out to eat for breakfast. We went out for breakfast one day and we wished we didn't. The food is incredible. Our Carriage House was gorgeous, so much character, very private, just lovely. The bed is like a could, dressed with very high quality bedding! There is a full kitchen, private patio, love seat, two fireplaces, and a gorgeous claw foot tub! Great to soak in! Best place we've ever stayed ANYWHERE! Hands down! We will DEFINITELY be coming back. I even shed a tear as we left because we really grew to know and love Monique and we truly think of her like family. What a darling lady.

Wow! The Jenkin's house is amazing. My husband and I spent our honeymoon in Savannah and could not have chosen a better place to stay. The staff was amazing and so was the food!! We will definitely stay at the Jenkin's house again!!

Pets allowed; Chef that caters to your dietary needs; Ton's of helpful advice from Monique as to places to go, eat and how to get there; the best bedding for anyone with a bad back; your own private parking space; Is there any need to keep writing this? Is there any need to keep reading this? You would be crazy if you did not book at least one 3 day getaway a year for you and your spouse at Armstrong Inns.

Visiting Savannah for first time we wanted to have the feeling of being enveloped in the southern hospitality and surounded old atmosphere ...that why we choose the Carriage House in Armstrong House Inn... We stated there for three nights and we had to agreed with the previous reviews we had read ...the house is couzy, private, charmy and beautiful...with two fire places : one in the first floor and the other in the bedroom...a private beautiful terrace with lots of plants... Monique has a great personality and welcome us with wine and cheese ready to enjoy.....Doreen, the chef, prepared for us a succulent breakfast with different plates every day..and a copy of Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil .. so it was great to watch the movie again and visit the famous places : the welcome to Georgia balcony, Clary's, Club 1, J. Williams House, etc.... Savannah is a magic city and Carriage House is a perfect place to enjoy that feeling when you go back to relax for a while after walking its streets...

I cannot recommend this inn strongly enough for those who want the real Savannah experience! It's like having your own apartment in the middle of everything! The location is beautiful and convenient. The bed was amazingly comfortable and the food is without exception! I wouldn't stay anywhere else!

The Armstrong Inn Carriage House was the perfect blend of cozy charm, comfy bed, great privacy and wonderful hospitality. Our thanks to the Armstrong Inn chef for meeting our dietary needs. The food was great! The carriage house was a great place for us to stay on our first Savannah vacation. We will be back to Savannah and highly recommend Armstrong Inns.

Monique is wonderful at what she does. She is a selfless person and that attribute spills out on how she treats her guests. Nothing was rushed, or pushed, or unexpected. Someone had prepared breakfast and lunch everyday so if we didn't want to go out we didn't have to. There are resources that will pinpoint all the good places to visit while you're in town. The house was small, but it a good way: packed with character, design, and charm. You will not regret staying here.

My family and I stayed in the Chatham Suite and Garden Suite for 2 nights. It was an incredible experience. This was our first time visiting Savannah and we definitely made the right decision staying at the Armstrong Inns. Monique, the innkeeper, makes you feel right at home from the start. She gives you a personal tour of each suite and points out all of the delicious gourmet food we had waiting for us! Monique then provided us with tips on where to dine and what tours we should take, which were all right on the money! Savannah is truly a remarkable city, but staying at the Armstrong Inns was even more remarkable!! We will definitely be coming back soon!!

The title pretty much says it all! My wife and I spent 4 wonderful nights in the Carriage House at Armstrong Inns. Monique and Daniel were absolutely wonderful, when we first got there they took the time to explain the history of the house; they also showed us how everything worked. We were very hungry when we arrived and Monique told us several places where we could get some great food. The breakfasts and treats were amazing (especially the cheese cake)! The inn is also located perfectly my wife and I were able to walk to see some great historic homes! Highly recommended! Savannah is a beautiful city and Armstrong Inns is one of it's gems! We will be back!

We were looking for that 'special' place to celebrate our 40th anniversary. We found it at the Chatham Suite personal Inn. This property has no equal in Savannah. If you want to experience a wonderfully attentive staff and services and at the same time be in your own personal residence then this is the place. We felt 'at home' immediately. We enjoyed the luxury of 'our schedule'. There were wonderful custom meals and desserts along with fruits and juices prepared and delivered daily from Chef Elisabeth. Making reservations was very pleasant and simple. Great directions and instructions were prepared and given in advance with no glitches. Check out was as simple as 'closing the door'. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud. The bath room was recently renovated and is exactly as it appears in their pictures. If you are seeking rest and relaxation, this is your place! We can't express our deep appreciation to Monique & William Armstrong for making this property available for us to experience. It is very special to live in the former residence of such famous and talented personage. We were made to feel immediately as if we were 'family' by the Armstrong's. This is a 'must' if you are visiting Savannah. You will not be disappointed! Brad & Linda

I wanted my daughter and granddaughter to always have a special memory of when they visited Savannah for the first time. It began as we entered our own little secret garden entrance to the Jenkins House. The home was so very lovely and each room brought it's own special surprise. The refrigerator held fresh squeezed orange juice and home made apple strudal and other wonderful treats including wine and cheese. During a tour we saw the Mercer House and then returned home to watch Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil (DVD was available) on one of the many tvs in the house. After a long day of sightseeing we returned and each was able to relax in an amazing shower that offered four types of shower heads. But the very best way to end our day was stepping up (step included) into the most comfortable bed we had ever slept in. We agreed that we felt like the rich and the famous. We loved the Jenkins House and Monique (the owner) is a charming and beautiful lady. I want to thank her for making our stay in Savannah a most memorable time that we will always remember.

I stayed in the Carriage House at Armstrong Inns this past week, and was just amazed at how comfortable, clean, wonderfully decorated, and warm it was. I felt as if I had been transported to a French boutique hotel in the heart of Savannah. Mrs Monique, Ms Elizabeth - were just so gracious and caring. The chef prepared these exquisite gifts that were put in my refrigerator every morning, with such care and flavor. I really did feel like a queen. As a single female in Savannah, I felt safe and comfortable, as if I had a new home away from home. I will be returning again and again to my new family. Thank you so much. Connie

Our family stayed and both the Chatham Suite and the Tattnall House over Memorial Day Weekend...we could not have been more pleased. The food that was provide was very well prepared and we especially like the fact that we could eat at our leisure each morning. The accommodations were excellent and I should mention that the multiply heads in the shower of the Chatham Suite were very nice. The DVD movie of "Midnight In The Garden of Good and Evil" was a nice touch and we enjoyed watching it one evening of our visit. Thank you Monique and Kirsten for making our visit very memorable!

We stayed at Tatnall House during our daughter's graduation from SCAD and had a wonderful time. It was the perfect respite during a very busy trip. The rooms were very comfortable and the food, from the nightly desserts (awesome cherry pie) to the croissants and breakfast quiche, were spectacular! The location is within walking distance of all the major attractions Ian's was extremely quiet as well. We will stay there again on our next visit.

My husband and I are local Savannahians and were married in March 2013. We chose this Inn to have a space close to our ceremony/reception for our wedding weekend. It was large enough to accomodate my bridesmaids for before-wedding preparations. The staff went above and beyond to make sure the suite was perfect for our wedding night. They accomodated my many requests with ease. Loved the beautiful fireplaces and the impecable service. I would recommend this to all.

