My husband and I stayed here during our anniversary for two nights. The minute we walked in the door we were greeted by the very friendly and pleasant innkeepers, Suzanne and Bob. We felt comfortable and welcomed instantly. We had great conversation, and they offered us 24/7 happy hour and snacks straightaway. The fresh baked cookies were amazing. We stayed in the "Serenity" room which was very pleasant. It was a spacious room, and it had a great view of the city. We loved how the beautiful terrace was right outside our door. We would sip on the complimentary wine and sway on the porch swing to unwind. The room was very clean, the sheets and bed were very comfortable, and even the soaps/conditioners were super cute and smelled so fresh and clean! The breakfast here were our favorite meals of the trip. It was the best service we had all weekend. Suzanne and Bob were quick to fill our coffees and provide the delicious food as soon as we were ready. Several people would ask for the recipes, because they were so good! The location was perfect. Just far enough away from the hustle and bustle, close enough to walk everywhere. We brought our bikes which actually required more room than the provided parking space, thus Bob and Suzanne let us park in their driveway. I don't know how you could be more accommodating. The next time we come back to St. Augustine, we'll look for no other place than here.

We had such an amazing weekend and can't imagine having stayed anywhere else. From the minute we walked in the front door we were taken care of by the innkeepers. The home is absolutely charming. If we find ourselves back in St. Augustine we will certainly be staying at the Old Powder House Inn.

We came down from Monticello to celebrate my birthday and we just had a great experience with The Old Powder House Inn! Jessica called us on the way down to make sure she still would be there for us and when we got there she took great care of us and we stayed in a cute, very clean, with all you need room! Next morning we had a very good breakfast and we had the pleasure to meet Suzanne and Latoya. So nice and friendly ladies and as I said, breakfast both days were delicious! Location on this B&B is also excellent and we can very much recommend it! And we have been down here before but stayed at other places but we will definitely come back here, next time! And by the way, it's very affordable too!

What a wonderful place for a getaway or any special occasion. It is very clean and everyone treats you like family. Breakfast was outstanding and makes you wish they had it twice a day! I will definitely be back and will also be bringing family and friends. Thanks Bob and Susan and your great staff! Also thanks to Carl and Jen for taking me. Carole

This wonderful Inn and the amazingly kind hosts are a real delight to stay in St. Augustine. The hotel is at foot distance from the very historical center and breakfast was incredible. Felt like home. L&F

We had a very nice stay. Breakfast was very good, room was pleasant and clean. The only thing I would tell the inkeepers is that visitors need 2 keys for each room if there are 2 guests in these. Husbands went to golf and ladies went shopping. Each wanted to be able to get in and out of the room. The response that it is a "bed and breakfast and not a hotel" was inappropriate. Otherwise, very nice stay.

You couldn't have better hosts than Bob and Suzanne....from their commitment to meeting all of the needs of their guests, to creating a warm and inviting atmosphere, to helping arrange tours and other successful experiences this trip has been GREAT!!! The Old Powder House Is a first class place to stay, close to everything and totally enjoyable....other guests were fun and creative....loved it!!!

Great location to walk to most all restaurants and shops. Innkeepers were extremely friendly. Street level rooms on front porch were too noisy for our taste. The Victoria Rose room needs central air-conditioning. Window unit is old and noisy. We loved the breakfasts!
Thank you for your input. We appreciate your comments. We are constantly striving to improve our property and our guest experience. The A/C unit is on our repair list and will be replaced shortly. Unfortunately, there's not much we can do about street noise. (Except mask the noise with an air conditioner...LOL) We do hope you will come back to visit again and experience the ever-improving OPH.

Just about every aspect of our stay at your Inn was way above average. I will recommend your Inn to anyone who we know will visit St. Augustine. If I return in the next few years, you will be the place I book. Thanks to all the staff who help make it that way.

The owner hostess greeted us at the door with a huge warm welcome and did the same each morning. We could always count on hot coffee being out in the parlour promptly at 7:30 am along with tea. In the afternoon would be waiting wine for us to partake in while sitting out on the porch. The bed room was beautiful airy with 3 windows and a modern private bath. The bed was even special. The perfect B and B to escape to for a long weekend.

Had a wonderful time . Bob and Suzanne are very friendly and make you feel welcomed . They had good recommendations and very knowledgable on things to do. Every morning a delicious breakfast was served and was like starting each day with a party. Will definitely stay here again . Not one negative thing to say.

Our stay at Old Powder House Inn is one that I will not forget anytime soon. This inn had everything that I love all wrapped up in the room we stayed in. My husband and I felt like we were part of the family Bob and Suzanne were great and we have been to many B&B but the service and treatment were far more then I expected. I loved it so much that I am returning with our daughter for a girl's weekend and I cannot wait.

We asked for and were granted an early check-in which was very convenient and appreciated. Bob prepared a wonderful breakfast and we enjoyed the conversation that followed...we are both gearheads. The room was nice but did face the construction across the street which should be complete soon. A nicely kept Inn close to downtown and many fine restaurants. On site parking was a huge plus. This was our first Bed & Breakfast experience and we were delighted! Our room (Miranda) was quaint and very clean. Located in the Historic District, it is central to absolutely everything yet just off the beaten path making it very quiet and peaceful. We especially enjoyed the spectacular breakfast served each morning and conversation with the other guests. A great way to start the day!

My Wife and I had never been to St Augustine and with so many places to stay we got luck that we chose this one. Old Powder House Inn was very clean and the Inn Keepers were very nice and helpful. Service was prompt, room was clean, and breakfast was good. Even after check out we were able to leave our car parked there for the day and they welcomed us back for drinks and snacks in the lobby area (we still felt like guests even after checkout). This Bed and Breakfast is in a great location as well. We'll definitely stay here again!

My girl friend and I were driving from Chicago, IL to Naples, FL and wanted to visit St. Augustine for a day. We wanted a Bed & Breakfast experience. We had several B&B to pick from but when we called ahead to ask some questions Bob (owner) was a delight on the phone and very informative so we chose The Old Powder House. It was more than expected and we loved it. Our room (Serenity) was beautiful and very comfy. Wine, sherry and coffee and cookies in the lobby was a nice touch. Several areas to sit and relax. Breakfast was wonderful. Everything was close to walk to and they have off street parking in the back. Would definitely stay here again. Barbara and Eileen

Very close to St. George street so we could walk to most attractions. Except for having to dine with others for the breakfast, it was very quiet and private for most of the day. Sitting on the porches was very nice. There was construction across the street that was noisy during they day. The room that we could afford, was VERY small making getting ready in bathroom difficult. I did not enjoy having to sit with the other people staying in the Inn for breakfast and be served like in a restaurant. The conversation was inappropriate at times and since the room was so small, you could not help but overhear. I would have rather taken my breakfast to the porch. The breakfast included too many sweet dishes and the quiche was burned.

The rooms are so beautifully and uniquely decorated and make you not want to leave your room ever! The Inn Keepers were genuinely caring and eager to meet us! Breakfast was one of a kind and can only be found here! A true masterpiece! Thank you so so much for making this an unforgettable trip!

Our stay at the Old Powder House Inn with Bob and Suzanne was amazing. The breakfast was delicious and our room was beautiful. We stayed in the Splendid Time and we LOVED having the exterior door to come and go as we pleased. There was also snacks and drinks 24HRS a day. The location is perfect, just a 2 minute walk to St. George Street and close to everything. We loved it.

We had a wonderful time at the Old Powder Inn. Bob was fabulous! He had lots of information to share with us on restaurants, things to do and ways to get around. The place was absolutely beautiful. Mt favorite part was the three verandas/porches. We used all of them. The top one was great for people watching. The lower one was relaxing and comfortable overlooking the garden. The third was my favorite. It was a screened in porch and reminded me of being at Grandma's house. The food was decadent and delicious. I would highly recommend this place!
5 on February 09, 2014
We spent four January days at the Inn in a attempt to delay out inevitable return to the Polar Vortex. This was our third annual stay. We continue to enjoy the 'just right" hospitality provided at the Inn. Every visit unearths a couple of new interesting restaurants. Everything from formal dinning to the funky little bakery hidden across the street (home of the amazing pulled-pork Cuban sandwich). The Inn's owners and staff have not been wrong yet about a recommended restaurant. The location of the Inn is also a perfect walking distance from the old city's attractions.

It was a very pleasant stay and we highly recommend it.

We've stayed I many B&Bs over the years, and this one is definitely a winner and a keeper! We're already trying to decide when we can make a return visit. Bob and Suzanne, the new owners as of August 2013, are absolutely delightful. They made us feel like we were old friends from the first time we met. Location, location, location....in the Historic District within easy walking distance of all of the historic attractions, restaurants and bars with music, and more. The inn was decorated for Christmas in a traditional style using untraditional colors of turquoise, pink and purple along with white lights and silver for sparkle. It was beautiful and fun! Breakfast is prepared and served with care. They even ask if there are any special dietary accommodations...how thoughtful. Oh, yes, and there was a lovely complimentary sherry in our room, and in the parlor always wine, sherry, coffee, and more. Our room was lovely and beautifully appointed; it even included a Jacuzzi tub, which we enjoyed after a full day and night of activities in town. Truly, we had a delightful stay and would recommend a visit. Maybe we'll see you there...because we wii be back:) Dottie & David

We stayed in the small hideaway room in the back of the building. Its too small for two people on any extended stay; but I should have know better (since the description does say "cozy". The property is nostalgic, nice, and well kept. The innkeepers (Bob and Suzanne) are very accommodating. They really go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable and well attended to. Suzanne makes an awesome breakfast...really gourmet! All in all would definitely go back but I would stay in a better/larger room. It should also be noted that the location is perfect right in the heart of St. Augustine and all within walking distance.

