We will be back. Absolutely the most peaceful, wonderful bed and breakfast that I have stayed at.

Quiet 6,000 acre nature retreat with spacious, well appointed, claen rooms in a recently remodeled vintage barn. Fantastic breakfasts prepared by the incredibly talented owner and her awesome staff. Opportunities for kayaking, wildlife viewing and photography, and hiking. An amazing place filled with history dating back to 1755. We have stayed at many bed and breakfasts - this is the best! A perfect setting for a very relaxing getaway.

Stayed on the way to Florida. Wish we could have stayed two nights. Beautiful area, great breakfast, incredibly peaceful.

We stayed there for two nights on the way to Tybee Island. The grounds were beautiful and the room was very comfortable and cozy. The owners were away but our hosts were just great. Breakfast was waiting on the table each morning and it was delicious. We also found the BEST seafood restaurant "Sunbury Crab Co". We ate there both nights and it turned out to be the best seafood restaurant of our entire vacation.

We loved our stay at Dunham Farms!! The setting is gorgeous, renovation on the barn is amazing; The rooms are CLEAN, cozy and quiet. Quick drive to Savannah for an afternoon of shopping and dining turned out to be the perfect distance. We did have a problem with the upstairs AC not cooling well (it was the first really hot weekend of the year), but a quick call to the staff had us moved into another room downstairs in just minutes. We will definitely be staying here again for our future kid-free getways from Jax.

This was my second stay at Dunham Farms, it doesn't get better than this folks. The grounds alone are worth the stay. The owners are gracious hosts, the beds are comfortable, the rooms are spotless, and the food was delicious. Ready to go back!!

This is the second review I've done regarding our stay at Dunham Farms. Never have we ever enjoyed a more serene relaxing stay at a Bed and Breakfast. We thoroughly enjoyed walking the grounds. So beautiful as the azaleas were in full bloom and the living oaks also added to the serenity and beauty we felt during our stay. Also loved the History provided by our hostesses Laura and Meredith who couldn't have been more attentive and charming. Thank you again. Mr. and Mrs. Peter Naiukow Merritt, MI.

My wife and I visited for our 4th time Feb 12-15 this year. We love to exprience new places but we just can't seem to pull ourselves away from this place! Meredith and Laura are incredible hosts who make you feel so at home. The history, nature, picturesque settings, accomodations and breakfasts are all incredible. I would highly recommend booking their dinners as well...their home cooked meals are absolutley incredible. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who wants a quiet, relaxing, laid back, beautiful getaway.

My wife and I booked a stay with the Dunham Farms Bed and Breakfast because it was only a few hours away and we wanted to stay at a place that was quiet and close to nature. We were not disappointed. The entrance from the highway is an unimposing unpaved road draped with beautiful mature trees filled with Spanish moss. My wife and I enjoyed walking the property, admiring the nature of the tidal marshes and taking photographs. We saw a raccoon, along with various woodpeckers, kingfishers, warblers, egrets, herons, and others. The room was comfortable and decorated with antique furnishings reminding you of the history of the property. The breakfast was delicious and proprietors, Laura and Meredith, were delightful as they enthusiastically shared stories about the land and their family. We plan to return to Dunham Farms because the real attraction is not the room itself, but the natural, unspoiled beauty of the land, the history of the property, and the fascinating history of Laura and Meredith's family, which traces its roots back to a land grant from the King of England in 1755. This property will appeal to anyone interested in nature, quiet locales for weddings or family gatherings, birding, kayaking, hiking, seafood, archaeology, colonial American history, African America history, or the history of early Spanish colonization of North America. I rarely write reviews, but our stay was so enjoyable, I had to share with others who may be considering a visit to the area. Laura and Meredith, we sincerely enjoyed our stay.

Fantastic location on the Georgia marsh and waterways! Dunham Farm is a rustic but very elegant charmer! Meredith met us with a warm welcome and platter of hot and cold snacks. We stayed in the converted barn, our room was very comfortable and was decorated with lovely antique furniture. Can't say enough about the location, we enjoyed complimentary coffee and teas in the guest sitting area, before strolling along the waterway and checking out the indoor swimming pool. Meredith directed us to the Crab Company restaurant nearby for dinner, most enjoyable. We also enjoyed chatting with our hostess who is very knowledgeable about the history of the area! Lots to do in the way of outdoor activities such as kayaking, hiking and bird watching, as well as a few historic sites nearby. Having only one night to enjoy Dunham Farms this trip we opted to relax by the water and watch for wildlife! After a gourmet breakfast we sadly said our goodbyes, but we will be back very soon now that we have found our new favorite Bed and Breakfast Inn!!!

Found this wonderful B&B while looking for places to stay in Savannah. It is hidden about 20 minutes away from Savannah surrounded by beautiful marshlands. You can hike the trails or visit the historical sites in the area. Our room was comfortable and super clean. Our hostesses a mom and daughter team were really knowledgeable and made our stay very enjoyable. The breakfast was great and if you make reservation 48 hours in advance they will serve dinner. I highly recommended Dunham Farms.

We had such a wonderful stay here to celebrate the end of the school year. All of the food was DELICIOUS (including the cookies!!). We had a great time exploring the vast property, as well as taking a guided kayak tour with Meredith. We will DEFINITELY be back!!!!

