Girls trip stay at Barons Creekside was wonderful!! The farmhouse was spacious and we felt like we were the only guests on the property. Loved the hot tub and onsite restaurant...we ended up there two out of 3 nights!! Thanks for a wonderful stay!
My sisters and I had a wonderful weekend in Fredericksburg! Our Cottage was so cute, clean and perfect for the location (1 blk. off Main St). The cookies were very good and they provided some gluten free cookies for one of my sister's who has celiac disease. The owners were helpful and kind! Will book there again!!!
We just came back spending an extended weekend at this wonderful place full of country side Swiss spirit. We stayed at Morgarten log cabin which is a great mix of rustic and historical artifacts with modern convenience. This place is exemplary clean and comfortable. We got a warm and friendly welcome from the owners - Daniel and Debra. There is a book written by Daniel telling a touchy story of finding the place and building this small Swiss village. It is a perfect place to relax, learn some Swiss history and enjoy the time. Debra and Daniel: Thank you very much again!
The property was exceptional, extremely peaceful and quiet. We only saw four other people during our three night stay. The cabin is nice and homey. I was disappointed with the shower. It did not drain properly and the bottom of the tub filled up after a minute of running water. The coffee pot took 45 minutes to brew. Overall great place but a little work needs to be done for cleanliness and efficiency
We stayed here for our honeymoon and it was luxurious! The staff is incredibly attentive, the grounds are immaculate and our cabin was very private. Each morning a breakfast basket was delivered to our room with a scrumptious meal. The room is very tastefully decorate (not like a lot of "Grandma's Attic" types of B&Bs) and the soaking tub was a plus. When we felt like walking to Main St, it was only 5 minutes away.
I can't say enough good things about Das Garten Haus in Fredericksburg. Lynn and Kevin are wonderful people who provided an extremely clean room and AMAZING food for breakfast. Lynn gave so many recommendations for places to eat and see, several of which we did and would recommend. If you want a true B&B experience you HAVE to stay here on your visit. We will be back for sure!
We enjoyed 2 very relaxing nights at Baron's Log Cabin at Barons Creekside. The cabin was well furnished and clean. It included all of the essentials that we needed while staying there. The internet service was great and the channels provided by the satellite service were good. It was quiet and peaceful at Barons! We did not have a dining experience there since we were there when that part was closed.
We had a great weekend getaway at Kaden's Cottage. We had a private room at the back of the bed & breakfast that was very cozy! We loved the location! We scheduled a massage (which was wonderful) and the tranquility cottage was just outside our door! The breakfast was AMAZING! Overall a great stay! Highly recommend!
This is no mere cottage. It's a thoroughly modern home with all the features of a luxurious city home, and it's beautifully decorated and maintained. From the moment you enter the property and follow the winding driveway to the house, you appreciate the seclusion Bella Vista offers. The front yard is adorable and welcoming. As we entered the cottage itself, we were surprised at how spacious and contemporary it is. The kitchen has all the modern conveniences, and the appliances and cabinets are all top-of-the-line. Kevin and JoAnna put out a bottle of wine and chocolates, and breakfast was waiting in the fridge. There's also a home-theater setup, and wi-fi. The kitchen and living areas set the bar high, and the bedrooms and bathrooms did not disappoint. Again, modern, stylish, and above all, comfortable. The master bed and bath are out of this world -- better than what you see in 99% of the houses out there. And of course, there's the property itself. It offers a beautiful view of gently rolling hills. And because it's on 55 acres, it's quiet -- really quiet. At night, you can see the Milky Way, so bring your telescope if you have one. Oh, and the fragrance! I'm a city boy, so I don't know what it was -- sage? Whatever it was, it was all over the property and it put me in the best frame of mind. We spent the day in Fredericksburg doing the Wine Passport thing (check it out at http://texaswinetrail.com/store/item/2016-texas-wine-month-trail). It's a beautiful drive of about 20 or 25 minutes. Oktoberfest was underway, so we had lots to do. That said, just staying at the cottage would have been enough. My two days there were far too short. If you're looking to make a memory; if you want to experience the kind of serenity that you can only get in the country; but if you don't want to rough it, then by all means check out Bella Vista.