We just spent a wonderful weekend at the Old Power Inn. New owners Bob and Suzanne Hailey are relative newbie innkeepers--but maybe that's why they try harder! The rooms are lovely, and the little extra surprises we found there were a nice surprise. Suzanne is a former personal chef, so you can just imagine how yummy the breakfasts were! But most important, we found their warmth and sincerity the best part of the stay. You can tell that this is a lifelong dream for them, and they seem to be enjoying every minute of it!

The B&B itself is wonderful. Our room was very large and gorgeous with a drop-leaf table, 2 chairs, a secretary's desk and plenty of clothes storage space, a full shower with a separate jacuzzi, and a king-size bed. The size of the room itself was enough to make us go back. However, the owners of this inn were so accommodating and, well, so fun! We had a great time in St. Augustine AND a fun time while at the B&B. We were visiting during a Christmas B&B Tour event and their tree and decorations exceeded all of the other inns we visited. Their staff was equally accommodating and beyond nice. We will most certainly be visiting them again!!!

The Old Powder Inn in St. Augustine Florida was a wonderful place to stay. The room was great, the breakfast was a gourmets delight. Hosts Bob and Suzanne were very gracious and helpful. They also gave us guidance on places to see and where to eat. The inn has parking accomodations which is great and is within walking distance of most of the local attractions. We would stay there again and give it a great recommendation!

We decided to give the Powder House a try based mostly on its location and proximity to everything downtown. The new owners were friendly and engaging. The room was a bit small but the big second floor balcony certainly made up for that! The breakfast was very tasty (yum) and the Inn was very clean and well maintained. We did find the level of street noise to be a bit disturbing...so no sleeping in for us this visit. The onsite parking was nice, too. The Inn keeper even allowed us to park the car early in the day prior to our check in. All in all we would consider this location again for a future visit.

We arrived on a Thursday afternoon, we found no parking due to construction on roof next door. After getting hold of innkeepers we were informed of other available parking spots. Innkeeper very friendly upon check in and showed us to our room. We were a bit tired from our trip and decided to take a short nap, which was very short due to all of the construction noise across the street, some type of excavator and alot of banging around not very peaceful.. We decided to get out and view city. We have been to St Augustine several times weather was perfect and crowds low which was a nice treat. Had a great night sleep and enjoyed breakfast next morning. Enjoyed antiquing the following day but no afternoon naps due to construction noise. Overall we had a very nice trip we have stayed at this B&B several times. We like upstairs room overlooking street the best. The new owners were very nice and I know they could not control noise just a bit disappointed, since this is usually a very serene spot.

Only one criticism--Breakfast is served exactly at 9 a.m. This means 10-10:30 before we can begin our day. Effectively we have lost a half day because of the late breakfast. Otherwise, a very clean, efficient, and friendly operation. We did enjoy our stay.

Bob and Suzanne recently purchased The Old Powder House Inn and are doing exactly what they should be doing, no major changes. I’m sure they have some ideas they would want to try, but they are learning their customer base before they will proceed. Not to say there are not to be changes, but they will probably be more on the physical side in the beginning. To paraphrase Arnold, ‘We’ll be back’. Dave & Marsha

I have stayed at many bed and breakfasts before and this one was one of the best I have experienced. The owners were very friendly and did everthing that they could to make our stay comfortable and pleasant. Its location was within a short walking distance of everything! The Old Powder House Inn was amazing! A block from all the action. Beautiful rooms! Extremely friendly new owners that were very interested in our wishes. Very quiet and romantic. The rooms are small. I highly recommend this place.

My husband and I stayed here recently; great location, nice comfortable room, delicious breakfast and wonderful freshly baked cookies every afternoon. The innkeepers were very nice and hospitable. The rooms and bathrooms were very clean. The inn has a nice porch. Everything is within walking distance. Parking is available and convenient. My husband really enjoyed the free sherry every evening. We would stay there again it was a good value.

Our one-night stay at the Old Powder House was very nice. The location is a very short walk from many attractions and the waterfront. We will stay longer next time. The breakfast was delicious! Very nice staff. The room was amply large with a comfortable king size bed with a nice area to sit outside on the upstairs deck. Highly recommended!

Had a wonderful expereience based on a impulse decision to get away for the weekend. Checked in Friday to find that Katie and Kal had prepared a great room for us. We very much endulged in Katie's creative breakfasts and spent evenings on the upstairs covered porch with a bottle of wine. WOuld love to do it again

Charming accommodations, excellent location. We parked our car when we arrived and didn't use it again until we left. Great breakfasts!
3.6 on July 15, 2013
Location was excellent. We walked to most everything. A cocktail hour like some of the other places offer would have been nice. We met nice people at breakfast. Loved the antique furniture in the registration/breakfast area. The room could have had more shelves or another small table. There wasn't anywhere to sit anything. Would definately go back.
4.2 on July 11, 2013
The Old Powder House was fabulous. Katie and Kal couldn't be nicer folks. They went out of their way to make sure everything was ok. We booked their smallest room and Katie was more troubled by this than we were. It was fine..cozy and extremely comfortable.Emma and Higgins became our friends too...
5 on July 09, 2013
The room was romantic, and spectacular. The food was excellent, and the service as good as it gets. This is a great place for a romantic getaway. The location is perfect - close, yet quiet. I can't recommend this place highly enough. We will go back.

This was the first time we visited St. Augustine and we loved it. Breakfast was a great start to our day and enhanced the entire experience! The food was delicious and the inn keepers were personal, courteous, and entertaining!! We will definitely be making another visit to this bed and breakfast!!!

My husband and I spent a night here for our one year anniversary. Yes, there are rules but they make sense and our easy to follow. The innkeeper is very personable and upfront and honest about expectations. The location is amazing. Our room, the Miranda, was charming and more spacious than others we have stayed in in St. Augustine. Breakfast was delicious. Thank you for a lovely stay

Our first time at a bed and breakfast-------fantastic experience.
5 on June 12, 2013
My husband and I stayed here for our 14 year anniversary. Of all the bed and breakfast we have stayed at I must say The Old Powder House Inn was most definitely the best one. Not only was it super clean and just beautiful but the staff was so warm and welcoming you felt right at home. The breakfast was delicious and one of a kind. We can't wait to plan another stay!! I would recoomend this bed and breakfast to everyone, you won't be disappointed.

We had a wonderul stay at The Old Powder House Inn. The Owner and their staff were amazing and the hospitality far exceeded our expectations. The Inn is very nice and very well kept, clean and is a beautiful place and setting. We needed a perfect relaxing place to stay and .... We certainly got it at The Old Powder House Inn!! Romantic getway ... Perfect!! Our room was spectacular and extremely comfortable - The Inn has some interesting history and the ghosts are friendly...... :) We look forward to coming back multiple times and staying in a different room each time. Don't stay anywhere else! Having never stayed at a bed and breakfast before, me and the wife decided to go around and tour at multiple locations before deciding where to stay. Don't get me wrong, the hospitality at each location we visited was great but the accommodations were no match for the Old Powder House Inn. The room was WAY nicer, cleaner, and more "homey" than any of the other locations we visited. You are only a block from the center of everything too. The hosts were very attentive to what we wanted or needed before, during and after our stay and the breakfast was phenomenal. All of the guests were great and we sat and chatted the whole time at breakfast like a family. I was skeptical of the value versus staying at a hotel, but I can tell you that I will be staying at the Old Powder House Inn each time I visit St. Augustine yearly from here on. BEST MONEY I HAVE SPENT IN A LONG TIME. Thanks for a wonderful experience, Kristin and Bobby

Katie and Kal are excellent hosts for this lovely getaway. We've never been disappointed with our accommodations or the warm atmosphere. The Inn is in an excellent location. We just park our car and do everything on foot. Perfect!

We had a wonderful stay with reservations made rather last minute. Our host was most helpful and gracious and our room clean, bright and inviting. I would highly recommend to anyone considering a stay.

This was a very nice B&B. The hosts were very attentive. It has off street parking and is a short walking distance to the historic district. We are already making our plans for next year.

Very nice place to stay. Bed was very comfortable. Would have liked to have had a choice for breakfast. Within walking distance of St. George St. in St. Augustine. Just park your car and have a good time!

My wife and I really enjoyed our 2 night stay in the Serenity room. Really liked having direct access to the veranda from our room. Also liked all of the light from the many windows surrounding the room.
4.6 on May 02, 2013
The breakfasts we were served for three days were outstanding. They were catered to our families specialized diet. The veranda on the top floor is great for watching the horse carriages and foot traffic below.
5 on May 02, 2013
The location and setting of the Inn are absolutely perfect. Everything is in walking distance. The Inn keepers were very hospitable and friendly, adding to the warm feeling of the Inn. The rooms were very comfortable and tidy. We had several great meals at local restaurants, however the breakfasts at the Inn were our favorites. Cannot recommend this place enough....an overall outstanding experience!!

My son's wedding was at the Cordova Mansion, literal across the street. We were so conviently located we could come and go easily. The innkeeper was so helpful, she recieved important mail for us. The food --- Oh, my gosh! We left the table satisfied and discussing the blends of flavors and presentation. My sister has difficulty getting up in the morning, and never missed a breakfast. Our room was comfortable, and private, everything we had hoped for. This was our first visit to a bed and breakfast, but certainly, not our last! We live in Oregon and still are talking about how to get back to beautiful St. Augustine and the Old Powder House. You cannot go wrong.
4.2 on April 30, 2013
The location was great. The staff was very friendly. The room was spacious and darling. Nice!
4.0 on April 26, 2013
I chose this from their website. My room was small but lovely. Parking isin the rear and off street. My only negative commment is the assigned seating at breakfast at single tables. It was an odd set up. I felt like I was separated fromm the other guests as I travel alone.
4.4 on April 24, 2013
Katie and her husband answered a lot of questions, and all tips and suggestions were worthwhile. Located in the midst of downtown, we knew the businesses to patronize and those "not what we would enjoy".
3.8 on April 22, 2013
Me and my husband had our first experience at a B&B here at Old Powder House. Food and service were great. Loved our room... the Victoria. Would recommend it.