Second stay at the Armstrong Inn. Monique and her staff pay attention to every detail. This is a cozy lovely little jewel in the Historic District. Your own private B&B in the heart of Savannah. One of my favorite places to stay. Cozy robes, fruit in the fridge & a bottle of wine waiting for you when you arrive.

My husband and I stayed at the Chatham Suite for two evenings before moving to the Tattnall House to join family. The Chatham Suite was bright and cozy with 3 fireplaces and the location off the square was perfect. We would have stayed there for our entire 5 day vacation, but it was only available the first two nights. The breakfasts left for us to warm each day were delicious and the croissants were wonderful. I would recommend the Chatham Suite to anyone looking for the perfect couple's getaway. It is close enough to the sites and shopping to walk to, but far enough away to give you peace and quiet. Savannah and the Chatham Suite are both amazing and we will definitely be back. Thank you Monique for the thoughtful touches you include in your lovely Inns.

I loved my stay at Tattnall House in Savannah! Monique was really great at getting us settled in and making reservations for us for dinner and a carriage ride through the Historic District of Savannah. Just returned back from a wonderful weekend with my husband in Savannah. We love the city so much we go several times a year. This trip was to celebrate our Anniversary. It was such a lovely surprise to discover we were staying in a beautifully furnished 2 bedroom house all by ourselves! We did bring out little dog Pumpkin, and she loved it as well. The interior was clean and comfortable. Monique and her staff even accomodated our vegan diet! The feather beds are devine, as well as the comfy sofa in the living room. I can't wait to go again! We have stayed at some very nice bed and breakfasts, but we both agree this fits our style even better. Monique did not charge us for 2 bedrooms, since we only needed the one. Thank-you Monique and staff for helping making our weekend perfect! Lori and David Maxwell

My wife and I had four wonderful nights at the Armstrong Inns Garden Suite. It is perfectly placed to explore Savannah on foot - between the very center of the historic district and Forsyth Park: accessible yet quiet and private. The room and garden were delightful, the decor and architecture have the perfect Savannah feel. The breakfasts were outstanding, and staff exceedingly helpful. It isn't the cheapest room in Savannah, but I looked at a lot online and I feel this is probably really good value. The only drawback is beautiful exposed beams let some sound through from above - it didn't bother us but might if you are a light sleeper. If you want to stay somewhere private, perfectly located, with an amazing Savannah feel, this is for you.

This was our first visit to Savannah and we absolutely fell in love with both the city and the Tatnall House. My husband and I have two young children, ages 2 and 4. We travel all the time. It was great having our own home while on vacation and not having to worry about for the first time if our children were too loud or if they were disturbing other guests. The location is perfect. Everything is in walking distance. Forsyth Park is a 2 minute walk from the home and the children loved going there daily to play. The home is beautifully decorated. It was wonderful arriving to wine, cheese and other goodies after our drive in to town. The breakfast every morning was excellent! We definitely plan to return to Savannah and will never stay anywhere else!

Perfect place for a romantic getaway. The Carriage House is quiet, beautifully decorated and has a lovely garden. We love being able to have a delicious breakfast in the privacy of our own suite, on our own time. Everything is in walking distance so we were able to enjoy leisurely romantic walks. Definitely not your typical Bed and Breakfast experience... So much better.

We choose to stay in the carriage house and it was just beautiful the home was decorated just lovely and the food was outstanding. We felt so pamperd during our trip. We did bring our dog and we loved how we could walk him around the area. Monique was just the nicest person she made us feel like we had known her forever and her beautiful gardens were amazing. I can not wait to stay at armstrong inns again hopefully sometime soon. a real relaxing vacation with the best of everything you could imagine from the comfy bed the decor and paintings to the most delicious food prepared for us. I do not think i have ever had such a relaxing trip before this one.

What a wonderful vacation! Armstrong Inn (The Carriage House is where we stayed) was so beautiful and comfortable, we could not have asked for more. Monique and her staff were so charming, friendly and very helpful in providing us information for our stay in Savannah. The food was fantastic also, so thoughtful as we always had fresh fruit, juice, coffee and sweets on hand (delicious!). Thanks so much to all of you for helping to make our trip to Savannah a very memorable one indeed..Lisa & Leigh

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Jenkins House during our trip to Savannah. Everything was great, as comfortable as can be. The food is outstanding - a different breakfast and treats delivered each day. The breakfasts are fantastic - very special and unique. The treats are homemade, light and not too sweet. They were masterful! Hard candies are hidden about... The house is beautiful and the staff is always a phone call away, a few blocks down the road. I wouldn't stay anywhere else!

Our stay at the Armstong Inns Chatham Suite in Savannah will bring us wonderful memories that will last a lifetime . We highly recommend Armstrong Inns.

My husband and I spent our Honey Moon at the Armstrong Inn Tatinall House. It wasn't a problem that we arrived late. We arrived at a beautiful restored period house with lots of unique charm. We especially enjoyed our private garden, and full kitchen. After our stay we stayed in Bed & Breakfast along our journey to New Orleans, and this place was clearly the best of them all. We would love to come again!

Our stay in the Garden Suite at Armstrong Inns was very unique, comfortable, and very accommodating. We especially desire to give our kudos to the chef- the quiche was fantastic! We stayed in the Carriage House. It was perfectly quaint, felt as if it were our own privet little house. Monique has thought of EVERYTHING, to make this experience as carefree and homey as possible. From the delicious breakfast foods (we ate everything , every day) to the decadent feather bed ( I went out and bought myself a feather comforter just to emulate this experience. ) The location is excellent, close enough to walk everywhere yet just outside the touristy hustle and bustle. Best of all...... it is totally privet and romantic, so if you Love the person you are vacationing with, Armstrong Inns are the PERFECT choice.

After searching the internet for the perfect place to visit for our 40th anniversary, we chose the Armstrong Inns in Savannah. Being unsure which suite to chose, we asked Monique for a recommendation. Her suggestion of the Chatham Suite was perfect. It allowed us the space we wanted but was cozy and inviting. She and her staff were awesome. Monique worked with my husband to have flowers delivered to our suite daily. (40 for 40 years!) Adam was so helpful on orienting us to Savannah; his suggestions of things to see and places to eat were just what we wanted. He even made all our reservations for us. The 17hundred90 restaurant is a wonderful place to eat; the food was excellent and it was not as noisy as Vic's. It was so nice to have breakfast in our suite so we could eat whenever we wanted and not on the schedule of the inn; the food was scrumptious and plentiful. I highly recommend the carriage tour; we learned a lot about the history of Savannah in a very relaxing and romantic atmosphere. Even though I became ill while there (Adam promptly offered to get medical help if needed), our stay was wonderful. We will definitely be returning here in the future. I cannot imagine anywhere being better than the Armstrong Inns.

From the moment I called to make my reservation at the Armstong Inn, I was met that Southern hospitality we all hear about. Kirsten was the most pleasant and helpful reservationist that I have ever come across. Prior to our arrival in Savannah, Kirsten aided me in booking excursions and dinner reservations. Upon arrival at the Armstrong Inn, we were again greeted with the friendliest staff that took us to our accomodations. The Carriage House, we were overjoyed from the minute we walked up to this beautiful, quaint home. We felt like we were a part of history. The Carriage House is decorated beautifully, you can feel and see the love and thought that was put into this home. From the furnishing, to the paintings on the walls, to the delicious baked goods in the refrigerator, and the private courtyard which is a trpoical little oasis right outside your door, equipped with a pond and the little touches such as the tealights hanging in the trees, it was delightful! I would highly recommend this Inn, it is more than just a stay, it's a Southern experience not to be missed!!

