I would recommend to stay at the Ambrosia. The people are very friendly and helpful. They have different units/houses and we were on the bottom floor of an older home. I would say the only negative is the bathroom needs an over haul but it is a older home and comes with the territory. Otherwise the room was spacious, tall ceilings. The breakfast was wonderful, fresh fruit, etc. The location is great, only a couple blocks from main downtown. I would stay there again.

This place is quiet and comfy, with pools galore and close enough to all the excitement of Duval St & Mallory Square but, nicely "tucked away" to be able to relax quietly and rest! Staff is always helpful and cordial too! My hats off to Lexi & Iveta for all their assistance!

My wife and I enjoyed staying at the Ambrosia Key West Inn for our 30th wedding anniversary. We walked everywhere due to the wonderful location a couple blocks off Duval and so close to everything. The staff was accommodating and the accommodations were outstanding. From the great location, 2 pools and hot tub, yummy breakfast and the attention to details, we were so impressed. We look forward to staying at the Ambrosia on our next visit to Key West.

My husband and I love driving down to the keys. We are extremely fortunate to live in South Florida! Ambrosia is a hidden gem, centrally located, an oasis. We stayed in the honeymoon suite; the bed was so comfy and the bathroom had a jacuzzi tub. The hot tub was located right by our room, the pool was across the street in the adjacent building. All the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. I was concerned that hurricane Matthew would ruin our plans, but the staff was so accommodating, offering a refund if necessary. Thankfully we were able to make it down. We are definitely looking forward to returning in February!

Ambrosia is very centrally located, convenient to all the restaurants and action, yet quiet and serene. The breakfast includes something for everyone, including early morning coffee with muffins and toast, followed by a full breakfast with eggs, bacon, cereals, yogurt, juices etc. The Alligator Room was spacious, and included a beautiful lanai for lounging outside to watch the world go by. This is a must in KW!

This place is absolutely amazing!! First off there are two pools and a private hot tub. The Ambrosia is located in multiple houses. I stayed across the steeet in their Tree Top room. I was on the third floor with my own private outside area and with amazing views of lush tropical Key West. My room had a large bathroom, nice size bedroom and another room with a couch, microwave, refrigerator and coffee maker. I thought their breakfast was going to be some kind of continental breakfast but it was fresh juices, eggs, bacon, fruit, breads, hot coffee choices and cereals. The staff was really helpful with everything at Ambrosia and were always informative and knowledgeable of Key West and it's attractions. My favorite was the girl at the front desk!! I don't remember her name but she was funny, nice and she even stood in a front row car space for me so I could get better parking. I had a blast and will definitely be back. Ambrosia is within walking distance to everything that Key West has to offer and super close to famous Duval St!! I recommend this bed and breakfast to alll who want to visit Key West and want stay somewhere with that historic Key West fun feel... Enjoy !! Erik Leitzes CornerStone Coastal Properties.

Very convenient pet friendly B&B. Rooms are dated and need a rehab, but staff is friendly and location is perfect.

Spur of the moment trip to Key West. The Ambrosia was great ! Location is close to many of the popular areas without being noisy. In turns out that one walks most everywhere in Key West, which is great except in the high heat and humidity of August. We will return, but during a cooler month. The Ambrosia will be our first choice, particularly if we can get the Alligator Room again.

B&B is in a great location and management are very friendly. Rooms could use a good refurbishing, but the Inn is still comfortable.

Quickly scheduled trip for a short get away. We stayed in the Alligator Room (#104). It was very nice with a private patio overlooking the lap pool. The morning breakfast was laid out in the Gazebo at the far end of the pool, which was convenient. Everything exceeded our expectations and we will return, just at a cooler time of the year.

We absolutely loved our stay at Ambrosia. My fiance loved the vintage styling of the place and surrounding area. Much happier than staying at a hotel.

From the moment we made our reservations the staff was exceptional. Before we arrived they helped and made outstanding suggestions on who we should use for our daily excursions. Our group of 19 adults enjoyed the hospitality of the Ambrosia Family! Every room was beautiful and they enjoyed breakfast at the pool each morning! We all look forward to our return visit!

We stayed in the Tree Top Suite for a five day vacation. The private deck was amazing and the suite very comfortable. I was very impressed with the cleanliness and diligence of the lovely lady who cleaned every day. We had planned to go out for breakfast several mornings but the buffet and patio was so incredible we never felt a need to go anywhere. We were in a perfect location and could walk everywhere. It was one of most memorable stays (and that includes our trip to Europe). We will definitely return to Key West and Ambrosia. Thank you for everything.

Katie's Cottage was big, roomy and everything was in working order in the room. Property is immaculately maintained. Just a couple of blocks walk to Duval's Historic district. Ate the most amazing fish tacos at a new restaurant just off Duval called Sand Bar Grill.

The location of the Ambrosia is ideal! Just 2 blocks off of Duval, close enough to the action but far enough to escape the noise. My wife and I spent 4 nights here in March and we really enjoyed our stay. We already have reservations for next year. They provide a nice breakfast each morning with plenty of options.