Superb 3-night stay. The meals were ultra delicious and very creative. Certainly exceeded our expectations from having stayed at other B&Bs. The large property made it nice to ramble around and enjoy the uniqueness of the area. The room was private and quiet; a definite plus! Would definitely stay here again.

I recently got married out at Dunham Farms, and I must say that it was absolutely perfect! Meredith and Laura were so helpful, and not only had a business interest in my wedding, but also had their hearts into it! I have received so many compliments from so many of the guest and my entire bridal party, which all stayed at the Bed and Breakfast! I would recommend Dunham Farms to anyone for their special event, and I can't wait to go back!

About 40 minutes from downtown Savannah this place is a real gem for peace and quiet! We couldn't have asked for a nicer place and outstanding innkeepers! Hiking trails and kayaking, great breakfast, cozy reading room in the loft, comfortable and clean rooms. This was originally a barn and since we're horse owners, we felt right at home! If you're into peace and quiet, but wish to enjoy the Savannah city highlights for part of the time, this is the place to stay. We'll be back!

My sister and my roommate from college had a lovely stay at the farm. We took a walkabout of some of the vast property and just swooned at the magnificent trees and wetlands. Breakfast was lovely and held us to dinner. Laura and Meredith kept us entertained with their southern story-telling manner and charm. It's not far to Savannah which held our attention quite beautifully. Thank you very much for the opportunity and hospitality.

Our brief stay at Dunham Farms was delightful and the genuine hospitality extended to us was most appreciated! The warm and relaxing conversation helped to melt away the stress from the crowded holiday traffic we had just experienced. The most comfortable bed and the delicious breakfast were a delight! Because it had been raining, we were only able to explore the amazing property briefly before continuing our journey. However, we saw enough to know that we MUST return someday!

Spectacular natural environment, interesting & informative co-owners (Meredith & Laura) and breakfasts were out of this world delicious! Our weekend stay at Dunham farm exceeded all expectations. Laura and Meredith go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable and are the most gracious hostesses. It's a very cozy and relaxed atmosphere, a perfect place to unwind from it all. We had many of our meals on site and the food was fantastic. We highly recommend this b&b.

What else a kayaker could wish for? Bring your own kayaks, or rent from Farm - and paddle in the beautiful salt water marshland! You can fish or hike - right on the property, too.

I could not have asked for any better of an experience than my husband and I had at Dunham Farms. The property is absolutely gorgeous! Breath taking! We were made to feel at home by our wonderful hostess Laura. Laura was so welcoming and friendly. She took so much of her time to talk to us, answer our questions and give us the history of her beautiful property. We thoroughly enjoyed her company. The afternoon hors d'oeuvres and morning breakfasts were delicious. The room we selected was quite large and very comfortable. I felt like we got a great value for our money.... delicious food, a comfortable room, a history guide and more. We are already planning our next trip back.

We loved our stay with Laura and Meredith. They are both so passionate about conservation, history and wildlife. The grounds are beautiful. Meredith took us kayaking in the salt marsh, which was a highlight. We will definitely stay there again.

We only had one night at Dunham Farms, but I promise you it won't be our last! The grounds and accommodations were beyond our expectations - majestic moss covered oaks, beautifully restored buildings tastefully decorated with an eye toward the rich history of the property. Our host, Meredith was charming and very informative about the history and restoration of the area. We cannot recommend this B&B enough!

More than enough activities and environment to keep you busy yet serene. Learn local history, eat great food, kick back and watch the everchanging wetlands. Beautiful grounds and what a view of the waterway!

Live oaks. Kayaking, marshes, coastline, birding, biking, hiking. And then there's Savannah ga 30 miles away in one direction and St Simons& Sea island an hour or so south. The owners: plantation is still owned by original family who received the charter in 1775. Daughter is an historian/archivist with T Jefferson lineage and mother is an equestrian and artistic art critic who built the jumps for Atlanta 1996 Olympics. So you can see there's lots to do and talk about!

The planned focus of this trip was to see Savannah. The real highlight for us was the time we spent at Dunham Farms. The propery is absolutely gorgeous. We stayed at the Palmyra Barn in the Hideaway Suite. The room is huge and very well furnished. It's hard to believe you are in what used to be a hay loft. We slept better there than at home and it was soo peaceful. Each day started with a multicourse breakfast prepared by the owners and wonderful chefs, Laura and Meredith. The walking trails have all kinds of wildlife to observe as well as beautiful flora. This is a definite getaway to return to with plans to stay longer next time. The hosts really do make you feel like more than just guests.

Spent most of the evening in Savannah celebrating St. Patrick's Day, so we unfortunately did not get to enjoy Dunham Farms as much as we might have. But I can say that the staff bent over backwards to accomodate our late arrival time, offered us a late breakfast after all the other diners were finished, and when we declined, sent us on our way with a chunk of delicious Irish soda bread. We did get to spend some time that morning touring the grounds, and I can say without reservation that the location is beautiful. Watching the sun rise over the salt marsh was a memorable sight indeed. Recommended! Especially if you're visiting Savannah but would prefer to stay out of the fray in regards to accomodations.

Dunham Farms is the perfect b'n'b in the Savannah Area. My girlfriend and I are huge star gazers and hikers. The trails at the Farms were very well kept, and sprawled out for miles. It is very close to the city and all the local islands. We were in love with the room. We were in love with the staff. They were all super nice and the breakfast... Worth it!!! Did not expect it to be that Amazing. THANK YOU!!