We spent our anniversary at Barons CreekSide in the Davos Cabin. Great location and the cabin was comfortable and cute. The old cedar beams from an 1800's cabin in Texas integrated into the modern cabin was a nice blend of old and new. The grounds are beautiful with ducks, a little stream, and lots of green! Because this was a stay during the week in the Fall there was not a lot of people on the property so we didn't really see anyone for service with the exception of picking up the keys at the reservation station in town. We didn't eat onsite but the review site doesn't allow for blank scores. This is one of my favorite stays ever in a Texas B&B. We are definitely coming back for another stay.
My wife and I spent a long weekend at the Barons Creekside in the Rhein Falls cabin. It was beyond our expectations! The proximity to Fredericksburg was great, and the entire property was beautiful. It was the perfect getaway for our 10-year anniversary! Thank you Barons Creekside!!!
My husband and I recently stayed in the Guest House Master Suite. The room and bathroom were beautiful and inviting. The bed was very comfortable. This Suite had everything you could possibly need. This was our first time ever visiting Fredericksburg and we truly enjoyed everything about it. We loved having a beautiful place to come back to and rest. We were provided with so much information on where to eat and places to go. The recommendations were great! Very nice and relaxing weekend. The continental breakfast of delicious homemade pastries, fruit and coffee were a special touch and wonderful by Lynn. We look forward to coming back. Loved and enjoyed our stay.
Spending only one night here was like having only a great appetizer and wishing for more. Our hostess, Victoria was very helpful and knowledgeable about all things Fredericksburg. Our little house was perfectly clean, well appointed and thoughtfully arranged. The huge freestanding tub was a great bonus and something that you absolutely should not miss. We enjoyed beautiful Texas night skies on our front porch, slept in a very comfy bed and in the morning a delicious breakfast was delivered to our door. This is a Fredericksburg treasure.
Love the story behind the place and the fact that Daniel (the proprietor) moved from Switzerland and Brought over antiques and timber and doors etc by container ship to recreate the authentic log cabins with some modern amenities and built a beautiful man made creek that runs through the middle of the property. It's a truly unique find in the Texas hill country. We've celebrated two anniversaries there now!
My wife and I recently stayed at the Cat's Meow, and we had a fantastic time. It is a lovely, secluded, and romantic B&B. The service was great and very non-invasive. The check-in process was all via email with no human interaction required the entire trip. The staff was readily available if we needed them, but we were left in peace. The room was cozy and very well furnished. The décor was very fun and gave the cottage a warm and cozy atmosphere. The amenities were outstanding, including the whirlpool tub. Everything was well stocked and clean. The bed was on the firmer side, which provided great back support and sleep. The only semi-downside is that there are no food places on site. Breakfast vouchers are provided for a few restaurants in town, which was just fine for us. The seclusion and tranquility was just perfect. I highly recommend the Cat's Meow and would gladly stay here again.
We have stayed several times and are always so happy upon arrival. Things are always set up perfectly. It's our favorite place to stay. Monica goes out of her way for her guests!!!
Donna Wittenburg is the owner and she has a wonderful bed and breakfast. The furniture is nice. The food she cooks is excellent and its within four blocks of major shopping. I do not think you could find a nicer place to stay in Fredricksburg, Texas The breakfast is served in a nice furnished dining area with plenty of coffee, orange juice, food and fruit. I eat a lot and I was full. Most people will not be able to eat all the food provided. I will always book this place when visiting Fredricksburg. The pictures match exactly what you get and you will like it. Patrick
Took my wife to Fredericksburg for her birthday this week. Stayed at the Magnolia B&B in the Magnolia Suite. Service and breakfast was excellent. Very clean and nice room. Little pricy, but a really good experience. This morning's breakfast with the other guests was fun and Jill's food was excellent. Thumbs up to the Magnolia!