My husband and I stayed here for 5 days, loved every minute of it! The service was wonderful, everyone was beyond helpful and kind. The facilities were great, rooms were clean and comfortable, public areas were well maintained. Only problem was the tiny gazebo space where breakfast was offered, too small a space for the foot traffic resulting in some delays. Otherwise, a wonderful stay!

We've stayed in Key West on three different occasions at three different bed and breakfasts, but this was by far our favourite. Even the value priced rooms have mini fridges and coffee! Our room was huge! And the price was amazing compared to other b&bs in the area. We will definitely be back.

Everything about our 2 night stay at Ambrosia Key West was wonderful. The room, pools, breakfast, and all of the staff we interacted with were above our expectations. It was a very relaxing and quiet place to stay which we enjoyed very much. Our pet bird who traveled with us was welcomed, and we had no difficulty with parking. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Key West. The location of Ambrosia was also excellent, it was convenient to the activities we wanted to do, and also was very close to a full service grocery store for miscellaneous items we needed. Very nice stay. We will stay here again next time we visit Key West. We are a couple that traveled from Minnesota..

We stayed a week and had a great time, staff was very helpful with everything. Breakfast every morning was a great way to get started everyday. I will stay there the next time we come down.
4.6 on May 24, 2015
We love it here. The staff is great and they have pet friendly rooms. They are a little pricier than our go to pet friendly B&B in old town, but when that place is booked and we have a little extra cash on hand Ambrosia is great.
5 on May 23, 2015
We stayed in the Jungle Room (recommended) with a nearly personal spa just outside the door The breakfast was very enjoyable and the range of food was as you would expect A quiet area of Key West and very close to all amenities The Jungle Room was very spacious and well outfitted
5 on May 21, 2015
We absolutely love Ambrosia. The rooms are all ways clean. The pools and hot tub are perfect. Breakfast is the best and the staff (especially Tina & Tim) are always helpful and super friendly. We tell everyone to stay at Ambrosia. Dennis & Jacqulyn Guthrie
5 on May 10, 2015
Great place to stay, we had the Jungle Room, walked out the door, down 3 steps to the spa, even mosquito spray was supplied. There was nothing that we were not happy with. Breakfast we help yourself to. Great selection of food, all set up around the pool. Very clean room and a fantastic collection of coffees and teas in room . Plenty of pods for the coffee and teas and if you needed nothing you only he to ask. Water coolers and cups conveniently placed, ice, and pool towels. We would definetly stay again!, Robert and Geraldine

Would definitely stay again. Really lovely place, staff could no do too much for us (apart from the grump man who kept slamming our doors shut). Really pretty and very quiet considering how near it is to the mayhem of Duval Street.

my wife and I were very pleased with the service and accommodations. The location was very central to the popular destinations yet offers a seclusion and peacefuless that truly make it unique. We hope to return soon!

The staff was welcoming and very helpful. The location was perfect as it was within walking distance to all main attractions. I was however, disappointed in the room. We paid full value and expected the room to be in a newer state, it felt old.
4.4 on March 11, 2015
My recent stay at Ambrosia was wonderful... as always. We stayed in the Jungle Room the first night. great room with a private entrance. Loved it. The rest of our stay was in Katie's Cottage as we had friends meeting us down there. Ambrosia is centrally located but just enough off Duval to feel like your own little sanctuary. Thank you Tina and Lexi for another wonderful stay. Hopefully I will be back soon!

We stayed for one night in the Treetop Suite - a perfect secret hideway gem up in the treetops! Quiet and calm, you get your own peace. Just lovely! The jacuzzi just down the stairs is a perfect spot to unwind in the evening. The breakfast was good and we could eat it at our own terrace. Ambrosia is really nice, cozy and romantic!

We loved our stay at the Ambrosia. Quiet neighborhood but short, convenient walking distance to Duval ST. Our room was amazing and so cozy! The staff was so courteous and helpful. Great breakfast. Everything was perfect! Will definitely be staying again!

Excellent Bed & Breakfast in Key West. Breakfast bar is better than most.
4.6 on January 01, 2015
The hosts provided outstanding customer service from the second we arrived - finding parking for our car, giving us a map of the area and explaining how we could best enjoy our afternoon and following morning in Key West. They even looked after our luggage and vehicle after check-out so we could go on a boat excursion in the afternoon. The suite was luxurious, quiet, private, and very enjoyable. Location was easy walking distance from everything we wanted to see. They even had friendly cats on site - always a bonus for us cat lovers!
3.6 on November 19, 2014
This is a fantastic place to stay as far as the service is concerned. Extremely courteous personnel, prompt attention to issues, and close to Duval Street. I would say it's a bit expensive for what you get concerning room size and amenities. Also, children are allowed here so it can get noisy if there is a loud child. Overall, I would recommend this location, but I will personally likely look to another place next time I go to try some variety.
5 on October 31, 2014
Ambrosia is secluded and quiet, but just steps away from Duval Street. Our room was #107, pool front with chairs outside the room, plus lounge chairs for the pool. The spa pool was also just outside the room and was wonderful. The room was clean and neat, offered a refrig, keruig coffee maker, desk and chair. Free Wifi. The bathroom was spacious with a large closet. The staff was friendly and provided a terrific breakfast. I would go back in a minute.