Savannah is such a great city to visit. History, architect, great food... it is all there. And if you are going to Savannah I highly recommend Armstrong Inns. We stayed at the Tattnall House, a two story, two bedroom standalone townhouse built in the 1850's. As you sit in the parlor looking into the dinning room you really do feel like it is 1850. The house is decorated beautifully with the perfect furniture, accessories and artwork. The kitchen is new, spacious and clean. The location of the Tattnall House is close to many great restaurants and you can easily walk to any spot in the historic district within 20-30 minutes. Each morning you are supplied a fantastic breakfast with a main course, fruit, juices and specialty coffee. If you stay will Armstrong Inns you will deal with Monique who is one of the nicest persons you will ever meet. Service was top notch, the Tattnall House is beautiful, and Savannah is a must see. Go!

My husband and I just returned from our romantic and relaxing stay at the Armstrong Inn. It was our first time in Savannah. Staying at the inn was like visiting my grandmother. It had so much charm. We had a home made breakfast prepared and left in the frig for us every morning. which was so delicious ,and the feather bed was intoxicating. We were so well taken care of. We stayed in the Chatham Garden Suite and slept with he garden door open with the fire place roaring each night. Everything you see and read is accurate. There are not enough words to describe this INCREDIBLE B&B. Perfect is really the only one that addresses it best. We especially enjoyed the service and the host ability to have pre-predicted our every need. It was magical. We had the charm of historic Savannah with the touches and luxury we have come to craze in our modern day. Our private Chatham Suite was were we kicked-off our honeymoon and will always remain our special place. We have been fortunate to stay in some amazing places but this is truly among the top!

We stayed at the Jenkins house during the Savannah Rock 'n' Roll Marathon. Our party had three adults and two children under the age of 2. Monique was a fantastic host and went out of her way to provide a high chair, whole milk, and a pack and play for the babies. The food that was provided in the house was also outstanding (the coffee was also amazing). We really enjoyed having our own private space, particularly with the children's nap schedules. The house was beautiful and very well appointed. Next time we visit Savannah, we'll be giving Monique a call!

Our stay in Savannah at Armstrong Inn's Carriage House couldn't have been better. Our three days there made for a perfect start to our week-long honeymoon adventures. Monique has created a cozy, relaxing retreat with wonderful little touches (the beautiful artwork, the toiletries available for our use, the luxurious bedding, the recommendations concerning dining and sight-seeing) that made this B&B top notch in our minds. The breakfasts were stellar and we almost didn't want to leave because of them! Her french toast breakfast is amazing! ;-) We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Savannah and our stay as the Carriage House was indeed one of the highlights. My husband and I would happily and definitely recommend Armstrong Inns to anyone visiting Savannah! We can't thank Monique and her staff (Rebecca) enough! Nina & Tim

We stayed in early October 2012 and will DEFINITELY go back again and again!! The service offered by Monique, Rebecca and team is exceptional... and I don't throw that word around. I certainly did not expect the level of personal service we received from a B&B, and what a wonderful surprise! This is not JUST a bed and breakfast. The team will do everything they can to make SURE that everything is perfect for your stay. The ONLY time I've received this level of service and attention to detail was at one absurdly expensive 5 star hotel, and the other 5 star hotels did NOT match up. Go. It's worth it!

Everything was perfect. The Garden Suite was just what we needed for a great time in Savannah Georgia. The breakfasts were great and we were stuffed until dinner. The room was cozy and our little garden terrace made the experience perfect. Our host, Monique, went out of her way to make our stay in Savannah enjoyable. She helped us with places to visit, restaurants to eat at, transportation and everything else you need in a city you have just arrived in. We were set up with Ted Eldridge and his tour was great. We walked the great city and told us about the history of the buildings and the parks. A great walk. The food we ate was sensational. Mrs. Wilkes boarding house is worth the wait. When we return to Savannah we will stay at the Armstrong Inn on Chatham Square.

Monique has created a magical setting with this property. From the time you enter through the beautiful courtyard you are transported back in time to an elegant and sophisticated home full of antiques and beautifully appointed. The place was spotless and the food; fresh croissant, cakes, breakfasts, were hand delivered by Monique herself ! She made us feel welcome, at home and appreciated. She really knows how to do it right. The best travel experience and accommodations I have had in a long time. Can't wait to go back!

Our recent trip to Savannah was absolutely enchanting. We stayed at the Armstrong Inn in the Garden Suite. The suite was beautifully decorated and the patio was charming. We loved having breakfast in the breakfast nook and made sure to sleep in since the bed was so plush and comfortable. It was also a special treat to shower with the "rain" shower head. On top of the fabulous decor, the staff was very hospitable and knowledgeable with great recommendations of places to visit in Savannah. This was our first trip to Savannah so the recommendations were much appreciated. One of our favorites was the Crystal Beer Parlor. It was in the neighborhood and we felt like locals. The staff truly did their best to make sure our stay was everything we were looking for in a vacation. Even after our stay I had left behind a favorite pair of flip flops and they contacted me and happily offered to return them. All and all, we loved our stay at the Armstrong Inn. I would recommend staying there to anyone visiting Savannah.

Monique was most pleasant upon arrival greeting us with "Bon Jour" and a warm smile; Adam's expertise covered everything from transportation to meals; and Rebecca was joyfully accomodating as well. The Chatham Suite was an intimate "home away from home" and was equally as charming as Savannah itself. The attention to detail by the staff was heart warming as they desired to serve in ways that were unique to us. It felt like we were staying with close relatives who knew personal things about us. We especially enjoyed the area where we stayed as it was very quiet and set back from the river area. We highly recommend the Chatham Suite and know that you will be most satisfied with all it has to offer. We'll be back. Rob and Robyn Romanoff, Key West, FL

This was the perfect trip. I surprised my boyfriend for his birthday by bringing him down to Savannah. He was in awe. We are a young couple and we wanted our first planned trip to be the best and picking Armstrong Inn was Perfect!! We stayed in the Garden Suite and the bed was so comfortable and they laid red roses all over the bed and in the bathroom. There were candles everywhere and not to mention the french doors that opened to the outside garden was perfect. We will definitely be back as Savannah was a great romantic city and we will also be back to the Armstrong Inn as this was a perfect comfy, private, quiet B&B. The hospitality was great so everything they offer is well worth it!!

Our stay in the Carriage House of The Armstrong Inns was outstanding. The attention to detail was incredible. We opted to begin our stay with a carriage ride with the wine and cheese basket. This add-on was fantastic. Monique Armstrong prepared the most incredible cheese tray for our ride through the city. Our refrigerator was stocked with water, fruit, cheese and breakfast quiches. The privacy offered by the Armstrong Inns is incredible. It was such a treat having our own private residence within the historic district. I had no idea such an experience existed, let along at such a reasonable rate. Our future plans for Savannah certainly include The Armstrong Inns. Our stay was amazing and unforgettable. I would highly recommend these properties to anyone.