This was the first Inn we have visited and it was a wonderful experience. The room, cleanliness and the friendly welcome were all first rate. The food was excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The Old Powder Inn is definitely one of the best places to stay in St. Augustine. Katie and Kal make you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. The rooms are extremely clean and the breakfast are exceptional. You will not be disappointed if you decide to stay here!

My wife I had had not be on a vacation for some time and it was well over due. This was our first time here and we will be coming back. It was very clean and relaxing, breakfest was good like all the comments I had read on the reviews. We only stayed for 2 days but wish we would have had time to stay longer. We didn't get a whole lot of time to explore due to it raining for most of the time we where there but that was ok. We stayed in the Memories Room and I'll have to say that it had plenty of room, hot tub was nice, private and the mattress was very comfortable, enough so that my wife wanted buy a new one as soon as we got back home... We got a new one..LOL..

This is a delightful inn, and the hosts are superb.

My wife and I wanted a staycation for our first anniversary so we decided to stay at a bed and breakfast nearby. We loved the location since it was pretty much within walking distance to everything Old Town St. Augustine. The staff upgraded us to a larger room gratis which was unexpected, but appreciated. The breakfast was definitely something to write home about. We loved the birds in the nest. We would definitely come again.
4.8 on March 29, 2013
This B&B was the perfect place! The location to dining and shops in St Augustine was perfect! The amazing couple that was taking care of us took extra steps to ensure that everyone in my group was satisfied. That included them making a different breakfast just for one person because of dietary preferences. The rooms were themed and adorable and while there was no Internet or TV in my room it provided me the opportunity to relax more! I plan to stay again the next time I go to St Augustine and would recommend it to those looking for a B&B.
5 on March 29, 2013
The B&B was very clean. Bed was so comfortable I had a great night sleep. I felt safe in this part of town. Very close to restaurants and shops (walking distance) The breakfast was insane (Spanish eggs in a pastry puff) My husband could have eaten two if it was available. Parking was on site but was very tight (big vehicle was hard to park) Enjoyed our stay and will visit again Thank you for your hospitality

We had a great weekend at the Old Powder House. From our second-floor room, we watched the Celtic parade after a great breakfast. My daughter and I loved the Victorian feel of our stay at this cozy bed and breakfast.
4.6 on March 18, 2013
We stayed for two nights. Our room was upgraded from what we had initially planned with no increase in price. Breakfast was excellent. All major area attractions that we wanted to see were within easy walking distance.
4.6 on March 18, 2013
The location is great. The rooms are always very clean. The bathrooms are a little bit small but very clean and useable. Breakfast setting is wonderful and the food is very good. Hopitality is awsome.
4.6 on March 15, 2013
We were running late and unable to arrive before the 6:00 pm check-in time so our room key and directions to the room were left in an envelope at the parlor door. Our room (The Splendid Time) was very cozy and well decorated with different styles of clocks. The bathroom was of a good size and the shower felt great. The entire inn was spotlessly clean which is very important to us while traveling. After a good nights sleep, we were treated to a wonderful breakfast at 8:45 am in the dining room set up with tables for two or more depending on your party size. Although we weren't sitting with other guests, the tables were placed so we were able to met and talk with others comfortable. Katie and Kal are very pleasant inn keepers. Sherry in the parlor for a nightcap, a screened in front porch area, and onsite parking behingd the inn are all nice additions to a very nice bed and breakfast experience .A note on parking - we were traveling in my husband's full size pickup truck and the parking area is a bit small. There is public parking less than a block away which you may want to consider using if parking close together is not your thing. Katie "scolded" us for not planning a longer stay in the beautiful historic city of Saint Augustine. She also collects hugs as you say your goodbyes! I love hugs! We will recommand this inn to anyone traveling to the area. Thanks for a wonderful (but to short) stay!

We stayed one night at this B&B and were pleased with the cleanliness of our room and the friendliness of the owners. Only complaint was a rather "perfume like smell everywhere".The breakfast was delicious and the owner very helpful.

Wish I could give more stars for service and dining!! We were there on Valentine's Day and Katie made it extra special. 'nough said. Kal had KP duty the next morning and breakfast was excellent. Other guests there were repeat visitors and we will be too.

Our stay was so much fun. Within easy walking distance to old St. Augustine and wonderful restaurants and shops. The innkeepers were very gracious and the breakfasts were to die for!! We met a delightful couple we plan on keeping in touch with which just enhanced our visit.

This was our second and absolutely NOT the last visit to the Old Powder House. Every time we go the, the whole experience is wonderful.
4.4 on February 11, 2013
My wife's birthday and our 34th wedding anniversary made going to the Powder House Inn a perfect match. We have stayed at many B&B's over the years, in New England but, this was our first "Southern" experience. The location is their best attribute. Food and hospitality outstanding. Only one issue, and it is to be expected being in the "heart" of the historic district, is the traffic. The "Serenity" room was great except not so "serene" at night into early morning. Oveall, a high recommendation!
4.2 on February 08, 2013
My husband does not like B&B's so talking him into this one was a bit difficult but he is so happy that I did. When first arriving you are immediately made to feel comfortable and that continues until you say goodbye. Can't wait to go back and try some of the other rooms.....and breakfasts.

Had a chance to spend a couple days in St. Augustine in Jan 2013. Found this B&B online and made a reservation. Owners and staff were very helpful and friendly. Historical house close to everything in St. Augustine. Would strongly recommend the "Old Powder House Inn" for those looking for a stress free getaway. Oh, and the breakfast was top drawer.

This was a planned celebration for my wife's sister on her birthday. Being a milestone birthday (we won't mention which one!), it had to be special. When selecting a place to stay in St. Augustine, we looked at motels and decided that we wanted a bed and breakfast for the occasion. After review we made our decision and reservations. Upon arriving we were met by Katie in the parking area, who helped us park our truck. Next we went in to check in and that was where we really saw the difference! Everything about the place was explained in great detail and we knew that there wasn't much these guys wouldn't do to make our stay as pleasurable as possible. We were given the grand tour of the facilities and shown to our room. This was one of the best features; each room has a theme and charm all its own! Our room was the Grace Darling room. Of course we had to research it and learned the story of this brave young lady. As for location, you don't get much closer to everything you come to St. Augustine to see. Everything is within walking distance. Then you wake up and go to the dining room and Katie and Kal treat you to a home cooked breakfast that was more than I expected. Felt like I was visiting family! And of course, when you check out, you don't leave until Katie gives you a big hug! We will definitely be back!

We enjoyed our stay very much. The location was perfect, the hosts were friendly.
4.8 on January 27, 2013
Katie and Kal are wonderful hosts, a location that makes discovering the old city on foot a breeze, good food, comfortable rooms (although the plug in air freshener in the room was a little strong... easily fixed) and this stay we discovered the bakery hidden across the street. Cheeses, fresh baggette, coffees, fresh made sandwiches, sweets... yummmm! Thanks again for a great stay.
5 on January 26, 2013
wonderful rooms and Katie and Kal are just great Innkeepers. A marvelous get away place in a beautiful city with tons to do and see.

KATE & KAL WERE THE MOST GRACIOUS HOSTS YOU COULD EVER ASK FOR.....
5 on January 17, 2013
From the beginning we were treated royally. The hostess was exceedingly helpful even helping my sister in law with getting treats for us. Also helping us the place to eat for my wife's special birthday.
5 on January 16, 2013
My husband and I stayed at this B&B for our first inn experience. The inn keepers were pleasant, breakfast was delightful, and our room was very comfortable and very clean. The inn is situated in a GREAT location. We didn't use our car for the entire 3 1/2 days we were there. The surroundings were quiet with a miriad of restaraunts and shops within walking distance. The inn keeper made reservations for us for dinner and a carriage ride. It was nice to be able to walk around and then go back to the room for an hour and rest if wanted. Made for a relaxed and pleasant trip. We can hardly wait to find time to go back!
5 on January 16, 2013
The Old Powder House Inn was an exceptional experience. This was our first time in a Bed & Breakfast, and we could not have chosen a nicer place. Katie is an extremely warm person and made us feel as if The Old Powder House Inn was our own home. We truly recommend this for a wonderful vacation.

We have stayed at the Powder House three times, always over the holiday break. We love the area and enjoy the food, service and atmosphere. Katie and Cal are wonderful hosts. The location is fantastic, with everything being within a couple minutes walking distance. The onsite parking is very nice feature as well. We highly recommend this location.

This was a very friendly, lovely place, and I recommend that anyone who stays in St. Augustine to take lodgings here.
4.2 on January 10, 2013
Overall clean and comfortable. Breakfast fantastic. Locaton great. My only concern was the bathroom in our unit. A shower curtain on an old piped rail should be replaced with a sliding glass door to allow the patron more room as the bathroom being from the 1800s is small enough.

My husband and I stayed at the Inn for our wedding on New Years Eve 2012!! Katie and Kal was the greatest they helped with all our needs and made sure we had everything we needed for our special day!! Our stay was great!! We will be back for our One year anniversary !!

