My husband and I travel the world staying in B&Bs and we have never found one that is as extraordinary as Janine and Danny's La Roulage. We have stayed with them twice in the course of 3 years and from the moment we first arrived we have been treated as friends by this couple who open their home and their hearts to travelers from around the world. The home is absolutely beautiful-pictures do not do it justice-but it is all about the love they have put into restoring this home with their own hands and their willingness to share their lives with their guests that make the experience of staying at Le Roulage so very special. Thank you Janine and Danny for welcoming us into your beautiful, peaceful world. Lynn and Mike

My husband and I were lucky to book this property in April of 2016 for 4 nights. Janine is a lovely hostess who made us feel very welcome in her home. The house took her and Danny 2 years to restore and it is beautiful! Since it was early spring we did miss most blossoms in the garden but it is massive and peaceful. As mentioned in other reviews breakfast was delicious and the homemade jams incredible. Janine recommended a restaurant at the coast which was only a few miles away and it was spectacular. We went there for 2 nights. The house is easy to find and the Normandy beaches are very close by. You start out as guests and leave as friends! Richard and Linda

We stayed three nights at Le Roulage during our visit to Normandy. Janine and Danny are wonderful hosts, our time there exceeded our expectations in every way. We enjoyed strolling through Danny's gorgeous garden and visiting with Janine each morning over croissants and homemade jam (which was delicious). The rooms are quiet and the house peaceful. Spending our evenings in the beautifully restored farmhouse allowed us to enjoy the history of Normandy on a new level. I highly recommend Le Roulage if you are visiting the French countryside!

We loved our stay here in Longueville France. Janine and Daniel were wonderful hosts. Very quiet and peaceful after long days of sightseeing Normandy and surrounding areas. Janine put on the most delicious breakfasts with all her homemade jams and yogurts. Daniel has the most beautiful gardens all around their property. We so enjoyed it all. Thank you , Mike and Marty

It is a charming 1737 farm house that has been completely restored and modernized. Both Janine and Daniel were gracious hosts and make you feel at home right away. Delicious breakfasts with homemade jams made from fruits from their garden. Janine is very helpful with directions and places to see. The gardens are a delight. Daniel's talents in the garden are unmatched. A true French countryside experience. We loved it.

It was wonderful to stay in a 1737 country estate. Janine and Daniel were delightful and extremely helpful hosts. Janine prepared our breakfast (with homemade jams) and favorite beverage each morning and Daniel showed us his beautiful gardens and surroundings. We can not imagine any better place to stay in the Normandy area.

We stayed two nights with another couple and fell in love the minute we drove up. It is a charming old farm house they have modernized with a lovely garden in the back. Both Janine and Daniel were gracious hosts and paid great attention to detail - from how he restored the stone to Janine's embroidery and her delicious breakfasts. The jams were homemade with fruit from the garden. The table was beautifully set and made you feel special, yet at the same time like part of the family. Can't wait for a return trip! California fans

My husband and I stumbled into this B and B in a very small village without a reservation, and were so lucky to meet Janine and Daniel. They were very kind and generous to us, and their home was just lovely. It was very clean and nicely decorated with a very delightful garden as well. Janine makes great coffee, as well as jams! I would recommend this home to anyone!

We stayed at Le Roulage with another couple during our 3 day stay to visit the D-Day beaches. Janine and Daniel were wonderful hosts and made us feel right at home. This B&B is a farmhouse built in the early 1700s with a large magnificent garden lovingly maintained by Daniel. And Janine's homemade jams at breakfast were a delicious treat every morning. Each of our rooms was very charming and beautifully decorated by Janine. Le Roulage is 20 minutes from Bayeux but well-worth the drive to be in the peaceful countryside.

Le Roulage is beautiful home operated by two fantastic people. Janine and Daniel treated us as family. The airline lost our luggage and when we arrived at Le Roulage all we had was the clothes we were wearing. Janine and Daniel provided toiletries and gave us clothes to wear! They are great people! The garden is beautiful Daniel is a serious gardner. Janine's home made jams are a perfect way to start the day. We will always remember and appreciate the hospitality we received at Le Roulage.

The bed and breakfast was located in a small village within easy driving distance of the WW 11 sites. Madame was charming and made us feel completely at home. Her breakfasts were ample and especially delicious due to her variety of homemade jams. The property is immaculately maintained and especially restful after a long day of sightseeing. Would highly recommend.