My husband and I were delighted with the charm of the Carriage House. We found it to be a cozy and comfortable B&B just a 20 minute stroll to the Riverfront. Wine and cheese awaited us upon our arrival and the fridge was stocked daily with outstanding breakfast foods that we could enjoy at our leisure in the morning. If you want a true Savannah experience, we recommend the Carriage House.

This was my wife and I's second stay at the Chatam Suite. Monique's inn perfectly captures the history, charm and romance of Savannah. The accomodation is very roomy, with plenty of closets, outdoor spaces, a very plush bed, and location directly in front of one of the more beautiful squares in Savannah. Monique and her staff were so hospitable and attentive to our needs. Our kitchen was stocked with plenty of goodies and the rooms were immaculate. When we return to Savannah, we will definetly being staying with Monique again!

What a wonderful and charming bed & breakfast! I was married this past June and my family stayed in the Chatham Suite, my bridesmaids the Tattnall House, and my husband and I shared the Garden Suite on our first night as newlyweds. Monique and her staff truly made our stay special and a night to remember. With fresh red roses and rose petals scattered and a soft candlelit glow leading from the bedroom to the patio we felt like we were in a fairytale! What a lovely and kind gesture from Monique to start our lives together. Each residence is beautiful and unique with an elegant sense of decoration and comfort. Monique called each morning to ensure that we had enough food; restocking the fridge daily with items of our choice. I feel that this bed & breakfasts exceeds many in Savannah and I truly look forward to staying here many more times in the future!

Our first trip to Savannah and it won't be our last. A beautiful B and B which is more like your own little vacation rental. Fully equipped kitchen. Beautiful bed - like sleeping on a cloud. Absolutely delicious breakfast provided. Everything you can think or right down to dental floss. Plenty of privacy but Monique charming and so helpful too.

We just came back from Savannah which we loved also because we stayed at the Armstrong Inn. We are a family of 4 with 2 young children (a 4 years old and a 15 months old) and the Tattnal house was just perfect for us. It’s not just stunning (a beautiful old single home with 2 stores, with ancient furniture), but also the perfect spot to spend time for our little family. The house is gorgeous, the living space it’s great with the 3 different ambient (kitchen, living room and dining room) and the 2 bedrooms upstairs with the bathroom fitted well our needs. We spent a lot of time strolling around the town (you don’t really need the car since the house is really centrally situated) but we had our own “spot” to come back to take a nap or just relax in the garden and have one of the delicious snacks Monique made for us every day. Our kitchen and fridge were always full of everything we need (delicious coffe, milk, croissants, bagel, quiche or sandwiches, juices, water), the house was redone every day, they changed our towels, and everything was neat and clean. Monique gave us some advices where to go to eat (we tried most of the restaurants on the lit and they were really good!), what to do in Savannah (carriage tours, visits to the historical houses) and she checked on us every day to make sure everything was all right, what a treat!! Our stay was really pleasant, thanks so much to the Armstrong staff, you made our vacation!!

Wonderful weekend at the Carriage house. Nice relaxing bed adn breakfast, wonderful amenities, great reccomendations on dining, and a location that makes it easy to get to and from the downtown, but not be directly in it. From the wine and cheese waiting to greet you to the choice of breakfast, the patio in the evening and the proximity to area, you can't go wrong with the choice.

Overall, my family and I enjoyed our stay at this bed and breakfast. The owner was very nice and hospitable. She addressed our needs and/or concerns in a timely manner. The house was clean The beds were very comfortable. I would definitely recommend this bed and breakfast to others. They provided various snacks and food (i.e., fruit, peanuts, pastries) in. They were able to recommend local restaurants. I would suggest better lighting in the bedrooms. The lights appeared very dim.

The Armstrong Inn was one of the best things about our trip to Savannah. We stayed at the Jenkins House and it was home away from home with a 5 star quality that you would not find at any hotel. Monique was a truly gracious hostess making us feel right at home and was most helpful in assisting us with planning out our stay. It truly made our first family holiday of 3 really special. The Jenkins House was perfect in accommodating our young baby (Monique kindly supplied placard and blankets!). It was lovely just to relax in and most definitely wonderful to come home to after a day of sightseeing. Having breakfast dropped off the day before and being able to have breakfast at your leisure was great. We have stayed in several B&B's around the country and this definitely tops them.

Monique and the Armstrong Inn Staff are fantastic! We were thrilled with the beauty and charm of the Chatham Suite and made to feel right at home by their warmth and hospitality. We stay at B&Bs whenever we get the chance and this was definitely one of the best! Highly recommended!!

"Bed and Breakfast" is a MAJOR, I mean MAJOR understatement!! How can I now stay anywhere else while in Savannah? I cant...I won't! Beautiful, soothing, charming, delightful, refreshing, tranquil, private yet not isolating...cannot find enouch words to explain how I felt staying there. I enjoyed The Jenkins Suite for 4 days as a needed break. LOVED being able to walk to most everywhere! The historic district is beautiful and soooo peaceful. And the beds! Wonderful!! Breakfast--Wonderful presentations, exceptional quality, and so delicious! Treat yourself to stay at one of these properties and you will not regret it. I want to experience each of them now. I visited the around the middle of June 2012 with a girlfried of mine and want to return in the next month or so with my husband and another couple. Can hardly wait! Monique took good care of us and will make it special!

My wife and I were celebrating our 1 year anniversary and decided to come to Savannah. After scouring the internet for decent bed & breakfasts, we were so fortunate to find the Armstrong Inns online and booked the carriage house immediately - the rates were really great! It is so conveniently located in the historic area, that it made it really easy for us to focus on our alone time! As soon as we got there, we immediately fell in love with the place - from the beautiful gardens to the wonderful accommodations. Monique is such a great host - she truly cares for all of her guests and takes special care and attention to making your stay a memorable one. My wife and I are already planning our next stay!

A truly amazing bed & breakfast. From the first moment you meet Monique you realize that you are in for a very special experience. All your needs will be catered to by Madame Monique, (breakfast choices, reservations to local attractions, late night desserts and more), as if you were a member of her family. The Chatham Suite is in perfect harmony with Savannah's Historic District and you will feel that you have stepped back in time. We fell in love with the place and the atmosphere immediately and only left with great reluctance.

My husband and I chose Savannah for our annual escape from the craziness of our life with small children, and stayed at the Carriage house for four days. We were simply hoping for some quiet and relaxation for a few days, but the personal touches, tasty breakfast and exceptionalservice far exceeded our expectations. From taking the time to chat with us on the sidewalk in front of her lovingly maintained gardens, to lighting the candles in evening in our private courtyard, Monique proved she is a gem who truly cares about her guests in a way we have never experienced before at other B&Bs. We will highly recommend Armstrong Inns to our family and friends, and hope to make it back for another visit before too long. Come see for yourself how amazing it is!

Staying at the Jenkins House of Armstrong Inns gave us the freedom and comfort to enjoy a wonderful experience in Savannah! The house has every accommodation you need - from a fully stocked (beautiful) kitchen, to hair dryers and curling irons in the bathroom! Felt so at home during our stay that it seemed we were at a close friend or relative's house. Monique and staff were available, but never in the way. The location is perfect too! Walking distance to tons of things, including River Street, restaurants, bars, parks, and of course it's right in the historic district so the neighborhoods are amazing! Safe to walk around any time of day or night, and we did! Felt a bit like locals even. Overall a wonderful experience and I would highly recommend the Jenkins House or any of the Armstrong Inn options.