4.4 on December 28, 2012
This was what we were expecting, after doing internet research. Don't expect it to be hotel-like. It was noisy at night, being on the "Holly Jolly Trolley" tour at Christmas, but that was to be expected. It's on the horse carriage route, too, and we enjoyed seeing the various decorated carriages and watching the horses from the second floor balcony. Overall, we very much enjoyed our stay. (We were in the Serenity Room, the only room with a frig and wet bar area.) The owners were very nice and gladly accommodated our gluten-free dietary restrictions at breakfast. This B&B is also within easy walking of St. George Street and all of the old downtown area.

This was not only our first visit to St. Augustine, but also our first experience with a B&B....and we can't wait to get back down there and do it all again! The Old Powder House is in a PERFECT location, right in the middle of historical downtown's restaurants, shops, etc. We parked the car when we arrived and didn't move it until we had to leave to head home. Seriously, GREAT location. We were met at the door by Katie, who was wonderfully welcoming. She was a tremendous source of information for places to go and eat and things to see, which was very valuable considering it was our first time. Breakfast was not only yummy, but Katie was eager to meet my necessary food needs and offered delicious alternatives. Lastly, the room....it was above and beyond what we expected. We had our own private entrance, and loved coming back to the cozy fireplace. Can't WAIT to go back!!!

Everything was as expected. We loved it. The lady that welcomed us gave us a run down of all restaurants and to-do in St. Augustine. Their location is amazing. We parked the car on Friday and didnt move it for 3 days. The only draw back was the breakfast which is at 8:45am or you miss it. Either you are there or you loose it. Other than that, great! Worth every penny.

Another fantastic stay (over 8 now). Food is always marvelous, Inn is clean, neat and the rooms are decorated tastefully and the beds are always comfortable. Stayed in Memories room this time. Hot tub was very nice and the king bed was a delight.

Katie & Kal are the warmest, most genuine & helpful hosts. The Old Powder House is more than a beautiful place to stay, it truly feels like a home away from home. We have stayed at B&Bs in St. Augustine before, but our stay at the OPH was by far our best experience - we can't wait to return!

My husband and I were looking for a nice quite spot to spend a few days. This was just what we wanted. Breakfast was delicious, and the staff was super friendly.
3.4 on September 13, 2012
We had opted for the Queen Anne Lace Room which corresponded more or less to the photo on the Internet. The room was charmingly decorated but far too small - hardly any surfaces to put small items. As to be expected in a building of that type the bathroom was also way too small. The air-conditioning unit was set at 73 with the fan permanently on which was too low for us. There was no way this could be adjusted. Another reason we would not choose this room again is the fact that it is located right by the large guest terrace and with people assembling there until midnight, there is not much chance of getting any sleep. We would certainly use the Old Powderhouse B&B again but likely choose a larger room (provided there is one).
4.6 on August 27, 2012
This was our first experience in a B&B and we totally enjoyed it ! The entire experience was a delight ! The breakfast was special and we shall return to the The Old Powder House Inn next trip to St. Augustine.
3.4 on August 27, 2012
My husband and I enjoyed our stay immensely. The owners were very sweet and helpful as well. Breakfast was always delicious. It would have been nice to have a sizable tv for the days when it rained. Another thing we would have liked to use were bath robes. Other than that it was a wonderful stay. We would definitely recommend this bed and breakfast to our friends and family.
4.6 on August 27, 2012
The hospitality of Katie and Kal at the Old Powder House is extraordianry! Exeriencing historic St. Augustine--being in the center of things--and returning to the comfort and delight of the Garden Room...there's nothing quite like it! Wonderful food, beautiful decor, and a delightful atmosphere...

We stayed at the Miranda Room. We had an interestig time reviewing the historical facts about the Miranda family. We are from Cuba and that made it so much more interesting.
3.6 on August 19, 2012
The location of this inn was perfect for going about on foot. Being an old house & the location of our room, about 20 feet from the road, it was a little noisier than we would have liked. Breakfast was at 8:45. The food was very good but we are used to eating a little earlier. I'm sure the night owl guests were pleased with the time though.

I traveled to St. Augustine for my birthday weekend, and I stayed at the Old Powder House Inn. The Garden room was wonderful. So beautiful and cozy! The breakfasts were amazing! Eggs benedict on Saturday and a special egg souffle on Sunday! My son and his friend stayed at another location, but Katie invited them to join us for Sunday breakfast. Then she asked everyone to sing to me for my birthday! I was so touched at her thoughtfulness and generosity. Thank you for making me feel so pampered on my birthday! I will be back for the festival of lights in December. Pattie

What a wonderful setting and locaion for a B & B. The location was absolutely perfect....everything within walking distance. Our room over looked historic Cordova Street where we had the opportunity to watch the horse drawn carriages go by and listen to the wonderful stories of old St. Augustine. A great weekend.....Don and Cathy, Pensacola, FL

Staying at the Old Powder House Inn made staying in one of my favorite cities even more enjoyable. The inn is within walking distance of the entire historic area which includes dining, shopping and attractions. The room was extremely clean and felt both luxurious and like being at home. Breakfast was delicious and filling including fruit, homemade muffins and a unique main item each morning. It felt private but was also fun to share in others adventures when seated for breakfast. This was my first visit to a b&b and it was a wonderful experience. I would highly recommend this inn.

The Old Powder House Inn is a wonderful place to stay. It was the perfect choice for my last minute de-stressing get-away. A very charming and well kept inn with delicious homemade breakfasts and personable hosts. My room was nicely decorated, had a very comfortable bed and was exceptionally clean. It is conveniently located within walking distance to everything in the historic district and the on-site parking is a nice bonus. Many thanks to Katie & Kal for a most enjoyable, relaxing stay. I will definitely be returning to your beautiful inn!

This B&B is nicely located. We were able to park our car and not touch it for two days! All points of interest were within easy walking distance. The room was nicely appointed, clean, and airy. Breakfast was well done, but I would have liked more flexibility with the time. 8:45am was the stated time, but one morning we thought we were early, but service had already begun. Overall, a nice place and I would stay there again.

Rooms were clean and was located in the heart of the historic district. No need to drive anywhere. The owners were very friendly and accommodating. We were there in the middle of summer and the outdoor porches could have used some ceiling fans. Breakfast was very good but only offered 1 entree each day and a specific dinning time of 8:45 AM.

We love the OPH. How do I love thee? Let me count the ways. We love the beautiful turn-of-the-century architecture, the detailed decorations, the luxurious amenities, the delicious breakfasts, the perfect location in Historic St. Augustine, the cordial and welcoming personalities of Katie and Kal. Its an exceptional package. Could not ask for more. We'll will most definitely return. Hmmm, how about next week?

Our stay at the Old Powderhouse Inn was superb! Katie and Kal are inkeepers extraordinare. They take the time to get to know all their guests and make the entire stay so personal you leave feeling like it was home. The accommodations were "squeeky clean" - Andrea does a great job. The breakfasts were so good, and so filling. You are never rushed to leave the dining room - we lingered over coffee and conversation at least for an hour each morning. We will be going back as often as we find ourselves in the area, and prbably schedule a getaway trip or more to just relax at this very enjoyable B&B. Joe & Ellen Smith

The room was clean, the bed very comfortable and the location of the inn central to all I wanted to do in St. Augustine. The breakfast was particularly delicious and abundant. The only drawback was my inability to access wifi from my room. I had to go to the parlor or the porch which was mildly inconvenient.

This was my wife's and my 1st B&B stay - and we thoroughly enjoyed it! The food and service were excellent. Katie was very welcoming and helpful. The Splendid Time room was clean, comfortable and met our needs almost perfectly (I like to watch the weather channel in the evening, but the TV was a bit too small). We loved having all those windows and the bed was the perfect size for us. And having our own entrance from the porch was a huge plus. We most definitely want to go back, and would certainly recommend the OPH Inn to everyone!

I highly recommend the Old Powder House Inn if you are staying in St. Augustine. It is close to EVERYTHING, the breakfast was awesome. Kat and Kal really went out of their way to make staying at this B&B a great experience.

We enjoyed every aspect of the stay at the Old Powder House Inn. From the welcome reception from Katie to the delicious breakfasts, the OPHI gets 5 Stars.

We came right after Tropical Storm Beryl hit. So the weather wasn't all that great however there is always something to do in St. Augustine. Our room was good. Because this is an older home I'm not used to taking things up a very narrow staircase. The bed was not comfortable and because of that we left a day before we were to leave. However, the breakfast was great and the charm of the place is always nice.

This was our first stay at a B&B, not knowing what to expect, anxiety was thick, but we were welcomed by Kate and immediately felt like we were old friends. Actually taken and shown our room! Left no questions needed to be asked! We were unpacked and ready for our weekend. The B&B is just steps away from everything in the Historic part of town! Kate even arranged a carriage to pick us up at the B&B (a surprise for my wife). The room was full of wonderful history, the bed plush, no need to ask for anything extra everything was already thought of. The second floor porch with ice cold lemonaide swinging on the swing, watching all the tourists go by.. as they looked up at us, you know they were thinking like we have in the past "why did we not stay here!". The breakfast is world class gourmet and the snack left for you during the day are scrumptious! Do not forget after a long day out and about, a cordial of sherry, off to bed to awaken to another relaxed day!

Quaint Old Victorian perfectly located in beautiful St Augustine. Parking was tight so don't bring your gas guzzler. Katie was the perfect host and because of her we will return again and again. Breakfast was superb and it was plain to see, all of the quests were very satisfied. It was the perfect intimate local for our small wedding... Thanks for all your special touches!! We look forward to returning. Al & Janice

I had stayed here last year with my sister-in-law and found it delightful. So my husband and I decided to come back for a couple of days. The Inn is in the heart of St. Augustine and an easy walk to everything - museums, restaurants, the fort, etc.

