We so enjoyed our short stay in Monticello at the Cottage B&B. When we arrived, Martha and Jean Michel were relaxing in the Venetian patio, and they invited us to join them for wine and appetizers. We enjoyed lovely conversation with this delightful couple, and then toured this amazing "villa" that Jean Michel has created along with the beautiful gardens. We then walked to a local Mexican restaurant and enjoyed a wonderful dinner. The continental breakfast the next morning included excellent pastry, yogurt, fresh fruit and delicious coffee. We definitely look forward to returning to the Cottage B&B when we visit Monticello in the future.
We so enjoyed your stay, too, and thank you for the glowing review! Come back soon and often and we look forward to being "neighbors"!

Who would guess that tucked away, yet within a very easy walking distance from the center of Monticello, Florida, a charming village itself in the depths of Panhandle Florida, is the most charming, romantic inn you will ever have the pleasure of staying in. Its owners, Jean-Michael and Martha, he French and she an old-world Floridian, have created not only an architectural work of Art, but one which embraces you with all the comforts that you can only wish "home" had. In a high-tech world not unalloyed with stress, here is a place where you can repose in the utmost comfort, enjoy gorgeously prepared and served meals, read a book with even real pages to turn, walk into town, take a nap, do a watercolor or wish you could, go kayaking on the Wacissa, or simply contemplate heaven. This is a gem of a place, off the beaten path, but all the better for it, and for you.
Thank you SO much! We're so glad you enjoyed and appreciated what we have tried to bring about! It's gratifying when someone "gets it" and you sure did! It's eve better when they broadcast it and let others know how great our property is! Please return soon and often, as we hope to make you friends as well as guests!

From the moment you walk up to the Cottage B&B you get a feeling that this is a home that is truly loved. They have done an amazing job of turning a simple little cottage into an amazing experience. From the walls around the courtyard, to the details in the interior decorating, the artistic flare that Martha and Jean have put into their home is nothing short of incredible. The brilliance of these creative touches are only matched by the warmth of their hospitality. My wife and I could not have felt more relaxed and at home if we were staying with family. From our amazing room, to the local restaurant they recommended, to a five star breakfast the next morning with wonderful company, everything was well beyond my expectations. We will definitely stay here again. Thank you so much, Martha and Jean, for such a wonderful experience. June and John

We stayed in the Romeo and Juliet room and were blown away at how cozy it is! Martha and Jon Michel were incredibly enjoyable to speak with! They are very nice people and know a lot about the area to provide guidance to what is going on!
Thanks SO much! We are so happy you enjoyed it - DO return soon and often to see us - you never know what will have changed or been enhanced!