My wife and I stayed here for two nights and wished that we would have had more time to enjoy the beautiful garden, as well as all the surrounding things. This place is perfect for exploring the Normandie WW2 history, enjoy great food in local towns or simply relax in the garden. The owners are very friendly and even mailed me two shirts that I left behind. Of course I reimbursed them for postage, etc. but the fact that they don't stop caring once you leave simply confirms how genuinly nice and friendly they are. Thank you very much, we loved every minute at your location. Kim & Stefan

My husband and I stayed three nights and it was absolutely fabulous. Janine speaks excellent English and we loved her French - "Voila" to everything. She welcomed us like we were family. We enjoyed the delicious fresh bread and her homemade jams - yummy, with very good coffee and juice. We were blessed with beautiful weather so we got to enjoy wine and snacks in the front garden. Our room and bathroom - perfect and so very clean. Janine and Daniel are a lovely couple and we thank them for sharing their beautiful home and gardens with us. Dawn and Tom Dean

The perfect place to relax and enjoy the pleasures of nature in a charming, eye-catching, captivating atmosphere where the owners do anything to make your stay unforgettable (Daniel taking care of their beautiful garden and Janine preparing her beautiful breakfasts....). And this is all at just a few minutes drive from the most interesting places in Normandy. There is no other place we would reccomend to go and we will surely come back as soon as we have the chance!!! Thanks again for the beautiful moments!!!

Our weekly stay in this beautiful, quiet b&b (just a few minutes away from the D-Day landing beaches) was outstandingly enriched by Ms. Leroyer's presence. She impeccably takes care of the guests, gently responding to any request (we were travelling with a 14-month old baby), while her husband shapes the beautiful garden that surrounds the house. Everything is accurately managed. Strongly reccommended.

My eight year old daughter and I were extremely impressed both with this beautiful home and with it's owners, our hosts, Janine and Daniel LeRoyer. The grounds are gorgeous and the home is lovely. The owners are very passionate about the gardens and Janine is a master at embroidery and at making you feel at home here. The breakfast was amazing, with fresh bread and croissant, homemade jams and jellies using the fruits from their own gardens. The butter is from the local cows, and everything is served on the best china in the dining room. We felt like queen and princess there. And when leaving, Janine was very nice to serve us our breakfast early, as we had an early train to catch. Janine speaks good English, and we don't speak French, so communication was easy. I would love to visit here again when I have more time. If you love gardens, you should not miss out on staying here. It is very close to Omaha Beach and the other D-Day beaches. I will visit this property again if I can. I highly recommend it to everyone. Thank you Daniel and Janine!

We stayed at Janine and Daniel's inn in June 2012 during the time of the We stayed at the inn for several days, and the location was perfect for visiting all the D-Day sites. The rooms, each with its own bath, are simply decorated, yet comfortable, and Janine's breakfast table is generous, and includes jams that Janine has prepared herself. The rolls and croissants are provided fresh every day, and are bountiful. The coffee, tea and hot chocolate were delicious. Daniel tends the gardens which are spectacular! The varities of roses and other flowering shrubs and blooms are a sight to behold. Gorgeous! The German cemetery at La Cambe is close by, and you can begin your tour of the coast from here, starting at Utah Beach. This area is also close to branching off toward Mont St. Michel, as well as Honfleur and Deauville. St. Mere Eglise is also nearby. We would easilly stay at this bed & breakfast again if we return to the area in the future.

A warm, quiet, french style, passionate place to stay at a very affordable price. The things we enjoy here is far more than we pay. A wonderful nice garden is taken care by the passionated house owners. They generously and hospitality share their house and garden. The house owner Janine loves embroidery very much, we can enjoy her wonderful art works. Janine makes every effort to let us explore the place around Normandy. If your travel plans include the D-Day beaches and you want to combine that with staying in a B&B in a little town in the French countryside, then Le Roulage in Longueville, France is for you. It is a charming home built in 1737 which has been renovated by the owners and includes a stunning rose garden with over 100 varieties of roses. The B&B is in a small town which has quite a history from WWI and WWII and the owners have some interesting stories about when the Germans occupied the area and more specifically, the B&B. Your stay with Janine and Daniel Leroyer will be relaxed and quiet and there is a fishing village on the coast with several tasty restaurants. I wish we had had more time to spend there with our gracious hosts!

Le Roulage is very impressive the minute you drive through the walled and gated entrance. The lawn & garden is superbly kept by Daniel. The garden is an inviting place to sit in the shade and have a glass of wine. Janine makes jelly from the fruit that Daniel grows in the garden. She serves fresh bread and homemade jelly for breakfast every morning. Delicious!!! We stayed in the Yellow Room. It was very comfortable, nicely decorated, large and very clean. Janine keeps Normandy sightseeing information in a book for her guests convienence. Every restaurant Janine or Daniel recommeded in Grand Camp or Bayeaux was very good to excellent. If we visit Normandy again we will be staying with Janine & Daniel. Very nice people to know... Karen & Barry Milligan

We stayed one night in this charming bed and breakfast in the village of Longeville, close to the Normandy beaches. For a family of four the rooms were large and beautifully furnished with charm and old world graciousness. The house is lovely with a beautiful garden attached and is in a quiet, restful position. Homemade jams and fresh bread and croissants with coffee and hot chocolate were served for breakfast. The beaches are a short drive away. A good base for Bayeux and D-Day sites.