I'm not really a B&B guy (I tend to be hardwired to stay at places with the words "Holiday" and "Inn" somehwere on the door) but my girlfriend suggested we try this and boy was I glad. Everything was just perfect. Kal and Katie were wonderful hosts, very freindly and welcoming. They provided great advice as to where to visit in St. Augustine and generally made us feel at ease. The room we statyed at (Splendid Time) was great as well. Right at the frint fo the house so we could hear the sounds of the horse carreiges, it was clean and comfortable, with a nice in-suite bathroom and a very nice queen sized bed. Breakfast was a little earlier than we normally got up for but it was worth it. Fresh baked muffins, cereal and fruit, and a very filling main course (we were served an nice egg and salsa patry and a egg casserole during our stay and Katie and Kal made sure to ask if we had dietary requirements) that kept us fueled for a full morning of sight seeing. The best part fo the Old Powder House is the location: central to everything, I didn't have to drive once I got there. This is a great place to stay and we can't wait to return.

St. Augustine is a wonderful city to visit and staying at The Opld Powder House makes our visits more so. The owners Cal and Katie are outstanding. They make you feel part of their extended family. The rooms are comfortable and clean as a pin, with great styling. Being just one block off the main street, the location is perfect. We left our car parked during our stay and visited the Town on foot. By the way, breakfast is outstanding, with fresh, locally grown ingredients. Katie prepares most of the meals, but Cal does step in occasionally with his speciaities.
5 on May 07, 2012
Our second visit to The Old Powder House was as enjoyable as our first. Katie and Kal are very welcoming hosts and provide a quite pleasant ambiance. The breakfasts are second to none, and the rooms are pleasant and comfortable. The location is perfect for enjoying historic St. Augustine; convenient to the entire historic district. This second stay will not be our last. We highly recommend it to all.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, especially the breakfasts which were great. Close to everything...no need to move the car. Like a miracle, our room was cleaned and spruced up while we were at breakfast. Someone must have cruise ship training! Katie and Kal are super hosts. Will definitelly return.

I was in a group of three adults staying in the Garden Room. It was the perfect set-up for us; the "window seat" daybeds in the sunroom were very comfortable for sleeping. We hated to leave the Old Powder House Inn--the location couldn't possibly be more ideal, the courtyard, veranda, and general ambiance were lovely, and breakfast is sensational. Katy and Kal are wonderful, warm, helpful hosts. I would reccommend this lovely inn to anyone!

This was our first visit to a bed and breakfast and it truly exceeded our expectations. We loved being in the heart of old St Augustine within walking distance of everything. We would highly recommend you consider this for your next stay.

This was our first trip to St. Augustine and what a treat. We love staying in B & B's so I did a little internet research and found "The Old Powder House Inn". We enjoyed our stay here very much. The location was within walking distance to everything, and the owners were friendly and very informative on restaurants, etc. We stayed in the Serenity room on the 2nd floor which included a private balcony area. We enjoyed some wine while watching the horse pulled carriages go by. I must mention how great the breakfast is. When we visit St. Augustine we will stay here again.

The Inn-owners were great, very friendly and took the time to sit down with us upon arrival and explain about the inn and St. Augustine (which not all places do). Room was lovely and the bed.. oh my goodness.. was THE most comfortable bed ever!! We slept the best we have in forever! Whatever air freshener they put in the rooms (baby powdery scent) was a tad bit too strong and Grandmother-ish smelling.. but other than that, the room was great. Also, the second floor balcony was just wonderful. We sat and drank coffee and tea, played checkers on the large table, and just watched walkers-by from the swinging chair. As for the breakfast, it was pretty standard. Most people would probably be satisfied enough from it, but we are admittedly quite the foodies (and health-conscious) and found it to be very starch-based, standard American diet and plain. Cereal, fruit, muffin, french toast, and pre-made frozen or refrigerated sausage. We would have preferred more proteins (eggs, meat, cheese?) for our meals, and perhaps more of a culinary, homemade touch rather than prepared cereals and such.. but, that said, the hosts were very hospitable and kind, and the setup was lovely. We will definitely stay here again for a great nights sleep and great atmosphere, but will probably skip the breakfast. :)

My husband & I stayed at the Old Powder House Inn on March 27 for 2 nights. We booked the Enchanted Hideaway. Although it is small, it is great value for the money, especially when you are only going to be in the room to sleep! The decor is very appropriate, it really does have a cottage feel to it & there is no TV, but who needs it? As mentioned in other reviews, the bathroom is tiny, but spotless. It has a corner shower (no tub) so I would not recommend it for those with mobility issues or large people. We enjoyed having our own entrance at the rear, but the lock needs attention as it sticks & the air conditioner should be sealed better. The best thing about this place, besides the location and the hosts who are both friendly & outgoing, is the breakfast! It includes fresh fruit, their own special cereal, OJ, coffee, home-made muffins straight from the oven & an entree. We had Kal's speciality, spanish eggs, the first day & eggs benedict the second day. On check in we were asked about dietary requirements & I noted that my eggs need to be well-done & was impressed that my poached ones actually were. When in St. Augustine be sure to visit the Pirate Museum - you won't regret it!

We stayed two nights at the Old Powder House Inn. The Inn was right in the middle of historic St. Augustine so walking was easy! Our innkeepers were most hospitable, the room was beautiful and clean. There were great porches to sit on both downstairs and up and breakfast was delicious, complete with mimosas on Sunday morning! I'd highly recommend this inn to anyone wanting a convenient place to stay in this wonderful town!

We had a great time in St Augustine, what an awesome city! But, we were on a getaway from our busy lives and our children. When I am spending the kind of money I am at a B&B, I feel I should not be told I have to be at breakfast at 8:45am, no exceptions. We thought we would be able to sleep in at a B&B until at the earliest 10am breakfast. But, the food was good. I guess my wife and I are going to need to open a bed and brunch for those of us that are on a retreat to get some much needed rest!

This was our first experience staying in a B&B, we'd always stay at a hotel outside of St. Augustine because typically B&B's are expensive. So we thought we'd give it a try and we we're pleasently surprised with The Powderhouse Inn. The room we stayed in was the Serenity Hideaway which was the smallest room, however my husband and I are used to traveling in Europe where most rooms are small so it didn't bother us a bit. I think it's the best room because it's very quiet being that it sits in the back of the house and it's away from the noisey streets in which the other rooms face. It's evident that the Innkeepers take great pride in keeping the rooms very clean and they are decorated so lovely. Their's a skylight in the ceiling of this particular room so I recommend you bring a eye mask to cover your eyes ,especially if you like it dark in the morning. I would definitely stay here again and I recommend this particular room to couples and singles. Breakfast was good but it's not a lot of food and it's served only at 8:45 a.m. so if you're not a morning person, I recommend you consider this when booking a B&B because it's part of the experience. St. Augustine is a charming and a beautiful town, we particularly enjoyed the mornings when no one is around and it's quiet. Overall, we had a great time and we highly recommend The Powder House Inn!

My husband and I had a wonderful time at The Old Powder House Inn! We wanted a place to stay in the midst of old downtown St. Augustine. Our room, Serenity, was perfect for us. We loved having access to the veranda and enjoyed our happy hour soaking up the ambiance in the heart of town; watching the people come and go at a nearby restaurant and watching the people in their horse drawn carriages. Breakfast was fantasic, the best breakfast I have ever had! Their homemade cereal was delicious along with the french toast, muffins & Mimosa's!! One of the best parts of our stay was that we were able to park our car and walk every where we wanted to go. We did not get in the car once during our entire stay at the Inn. My husband said it was the best Birthday weekend he has ever had!!

I would definitely recommend the Old Powder House to anyone looking for a B&B in St. Augustine. Katy and Kal (the Innkeepers) were very warm and friendly. They did everything possible to make sure our stay was enjoyable and memorable. The only negative was that although the Grace Darling room where we stayed was very nice, it was smaller and less luxurious than I expected. We paid what I consider a premium price for the was is (presumably) the best room in the inn, but it did not seem "premium". Perhaps the other rooms were a better value.

Wanted to get away for a relaxing weekend in St. Augustine, with no real agenda. Without the kids, decided to try a bed & breakfast. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and were relaxed & pleased with the quaintness of the room & the exceptional customer service & attention to our needs. Loved the ability to park on Friday in the back and not touch the car till Sunday. We were able to walk everywhere! Thanks for a memorable visit, we will be back! (Couple aged 25-35, Orlando, FL)

Very nice Bed and Breakfast in St. Augustine. We were only there for one night, but wished we could have stayed longer. The bed was fantastically comfortable!! The service was exceptional. The only thing I didn't love about it was that our room was on the bottom floor by the landing and we could hear people out on the porch and coming and going early in the morning.
3.4 on December 20, 2011
I love everything about the Old Powder House Inn except for two important things. The first one is that I stayed in the Queen Anne's Lace room in which the bathroom was separated from the bedroom by only a flimsy louvered door. Though visually separated, the sounds and smells of the bathroom were literally a part of the bedroom. My wife and I actually had to leave the room in order to give the other some privacy, but the smells remained due to poor ventilation. Also, Cordova street is very loud, so sleeping was not uninterrupted. I hate to write this because the house and hosts are phenomenal! Simply the best people, ever. Perhaps other rooms have better separation of facilities, but I only know my own experience.
4.8 on December 15, 2011
We loved our room! We stayed in the Grace Darling Room, it has a private entrance near the parking area. The room is laid out perfectly, the fireplace helps for the cold nights and adds to the romance of this room. This room is perfect for anyone who wants to reconnect with their significant other. No TV, the jacuzzi tub is located in the bedroom area, there is a separate bathroom that contains a shower. Our couple days there were very rainy, so we spent a lot of time in our room. Every morning Katy & Kal make a fresh healthy breakfast, our first morning we were served French toast stuffed with cream cheese, pineapple & apricot (I think). Our stay was very memorable, we will definitely return! :)

Great place to stay and close to Old City and restaurants. The room we stayed at was called "Enchanted Hideaway". This room is in the back of the house . This room is perfect if you don't like the noise coming out from across the street, "the Tasting Room to go" has a live band on Thursday night and it can get a little loud. It also blocks the traffic noise. On the "con" side; this room is very small, the bathroom and especially the shower are not designed for a "full figure" person, lucky for me I'm a small guy and so is my wife. The breakfast creations are great, overall service; great!

