We had a wonderful time, staying at a b&b instead of a hotel made our experience in st. Augustine so much nicer. Within walking distance to everything, staff was friendly, and the breakfasts were delicious. The evening snack of wine, cheese and crackers was a really great extra we loved.

Richard was the perfect host seeing to our every need. Breakfasts were served indoors and out and were always cooked to perfection. We enjoyed hos d oeuvres at four every afternoon and a sweet cake when we came in in the evening. Oh, I almost forgot there's Sherry in your room and complimentary water. We have already made reservations for November.

Great location just off the beaten path in St. Augustine. The house is heavily decorated, it felt a little claustrophobic to me. The bed was comfy, room was clean, heat worked well (it was very cold the weekend we were there.) Innkeepers were friendly, food was pretty good. Coffee wasn't so great, but we are pretty picky about our coffee. Happy Hour snacks were OK. For the price we paid I expected a bit higher quality. A decent place for sure but definitely not high-end.

This was our 3rd 4th of July staying with Dave and Marie at Penny Farthing. We stayed in the lovely Victoria room, which has a large private balcony overlooking Cedar St. As always Dave and Marie were wonderful hosts! Penny Farthing has become a family 4th of July tradition. Our reservations for 2017 have already been made.

Cedar street is the place to stay when visiting St. Augustine. Near everything but also homey. Nice place with friendly staff. Great breakfast. Bathroom with baby claw tub shower is only drawback. A little difficult to maneuver but otherwise we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Visited this B&B while attending the annual B&B Christmas tour. The accommodation s were reasonable and the breakfasts were enjoyable. The service was very accomodating. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

This was my 2nd stay at Penny Farthing. Great rooms, great food. I will, of course, stay here again!

We are always on the lookout for places that offer more than a chain hotel or motel. The Penny Farthing Inn certainly does this. Greeted by the ebullient Marie, and when she left for a trip home to Yorkshire, looked after by her lovely daughter, this place graciously defies the anonymity of many hotels and inns. We felt welcome and comfortable. The room (The Tree Top) was great -- lots of character -- and we loved the fact there was a little balcony to sit out on. Best of all, and this may not appeal to a lot of people, we were able to open the windows (everything screened properly)! We hate air conditioning (although we admit it is necessary sometimes), and to be able to sleep with the Florida air drifting in was a joy. That's not to say that the air conditioning wasn't adequate -- it was fine. But thank you, Penny Farthing Inn, for NOT going the way of most B&Bs and bolting the windows shut!

Stayed for a weekend for our anniversary. Great location with easy walking to all the sites. Nice and quiet. Marie was very friendly and helpful. Nice breakfast in the morning and afternoon tea and happy hour. Loved our room(The Victorian Bedchamber) which had a large private deck with chairs and a hammock. The only issue I could see for some people was that there wasn't any climate control in your room. I had heard you could control your AC in the hallway to each floor so I wasn't concerned as we were the only ones on our floor but the Climate control had a lockbox around it. I was really hot one night at around 2 a.m and couldn't do anything about it. I'm sure if I had called one of their cells they would have adjusted it for me but I didn't want to contact them in the middle of the night.