We had the most amazing night at Armstrong Inn! The Garden Suite was gorgeous. From the luxurious plush bedding to the romantic fireplace, we felt like we were a million miles away from the rest of the world. The room was so magnificent we ordered take out so that we could enjoy every second of it. My Fiance purposed to me in our own little private garden as the cherry blossoms rained down on us from the tree above. It was the most magical experience of my life! We can not wait to go back! Wow. Staying at the Armstrong Inns - Carriage House was the best decision we made when deciding to celebrate our 10-year anniversary in Savannah. We had our own private two-story, romantic house with a beautiful garden and LOTS of romantic touches, like fireplace, candles, a beautiful bathtub, radio, and a bottle of wine. We loved waking up leisurely and cooking some eggs, bacon/sausage (from the well-stocked refrigerator) or just heat up some waffles, bagels, croissants, eat some fruit, or other pastries. And you'll LOVE the bed. Though there were so many places to see in Savannah, it was hard to get out of the down-feather bed. It was SO comfortable and really felt like you were on a cloud. It's location was great and we didn't even need to rent a car. We walked almost everywhere or took a pedicab, carriage, or taxi. Monique, the owner, was magnificent. She truly has a servant's heart and made sure our every need was met and exceeded. She is truly blessed with the gift of hospitality. We loved coming home from an outing and being surprised with a different type of cake or cookies in our kitchen. The Carriage House made our trip to Savannah a unique experience and I would recommend it to anyone.

We stayed in the Tattnall House, and Armstrong Inn property. We felt like Historic District residents, in our two-bedroom cottage and private courtyard to enjoy. We had well-stocked kitchen ready for us, with complimentary wine, fruit, snacks, and breakfast items. We could easily stroll to good neighborhood restaurants and shopping. I highly recommend Armstrong Inns for your Savannah experience. E. Allen, Charlotte, NC

My wife and I enjoyed our weekende getaway tremendously. I have lived in Savannah, GA nearly fifteen years so it's safe to say I know my way around town. Our child is about to turn 1 and we needed some serious mommy and daddy time. I wanted to do the whole thing up right so I booked a dinner reservation at 1790 Restaurant and a show at the Savannah Theatre. I was unfamiliar with the Armstrong Inns and had been told to check it out by some other locals who were. I couldn't be more pleased. Never have I stayed at a place that has just transported me to such comfort and relaxation. Everything was just so perfect, from the ambiance to the decor. I am just so pleased. It was romantic, sexy, luxurious, spoiling, and exactly what we needed to make sure our love life stays in check. I absolutely loved the fruit, wine and cheese that was their at our arrival. And the late night treats were fantastic as well. The bed is five stars. The garden is five stars. And the attention the staff gives to details such as the candles and matches on the mantle above the fire place in the bedroom at night, outstanding! I cannot thank you enough for creating such a place and really just wanted to show my appreciation by writing this review for you. We may live in savannah but I assure you we will be back soon! Thx so much Monique!

...and plan a stay in this fabulous suite, in this beautiful, traveler-friendly city! I found the Garden Suite at Armstrong Inns on this site, fell for it online and had all my expectations exceeded once we arrived. It's on a beautiful square, a perfect walk to the main 'tourist' section of town but far enough away to give you a more 'local' experience. Wonderful dining in walking distance, but Monique appoints the kitchen so well, and has made the Garden Suite so warm, cozy, and romantic, you may not want to leave.

We enjoyed a lovely, relaxing stay at The Armstrong Inns. We chose to stay in The Chatham Suite and were very impressed with our accommodations. "Suite" is really not the word to describe it, for it is truly like having your own private townhouse right on one of the lovely picturesque squares of Savannah. Downstairs we had a lovely living room with fireplace, a small dining area, also with a fireplace, and a charming, very well equipped little kitchen with a door leading out to a private deck. The kitchen refrigerator was stocked with all the fixings for breakfast including coffee, juices, croissants, bagels and pastries, eggs, sausages, bacon, cheeses and jams. We loved being able to rise and fix our own breakfast at our leisure and eat out on our little deck listening to the birds, or on one cold morning, in front of the fire. The owners also provided a bottle of wine, sherry, crackers and nuts for our enjoyment. There is a full set of nice china and glasses to serve your meals on…another homey touch. Upstairs is equally charming with a beautiful canopy feather top bed. There is a nicely renovated modern bathroom with brick walls and a gorgeous copper sink. The shower had multiple heads, and there was also a standard tub. The upstairs also had a Juliet balcony that you could walk out on. The entire suite is decorated with exquisite taste, with antiques, lovely paintings done by the owner and gorgeous restored wood floors with antique rugs throughout. The website photos are very accurate descriptions although, as is usually NOT the case, we actually found the spaces to be larger than they appear online! ' The location was ideal for us. Quiet, but still close to everything. My husband and I walked everywhere, and nothing was more than a 15-20 minute walk. We have stayed in several of the fine Inns and B&B's in Savannah, and would never stay anywhere else but Armstrong Inns in the future! Merci Monique, Kirstin and William!

As a traveler I never seem to get the personal attention I want. I seem pigeonholed into someone else travel experience, sold a prepackaged whirlwind, or completely ignored. It is refreshing when you have an experience that breaks with a norm and where you come home with a pleasant fullness and relaxation. I would like to thank the Armstrong Inns for one of the most memorable and enjoyable trips I have had in years. The suite that we rented for the weekend was nestled in a quiet corner of the historic district, close enough to the action to get there in a short walk but far enough away to let us retire for quiet romantic evenings. We had selected the Chatham suite that overlooked the Chatham square. The suite had a feeling of sumptuous romance. The suite was sprinkled with antiques and impeccably designed a colonial/french country design. The master suite had a lavish bath and shower combination with fully modern amenities. The place felt warm and inviting, this might have been helped by the three gas remote operated fireplaces. The Inn staff would contact us in the late morning to check and see if we needed any refreshments for our suite and to arrange a time that was convenient to us for cleaning. The staff also assisted us with any bookings or reservations we would like to make. On the second night of our stay they made a perfect evening for us, a carriage ride right to our dinner and finally a walking ghost tour through old Savannah. I simply told the inn’s staff members what we wanted to do and they took care of all the details. I felt like a valued patron and pampered from beginning to end. In conclusion I will sum up saying that when I return I will be joining Madam Monique and her staff to enjoy the southern luxury that they lavish on their guests. I encouraging anyone to take advantage of the little slice of heaven we found in Savannah. If you plan to travel to Savannah you should look up the Armstrong Inn and reward yourself with the experience.

Dear Monique and William, We stayed at the Armstrong Carriage House for our 10th Anniversary. We really enjoyed the Inn. It’s so cozy & the treats & breakfast are great. We went to the Old Pink House & I mean it is great – had Pork Tenderloin & Grouper – EXCELLENT. We also went to the Fort and on Tybee to a little café Sunday. It was also a good choice. Good homemade burgers. We had a wonderful stay. Thank you for everything. We will return.