The Old Powder House Inn was wonderful. The Miranda room was very nice. The two breakfasts (one made by Kal and one made by Katie) were delicious! The inn is conveniently located to all areas of downtown and I highly recommend it to anyone wanting to visit St. Augustine!

We had a pretty pleasant stay at this Inn (Miranda Room). The room was clean and neat, the property was very nice as well. The best parts are the breakfast (it was delicious) and the location (you are in the heart of the old town)! Overall, however, i think the stay was a little pricey for what you get-we stayed on the night from Sat to Sun and paid $214 (taxes included) just to sleep in the room and wake up to a pretty good breakfast; the rest of the time0 we spent walking around and enjoying the town.

My husband and I spent one night at The Old Powder House Inn. We would highly recommend to anyone looking for a Bed and Breakfast in St. Augustine. We were told we had the smallest room there. It was beautiful, cozy, very clean and we would definately choose that room again. The atmosphere was breathtaking. The breakfast was delicious. The lemonade and cookies were scrumptious. You could never find nicer, friendlier Innkeepers anywhere. If we ever get a night away from our children again, we will definately pack our bag, leave Ga. and head to St. Augustine to the Old Powder House Inn.

My wife and I were is Saint Augustine for our first visit to the historical city. The Old Powder House Inn was in the central location with the historical districts within walking distance. Resturants were easy to find and the Inn was exactly what we required. Katie & Kal were most helpful and hospitable. Saint Augustine was our first stop for a couple of days than we went to St Simons for the remainder of our trip. Great place!

My husband and I have made day trips to St Augustine 2-3 times a year for many years, but this is the first time we stayed overnight. This beautiful Bed and Breakfast is just wonderful. We were warmly welcomed by Katie and spent a beautiful weekend that was just made even better by the Kalietas hospitality. We stayed in the Serenity Room, on the second floor surrounded by leafy trees. We even had a small table and chairs reserved just for us on the porch so we could "people watch". Yes, we will stay there again. The Old Powder House in is just a half block or so from great restaurants and the old city. We were able to park our car on Friday evening when we arrived, and didnt have to touch it until it was time to leave. This is a wonderful place to stay if you want to avoid that touristy feeling. We plan on returning at least once a year. And, to top off a great place, breakfasts were delicious!

We had a wonderful time staying at The Old Powder House Inn. Our "Splendid Room" was just that! Very clean, superior service, delicious breakfast every morning and just perfectly located!! Walking distance from a majority of the sites and the trolley took us where we couldn't walk so we didn't have to move our car. We will definitely stay there again & again!!

This was a fantastic B&B. We have stayed in 4 different ones in St. Augustine and this is by far the best. The innkeepers are very friendly and helpful, the staff keeps the place spotless and the location so close to the old, downtown amenities means you park your car when you get there and shouldn't need to drive it again until it's time to leave. The price, location and fabulous food make this a must stay for anyone visiting St Augustine or (like us) has a child in school at Flagler College. It's only a block away!

We had a lovely one night, mid-week getaway! Inn is in a great location. Room was beautiful and the bed was very comfortable, which is saying a lot since I was 9 months pregnant! Breakfast was delicious and Katie & Kal were very hospitable hosts.

We stayed for the 4th of July. Room was clean and ready when we checked in. We missed breakfast because the alarm did not go off on our phone for unknown reasons...I had looked forward to the breakfast too. We only stayed one night. Check out was very easy-just turn in the key. Only complaint is parking area is very small. We were afraid the car might be hit, but luckily that didn't occur!

Excellent location to historic downtown. Two great resturants just across the street. Service was great. Katie and Kal were friendly and great host. Breakfast was perfect. Outstanding quality and quanity.

Barely blocks from most landmarks in the city we were blown away by the service, the room, the breakfast and the balcony. Better than any chain hotel experience I have had in years. We will be returning.

Location is great. Wonderful place from which to walk everywhere in St. Augustine.
3.2 on June 29, 2011
enjoyed our stay and it was very convenient to all the places you want to be in st. augustine. 5 min walk got you to the main scene there. our room and bathroom were spotless and very comfortable for the night. our room was right on the street, and was very quiet during the night. the only reason i gave the dining a below average rating was because of the time they do breakfast. it is at 8:45am and as i found out too late it was the only sitting, and we were not up in time to enjoy it. that time of morning is a bit early for us. i wish instead of one seating they would have a time period that guests could come in for breakfast.
3.8 on June 25, 2011
Katie & Kal & staff were excellent. They truly made our special occasion memorable. My wife was in tears upon arrival as she is from another time & place where Victorian rules. They had that "I can arrange that, attitude." The breakfast was excellent and the accomodations were truly Victorian. We will be back and tell our friends & family. Our only negative was the horse and carriage ride on our anniversary night. That had nothing to do with Katie & Kal.The horse had new shoes and a new bit and was unruly. Our drinks were spilled all over us and we had to throw them out because of being jostled back & forth. The girl was nice and informative, but our ride was shortened because of the horse behavior. That horse shouldn't have been sent out on a "peaceful" carriage ride. Overall, St Augustine was beautiful and we will be back.

The reason I chose "Met my expectations is that we have stayed with Katie & Cal twice before and knew what great things to expect.

This was our first visit to the Old Powder House Inn, but I'll be surprised if it's our last. We had the smallest room and absolutely loved it. If you visit St. Augustine so that you can tour the city, this is a perfect place to stay - easy walking distance to almost everything!
4.8 on June 20, 2011
Great location just two blocks from St. George Street, one can easily walk everywhere. Discounts for older guests and military (includes retirees) add value. Breakfast offerings change daily, are delightful, and somewhat on the "too much" end of the food scale - makes it harder to enjoy all the great opportunities in St. Augustine (but what the heck, you're on vacation). We will definitely return. Saw many other places not as well positioned or without on site parking which is a huge benefit there.

Simply put, Our stay exceeded our expectations and was the most romantic getaways possible. We stayed in the Grace Darling Room. I would highly recommend the powder house B&B to family and friends as I would also recommend the Collage Resturant and the private horse and carraige ride in the evening, with a bottle of wine. The best Vacation ever. Thank you Katie and Kal,your hospitality will be remembered forever! Yours Truly, Cleo & Cathy

3.0 on May 20, 2011
We enjoyed the location, price and laid back atmosphere. My recommendation is that this BB purchase a small ice machine in case you are looking for some ice late at night or in the early hours of the morning. The owners did tell me that ice was available and I just had to ask for it. However, what if you don't feel comfortable waking up the owners at a inconveinent time. Otherwise, this was a positive experience overall.
5 on May 18, 2011
We celebrated a special anniversary here and would do it again. The innkeepers shared their enthusiasm and expertise about the city as well as helped us get tour tickets, restaurant reservations etc. There is excellent eating and sightseeing within the immediate area and a shuttle stop at the end of the block for easy access to everything else.

Beautiful stay in a beautiful city! The Old Power House Inn was exactly what I expected it to be, full of charm, warmth, and romantic. The breakfast every morning was superb! The inn keepers also made you feel very welcomed and made the experience one I'll never forget.

Stayed in the Enchanted Cottage room with a girlfriend for our Girl's Weekend Away. The room, while small, is still a decent size and has its own private porch which more than makes up for any possible downside. The bathroom was a good sized and included all the basic amenities. This being a weekend getaway we didn't spend much time in the room anyway. Breakfast was delicious and since I don't eat pork was treated to my own mini quiche that was beyond amazing. Add that to the mimosas(a treat for Sundays), the cream filled peach starter, custom cereal and muffins, and fresh coffee. The owners were very friendly and made you feel like you're at home(or better than at home). I will definitely be back and I cannot wait to do so!!!

My boyfriend and I wanted to get away from the everyday stress of life. We were recommended the Old Powder House by a friend of mine. We both loved it and couldn't believe how welcome we felt. I felt as if was staying with family because the owners made us feel so at home. It was a great way to get closer to one another. We stayed in the cozy Garden room and loved how clean and welcoming it was. I would highly recommend this inn to anyone who wants to escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. It was so close to everything too! We could walk everywhere!

Our stay at The Old Powder House Inn in Saint Augustine was delightful. The Inn is beautiful, and the location is perfect. It's right in the historic downtown district, which makes walking the beautiful city easy and convenient. We are already talking about making another trip to The Old Powder House Inn next year.

We just got back from spending our honeymoon here. We stayed in the room Splendid Time and it was wonderful! The room was very comfortable and my husband was surprised that with it being an older house that it had great water pressure and the water was always hot. The ambiance of it all made it so peaceful and relaxing. We so enjoyed the cookies, coffee and cordials every afternoon when we got back from shopping and looking around. It is located in the perfect spot close to everything, but on a nice quiet peaceful street where you can sit on the porch and just relax. We loved the breakfast each day and their cereal blend is to die for! Katie and Kal are great and we looked forward to seeing what amazing entree they had for breakfast. If you are looking for a unique, fun, peaceful and romantic place you found it! We will definitely go back!

