Welcome to the Hanna House Bed & Breakfast. Recently renovated and furnished in the finest antiques and oriental carpets. The Rudolph Ulrich House was built in 1896 and served as the home to one of New Bern's more succesful grocery suppliers. The house has undergone periods of use and revival, the most recent attending to the turn-of-century detail that distinguish older homes and provide our guests with an opportunity to escape to a quiet enviornment that encourages relaxation.
Sitting Area: Inside the house boasts a handsome blend of the two styles:Queen Anne and Colonial Revival;highlighted by the graceful Colonial Revial stair. The three mantels on the first floor are original to the house reflecting late Victorian details.Fox Chase Room:Turn right at the head of the stairs into your own private hallway. Enter the intimate bedroom with private tiled bath and sit awhile on the mid-19th Century slipper chair that faces the historic full size sleigh bed brought froma New England Inn for which it was made in 1840.The similary dated chest of drawers warms the room. Northern exposure provides for late mornings and bright afternoons.
German Mill Room: This newly renovated space represents our luxury suite. The room boasts a king sized handmade wrought iron bed, authentic tin ceilings, sitting room, balcony looking out to the streetscape, and private fully tiled bath with stall shower and separate "heated bubbler" tub.Puritan room: queen bed, private bath with shower.