What a lovely place to stay in Savannah! The Jenkins house was the perfect respite for a girls' weekend getaway. It was cozy, had everything we needed and - best of all - allowed us to enjoy a Savannah B&B and have a place of our own. The row home was fully equipped with every convenience needed. The plush down beds were dreamy, the antique character of the row home was beautiful and the cozy fireplaces and comfy living room created the perfect atmosphere to relax. We will definitely be back!

Could not believe my luck when I got there and was blown away by The Carriage House. I had stepped into very upscale European accommodations executed in very good taste; yet the price was so reasonable. Her husband's (William Armstrong) oil paintings hang everywhere. Beautiful portraits and landscapes abound, offering samplings of the hauntingly beautiful and historic area. 2 floors, 2 fireplaces, Victorian bathroom, robes, cable TV, washer/dryer, central heating, the 4 poster bed had double down-feather toppers finished in the finest linens, all under a soaring A-frame-beamed ceiling. And I could go on about the full kitchen, the enchanting courtyard with echoing bubbling fountain only a few steps through double french doors. Having been born in Savannah and moving away at a young age, I have a very strong pull to the city and make a habit of stopping there when driving the eastern corridor. Monique, a primary owner, greeted me with a very cheerful "bonjour" and lead me to the carriage house w/ fire place lit and offerings of cheese, crackers, fruit and wine. I would have to call the continental breakfast as "deluxe". Croissant, choices of artisan breads, coffee, real butter, cream cheese, crumb cake, juices, dry cereals, milk, fresh fruit, on and on. Slices of a decadent dense flowerless cake awaited me that night with sherry in a crystal suite of decanter and cordial glasses. Merci Monique et Guillaume!!!! Eugenio M. Valle East Hampton, NY

My wife, daughter and I had a wonderful stay at the Tatnall House, a beautiful home in a gorgeous part of town. The location was ideal for walking about Savannah, the accomodations were spacious and neat and the proprietor couldn't have done enough for us. We arrived late on New Year's Eve without diner reservatios and she made at least a half dozen calls to local restaurants until she found one that could take us. All-in-all, an incredible value!

Stayed in the Jenkins House end December, early January 2012. A family of four, we stayed four nights while exploring Savannah. Very much enjoyed having our own space after being in hotel rooms. Breakfast was customised everyday to what we enjoyed eating, with lovely cakes/fruit left for daytime snacking. Loved relaxing in front of the two fireplaces after a big day out. Had a hire car, off street parking great, but could walk everywhere if we wanted to. Would definitely stay there again as we felt at home for the time we were there. Much effort was made to ensure we were comfortable. The Armstrong Family Australia

The B&B experience at Armstrong Inns is quite unique. We had an entire house to ourselves so we were able to come and go without worrying other guests by the lateness of the hour or talking to loudly. Breakfast was provided in the kitchen and consisted of items that we had requested at check in. Located within walking distance of historic Savannah this property is a must stay when in the area.

With so many wonderful places to stay in Savannah, Georgia, it was a challenge to figure out where to stay when trying to select something special for a friend's retrurn after working in Iraq for the last year. The Chatham Suite at the Armstrong Inn proved to be a perfect place for celebrating her return given that what she needed was a comfortable place to relax and "arrive" back to the States. The suite is absolutely beautiful, quiet and the attention that Mrs. Monique Armstrong provides to every detail is amazing. The suite is located in a beautiful part of the city where leisurely walks among the cities Squares is conventient and refreshing. Starting the day off with the wonderful pastries Monique provides fresh daily and then strolling down to Forsyth Park or one of the other beautiful squares is so very peaceful and refreshing. On the subject of Monique, she is amazing in her desire to make sure that everything is just right. We talked every day and she offered to help set up carriage rides and to offer recommendations for shows and places to eat. In truth, mentioning Monique's name at the various restaurants is a good thing as she is well known in the community. On a last note, William Armstrong is a local painter and the suite was filled with his art. I also happened to see his paintings in a downtown shop and I must say that his work is a beautiful addition to the suite and would be well worth consideration if you want a quality painting to go home with.

We found the Armstrong Inn by google search and after seeing pictures and visiting with Monique on the phone, decieded to book our honeymoon in the Garden Suite. Upon arrival we got a real treat in finding the wonderful accomodations. We enjoyed being within walking distance of everywhere we wanted to go, but did end up taking the pedi-cabs back and forth to save our feet after a long days of window shopping, house tours, and city tours. There are a lot of things to do and see in Savannah, good shoes are a must! We also enjoyed visiting with Monique about must-see Savannah attractions and she helped us make reservations. We also took a romantic carriage ride which was amazing! More about the Inn, the pastries they leave you for breakfast/snacks are delicious. We stayed over Thanksgiving and got the best pumpkin pie I had ever had. The bed is so very comfortable you won't want to get out, but must because there are so many things to do and see in Savannah. The shower has such great pressure that is makes for a wonderful back massage. The Garden Suite is on Chatham Square so we enjoyed reading in the park outside our suite. In addition, we enjoyed candle lit nights sitting in our own garden and enjoying the beautiful Savannah weather. We used the fireplace often at night and enjoyed just sitting and watching the flames as we talked or read. I also watched the copy of "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil" that was in the room and realized the Mercy House was in the next square over from where we were staying! The Armstrong Inn was a great choice for our honeymoon and will be fun to return for future vacations!

My family and I stayed two nights at Chatham Suites on the Rock and Roll Savannah Marathon weekend on 11/05/11. Our suites were very nice.. we rented the upstairs and downstairs suites together. The manager (Monique) told the best parking places near the suites, and showed us all the amenities of the suites when we arrived. The starting line and finish line for the race are within walking distance, along with several nice restaurants and day shopping stores. I'll stay there again if I go back for next year's marathon, or just for a short visit away from race time.

We've stayed in several B&B's in the last 10 years but Armstrong Inns provided us with the best experience we've had. Monique and her staff treated us like we were VIP's. The Armstrongs help make our stay in Savannah unforgetable. We will definately be going back and will encourage all our friends planning a trip to Savannah to stay at Armstong Inns. Mary D. I have to say that this is by far one of the best B&B’s that my husband and I have stayed in, ever! We took a 3 night trip to Savannah for our anniversary and booked the Carriage House. That was the best travel decision! Monique and her staff not only prepared an excellent place to stay, they thought of everything! There were many choices of bread, cereal, fruit, juices, drinks and accompaniments for breakfast each morning. Like something more than the others? No problem. Monique was thoughtful enough to ask what we liked and was sure to stock plenty of what we preferred. It was awesome how it was all in the room too, so that we didn’t have to get up and go to breakfast at a set time. And yes, like the other reviews, be prepared to have a hard time getting out of the bed. I was skeptical at first, that a bed would be that comfy, but it is. If you’re allergic to feathers, though (like me), bring a pillow and extra blanket (I did, and it was not a problem). The weather wasn’t optimum this trip, but we totally didn’t mind, because it was so nice to be able to relax in such a nice environment. We took long walks when the weather permitted, and relaxed the rest of the time, which was just what we needed (and a rarity, because I have a hard time not being on-the-go, so that is a testament to how nice the place was). The room was full of amenities: a tv and dvd player plus cable both upstairs and down; a nice little sitting area, plenty of space upstairs; candles for ambience, should you choose; extra towels that were super nice (I’d really like a set for my house); snacks; sherry (the best! Warms you up nicely after a cold, wet day); complete kitchen; the list goes on. We were even able to bring our miniature poodle, who had an absolute blast and was treated like royalty. The best way to sum it up is to say that after our last night, we didn’t want to leave and will definitely be back sooner rather than later. Merci beaucoup, Monique!