We took the smallest economical room but were pleasantly surprised that it was more spacious and comfortable than expected. It was adorably decorated, true to its theme and had all the amenities needed. Very fancy setting for breakfast. Great location to walk anywhere in historic area.
4.4 on April 07, 2011
We really enjoyed our weekend in this room. The balcony table and chairs outside our room were reserved just for us and we spent much time sitting outdoors just enjoying the view of the horse and carriages. The room had wonderful windows that let in an abundance of light. And the bed was awesome. Extremely fluffy and very comfortable. We also enjoyed use of the coffee maker and wet bar. And we kept our leftovers in the mini fridge to be eaten as late night snacks. The only drawbacks about this room would be the level of noise coming from the street at night. Lots of walking traffic that sometimes got a little loud. Even at 2:30 in the morning. But even still, we enjoyed this room very much. Breakfast at 8:45 was good for us. I was expecting more of a variety since we were staying for three breakfasts, but every morning we were served cereal, fresh fruit, muffins, OJ, and an egg dish. The fruit changed each day and the muffin flavor changed, but the cereal was the same. As a gourmet cook myself, I was expecting more creative dishes. But granted, it was all very tasty. All in all, we had a wonderful stay. And we would do it again!

A very nice B&B with friendly and helpful hostess, very good 8:45am breakfast and efficient accomodations. We stayed in the small private space outside the main house expecting it to be small and quiet and it was quite small and very quiet. The rooms we saw in the main house were larger and nicely appointed. There is a delightful upstairs deck to sit and watch the people go by. Definitely a recommended place to stay.

We chose the "smallest" room with a private terrace for its excellent value. The room was immaculate, effectively furnished, with a new bath, and a private entrance and patio. Our hosts spoiled us with wine, wonderful food and recommendations for dinner. The location is perfect, in the old town, yet quiet.

My Husband and I recently stayed for a long weekend. The innkeepers, Katie and Kal were absolutely the wonderful. Be ready to experience very kind hospitality! We stayed in The Memories room. It was undoubtedly one of the cleanest rooms I have ever stayed in. Our daily breakfast was fresh and delicious each day. The location of the Inn is convenient to everything and if you need/want to go anywhere Katie and Kal are happy to arrange any tickets or vehicles. This is a wonderful Inn to relax as it is very quite. We would absolutely will be back to visit and hope to see you there are well!

We stayed Thursday night before New Year's Eve. My husband was a skeptic of the B&B experience, but after our night at The Old Powder House Inn, he has changed his tune! We will come back for hopefully a longer stay. The room was clean, the food was very good.

Had a fire alarm in the room beep all night the first night; this was due to low batteries. After it was fixed the next morning, we had no other problems with it. This B&B is in a prime location in downtown St Augustine. You could stay there a full week, eating out every meal, and still not go to the same restaurant -- all within 8 blocks of the property.

The bed was extremely soft and uncomfortable. The bathroom weas very small and only one person could be in it at a time. The shower head was way to high and could not be moved so I could not avoid gettin my hair wet inless I stepped out of the tub and got in at the other end. Also the sink did not drain properly. The inn keepers were nice, but I did not feel overly comfortable with them.
3.8 on December 12, 2010
We have only stayed twice at B & B's, so do not have a lot of experience for comparison. However, we did enjoy our stay. We chose the cheapest room, as we were only staying one night. It was a spotless room, but smaller than anticipated. The welcome and orientation by the inn owner was very informative. The breakfast was delicious and presented well in a very cozy dining room.

Katie and her husband who are the owners were very nice. Katie went out of her way to make reservations for us at restaurants and set up carriage rides. The place is right downtown and within walking distance to everything. The hosts are very friendly; they made us feel more like family than guests at B&B. The only negative was we stayed in one of the rooms on the street and we could hear noise from outside pretty late into the night. Recommend you pick a room not directly on the street. Other than that, we had a great experience.

After 2 recents stays at the Old Powder House, I rate it very highly. The reason we returned was mostly for the location, value and the hospitality. The rooms are a bit small but I think that goes with the territory of old victorian homes. The location is smack dab in the middle of old town within walking distance to most of the attractions in town including our son's dorm at Flagler College:) The breakfasts prepared by Katie and Kal are very tasty. (My only suggestion would be for them to include more fresh fruit, not canned.) All in all, St. Augustine is our favorite little vacation spot thanks to the B&B's such as the Powder House.
4.6 on September 03, 2010
My best friend and I took a girls trip and chose to stay at the old powder house because of the great price and great reviews I read. What a great decision! The inn is lovely and relaxing! The staff are sweet as pie, the rooms super comfy, and the complimentary sherry is divine! We were even surprised with a free upgrade! I plan on returning soon with my mother and neice. I may even succeed in talking my husband into a visit! 5 stars and two thumbs up!

Breakfast was a significant disappointment, and nothing like the sumptuous "gourmet" breakfast described and depicted on their website. The inn is very well located (and close to good sites for delicious food). The room was clean and comfortable but dried and plastic foliage detracted from the decor.

Our stay proved to be even more than expected. Great city, great sightseeing and the Old Powder House Inn was a delightful beginning to the day (with great food) and a quiet and relaxing finish to a long day of sun and sightseeing. Katie and Kal truly went out of their way to make our stay special. We stayed 7 nights and had the pleasure of having a different breakfast everyday. We would/will recommend it to everyone that will listen. Thanks Katie & Kal, we won't forget our stay.

The front room was very nice but a bit stuffy. Air conditioner was not working well. In cooler months it's perfect but not in 98 weather. Otherwise a comfortable and enjoyable place to stay. Weekdays are more reasonable and worth the price. Close to everything is a big plus. The horse and carriage drive right past the house. Nice.

We decided on the spur of the moment to go to St. Augustine. We were lucky to find the Old Powder House Inn. Our stay at the Inn made it a most wonderful weekend. Katie outdid herself with hospitality, breakfast and with her congenial manner! We woul definitely stay there again.

As first time B&Bers The Old Powder House was a perfect match! Joined by our best friends we spent 3 nights at the Inn. We celebrated my sweet husband's 60th birthday during our stay and Miss Katie put a candle in the delicious eggs benedict while our fellow B&Bers sang Happy Birthday! Attention to every detail- thoughtful decor- impeccably clean- these are all signatures of the Inn, yes, however what I take away is a feeling. While exploring the educational city of St. Augustine you feel at home grounded, if you will, by the Inn. The Serenity Room located on the 2nd floor facing Cordova St. is the best the Inn has to offer; in my opinion. Thanks Katie & Kal we look forward to seeing you again if you'll have us!!!

The warmth and hospitality of of Katie and Kal is one reason to keep visiting this wonderful inn, year after year. We loved staying in the second floor in the Miranda room during our recent visit. Staying here is like visiting dear friends. The attention to detail is everywhere; from the Victorian decor to the amazing breakfasts. Our favorite dish: the cream filled french toast. Simply stated: if you haven't stayed at this inn, what are you waiting for? I's the finest B&B in St. Augustine.

My husband and I stayed at the Old Powered House for 4 day/3 nights for our honeymoon and it could not have been any better. The Inn is exquisite and its history and beauty are not nearly as evident on the website as they are in person. Katie and Kal should be voted #1 Innkeeper in St. Augustine as they are extremely hospitably, gracious and their welcoming manner will just draw you in. We will NEVER forget our honeymoon stay and will be going back each year to celebrate our anniversary at their INN.
5 on March 10, 2010
I just have to say I was very happy with our stay at the Old Powder House Inn. Katie and Kal were both very friendly, and very good with our granddaughter who stayed with us. The location is so close to Old City St Augustine, you can walk anywhere you want to go. The room was beautiful and well cared for. The rest of the house as well was very beautiful and the breakfast was excellent. We will definitely get back there asap.

Katie as an exceptional hostess. Upgraded our room for us at a minimal charge. Went out of her way to accomodate anyone's special requests.

My previous experience with B&B's has all been in Vermont, which were all wonderful. I and two friends booked this Inn based upon reviewing information online. We planned a fun trip to St. Augustine and wanted to treat ourselves. The Inn is perfectly located in the Historic District for site seeing. The inn advertised gracious hospitality, which we found nonexistant. I was told we could park onsite and leave the car at the inn, even though we had not checked in yet. Upon arrival, at 3pm, we parked and rang the bell to let the innkeepers know our car was in the back. The reception we received from Katie was "You're early, I'm not ready for you yet." What a first impression. We did not meet Kal until the next morning at breakfast. He has a delightful way about him. Unfortunately, our contact with him was limited. Another writer had stated they received assistance with their luggage. We struggled up the narrow, difficult staircase by ourselves. We stayed in the Garden Room. The Inn's website portrayed this as great accommodations for a girl's getaway. I and another friend slept on the window seat beds on the porch. These beds were physically uncomfortable, along with the rest of the Inn. The porch beds consisted of a twin mattress on top of plywood. The Victorian surroundings are not conducive to relaxation. We had three wrought iron chairs in the room. It was so bad when we went out to dine I refused to sit at the wrought iron chair at the restaurant. During the three day stay we did not experience the hospitality/service as advertised and expected. We felt like we were an intrusion on Katie's life. Kal and Katie have been running the Inn for ten years. Maybe she is burnt out. I could go on further, but I just wanted readers to be aware. For the room charge you can do much better somewhere else.