A charming B and B set in lovey planted gardens, and moments away from the hub of key west. Our stay was comfortable and met our expectations. The buffet breakfast was great and you had a wide choice. However, our room was a little disappointing especially the heavy scaled shower which was very off putting. I would recommend anyone to stay here but pled that the owners spend a little more time making sure the room cleaning is as high as the rest of the service they provide.
1.8 on August 21, 2014
I was disappointed by this B and B because the reception wasn't very good, the women didn't smile. Nobody didn't care about our feelings during the stay The shower and the w.c didn't work very well and you could see some insects on the floor during the night and that for 225 bucks a night
5 on August 13, 2014

This was my first visit to Key West, and so I reserved a room here just based on an internet search. Usually this type of risk leaves me disappointed. But, not this time. The staff are so friendly and accommodating. Best customer service I have received in a long time. Rooms were very clean. Breakfast was wonderful and even included some hot items. I will be staying there next time I travel to Key West. I highly recommend Ambrosia Key West.

Great B&B. Breakfast ok with great coffee. Enjoyed our stay - only downside our room door was left open all day by the cleaning lady - a bit concerning when no safe/safety deposit.

Ambrosia was just perfect . Far enough off of Duval but close enough too. Clean , quite, comfortable rooms .

The property is lovely and in a great location. You can walk to everything. It was quiet and friendly staff. My room was across the street and up stairs and the room was quite small for the price, although the bathroom was as large as the room. I would have preferred to have been ground level and near the pool or with a private patio as many of the rooms had.

The staff were very accommodating- they arranged to have bikes delivered & even picked up, gave good maps & directions, etc.. Even the cleaning people were friendly. It was nice to have a kureig coffee maker, fridge & microwave in the room. The grocery store was just 2 blocks away. The morning breakfast was good. The location was also convenient. My only complaint was the smoking policy. Guests were allowed to smoke outside their rooms which also meant at the breakfast area & pool area. One man was a chain smoker!!I We therefore left the small pool area- couldn't escape it. We also retreated back to out rooms immediately after breakfast. It can still be offensive even if you are outside!! Yuck! This would be the only reason I may find another place next time.

We were there for just 1 night and we stayed at the honeymoon suite. I was worried about the parking area for the car, but it was easy to find in the street with their help. Everything was perfect, the room, the breakfast at the beautiful garden, the silent place at night and the restaurante they recommended us to have dinner. Thanks Jenny and colleagues for all the attention.

I just returned from my stay in the Pool Suite: The Alligator, it was magnificient! It was my first time in a bed and breakfast inn. The best way to describe The Ambroisa is to say that if you were in a coma for months and then woke up you would know that you were in the Florida Keys. It is so tropical and elegant. It is quiet and restful...very pet friendly for my Yorkie. The staff does a wonderful job to help with information and directions. The morning breakfast in the gazebo was first rate...all decorated in a tropical theme. The room was comfortable and gorgeous! I can not wait to go return for another visit.

My boyfriend & I found Ambrosia on-line (Frommer pick)! Within first moment of speaking with Tina, we knew we'd found the place to stay in Key West. The graciousness & professionalism that was extended during phone conversation assured us that we'd found a gem. The property is a class act, from the accomodations to the breakfast; (yum). We cannot wait to go back again and again. THANK YOU for being the best hosts we've found in a long time. Respectfully, David & Lainie Krantz.

My husband and I stayed 3 nights here and LOVED every minute. Christina and the other ladies were so nice. The pool area was a tropical paradise. A breakfast buffet was served every morning poolside from the gazebo. We loved the breakfast! It was the best out of the 7 b&bs we stayed in during our trip. Fruits, pastries, sausage, eggs, toast, muffins, bagels, yougart, cereal, and more! We stayed in a town house that had everything we could need! Great location. 5 minute walk to Duval Street.

I have never written a review before and must admit that I'm a bit lazy when it comes to that, be it a good or bad experiance. But I must say that this B&B is one of the best I have ever been to, including my stay in several B&B's in Europe. Very accomodating staff, excellent hospitality, great location and very close to Duval St., more than expected for breakfast and superb price for the area and what it has to offer. The hotel offers different types of rooms, all with great Key West style. Fold out couch/bed was a bit uncomfortable in roopm #2 but that is all I have to say that is negative about this place. A must for any stay in Key West!!!!

My wife and I stayed here on our honeymoon in August of 2006. The room we originally reserved was not available, so they gave us a larger more expensive room. However, this room did not have a jacuzzi which is why we originally wanted the honeymoon suite. The room was nice, service was good, the breakfast was a simple continental breakfast which seems to be the standard in key west. The pools and outside area were clean. There was off street parking.