My wife and I spent our 29th wedding anniversary at the Jenkin's House. It was our first trip to Savannah and the whole experience was perfect. The Jenkin's House is only a few blocks and a short walk from what we thought was Savannah's most impressive and our favorite park - Forsyth Park. Monique Armstrong and staff were extremely warm and attentive. They went above and beyond what you would normally expect. A bottle of wine and cheese was on the counter to welcome us, along with fresh pastries and fruit to start every morning. Monique also arranged a beautiful boquet of fresh flowers in my wife's favorite color to celebrate our anniversary. After we checked-out, they contacted us to let us know we had left behind a shirt, which they kindly mailed back. If you're thinking about a trip to historic Savannah, we highly recommend the Armstrong Inns.

We stayed at the Jenkins house. This trip was with my mother, sister and daughter. We had a great time. Plenty of room for each of us. It was great that we could just stay in the house together or go out. Breakfast was great with the fresh pastries and fruit. We didn't have to be in a hurry in the mornings to get dressed for breakfast. We spent the day out walking and seeing everything in Savannah. When we came in in the afternoons, the house was clean and had fresh desserts delivered. The red velvet cake was very good. All of the accomdations were great. The feather bed was awesome! The robes were very nice. Plenty of bath towels and accessories. Would definetly stay here again.

Our trip was with some close friends to celebrate their anniversary so we wanted something romantic but private and yet very close to everything that is Savannah and Monique did not disappoint! The historical Jenkins house was our own private retreat. The beds are soft and plush and difficult to leave in the morning. The pastries and fruit were a welcome comfort every morning and then the wine, cheese and dessert with classical music in the background set the mood in the evenings. This is a charming little gem of the Armstrong Inns and Monique and staff with their special details make it a must if you have small group!

Wow! where do I start..Monique and the staff were absolutely fantastic. Our stay at Chatham Square was quiet, close to all activities, and beautiful. The beds are amazing and as advertised. Anything you could want, the staff made sure we were happy and completely satisfied. The home was spotless, and very well furnished. Oh did I mention the bed! Thank you Armstrong's for one of the best vacations we have taken together in 35 years of marriage. Look forward to returning to Savannah again, and staying with you. Stuart and Karen G.

Armstrong Inn set the tone for our entire Savannah experience. We stayed in the Jenkins House, a two bedroom historic retreat that ended up being our haven at the end of long exhausting days exploring Savannah's squares. Daily treats of sweets, fresh fruit, berries and pastries awaited our return. In the morning...at our convenience...we could rise to a private kitchen stocked with coffee, fruit, breads and muffins. The beds are plush and the amenities are bountiful. We live about 5 hours away in Florida and visted with a couple of friends who had never stayed in a B&B. They are properly hooked now! Thank you, Monique. We will be back!

Just a note to say Monique and staff at the Armstrong Inns where absolutely wonderful from suggestions on things to do in Savannah and offers to grocery shop or drive you to points of interest to privacy and cleanliness of the room. The stay in the carriage house was absolutely amazing just like being in your own home. Monique made advance arrangements for us to take a carriage ride with Madison Tours Dee our drive was full of valuable Savannah history was comfortable and enjoyable she picked us up at the door and returned us to the door after a 60 minutes tour of the historic district. The riverboat dinner cruise is well worth the money and a short cab ride from the inn cab fare to and from the in is less than 20 dollars with gratuity. If you do not feel like going out some restaurants deliver right to the door. The carriage house again felt so much like home it made our 7day stay in Savannah feel like we live in Savannah (parking is free in front of the carriage house) The Armstrong inns is a wonderful place to stay and if i get the opportunity to travel to Savannah again in my life Moniques Armstrong inns is where i will lay my head and call home.

My husband and I enjoy our stays at Armstrong Inns beyond measure. We eagerly anticipate our returns to the city and have found here indeed our "home away from home". Madame Armstrong has created a romantic oasis of extraordinary charm, blissful romance and cozy comfort, and detailed consideration to every gracious amenity. The surroundings and accomodations are outstanding- beautiful and captivating. It is private and peaceful and all of our needs were unsurpassingly met- luxurious bedding, waking to a plentiful and lovely breakfast, graciously supplied. An exquisitely romantic experience- a true treasure of Savannah.

After staying in other bed and breakfasts in Savannah throughout the years, we were hesitant to stay anywhere else. That was, until I saw the pictures for The Armstrong Inns and then I booked immediately. The experience of staying there far exceeded what we had hoped or expected and we are still whirling from our stay there. We had the pampering of a traditional bed and breakfast with the privacy and comforts of our own home. The wine and cheese, fruit, pastries, and juices were excellent and ready when we wanted them. We have now forsaken other places and will only stay here! It was that great! And the quality of the bed (feather down mattress, luxury lines, etc) will eliminate the threat of the dreaded "bad night's sleep" away from home!

As each day presents you with meetings and deadlines, traffic and bills; consuming you with plenty of unhealthy stress; we all need a break from reality every now and then. Armstrong Inns is the perfect escape! The moment we entered the quaint little Carriage House we immediately felt relief. From the quiet and relaxing sound of flowing water just outside our door to the plush courtyard full of nature, we new we had chosen the right place. There is even a friendly kitty out there to greet you. Inside, the kitchen and living area are warm and inviting; the refrigerator/counters thoughtfully stocked with all kinds of goodies (even a bottle of wine). Every morning after preparing a delicious breakfast (complete with fresh fruit and coffee) we went and relaxed outdoors. But the BEST part of this romantic hideaway is the bedroom upstairs, with a beautiful view of the sunrise every morning just outside our window and the fantastic artwork on the walls; we spent most of our time in this room. One nap in the soft-overstuffed bed is all we needed to quickly melt our troubles away. We could not get up the second day and enjoyed watching movies from our flat screen tv complete with muffins and croissants in bed of course. It was very romantic! I can only say that you will not be disappointed if you choose Armstrong Inns for your next vacation. Monique is the kindest and most generous host that I have ever encountered. And there are plenty of things to do in Savannah while there. We dined at very nice restaurants and enjoyed a tour of the city by carriage ride. All-in-all our weekend was a fabulous success! We are now both ready to face the months ahead fully refreshed. Can't wait until next time! Sincerely, Kathy Bouchard CBS Outdoor

This Bed and Breakfast was absolutely amazing allowing my girlfriend and I to have a very peaceful and romantic weekend. Monique at the Armstrong Inn was very generous and such a GREAT host!!! We were set up at the Tattnall House, which is absolutely beautiful and more than what we were expecting. The daily cleanliness and amenities made for a carefree and relaxing stay. The Inn is located perfectly in the Historical District, which caused for an easy walk all: restaurants, shopping, and local bars.

