My husband and I spent 10 glorious days at the Tropical Paradise Bed & Breakfast. Joanne and Clift were very accommodating hosts. Their Breakfasts were out of this world! The grounds were very tropical and their pool very refreshing. One couldn't beat the price of the room. We look forward to vacationing next year where we will be sure to stay once again at Tropical Paradise!

We stayed with Joanne and Cliff for 3 days and absolutely loved it! They were friendly and accommodating and made us feel like part of their family. Our room was perfect and the breakfast was outstanding. We go to the Port Charlotte area every year and this will be the only place we will stay.

We stayed for 12 days. It is a relatively secluded area (much less busy than the Sarasota or Fort Myers areas), with up-to-date facilities, a comfortable room, an attractive screened-in pool area, and beautiful waterway views. Joanne and Clift were helpful and friendly. We came and went with no fuss and no problems. Clift served big breakfasts every day at about 8:30. Most of these were very good (make sure he makes his pecan French toast, which is something like bread pudding). One suggestion would be that he let the guests know what he is planning (currently he only decides either late the night before or the morning itself). This would allow modest adjustments to suit specific tastes, particularly when only one set of guests is present. Having said this, I should add that Clift and Joanne were good at making certain accommodations, such as providing fruit, yogurt, coffee, etc. for us to make our own breakfast on those days when we left early. We're birders and this was an excellent area for birding. Also the area has a surprising number of good restaurants nearby, and not just in Punta Gorda. It's not every B&B that you can be comfortable in for a long stay; this is definitely one of them.

My wife and I stayed here on vacation for a week. We enjoyed our time here. Joanne and Cliff are very accomadating hosts. We enjoy breakfast and the breakfast served every day was very good usually something different each day. We also got there early as we had an early flight and they were able to accomadate our early arrival If you you are in the Port Charlotte area we would recommend this place. Prices are reasonable as well . Place is quiet and is in a quit area close to the main areas of the town. Bob & Linnae, Pennsylvania.

I bought this as a Christmas gift for my husband. It was our first getaway in a very long time. We were excited to leave our children behind and have some quiet time. It was our first BnB and we loved it. We were welcomed and felt right at home. Our bedroom was beautiful and the bathroom was filled with bubble bath, soap, shampoo etc. The jet tub is huge and so is the shower. The house is pristine. The area is serene and overlooking the water. We had breakfast every morning with another couple. It was nice chatting over breakfast. We will definitely go again this year to see Clift and Joanne. We came as strangers and left as friends.

My wife and I stayed at Island paradise for two nights and greatly enjoyed our little get away. The room and common areas were very clean and made you feel at home. The hosts were very helpful, they offered advise on site seeing and dinning as well as providing fresh breakfast every morning. We definitely recommend their bed and breakfast as the place to stay if ever visiting Port Charlotte.

Joanne and Cliff are the perfect pair for hosts. Joanne does a great job with the hospitality and the cooking and Cliff will never steer you wrong. Cliff knows all the right spots for things to do and has some pretty good stories to go along with them. Joanne is just a sweetheart and provides a wonderful fresh breakfast. You will fell at home here in Port Charlotte, which is close to lots of things to do (it's a sheller's paradise) but also provides a nice quiet retreat.

We stayed at the Tropical Paradise in March 2015 with another couple and the name of this B&B certainly fits. This truly is a tropical paradise. The rooms were clean, the beds comfortable, the breakfasts delicious and the grounds are breathtaking.Cliff and Joanne are great hosts and helped us with local attractions. - Jim & Karen Doyle - Canada