Saint Augustine is a great walking city, and The Old Powder House could not be more perfectly postitioned! From the warm welcome of Katie to fresh cookies and hot tea, arrival and recommendations were just wonderful. A well-appointed room, great linens and worlds of sunshine highlight the spirit. It was a bit too cool to enjoy the porch and gardens, but we know they had much to offer. Thumbs Up and perfect location!

We love the Old Powder House!! We've stayed there several times & love it. The breakfasts are delicious and the rooms comfortable and clean. The best part is the innkeepers, Katie & Kal. The go out of their way to make your stay the best. We always feel like we are visiting family when we stay there. Excellent bed and breakfast!!

This was our first B&B stay and we couldn't have picked a better one! Katie was a charming hostess and made us feel right at home. The decor and comfort were wonderful and I don't have room to praise the marvelous food! This was our first B&B stay and it won't be our last to the Old Powder House Inn!

Thank you Katie for making our stay at the Powder House Inn a very nice experience. You made us feel at home in your delightful Inn. The food is excellent, and it's presented picture perfect. I highly recommend the Powder House Inn. Parker and Sally from Melbourne Fl.

This B&B was the loveliest we've stayed in yet. Location, charm, warmth and comfort. Our innkeepers were so friendly and helpful. They created an atmosphere that was beautiful and wonderful. We'd like to return. This B&B was a big part of our lovely experience.

We have stayed at the Old Powder House Inn 4 times and each time has been a time to remember for the rest of our lives; Katie & Kal are the most gracious hosts we've ever met. The breakfasts are outstanding.

My wife and I are abusers of Bed and Breakfasts! Sneaking away from our daily lives every chance we get. We would selectively stalk our prey, sneaking in and out at our pleasure. Moving from B &B to B & B Performing drive by’s to seek our delight. We were good at what we did, so we never got caught. Always moving on to the next unsuspecting victim. Until the day we were caught! That day started out just like all the other hits we had performed. Then we came across The Old Powder House Inn. We were no match for the inn keepers there (Kal & Katie) as they call themselves. By the time we had finished checking in our hearts had been arrested by those two notorious sidewinders. Their sweet disposition grabs hold of you. Then you move in to the choice rooms, taken back in time to a place where charm visited every home. This old house with its seductive charm and marvelous staff has ended our search for the perfect Bed & Breakfast. We have been prisoners of paradise since that fateful day! We have tried no less than ten B & B’s in St. Augustine and having tried rest we have ended our search with the Best! We Highly recommend this Bed & Breakfast to you!!!!!!!! Lee & Tiffany Miller P.S Memories is our favorite and Grace Darling a close second

Our room was perfectly named -- it was pure "Serenity". Our host & hostess ensured we enjoyed every possible indulgence -- from gourmet breakfast to a heavenly soft bed. A wonderfully relaxing vacation!

My girlfriend and I just stayed here for the weekend. We enjoyed our entire stay. The house is preserved exactly as you would expect to have seen it 100 years ago, but still has completly modern ammenities. Katie and Kal were incredible hosts. They both went to great lengths to accomodate any needs we had, and took a lot of extra effort to make sure we didnt just enjoy our stay in the inn, but in St. Augustine as well. Resturant recomendations/reservations, directions, tips on where to go, where no to go. I would recommend this inn for anyone coming into town.

We've had two stayed at the inn. The rooms are beautifully decorated. Every comfort in mind. The breakfast makes you feel so pampered. Delicious and elegant, but Katie and Kal make you so welcome like family, the inn comes with hugs. they have thought of everything.

Everything about the Old Powder Inn was perfect. Katie and Kal made us feel like friends. Beautiful room and breakfast was superb. Will stay again.

My husband and I were thrilled to find a B&B who would take our reservation for one night on a weekend and ended up with the best room in the house. It was lovely, HUGE, and very quiet. We loved how old the house was--so much history. Our innkeepers were very gracious and helpful and we had a great time. Breakfast was delicious. St. Augustine is a romantic place to visit -- especially without the kids in tow. We plan to tell all our friends about our trip and plan to return to Old Powder House Inn very soon! The Old Powder House is by far the best B&B in St. Augustine. My boyfriend and I love to visit St Augustine and when we do one of our favorite things to do is stay at The Old Powder House Inn. Katie is so nice and accommodating! The rooms are beautifully decorated and each one has it's own theme and amenities. My personal favorite is The Grace Darling room. This room is perfect for the couple who loves to be pampered. The jacuzzi tub is wonderful to soak in with a glass of wine and the gas fireplace is perfect for those cold nights or just snuggling up together! The gourmet breakfast is always deliciously wonderful. We have had the pleasure of trying the stuffed french toast (my boyfriends favorite), eggs-benedict, and egg dish. Mimosas are even served! We have stayed at other B&B's in St Augustine and no one can compare to the wonderful atmosphere, delicious breakfast and the excellent service we receive at The Old Powder House Inn.

Just spent the weekend at The Old Powder House Inn and had a very relaxing time. I loved the fact that I could walk out of our room "The Serenity" and be on the 2nd floor porch. This was the cleanest B&B I have ever stayed in. Breakfast was very good along with a beautiful presentation. We will definitely return for another stay.

We have stayed at The Old Powder House several times, each time is better than the last. We always stay in the Serenity room, I just love all of the windows and the sounds of the horses passing by. Katie & Kal make you feel as though you are returning home for a visit. The breakfast are always amazing, we have never had the same thing twice. And the cookies/brownies are to die for. At our last visit Katie even made us a goody bag of cookies to take for our ride home. They truely treat you as though your are family. The only bad part about staying at The Old Powder House, is having to leave it.

The innkeepers treated us like family. We had a great time, the food was wonderful, and our room was very cozy. And had lots of charm. We won't forget the time on the front porch swing.

We love the Old Powder House Inn! We have been visiting this Inn for 10 years. One thing that sets this Inn apart are its owners, Katie and Kal! They are the warmest, friendliest Innkeepers we have come across in all our travels. They will do what it takes to make your stay enjoyable, romantic, and as memorable as possible. We have stayed at countless Inns, Condos, Hotels, and B&B's and we always return to the Powder House. Its within walking distance of St. George St, Flagler Collage, and the Castillo de San Marcos. If you don't believe me, read one of the many diaries from the rooms at the Inn. Nearly every guest rants and raves about their stays. Katie and Kal care for their guests and love getting to know each and every one, which probably explains why they get so many repeat customers and friends! I cannot think of a single reason why anyone would not like the OId Powder House Inn. We have suggested this Inn to family and friends, and all have enjoyed their stay. I want it to be clear that this is not a hotel! This is a 110 year old B&B that is quiet and quaint, and caters to relaxation and romance. You will not find heart shaped hot tubs, a velvet Elvis, or beds that take quarters! This is a classic Inn with classic charm and character! Katie’s breakfasts are out of this world, her muffins make you weak in the knees, but don't ask for her cereal recipe ....I've been trying for 10 years and she will not share the secret! During breakfast, guests talk and share stories about who they are, where they're from and what they've done during their stay. My wife and I love the Powder House Inn and we will return as long as Katie and Kal will have us, but should they leave I don't know were we'll go because we have yet to find a couple as open, caring, friendly, and hospitable as these two wonderful people. Do yourself a favor and try the Old Powder House Inn, you'll enjoy yourself, we have!

The Inn is centrally located to downtown, but it is not disability friendly. If you have any mobility issues, please look elsewhere. If you use a wheelchair, don't even give this place a second thought. And please don't believe the innkeepers, if they tell you otherwise. Our room was clean and well-maintained, but small- maybe 300 square feet? The layout was odd- I have never stayed in a room with the bathtub in the bedroom. Given the small amount of space, having the huge tub in the middle of the room seemed strange. The food was okay- the "special cereal" was nice. Other than that, no overwhelming "gourmet" dishes- just the run-of-the-mill breakfast things (fruit and an egg dish). Most notably, for us, we found the innkeeper to be intrusive and pushy. There was a lengthy list of rules that we had to "sit down and review" before we were shown our room. We were questioned about our jobs- when we were on vacation to avoid thinking about our jobs! During the morning breakfast, we were also encouraged to socialize with nearby couples- when we would prefer to enjoy a quiet breakfast. Compared to other B&B's and Inns, we felt there was limited privacy, too many rules and that we were being watched by an over-zealous parent figure. I wish we had the same experience as other reviewers, but given our experience we will never go back and we will not reccommend the place to friends.

Whether it is a romantic weekend, a girls weekend or just time to get away... this is the place. We have stayed multiple times, and every time the service is excellent, the staff are awesome and loving, the food... supureb! and the rooms are a dream come true. The balcony view is amazing. This is the best bed and breakfast in St. Augustine. Katie and Kal never forget a face or a name! Here, the best thing, we are walking distance to everything. I love this place!

We stayed at this B&B over memorial day weekend, so the prices were expensive in all B&B's. Our room was very small which we knew ahead of time. It was quaint and very tidy. The inn was charming and had a wonderful location relative to the main attractions. We had a very nice time.

After a warm welcome from "mine host" the rooms were clean comfomfortable and quiet and so tastefully decorated. Complimentary wine on the porch, helpful suggestions for dinner venues and introductions to other guests made this a home from home. Pre breakfast coffee/tea and an excellent meal set us up for the morning. The new owners have a tough act to follow.

If you stay at the Old Powder House Inn in St. Augustine, you MUST sample the delicatable treats made by the onsite baker Nicole Muro. Her exquisite TLC imbues each cookie, muffin, or sweet treat with sheer culunairy excellence. Quite frankly, you have never had a muffin until you have tasted one of Ms. Muro's. Bon Appetite!!!!