After much research on different B&B's in historic Savannah, I got as far as nearly clicking on "submit request" on a different property before I noticed a small picture in a separate window for Armstrong Inn. I decided to take a look and was very impressed, so much so that I immediately booked the Carriage House for a weekend excursion with my fiancee to celebrate her birthday. This place DELIVERS! I couldn't have asked for a better destination. Madame and the staff were very friendly and met our every need. We were given a tour of the house, which was outfitted quite nicely and very clean. It was evident that the staff pays attention to most every detail. Madame Monique, who was very well versed in the area, gave us excellent suggestions on places to visit and dine while visiting, and conversing with her was a treat in its own. The breakfast consisted of a variety of bagels, pastries, and as a special treat (for a man like myelf), the staff provided hickory smoked bacon and eggs to cook the way I wanted, not bad. There wasn't too much food, and not too little; enough to fuel us so that we could go out and taste the rest of Savannah. The very BEST part was the privacy we were afforded. We were able to get up out of bed when we wanted to (which was a BIG draw considering how comfortable the bed was), we weren't "told" when the staff was coming to refresh the house, instead we were asked when would be a good time. If I absolutely HAD to pick a con, it would be the bathtub/shower. its a little small, but then again, I'm a little big, and this is nitpicking. I would definitely recommend trying out Armstrong Inns if you decide to visit Savannah, they are an excellent representation of the city's storied hospitality. I would be thrilled to visit again!

Two nights and one long enjoyable day. The carriage house was a home away from home. Setting was beautiful, pace low key, and hosts gracious. My wife and I couldn't have asked for a better experience.

We selected the Armstrong Inns as we were looking for someplace unique and special to celebrate our anniversary in Savannah and we could not have found a more perfect setting. We stayed in the Chatham Suite and it was just like having our own private little row house for the weekend! The decor in the Chatham Suite was like something out of a magazine. Beautiful! And I can't say enough about the hospitality of Monique and her staff. They could not have been more accommodating. It was an absolutely perfect weekend. I would highly recommend the Chatham Suite to anyone planning a special trip to Savannah!

This is the second time my wife, children and I have stayed at the Armstrong Inns. The first time we stayed in the Garden and Chatham suites, which take up all three floors of a town home on Chatham Square. This time, we stayed at the Jenkins Suite, a two-story town home near Broad Street. The best way I can think to describe both is that it feel like I'm staying in the country home of my favorite cousin. The experience is completely comfortable and soothing, from the pastries and fruit owner Monique Armstrong lays out to the worn wood floors and original fireplaces. Both properties are completely restored and decorated with an expert's eye. The beds, which are one of Armstrong's hallmarks, are as plush as anything you've slept in. And to top it off, my children love when Miss Monique says, "mademoiselle."

My husband treated me to a trip to Savannah for my birthday. We chose the Armstrong Inn after reading the wonderful reviews online and our stay definitely lived up to everyone's positive comments. From the minute we met Monique to our perfectly appointed suite, our stay was perfect. The Garden Suite has been well cared for and is so tastefully decorated. When we first arrived we had a wonderful bottle of Shiraz waiting for us, as well as great snacks and tasty deserts. Each day our breakfast items, including delicious breads and fresh fruit were replenished. The bed and linens were wonderful and the suite was kept so clean by the amazing staff. We could not have asked for a better place to stay and we will most certainly be back to visit both Savannah and the Armstrong Inn.

Our stay at the Armstrong Inn’s Chatham Square Bed and Breakfast Suite could not have been more relaxing or more enjoyable. Everyone we dealt with, from the owner through housekeeping, were friendly and helpful. The residence itself was beautiful, with gorgeous views of the Square and wonderful antiques throughout. The bed was as comfortable as advertised, and the pastries and beverages provided daily were all delicious. We look forward to our next visit, and would not stay anywhere else when visiting Savannah. This was truly one of our favorite B&B experiences ever.

We enjoyed our weekend stay at the Armstrong Inn. The Garden Suite was very cozy, charming, and private. The bed was the most comfortable bed I had ever slept in. The staff took care of all the details. Staying at the Armstrong Inn made our trip to Savannah memorable.

We stayed four nights at the beautiful Chatham suite with our two sons. We felt completely at home. The welcome was very warm. We loved the breakfast. There was something for everyone's liking. Our host, Monique Armstrong, has an eye for details that makes the experience at the Armstrong inns unforgettable.

I spent a few minutes trying to come up with the perfect Title for this review. So many positive words filled my head! I ended up going with "Absolute Perfection", Because it trully was! From the moment we opened the doors to the Tattnall house I was floored! This place was so adorable and beautifully decorated. There was a stocked fridge waiting for us with homemade muffins, bread and spreads boxes of cereal, milk and orange juice just to begin naming it all . We even had bowls of nuts and crackers and chocolates on the kitchen table with a bottle of a delicious Shiraz! Each room was a treasure to explore. Nothing about this place was boring. The dining room was gorgeous and had a fireplace ( 1 of at least 4). The living room had a tv and bookshelves full of novels and books about area attractions. The 2 bedrooms were located on the 2nd floor and they each had feather beds that were the fluffiest I have ever seen! Our one friend kept saying " This is the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in"...We all agreed! The staff is more then helpful and knowledgable about the gorgeous town of Savannah! I have stayed in a lot of hotels and B & B's in my life and I have NO problems saying that this is one of the best experiences I have ever had! I have never had a place trully feel so much like I was in my own home, not someone elses! I can not recommend Armstrong Inns more. Loved it, Loved it, Loved it!

We recently stayed in the Carriage House of the Armstrong Inn located at East Broad and East Taylor. I can't say enough about the Carriage House! It's beautiful, private, and very romantic! It also has its own beautiful little walled in garden, where we ate breakfast in the mornings. We had an array of breakfast foods and juices provided daily, along with a welcoming bottle of wine with cheese and crackers. We were able to walk from the Carriage House to all of the historic district, including the riverfront. Monique and her staff were wonderful as well! Very friendly and attentive to our needs and very knowledgeable about things to do, places to see and places to eat. Monique was also very accommodating regarding our arrival and departure times. I will definitely be recommending the Carriage House to everyone!!! It was a wonderful vacation for us and a beautiful and perfect place to stay!!!

We had a great stay in the Garden room of Armstrong Inns. It was like having our own flat in Savannah. Walking distance to everything in town but in a beautiful neighborhood (not in a tourist trap area). Monique was very helpful with suggestions for restaurants and maps. The room was stocked with anything you may need (kitchen items, toaster oven, breakfast foods, disposable razors, iron, CDs, robes, wine, candles, AC, etc).

What an amazingly beautiful place to make your home away from home. Southern hospitality at it's best, from the warm greeting from Kirsten with wine and cheese awaiting us,to the delicious pastries, fruits and desserts that were fresh daily. The Inn itself is decorated to please with original art from William Armstrong and antiques galore. Also you have a two story suite with private bathroom and balconies. We can't wait to go back.

My husband and I stayed at the cottage almost a year ago and we loved it. It really made just a weekend feel like so much longer. The place was BEAUTIFUL and we felt like we stepped back in time with still the comforts of modern day. The service was great..they always had our kitchen stacked with yummy food and were very nice and welcoming. I would definitely recommend this place if you want a stay to remember! :) The only negative is that it is a little walk to river street ect. but great reason to explore when walking home.
